Jac is collecting her belongings, before she ends her shift when Mo, comes in to do the same thing. "So, is there anything in these rumours, I've been hearing around the break room?" Mo asks as she strides through the room to collect her belongings.
"What sort of rumours would that be?" Jac asks as she changes her shoes and packs some stuff into her bag. She knows what the rumours are, but she's not announcing anything to Mo. The woman knows how to spread gossip and Jac would rather not be in that news cycle.
"News is that you've been seen around town with a very fancy-looking guy." Mo comments as she leans against the lockers and watches Jac for a couple of moments. "Fancy looking guy?" Jac questions with a smirk as she gets to her feet.
"So is that a yes?" Mo asks, excited and Jac raises a brow at her. "I think the staff need more work to do if you have this much time to gossip." She replies slowly and Mo hold up her hands in surrender. "Okay, I won't ask." She replies as Jac heads for the door. "I will say this though." She says and Jac stops and turns back to the other women.
"Johnny really likes you. So if there's something going on with someone, I'd appreciate it if you let people know. I'd hate to see him pine after you, if he's got no chance. He's my best friend and I don't want to see him hurt." Mo explains and Jac doesn't say anything as she turns back to the door. She opens it up but turns back to look at Mo once again.
"You're a good friend." Jac says and Mo smiles at the compliment. "Thanks. Have a nice night." Mo comments and Jac smirks "Oh, I plan on it." She says and exits swiftly. Leaving Mo to wonder about the other woman.
When Mo heads downstairs a little while later, she's surprised to find Jac still there. When Mo notices Jac chatting with a group of the senior staff she's not that surprised. Jac's been at the hospital a long time and the amount of people who have been there just as long has dwindled. She's surprised to find a group of them chatting in the lobby.
Everything begins to make sense when Mo gets closer and notices an arm wrapped around Jac's waist. She doesn't recognise the man but the senior staff definitely seem to, so maybe this is an old staff member. Jac notices her and smirks and Mo understands everything when a toddler emerges from between the adults and Jac lifts him easily into her arms as he settles into her shoulder. Mo smiles at her and nods, heading out. Jac won't go announcing her business, but Mo has proof so she can carefully explain things.
What Jac doesn't know is that Mo will pursue this and will want all the information she can get and Jac doesn't know that she will willingly give up the information. Glad to have a confidante.
