West Side of Zartosth City

The Imperial soldiers and the City Guards were annihilated by the American, British, and French units from every direction without giving any chance from them as the ITFA wanted this battle to end quickly. The only reason that prevents them from capturing this city soon is that the size of Zartosth is about 1,800 km2 (approx. 444,789 acres), almost the same as Houston's city size in Texas.
Despite the density of the buildings, the road in this city still manages to accommodate the armored vehicles of ITFA to pass by.
However, because the width of the road is only about 7 meters (22.9 feet), the tank gunner or the armored vehicle gunner is worried as it is a bad idea to bring a vehicle into the middle of the city during urban warfare.
All of the ITFA soldiers realize that despite the enemy only using swords or bows and arrows. They know this world is still full of secrets that haven't been solved yet. They hypothesize that there is a high chance for the enemy to use another weird weapon that is as deadly as their weapons, Augustus' Empire could be having another alliance with a Steampunk-themed country or another High Magic-themed country.
Right after ITFA stepped their feet into this world, they knew that day after day they were in this world, new challenges would appear. Like it or not, they need to face it.
When the American, British, and French units almost reach the city center, Colonel Samuel Garcia order his soldiers to check every alley and report at least every 5-7 minutes.
Not even a minute has passed, and one of the American squads led by First Sergeant Raymond Pritchard has encountered an enemy squad in the alley. Without hesitation, Sergeant Pritchard and his men begin to kill them.
Inside the building around the ITFA unit, all Zartosth citizens are hiding behind their door, under the bed, inside the cupboard, or under the table. Hell, even there is a mother who hugs her children while the father holds a sword until the intruder opens the door.
"I'm scared, mom..."
"Everything is going to be alright, sweetie. They won't come."
Right after the mother said that to her daughter, another sound of carbine rifles can be heard again followed by a scream, which means the ITFA soldiers have just killed another Imperial Army or City Guard squad.
All of the Zartosth citizens begin to speculate, is this their punishment for being too arrogant against their gods? Does Hardy send these soldiers? Or maybe Emroy? Or could it be Luania's doing?
Zartosth is known as one of the earlier cities in the Empire's history. This was the first capital of the Empire before being moved to Sadera. Thousand years ago, this city was once ruled by the High Elves before being raided by the horde of goblins and later by the Empire during their conquest. The city has been under the Empire's rule for about 600 years.
Today, this city will be under ITFA's control. Once this city is under their hands, the Empire will lose one of their city hubs.
"I think that's the last of them..." First Sergeant Pritchard said while moving the enemy corpse's head with his feet. He did that to confirm whether the enemy was dead or not.
Still not sure that the enemy is dead, First Sergeant Pritchard does a double-tap, a technique to shoot the enemy again even if they are deceased and lying on the ground.
First Sergeant Pritchard and his men ruthlessly dump their one bullet onto the corpse of enemy soldiers.
From the different side of the city, Rory widened up her hands and legs as she retrieved many fallen warrior souls.
"Emroy, today is another one of your gracious days, please take their fallen souls..." Rory said while holding her halberd and the blood that covered almost her entire body.
When Rory looks to her right side, she sees Bhukzog ruthlessly chop the head of an Imperial soldier with his battle axe into two pieces. As the fresh blood comes out from the head of the Imperial soldier, he drinks it with so much passion as it is the blood of his enemy.
For the first time, Bhukzog can see the difference between good and bad humans. To him, the only humans he respected were these Other-World humans. During his lifetime, these Other-World humans are the first humans that helped him, even treating him like a human. This is proven more when he looks at how the Other-Worlders treat fellow Dark Races like him, such as a Tiefling and Lizardfolk at the MOB Alnus Hill.
After Bhukzog drops the pieces of the head of an Imperial soldier, he and Rory look at Tikhomirov, who approaches them after escorting the family of General Gracicus.
"Rory, Bhukzog, give me a report." Tikhomirov asked.
"Well, what does it look like, Captain? We just killed an entire Empire Army unit." Bhukzog said while putting his battle axe on his right shoulder.
Tikhomirov's eye scans the surroundings and sees about twenty-eight dead Imperial soldiers. All of them are killed in a sadistic way; some of them are cut in half or their head decapitated. After a few months in this world, he finally sees how wild and cruel the fantasy world is. He is relieved that Bhukzog and Rhaunza can recognize the difference between Imperial soldiers and civilians as he sees no dead innocent people.
"I'm glad that you guys did not kill the townspeople. Now, we need to regroup with our unit. Colonel Garcia said we will become the spearhead in this battle to clear the north sector." Tikhomirov said, "You all do not need to worry, this area will be handled by Colonel Garcia's men."
Then, Tikhomirov pressed the button on his walkie-talkie and began to talk to the other Third Recon Platoon commanders, "Itami! Konrad! Weidemann! This is Captain Tikhomirov! Colonel Garcia wants us to secure the north sector with the First Recon Platoon. I want you all to regroup in the Plaza ASAP!" Tikhomirov said. Then he heard so much 'Affirmative' after he said that.
"Rory, Bhukzog, Rhaunza, follow me." Tikhomirov ordered them. Behind them, Batsarashkina and Kalashnikov are also following them while checking their six.
When Tikhomirov approaches his unit, he tells them to move to the plaza site and wait for the First Recon Platoon.
While waiting for the First Recon Platoon in the Plaza, they received an attack from the north side by the archers of the Imperial Army. Unfortunately, the arrow hits Kurata right at his chest, making him fall to the ground and try to get the arrow out. Luckily, the arrow only hit his bulletproof vest, which gives him more protection.
"Kurata! Kurata! Are you okay?" Itami panicked as he saw Kurata get hit by an arrow projectile.
"Y-yeah, I am okay, Captain." Kurata said while still holding his Type 20 with his right hand. He quickly uses his two hands to remove the arrow from the bulletproof vest.
"Arpeggio! Give us a cover!" Tikhomirov asked.
"I got you, Captain!" Arpeggio replied. She began to chant a bubble magic shield to protect the Third Recon Platoon from enemy projectiles. Just like in video games, the enemy projectiles can't get through, but for the mage's ally, their projectile can get through, "This magic shield would give us time for one minute! Is it enough, Captain?" Arpeggio said.
"More than enough!" Tikhomirov replied while he fired his AK at the Imperial soldiers. He successfully kills nine Imperial soldiers.
"Granate raus! (Grenade out!)" Weidemann said in German as he pulled out the pin of a DM51 grenade and threw it in the direction where the enemy squad was located. When the grenade exploded, it killed about twelve Imperial soldiers and wounded six Imperial soldiers.
"Nice throw, Weidemann!" Konrad praises Weidemann after the grenade that Weidemann threw manages to kill dozens of Imperial soldiers.
Tikhomirov hears loud running footsteps from behind. When he looks at the source of the sound, he sees the soldiers from First Recon Platoon.
"Рад видеть Вас снова, Новосельцев! (Rad videt' Vas snova, Novosel'tsev!/Glad to see you again, Novoseltsev!)" Tikhomirov was relieved after he encountered his comrade, Captain Novoseltsev.
"Ты тоже, Тихомиров! (Ty tozhe, Tikhomirov!/You too, Tikhomirov!)" Novoseltsev replied while he continued to fire his AK-74M in the enemy direction.
"Everyone. I just got a new order from Colonel Garcia! We will push to the north until Blakenstedt village! It is the nearest village to the border of Aguacchia Province and Campotania Province! The distance is about 37.9 miles from our position!" Captain Armstrong said.
"That's about 61 kilometers..." Tikhomirov said, "Alright then everyone. Return to your vehicle! Let's go! Let's go!" Tikhomirov said as he waved his hand and led the unit alongside Captain Armstrong.
The First Recon Platoon and Third Recon Platoon began to mobilize to the north direction of the city.
Alnus Main Operating Base, Alnus Hill, Alnuska Province, Falmart Region, Special Region
0045 hours
Inside the War Room, Lieutenant General Washington and the other ITFA generals are reading the reports from each front commander. When his eyes look at the city description, he once again feels guilty and curses himself as he sees the size of Zartosth City, which is located on the north side of Alnuska Province.
"Gentlemen...it seems that I have made a mistake." Lieutenant General Washington said, "I've just read Colonel Samuel Garcia's report about the situation in the north front. It seems that we lack the amount of force to capture the city. According to him, Zartosth is about the same size as Houston city." he continued. This means sending 3,000 troops to capture a city is a big miscalculation.
After Lieutenant General Washington said that, Major General Czesław Frankowski, who will command all of the Polish Armed Forces activity in Special Region, raised his hand, "Does the intelligence division not give any information about the city before we attack those places?"
"Sadly, no." Lieutenant General Washington replied, "We do not know the reason why they didn't check this region completely."
When Lieutenant General Washington reads the report again, he is relieved as he finally finds good news. The good news is that they have captured about 4 kilometers (2.48 miles) of the city. But still, if they want to capture the city quickly, they need to send more troops into that city so that tonight, the Alnuska Province is under their control.
From a distance, Lieutenant General Voroshilov is talking to his aide, Warrant Officer (Пра́порщик/Práporshchik) Denis Andriyashev, "Андрияшев, СВР знает об этом? (Andriyashev, SVR znayet ob etom?/Andriyashev, does the SVR know about this?)."
"Думаю, нет, товарищ генерал. (Dumayu, net, tovarishch general/I think not, Comrade General)." Warrant Officer Andriyashev replied.
Lieutenant General Voroshilov can only sigh after hearing that. Then, he raised his hand, "Gentlemen, I think we all have the same problem here. Not only the intelligence division from the United States that missed exploring this province but also from our side. Fortunately, the good news is that our current problem is only to capture Zartosth."
Lieutenant General Voroshilov takes a paper to read the report from his men.
"According to Major Denis Gavrikov, the commander of the Russian unit in the east front of Alnuska Province, they said that they have been regrouped with the unit tasked to protect Italica after the siege. Then I got another report from Lieutenant Colonel (Подполко́вник/Podpolkóvnik) Danil Tregubov, he said that the west side of the Alnuska Province is fully secured."
"I can confirm this." Major General Brinkmann said, "My unit that was sent to the west side of the Alnuska Province, commanded by Master Sergeant (Hauptfeldwebel) Rudolf Niermann, said that they have reached the border of Bergajara Province, the province that borders with the west side of Alnuska."
"Well then, I think it's safe to say that about 90% of Alnuska Province is under our control. Now, regarding the situation of our troops in Zartosth, I think we should send more troops to that city." Lieutenant General Washington said, "Our plan right now is to secure the whole Alnuska Province and prevent any Imperial soldiers who try to enter this province."
As one of the Phase I countries of the International Task Force Alliance, Lieutenant General Hongzhang raised his hand.
"With all respect, Lieutenant General Washington. Unfortunately, we from the People's Liberation Army can't provide enough troops to be sent to Zartosth." Lieutenant General Hongzhang said.
It is true. The personnel amount of all of the ITFA Phase I countries that were stationed in this base is about 4,000 troops, not as many as the personnel from the United States, Russia, Germany, and Japan who have almost 30,000 troops.
"No problem. Right now, I only authorize my army alongside the Russian, the German, and the Japanese Army to help our boys in Zartosth."
A few minutes later, after the meeting finished, the Motor Pool section in the MOB was full of American, Russian, German, and Japanese soldiers as they began to mobilize from the MOB to Zartosth.

Some of those ground vehicles are stored underground. The reason? It was Lieutenant General Hazama's idea to ask the construction workers to create a Motor Pool basement so that there would be enough space to store tanks, IFVs, APCs, and ground vehicles before they could make another military base in other cities.
Even though Lieutenant General Washington knows that this convoy will cause a logistical nightmare, he has no choice as the takeover of Alnuska Province needs to be done before tomorrow morning. So, to prevent any trouble, he orders the reinforcement convoy to split into three directions. Trucks will play their role as transport vehicles, APCs and IFVs as both transport and attack vehicles, Helicopters as transport and close air support, SPAAGs as anti-air support, and jet fighters both as air support and air fighters in case there is another wyvern squadron base.
The pilot who will participate in this mission is Captain John "Rundal" Randall from the 80th Fighter Squadron, United States Air Force, and Captain (Kапита́н/Kapitán) Andrei Stepanovich Markov from the 6989th Aviation Squadron, 11th Air and Air Defence Forces Army.
Inside Hangar-1, which consists of 4 Sukhoi Su-27M2, 4 Mikoyan MiG-35MD, 4 General Dynamics F-16C Block 50/52, and 4 McDonnell Douglas F-15EX Eagle II; the hangar workers begin to pull out the F-16 with 00-0335 serial number and Su-27 with 01 red serial number; which two of them are respectively flown by Captain Randall and Captain Markov.
Once those two jet fighters are outside Hangar-1, Captain Randall and Captain Markov enter their respective plane and start their engine.
Then, when Markov's Su-27 is on the runway, he begins to communicate with the Air Traffic Controller.
"Alnus Air Traffic Control, this is Akula One, is my connection clear and loud, copy?" Markov said.
"~~Akula One, this is Alnus Air Traffic Control. Your voice is clear and loud, over.~~" said the Alnus Airbase ATC radio operator.
"Alnus Air Traffic Control, this is Shark One, requesting for takeoff clearance with Akula One." Randall asked.
"~~Shark One, this is Alnus Air Traffic Control. You have the clearance to take off with Akula One, over.~~" replied the Alnus Airbase ATC radio operator.
Once the ATC gave them clearance to take off, Captain Randall began to take off from the runway, followed by Captain Markov.
Satellite Serpent, Alnus Town, Alnuska Province, ITFA-controlled territory of Augustus Empire, Falmart Region, Special Region
Inside the newly built Tavern called the Satellite Serpent; Delilah alongside Nerizana; Neinefru, the captured female Leonoid Cobalt Pincers bandit; Myriil, the captured moon elf mercenary; and Ourdell, the captured human male archer from The Jade Serpents guild from Adventurer Guilds; are making busy of themselves inside the kitchen as they are tasked to make some meals and beverages for the customer.
Not like Delilah and Nerizana who voluntarily work there; Neinefru, Myriil and Ourdell work in Satellite Serpent as a part of 'community service' for their collaboration with Cobalt Pincers bandit by the new Alnus Town Military Police Chief, Captain (Kапита́н/Kapitán) Zelimkhan Umarovich Aydamirov from Military Police of Russian Federation.
While cooking the meals and making the beverages for the customers, Delilah heard the loud sounds from British and German soldiers as they watched a UEFA (Union of European Football Association) Champions League match between Manchester United F.C. and FC Bayern Munich. (Coincidentally, the British soldiers in that tavern are all Manchester United fans and the German soldiers in that tavern are all Bayern Munich fans).
"These Other-Worlders...can they just shut up for a little bit? They have been screaming for about fifty minutes!" Ourdell cursed while grabbing some Corona, Heineken, and Budweiser bottle beers from the cupboard.
"GLORY, GLORY, MAN UNITED! GLORY, GLORY, MAN UNITED! GLORY, GLORY, MAN UNITED! AND THE REDS GO MARCHING ON, ON, ON!" shouted all the British soldiers who were watching the match inside the tavern.
Around the Satellite Serpent, some buildings such as inns, shops, etc. are still under construction since it has been seven days after they took the refugees from Coda, Coldton, and Copperkeep villages. So far the only buildings in this town that have been completed are the tavern and Satellite Serpent Inn, the inn that was specially built for the employees of Satellite Serpent and PX store.
Outside of the tavern, the military police personnel who become the monitor for Myriil and Ourdell, Sergeant Joe Carranza from the Military Police Corps of the United States Army, is playing Texas hold 'em poker alongside Corporal Peter Turnbull from the Royal Military Police of the British Army, Sergeant Dmitry Kerzhakov from the Military Police of the Russian Federation, and Kolvar[1].
After Captain Aydamirov learns from Hodor that Kolvar was once one of the Anemelle Elf tribe soldiers, he asks him to persuade Kolvar to join the Alnus Town Military Police. Surprisingly, Kolvar agrees to do it.
"Hey, you're not watching the football match with your fellow British soldiers?" Kerzhakov asked.
"Nah, I would rather play poker right now. Also, I am more of a Tottenham Hotspur fan." Turnbull replied with his right hand holding the cards and his left hand holding the L85A1 rifle, "Huh, shit, I guess I gotta fold this one." he dropped his card angrily on the table.
"Ahhh, I think I'm going to raise." Kolvar said cockily. He increases the bet from $200 to $500.
"Damn it!" Kerzhakov cursed, but he still chose to hold his deck.
"Hallott már arról, hogy egységünk Mag Boraiban fog állomásozni? (Have you heard that our unit will be stationed in Mag Borai?)" said the Hungarian soldier to his fellow countrymen colleague, Sergeant (Őrmester) János Németh.
"Igen, egy város tengeri kikötővel. (Yes, a city with a seaport)." the other Hungarian soldier replied while drinking a Pálinka[2] from his canteen, Sergeant (Őrmester) Mihály Lang.
"Man, I have been in Japan and this other world for about four days, but I am already missing Bulawayo." said a Rhodesian soldier, Staff Sergeant Jack King, while he hung out with his fellow countrymen and Australian soldiers.
"Oh, come on, bru. Did you not see that this world is lekker?" replied another Rhodesian soldier, Staff Sergeant Robin Nicholson, "Hey! I need more boerewors[3] in here!" shouted the Rhodesian soldier.
"Got it!" Nerizana replied. Thanks to one of her elven quick-learner ability. She could memorize all the foods and drinks from the menu directly and not miss a single ingredient.
At one of the tavern customer tables, Thekas sit alongside Dyffros and Shanaera, the sibling elves that the 13th Platoon rescued, are playing what the Other-Worlders called "Leh-go". Thekas read the manual instructions of Lord of the Rings: Rivendell 10316 while Dyffros and Shanaera built the LEGO set. They have to try to complete the miniature set for about one hour.
In an open field in front of the Satellite Serpent tavern, the children from the village refugees were playing with the sparklers[4] given by the American soldiers. Not only the sparklers, but some of those children were also playing with neon light sticks.
While playing with those kinds of light toys, the children hear a loud sound that comes out of the Alnus Airbase, which is not far from the Alnus Town itself. Then, when they look at the sky, they see three 'comets' flying above Alnus Hill.
"Uh...excuse me, Mister Perez? What is that?" said one of the children, pointing at the 'comet'.
Those 'comets' in the sky are the afterburner engine effect of Randall's F-16 and Markov's Su-27.
"Oh, it is our 'metal wyvern'." First Lieutenant Perez replied.
"Metal wyvern? Does that mean your wyverns are born with metals in their body?" asked one of the children.
"No, no, no, no, no." First Lieutenant Perez replied, "How about if I give you all another video to understand the meaning of our 'metal wyverns'?"
"Sure thing, Mr. Perez!"
Seeing the enthusiasm of the children made First Lieutenant Perez smile. So far, he has shown some educational videos to the children such as about the production of Hershey Chocolate production[5], the production of Microchip[6], and the invention of Video[7]. Not only that kind of videos; he also showed some entertainment videos like the Teletubbies serial and Ken Block's Gymkhana. But of course, before he could play those videos to the children, he needed to make a Saderian subtitle so that they would know the context of the video.
Since the television inside the tavern is used by the British and German soldiers, First Lieutenant Perez voluntarily grabs a screen and video projector device so that he can show the video from his laptop to the children.
Interrogation Room, MOB Alnus Hill
0100 hours
Despite it being midnight, the ITFA commanders requested the staff from military prisons to acquire the information from Viscountess Sariota, Queen Richenza, and King Hernais.
The last time that ITFA got information from these three prisoners was about the nine royal families of the Arpilae Kingdom that rule over the kingdom and the discovery of another continent than Falmart.[8]
That day, after interrogating Viscountess Sariota, Lieutenant General Washington tried to hide his intention for saying to the President of the United States that Earth countries should have liberated all of the countries in this continent from the Empire's influence before moving to the next continent. He does not want to tell it earlier as he needs to plan it carefully with his fellow generals. So far the only plan he proposed to the Earth leaders is Operation Good Fortune, where ITFA will recruit locals as part of their army. But of course, it is not an easy execution as they doubt that the locals will still have blind loyalty to the Empire; not to mention, the non-human races. Because of that, he hopes that day by day, the defection of Imperial soldiers to their side will increase.
The interrogation this night will be led by Warden Annette Montes. Captain Cody Domínguez and Captain Yefrem Barsukov will accompany her.
The first person who will be interrogated tonight will be King Hernais, the ruler of Theobrand Kingdom.
According to the information ITFA acquired from Rholia, Theobrand Kingdom is located on the southwest side of the country, the same side of her hometown. This could be beneficial if ITFA can acquire more information about the southwest side and keep that area under their control.
Just like during Lieutenant General Washington interrogated Viscountess Sariota. The interrogation room will be guarded by two soldiers in case the interrogated person rebelled and tried to attack the interrogator.
As Captain Domínguez brings King Hernais and makes him sit on the chair, Domínguez will stay inside the room alongside Montes and Barsukov.
When King Hernais entered the room, he felt that this was the first time he was interrogated in such a clean room as the room itself was not made of rock or wood materials. Not to mention, this is his first interrogation.
So far, he is glad that during his imprisonment, he did not get tortured for what he did. Instead, he got a meal three times a day and a pretty comfortable bed. But what he did not enjoy during his confinement was when he needed to urinate or defecate. The reason is that the toilet was near his bed and not in a separate room.
While he was in prison, King Hernais was given several books by prison officials so that he would not feel bored or lose his mind; mainly the books that were given to him were about history, military, politics, economy, and great figures on Earth.
It's been about 2-3 weeks that King Hernais has been under the captivity of ITFA and he has grown fond of the Earth's history and everything about it. But, behind all of it, he also realizes how powerful and terrifying Earth is. Because of this, he decided to ally with the ITFA before it was too late.
As King Hernais' eyes meet Warden Montes's eyes, he is ready to tell everything that she asks. At this point, he did not care whether she was a woman.
Warden Montes begins to show King Hernais the map that she retrieved from the high command of ITFA. The map shows the territory of the southwest side of Augustus Empire territory.
"Why did you do it?" Warden Montes asked.
From Warden Montes' tone, King Hernais knows what she means.
"I...I was forced. I do not have any other choice." King Hernais replied, "If my kingdom did not participate in that battle, the Empire would send their military to slaughter my people and my family."
"Geez...just what I expected from a ruler from a vassal state..." Warden Montes said to herself.
Then, Warden Montes places her head on both of her hands.
"I am very grateful that you gave me your honest answer. I have another question again for you." Warden Montes said while she put her hand on the table, "Did you receive any slaves from the Empire...about 6-7 months ago?"
When King Hernais heard that question, it hit his heart and mind like thunderstorms. He knows that he keeps about thirty slaves from the other side of the gate.
"W-well...yes." King Hernais said in a defeated tone.
Luckily, King Hernais has an alibi to defend his actions as he never treated his slaves cruelly. He was one of the leaders of the vassal states who still treated their slaves well.
"How many slaves do you keep from the Empire?" Warden Montes asked, trying to gain her composure as she did not want emotions to run through her mind.
"About thirty people...I don't know, I didn't count them all..." King Hernais replied.
Hearing King Hernais's words, Warden Montes can only sigh. Then she gives another question.
"Do you have any words of defense for your action?" Warden Montes asked again.
"I have. But first, let me tell you honestly, I never treat my slaves cruelly like the Empire. If you ask why, it is because slaves were very important to the economy and our necessities. Do you know how many cases of slaves rebelling against their masters because their masters treated them like animals or just objects?" King Hernais gave Warden Montes his alibi and explained it.
King Hernais lifts his head and looks at Warden Montes.
"Me and my people may be "barbaric" and "uncivilized". But at least I know how to treat my people well, even outsiders or slaves. This is the difference between my kingdom and the Empire."
Despite King Hernais having told the truth, Warden Montes only half-trusting him as she knows that the enemy commander is full of tricks when they are interrogated. The only reason why he is honest during this interrogation is because he knows that if he messes with the ITFA once again, it will be them who will destroy his kingdom just in a few minutes. He can't imagine what would happen if his kingdom were destroyed by carpet bombardment or nuclear bombing.
"Please listen to me. I know you do not want to hear any words from my mouth after I confess all of it. But please, listen to me for now." King Hernais pleads, "If you want me to return all of your slaves. I have two conditions for you, but I'll assure you that my requests will be beneficial for your side."
Even though Warden Montes feels the anger boiling in her mind, once again she tries to regain her composure as she is also curious about what King Hernais wants to make him release all the Earth slaves.
"Well. What are your requests?" Warden Montes asked while she reached for her Glock 22 on her right thigh holster.
"One, I want to make a defense pact between my country and your military organization." King Hernais said. This shocked Warden Montes, Captain Domínguez, and Captain Barsukov, "Some of your guards give me some information about your military, and I admit that neither my kingdom nor the Empire will survive your wrath."
After hearing what King Hernais said, Warden Montes moved her right hand away from the holster.
"Two, I want your people to take me back to my kingdom. I don't care how long it takes or what kind of proposal I should sign, just send your people to immediately be on my soil with me in it."
Even though Warden Montes now almost fully trusts King Hernais, she will throw her last question to prove his loyalty to the ITFA.
"Hm. Why do I even accept an offer from a person who likely will betray our alliance if we become weaker?"
"What makes you think I will betray you once you become weak?" King Hernais said, "You think your guards only gave me the information of your military power when I was lying in your prison cell? They also give me information about how your politics work and how your policy works on peace. Let's say that I am interested in the thoughts of your people about caring for other people no matter what social classes they are and how to maintain a strong cooperative relationship between two countries."
Warden Montes closed her eyes after hearing King Hernais answer as she pondered every possibility if the ITFA allowed King Hernais as another ITFA ally alongside Duke Kayeth, King Randoul, and King Niketas. But then, she opened her eyes again as she realized that all choices were in the hands of ITFA's high command.
"I am pleased with your answer. I will report this later to the ITFA high command. They would be interested in talking about security guarantees. Now, would you kindly point out the location of your kingdom?" Warden Montes asked, her emotion now changed from angry to happy, but she still showed a calm expression.
King Hernais looks at the high-resolution printed map that Warden Montes gave. At first, he understood how the Other-Worlder could draw a map with such perfect detail and precision. Since he knows the conditional geography of his kingdom area very well, he points out the location of his kingdom.
"That is where your kingdom is located? Near this island?" Warden Montes said as she connected the area of the Kingdom of Theobrand to the Millennium Falcon-shaped island which is located at the eastern of the kingdom at the southern of League Principality.
"Yes." King Hernais said.
"Mind telling me what other states that bordering your kingdom?" Warden Montes asked again.
"Well. The north side of my kingdom was bordered by the Kingdom of Creobrid, the east side by the Kingdom of Braxseon, and the southwest side by the Kingdom of Uvolilux. A small bit of information for your side, that island is under the control of the Kingdom of Tasikputra." King Hernais said as he added new information, "They are one of the kingdoms that aren't under the control of the Empire."
"Speaking about that. Can you tell me the vassal states that have blind loyalty to the Empire?" Warden Montes asked.
"There is. It is the Kingdom of Braxseon and the Kingdom of Edrelon. They are the kingdoms that made my kingdom and my other allies become the vassal states of the Empire." King Hernais said.
Warden Montes nodded when she heard that. As she feels that she has gained enough information from King Hernais, she decides to end the interrogation session.
"I think that's all that we want to hear. Thank you for your cooperation, King Hernais." Warden Montes said.
Temple of Hardy, Bellnahgo, Aguacchia Province, Augustus Empire, Falmart, Special Region.

Bellnahgo has become one of the sacred Empire cities as it has become the city where Hardy, Goddess of Underworld, has resided since the beginning of time.
Giselle, a Draconian who becomes one of Hardy's apostles, walks alongside another Hardy apostle, Shyryna, who is a succubus. They have become Hardy's messengers for four hundred and sixty-six years, meaning they are older than Rory.
Before returning to the temple, Giselle and Shyryna are tasked by Hardy to watch the movement of Other-Worlders in Alnuska Province after she heard about the defeat of Augustus Empire, Arpilae Kingdom, Durosbiaca Kingdom, and the vassal states of Empire by the Other-Worlder forces just in six months. Without questioning the intention of their Goddess. they go straight away to Alnuska to oversee the ITFA activities.
Once Giselle and Shyryna arrive there, they are shocked when they see Rory Mercury, one of Emroy's apostles, aiding the ITFA against the Empire. They did not expect an apostle will be on the Other-Worlder's side.
When Giselle and Shyryna see what ITFA does to the people in this world. They could not believe that ITFA would treat the villagers kindly, not to mention, the prisoners of war. This makes both of them not believe that these were the forces that defeated the Empire and its allies. Did their Goddess just make a fool of them? No, they did not investigate it enough.
Well, at first, Giselle and Shyryna thought like that. But it all changed their mindset when they oversaw the Siege of Italica.
Giselle and Shyryna saw what their helicopters could do to the bandits. Those things sweep all of them like insects. Even Shyryna admits that the impact of explosions from Other-Worlder rockets, such as the Hydra 70 and S-13 were more deadly than the explosion spells that almost all mages in this world learn. If this keeps happening, then it would not take a long time for Other-Worlders to occupy all Augustus Empire territories.
Inside the Hardy's domain, located under the Hardy's temple, Giselle and Shyryna kneel while holding their weapons before the guard opens the door. Then, as the door opens, a lady with a long bluish-white and white robe approaches the two apostles.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't my two favorite apostles..." Hardy said, "Say, can you two retell me about your experience when overseeing the Other-Worlders?"
"Yes, my Goddess." Giselle replied, "From what I saw, the Other-Worlders seem to be very kind to the people in this world. Surprisingly, they are not only kind to humans; but also demihumans, Elves, Dwarves, and other Dark Races such as Orcs and Tieflings, even though the Other-Worlders are all humans."
"Are you sure that the people who come out from the other side of the gate do not have other races than humans just like in this world?" Hardy asked.
"I am sure, my Goddess. This can be proven by their shockness when they see another variant of races that were not human." Giselle replied.
"Interesting. Yet they are all still human..." Hardy reacted, "Anything else?"
"I have another piece of news, my Goddess." Shyryna said, "The apostle who served Emroy, the one that Goddess loves so much, Rory, is also providing a service to the Other-Worlders."
Hardy was shocked when heard about that news, she did not expect Rory to help the Other-Worlders voluntarily. But this also means that she has opened the gate to the correct world as she saw that her world is unstable, not to mention, that she loves and trusts Rory so much, and she believes that what Rory did was right as she has been convinced by what Rory doings, since whenever she does, it has a good result for the justice system in this world.
"Oh Rory, my beloved, I am happy that you are guiding those people to not become similar like Empire. But that means...I know where you are too. Do not worry Rory, one day you will come for me." Hardy said as she began to project Rory's appearance using her magic (like a hologram).
Then, a new idea crossed Hardy's mind. She created another new Gate that will connect the Special Region and Earth again. This time, she put it in the offshore, in the sea territory of League Principality.
Looks like the time has come for the Navy of Earth nations to show up...
Earl Reykdavin's Castle, Zartosth, Alnuska Province, Falmart, Special Region
0030 hours
Major Spearman follows Earl Reykdavin's son's direction to the basement where Earl Reykdavin keeps all of his slaves. After a 2-minute trip, they finally reach the door that leads to the basement prison.
"Are you sure this is the place where your father kept the slaves?" Major Spearman asked.
"Trust me, Sir American. I know every inch of my house. Do not underestimate me because I am just a twelve-year-old." Earl Rekydavin's son replied.
After hearing Earl Rekydavin's son's validation, Major Spearman nodded at his men.
"I'm setting the charges. The timer is 10 seconds!" Specialist Scott said.
"Get to the safety, kid. We will destroy this door." Corporal Acosta said to Earl Reykdavin's son.
Earl Reykdavin's son nods at Corporal Acosta and follows them to the safe place before the breach explodes.
BOOM!
As the breach exploded, Major Spearman's squad began to enter the basement prison room. From his eyes, he could see that there were about eight prison cells inside that room.
"Search these cells! We might find some of our enslaved people in here!" Major Spearman said to his men as he began to check the first cell that was on his right side.
When Major Spearman looks at the cell that he checks, he sees four slaves that are chained on the wall. It seems there are about two Cat-Peoples/Nekos and two humans inside this cell.
"We're lucky that we brought the metal buzzsaw." Major Spearman said as he took out the metal buzzsaw that attached to his waist and began to cut the iron bars. According to his thoughts, it would take about fifteen minutes to cut through all the iron bars that were used as the prison cell door.
So, to speed up their work, Major Spearman asked Specialist Scott to help him cut the iron bars.
"Yes, Major." Specialist Scott said as he assisted his commander by cutting the other side of the prison cell with the metal buzzsaw.
"Hey, kid." Major Spearman said to Earl Reykdavin's son while cutting the metal, "By any chance you have the key to unlock these prison cells along with the ball and chains for the prisoners?"
"Unfortunately no, Sir American." Earl Rekydavin's son replied while he felt embarrassed as he did not do enough for these American soldiers.
"No problem." Major Spearman said while he continued to cut the iron bars. Honestly, he felt disappointed with the kid's answer.
Major Spearman and Specialist Scott successfully cut the iron door of one of the eight prison cells. Then, they approach the slaves and begin to cut off the chain that connects to the ceiling with the buzzsaw again.
Sounds unpractical and reckless, but they do not have time to wait as somehow Major Spearman's squad did not bring a lockpick which is very important to unlock the chains. Luckily, the distance between those slaves is pretty far and it is safe enough for them to cut it with buzzsaw.
About one hour and a half hour later, one by one, the slaves are finally freed by Major Spearman's unit. Unfortunately, since the wrist lock is still attached to them, Major Spearman decides to unlock the wrist cuff when they arrive at the MOB Alnus Hill. Then, they begin to be escorted by the soldiers to the landing zone where the helicopters will pick them up.
Since Earl Rekydavin's castle interior is straightforward, it would not be a huge problem to go to the landing zone on the rooftop. But, since this is a four-stories castle (counting from the ground floor), their problem is that it would exhaust them a little bit.
The slaves that were freed by the American soldiers inside Earl Rekydavin's castle numbered thirty people. Twenty-three of them were humans and the other five were Cat-People/Nekos, it was a huge achievement for them after they were deployed in this world for six months, they finally found one of the places that kept many Earth people whom the Empire captured. The rescued slave from fantasy races is just a bonus for good ITFA PR[9] to the non-human races in this world.
Unable to risk any more casualties, Major Spearman ordered his subordinates to escort five slaves under the protection of seven soldiers. However, since he also didn't want everyone to be in one line, he ordered them to go to the castle roof with a ten-minute gap per group.
"1st Squad, you guys go first!" Major Spearman ordered.
Right after hearing Major Spearman's order, seven American soldiers escort 5 out of 28 slaves from the basement prison to the rooftop of the castle. It is not easy since half of the slaves are in a weak condition. Even one of the slaves must be carried by two people because they are in a severe condition.
Just in about ten minutes, they manage to reach the castle's rooftop easily since all the castle guards on each floor have been eliminated by them, leaving no prisoners.
One of the soldiers in the 1st Squad begins to light up the green smoke flare as a signal for the helicopter pilots for the LZ location.
A few seconds later, after the green smoke flare had been lit up, a UH-60 landed on the rooftop. Thankfully, the castle's rooftop was big enough to land a helicopter, so as the Black Hawk landed, the soldiers began to load the captured slaves into the helicopter carefully.
"All set!" said one of the soldiers from 1st Squad. Giving a signal to the pilot that they have clearance to leave and escort the captured slaves to the MOB Alnus Hill.
Without any hesitation, the pilot flew the Black Hawk in the direction of the MOB Alnus Hill, leaving Zartosth City.
South Side of Zartosth City, Alnuska Province, Falmart Region, Special Region
0045 hours
The Third Recon Platoon keeps moving forward in the North direction where the Blakenstedt Village is located. To speed up their movement, they decide to get out of the city first and move around the city from south to north. Why did they do that? Because there are so many narrow roads inside the city, they do not want to take the risk of doing collateral damage either to the civilians or the buildings.
Since the city itself almost has the same area size as Houston, they are already taking about 1 mile (about 1.6 km) of Zartosth City. It would take about 30-40 minutes to reach the Blakenstedt Village since the distance between the Third Recon Platoon position and the village itself is about 37.9 miles.
Inside the GAZ Tigr, Rory complains, "Ughh! Why did you order me to return to the vehicle? Can't you see that there is a huge battlefield in front of us and now we just leave it like nothing?"
"Protocols, Rory. Also, we plan to besiege this city just like the bandits did to Italica." Tikhomirov replied.
Ten minutes later, they could hear the sound of helicopter rotors from behind. From the NVG that Staff Sergeant Kuznetsov wore, he shouted, "The reinforcements have arrived!" he said as he pointed at the Russian Air Force's Hinds and the United States Army's Black Hawks reinforcements.
Hearing from the radio communications, Konrad quickly orders Second Lieutenant Baker to light up green smoke to signal friendly force movement.
It looks like Captain Rundall and Captain Markov get the signal as they do not feel suspicious again about the strange smoke movement in the city's south side, which they thought was the movement of enemy cavalries.
At the same time, Rundall's F-16 and Markov's Su-27 launched the Joint Direct Attack Munition and KAB-1500S-E glider bombs. Both of those bombs successfully hit the barracks and armory that were owned by the Zartosth City Guards and...Imperial Army.
Of course in this attack, collateral damage will happen as the bombs that destroyed the barracks and armory buildings caused debris from these buildings to fly throughout the city. Fortunately, the explosion impact and the area where the flying debris will land is far away from the ITFA troops.
A few minutes later, two Hinds and two Black Hawks fly past the Third Recon Platoon convoy and land on the north side of the city, beginning to unload the American and Russian troops.
Tikhomirov speaks to Rory, "Rory, I know you want to help our troops, but we must stay still to the objective, okay?" he said, looking back at Ror. His right hand pointing his index fingers above while his left hand is driving the armoured car.
"I know, boss." Rory rolled her eyes but still smiled. Her body begins to tremble not because of fear, but because she can't wait to enter the battlefield again.
When the time reached 0100 military hours, the First Recon Platoon and the Third Recon Platoon finally reached the Blakenstedt Village.
But, sincerely, because the battle of Zartosth is near the village itself, the villagers quickly hide in their houses when the ITFA platoons arrive at their settlement. Thinking that they will become the next target.
Tikhomirov realizes that this is going to be hard, but it is worth a try to convince the villagers that they are not a threat. With full of confidence, Tikhomirov exits the vehicle and walks slowly to one of the villager's huts.
By using his backhands, Tikhomirov slowly knocks the door. He put his assault rifle on his back so the villagers would not see him as a threat. A few seconds later, the door that Tikhomirov knocked is open and reveals a small family; a father, a mother, and two children; one is a boy and one is a girl.
In the father's eyes, he could see a strange soldier with a scary uniform. It's like the dark green of the uniform itself is blending into the darkness of the night.
With a calm voice, Tikhomirov lifted his hands and tried to calm them down and began to speak in Saderian, "Do not worry, we are in here not to kill you."
After Tikhomirov said that, the father slowly lowered his knife, but very slowly, he was still not sure if Tikhomirov would spare him and his family or not. Without making another step, Tikhomirov keeps calming them down, "Listen, you do not need to be afraid of us. We are in here to protect you, right now, there is a huge battlefield near your village, and I want you and your family to go somewhere safe..."
Somehow, Tikhomirov's words were convincing enough for them that the father now put the knife on the table and started grabbing his wife and children and dragging them along, but slowly, following Tikhomirov's directions.
Inside the chief village's house, where the chief village himself and some of the villagers are hiding from Tikhomirov's squad presence, the chief village peeking behind the window to see the situation outside.
From the chief village's eyes, he could see that one of the families of this village is confronted by ITFA soldiers, but what makes him shocked and feel a little bit relieved is that those ITFA soldiers did not kill the family. Without thinking twice, he volunteered to get out of his house and approach those soldiers.
As the chief village steps out of his house, Tikhomirov quickly looks at him and approaches him too. The chief village neither ran away nor attacked the ITFA soldiers. Instead, he begins to speak, "Who are you people?"
Realizing that these people must be confused about their presence and their intention here, Tikhomirov starts to explain who they are despite the situation, "Look, sir. Let me make it quick for you, we are from the other side of the gate. Have you ever heard of it from the Imperial soldiers? About the strange gate in Alnus Hill?"
The chief village calmly replied, "Yes, I have heard about it, so you are the invader?"
"Whatever you said, chief." Tikhomirov rolled his eyes, "Look, I do not want to be harsh with you, but I want you and your villagers to evacuate to a safe place. This place is a danger zone, there could be explosions around here, and we don't want any casualties of innocent people like you."
"Strange, never in my life have I seen an invader or attacker of the Empire want to rescue people like me. From the stories I heard from village to village, the Empire's enemies prefer to kill and pillage us as an act of revenge..." then, the chief village continued, "Well then, I trust you all, strangers."
Then, the chief village begins to shout to his fellow villagers that they need to get out and convince them that these soldiers aren't a threat to them.
While gathering the villagers, Tikhomirov received a report from the drone unit that their UAV managed to capture the movement of Imperial forces from the north side, to be exact, from Aguacchia Province. It seems that some of the Imperial forces in this city managed to escape from the attack and alert the Imperial forces stationed in Aguacchia Province to help them.
"What?! How much time do they need until they arrive in this village?" Tikhomirov asked one of the drone unit operators.
"~~The ETA of the enemy convoy is about thirty minutes, sir!~~" said one of the drone unit operators while controlling the Boeing Insitu ScanEagle drone.
Tikhomirov changed his radio frequency to the artillery unit that was tasked to help both the regular forces and special forces, "Gavan Two-Two! Zulu One-Six! This is Zoloto One! I request an artillery strike at the north of Blakenstedt village!" he said while adjusting the coordinate with the laser rangefinder and the compass on his AK-12 scope.
"~~Roger that, Zoloto One.~~" Gavan Two-Two and Zulu One-Six said at the same time. Gavan Two-Two is the BM-30 Smerch while Zulu One-Six is the HIMARS.
Between the Senivce Fortress and the Zartosth City, the BM-30 Smerch and the HIMARS begin to adjust their rain launcher into a perfect angle so that the missile would land perfectly at the enemy position.
Just like any good comic or movie scene, both the BM-30 Smerch and HIMARS prepare to attack the enemy in the dark of night with a starless sky, such that even though both tools are heavy weapons, they can do it stealthily and deadly. The Imperial soldiers may think that this weapon is made by the Voltutria dark mages to fight against the Empire or made by the Emroy itself that hasn't been gifted to the Empire to strengthen their combat power.
"~~Gavan Two-Two, this is Zulu One-Six, I got the visual of the tangos, copy.~~" said the HIMARS operator.
"~~Zulu One-Six, this is Gavan Two-Two, I also got the visual of the enemies, copy.~~" replied the BM-30 Smerch operator as he now put the telephone and began to type the command for firing the missiles in the laptop before pushing the red button.
After getting the exact position to fire the missiles, both BM-30 Smerch and HIMARS operators pushed the red button at the same time, and thus, two M31A2 rockets and two 9M542 PGM missiles began to fly to the coordinates that had been given by Tikhomirov.
Back to the village, Tikhomirov orders the chief village to escort the villagers to the south side so that they would be safe from the artillery range. Even though the coordinates that Tikhomirov gave to the MLRS operators are pretty far from the village, he does not want to take the risk of losing civilian lives.

Inside the quarterdeck of JS Shiranui (DD-120), an Asahi-class of Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, Captain (1等海佐/Ittō kaisa) Eikichi Rakuyama along with his officers are looking to the calm sea in front of them.
"Captain." Warrant Officer (准陸尉/Jun rikui) Masashi Nishida asked.
"Yes?" Captain Rakuyama replied.
"Do you think we will going to fight against...well...some medieval wooden ships from the other side of that?" Warrant Officer Nishida said while pointing at the 'Portal Gate' located in the middle of the sea. The diameter of the sea Portal Gate is a combination of twice Knock Nevis's width and 1.5 Icon of the Seas's height.
"Could be, but, I can sense that there is another huge danger from the other side of the gate than just a fleet of Imperial Navy. Let's not be nervous, after all, we are all ready for this operation..." Captain Rakuyama said.

"W-we give up!" said one of the Zartosth City Guards as he dropped his sword in front of the American soldiers along with his fellow five city guards. It seems that despite that five of them are skilled soldiers, they still have common sense to stay alive and know that this is a battle that they can't win.
Now, in every corner of the city, all of the Zartosth City Guards begin to lower their weapon. Their morale becomes lower and lower after seeing their comrades die like it's nothing along with the Black Hawk pilots who announce via a loudspeaker that the Imperial reinforcement has been eradicated and no one can help them now.
"~~Fresco Sierra, this is Whiskey Nine-Four-Four, we have full control of the city.~~" Whiskey Nine-Four-Four said, he is one of the Black Hawk pilots.
"It's showtime, boys." Spearman said, "Did any one of you bring it?"
"Of course, Major." Specialist Acosta said while holding the United States flag.
"Plant it."
