Chapter One
He stood off to the side, his arms folded across his chest as he glanced at the raven-haired girl from the corner of his eye. His gaze lowered from her face and to the fluff of white she had cradled up to her chest, and he had to bite back his huff of agitation.
She'd had the damn thing for almost three weeks now. What was so great about it that she had to carry it everywhere?
Gojo actually huffed then, his expression turning into a glare directed at the white cat she held. Jeez, this was a brand new low for him, wasn't it?
Jealous over a cat.
He watched her rub her fingers against the top of its head, in between its ears, and he felt another pang of jealousy.
Maybe he wanted head pats, too…
A few more seconds of silence passed by slowly before he got fed up to the point he stalked towards her. He sat down on the couch beside her with a huff, not outwardly saying he wanted her attention, but making sure his actions conveyed the message loud and clear. It worked a little bit, and she picked her head up to look at him.
"Something wrong?" Kagome asked, tilting her head to the side. She had that cute, oblivious look on her face.
"What's so great about that cat, anyway?" he huffed. Kagome plucked the cat up, hoisting his fluffy body up into the air as he stretched in response.
"Look at him," she said as if it was obvious. "He's so pretty, and cuddly. Plus his fur's so soft!"
He glared at the cat for several long seconds before he turned away, letting his gaze go to the TV in front of them.
He was pretty, and he could be cuddly. Way more so than some dumb cat. Plus, he was willing to bet that his hair was much softer than its fur.
He sat there, disinterestedly staring ahead of him at the TV, but he kept glancing at the girl beside him. His eyes narrowed when the cat curled up against her chest. That was the last straw for him, and his jealousy got the better of him.
Wordlessly, he turned towards her and abruptly took the cat from her arms. She looked at him, confused, as he placed it on the floor. To his satisfaction, it walked off upon getting placed down. He felt her looking at him, and he matched her with his own stare.
"What'd you do that for?" she asked, a pout on her face. "He was comfy."
Gojo bit back the scoff that almost got free at her comment. "Good for him," he remarked, a bit too snarky. "I'm not comfy,"
"... What." Kagome matched him with a flat tone, arching a brow. He huffed this time, folding his arms across his chest.
"That cat's getting all your attention," Gojo stated. If not for the serious tone, Kagome would've thought he was joking and teasing her. "It's not fair."
"You…-" Kagome paused as the realization made itself present in her mind. "You're jealous of… a cat?"
A flush of red threatened to pepper his face at her tone, but he didn't deny it. "... Maybe I want the same treatment, is all I'm saying."
Kagome tilted her head to the side. "You…- You actually want me to treat you like that?" she asked, surprise lingering in her voice. She wasn't poking fun at his statement, but she was looking for confirmation. "I didn't think that you'd…-" she trailed off, her tone shifting to thoughtful. "Well, you're tall and strong. I figured you'd find it patronizing."
She sat there, watching as he pouted. A part of her thought that she should be surprised, but another part- the much more logical one- knew this shouldn't come as some huge revelation. After all, she was more than familiar with how he could be, considering they were classmates, and they'd been friends for longer than that.
Kagome scooted back against the armrest of the couch, tucking her legs up beside her. He glanced at her when she moved, and she held her arms open in an invitation. She noticed him perk up as he wasted no time diving head-first into her chest, laying out across her legs as his long arms found their way around her hips.
Gojo moved his head to rest it against her chest, a pleased smile spreading across his face as he closed his eyes. She was warm, soft, and felt like paradise. She moved her hand to rest it on his head. Nimble fingers combed through his white hair in a gentle caress that left him feeling content and soothed.
"You know," Kagome began softly, her other hand straying to his hair as well. "If you wanted this, all you had to do is say something," she stated. "I don't mind."
Gojo hummed in response, already planning to use those words to his advantage every chance he got. Someone like him…- He was used to being perceived as strong and powerful. It felt nice to be coddled and nurtured. Especially by her.
"Sometimes I wonder if I over-indulge you when you want things," she mused after a second, a joking tone laced to those words. He often wanted things from her, after all. More often than not, she found herself giving in to those requests, too. "You're already spoiled enough as is." He'd always been spoiled, and she definitely made it worse.
"Don't joke like that," he responded, nuzzling his face into the center of her chest. Her sweet scent surrounded him, just like her warmth did. "You can always spoil me more," he said with a laugh. "I don't mind one bit, you know." His hands burrowed underneath her shirt, palms settling flat against her skin
Kagome resisted the urge to roll her eyes. She bent her head forward to press a kiss to the top of his head, much to his satisfaction. "You're really lucky that I can stand you," she stated in a teasing tone.
"Good thing, too," he responded, not bothered by her words. "Because you're stuck with me, whether you like it or not."
He wasn't letting go, that much was for certain.
Auroua-chan: Spoiled Gojo is a mood. Mixed with just a bit of possessiveness and he's a handful. Kagome caters to him a bit too much, but if someone were to ask him, there's no way that's even a possibility. It's a good thing she's used to him.
Anyway, that's it for now! Thank you all for reading, and I hope you all enjoyed! Hopefully I caught all the errors before posting, but if not sorry.
