Where they would meet the cast of The Owl House... Note: It's rated M, there will be adult language, that is all for that. There is gore but that won't happen until way later into the story.

10. Chapter 9: Lost In Language

Hey guys... I know it's been five months since updated the story. There is a good reason for that, let me just say that nothing bad didn't happen to me. It was just my Spring semester, and during the semester, I was bombarded with school work and a busy schedule. So, I've mostly been busy throughout these months. Now, I've started Summer school. However, I have worked on the chapters and made edits when I had free time. Even though I was gone, people continued their way to finding this FanFiction and reading it. Honestly, I'm quite surprised, I thought this story wasn't gonna get that much attention but I'm getting followers and favorites for The GamePlus House.

I did see the reviews from the previous chapters, but all I can say is that I already decided on the ideas and crossovers that would be implemented into the story. But I do appreciate the ideas though. So, the next chapters are gonna interesting and surprising. So, enough about me. Here is Chapter 9, Lost In Language.

Chapter 9: Lost In Language

While the heroes learned about the multiverse and Super Smash Brothers having an involvement. Tucker, Caboose, Grif, and Simmons were resting while the conversation is being discussed. However, Tucker was having a dream. A dream unlike he has ever had before. A similar dream that Spider-Man, Delsin, and Caboose had once before. Tucker opens his eyes and finds himself in a black empty void.

"What the?!" Tucker exclaimed. Tucker was stunned by the sudden environment. The floor was pitch black, however, Tucker notice the spot he was standing on, it was glowing light green. Tucker walks a few steps ahead, the floor glows as he takes each step. The details of the glow were fascinating, it was like a water ripple as if Tucker was walking on water.

"Finally. I was waiting for a chance to get to talk to one of you boys," said a Mysterious voice. Tucker turned around to see a large green man. He has black hair and silver eyes with an X mark on both eyes. It seems he was wearing clothing, a well-designed green tuxedo, black gloves, and black leather laced shoes.

"What is going on? What the hell are you?" asked Tucker worryingly.

"Oh, right. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Mr. X." said Mr. X.

"Mr. X? That's an odd name? What does the X stand for?" asked Tucker.

"Oh, that. I won't say right now. It's a personal secret but you'll get the chance know to about it. But anyway, I wanted to talk with Tucker. For important matters." said Mr. X.

"Um… Okay, first time out. I need a moment to process this." said Tucker.

"Oh, my apologies. I understand this is all a bit sudden," said Mr. X.

"A bit sudden?! Hell, I'm not even sure I'm having a dream right now." Tucker exclaimed.

"You are dreaming right now but all of this is real. I'm talking to you through a connection. However, Tucker, I don't have enough time to last the communication and we need to talk about something very important right now." said Mr. X cautiously.

"I…." Tucker sighs exhaustingly. It seems Mr. X can't wait right now. Tucker collects his mind and calms himself. "Okay. First, you answer my questions. Can we do that?" asked Tucker.

"Of course. I believe that's fair since this is our first time talking to each other. Go on with the questions." answered Mr. X.

"Okay… So, where am I?" asked Tucker.

"Oh, don't be alarmed about your actual location. Just like I said before, you're dreaming at the moment. You're still at the exterior of the Owl House, sleeping inside your tent with Caboose," answered Mr. X.

"Wait, I'm sleeping?" said Tucker beyond confused.

"Yes. Were you not listening? At this moment, I'm speaking with you inside your mind. A space between dream and reality." said Mr. X.

"Wha… Okay, time out. A lot is happening. I"m so confused…" said Tucker underwhelmingly.

"I see. I'm sorry about that. How about this? I'm familiar with your story Lavernius Tucker." said Mr. X. Tucker was surprised about the sudden name drop coming from Mr. X.

"H-How do you know my name?" asked Tucker.

"I know everything about you and the stories with your friends. Your story began at Blood Gulch," answered Mr. X. Tucker couldn't believe what he was being told. Mr. X knows his life and as well his friends. Tucker remembered Caboose telling him about his dream talking to a large green man and it seems Caboose was right about this.

"So everything about Caboose said was real?! So, he was talking about you!" Tucker exclaimed.

"There you go! Haha! Yes, I have noticed Caboose talking about awareness of my existence. But it seems it wasn't enough to convince you and your friends that I exist." said Mr. X.

"Yeah, I know, Caboose was trying to tell me. But I didn't wanna believe it because it sounds stupid," said Tucker.

"You know, you have a point it does a sound a little silly," said Mr. X. "But never mind that. I believe you have one question that is more important, correct?"

"Oh….Um…. Wait, it's about Caboose… You said you talked to him, is that right?" asked Tucker.

"Yes. I talk to Caboose in the first days within the Boiling Isles. At first, he did understand what I was saying however it can be difficult for him to process the information I provided. However, he did mention me to Carolina and Spider-Man. So that's a start." answered Mr. X.

"Wait, you know Spider-Man too? Have you talked to him about what is going on? About everything. Because Caboose told me that you're some kind of watcher of a whole universe. Spider-Man and Delsin said a similar thing in their dreams but the person they were talking to was a woman." said Tucker.

"Yes. Everything Caboose said is true. I watch over a certain whole universe filled with other universes. To answer your other question, I am familiar with the character Spider-Man and the comics of the Marvel universe. However, I haven't talked to him because I'm not familiar with this Spider-Man." answered Mr. X.

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" asked Tucker.

"I see. Tucker, the multiverse is a large concept. A concept containing multiple stories and multiple universes. For example, one of the Spider-Man that I'm familiar with is from a universe in which suffers a catastrophic event occurred, this story was known as the "Web of Shadows" event. In this universe, Spider-Man struggled with choices when symbiotes were spreading throughout the city and deciding the fate of his city. Inherit the responsibility he holds for so long or accept the chaos within the symbiote. There are other Spider-Men based on the Marvel films whose timelines became different than the original timeline. Another Spider-Man teaming up with other Marvel heroes to form the "Ultimate Alliance." An organization of heroes strong enough to go up against the Masters of Evil led by Doctor Doom. One Spider-Man is known as the "Ultimate Spider-Man" which is a variant similar to the original Ultimate Spider-Man. However, this Spider-Man timeline became different than the original as his timeline grew into a new storyline. The list goes on," said Mr. X.

Tucker was bombarded with all this information. Different Spider-Men each have their own stories and scenarios.

"Wow… That's a lot to take. Like a lot… So, you know all these Spider-Men but not the one at the Owl House. How come?" asked Tucker.

"Hm…. I believe I cannot view other universes. I do have the ability to view countless universes and the stories they have. However, there are many exceptions. Due to those universes not connecting to my home universe of mine. Without a connection, I'm unable to view those universes," answered Mr. X.

"That sucks. That explains why you don't know this Spider-Man," said Tucker.

"It is unfortunate, no worries, we all have limits within our abilities. But to answer your last question, I'm not familiar with this other being who talked to Spider-Man and Delsin. But I believe she has a similar role as I do. But it seems she watches certain countless universes," said Mr. X. "Tucker, I must you warn. Things will get intense later on stay within the Boiling Isles, you must be prepared for anything."

Tucker felt pressured all of a sudden because he was dealing with hardships and challenges since Blood Gulch. However, he did a little rest so, it should be enough for him for now. Tucker sighs heavily.

"Okay, I'll see what I can do. Is there anything I should be aware of?" asked Tucker.

"Yes. As for you and your friends… Watch over Luz, and protect her. I don't what awaits all of you in the future. Luz is the key for the Boiling Isles and all worlds." said Mr. X.

"O-Okay… We'll do what we can for her," said Tucker.

"Good," said Mr. X. Suddenly the void is shaken for a brief. This startles Tucker.

"What was that?" asked Tucker.

"Do not worry. It seems you are about to wake up soon," answered Mr. X. calmly.

"Oh, that's it? Okay, good to know. Before I leave this dream. Are you gonna talk to the others about this?" asked Tucker.

"Yes… Eventually. Because it will take time since this is my first time communicating with other people in the outside universes. I never talk to anyone in my time in the space zone." said Mr. X.

"Damn… That's gotta be hard to deal with, all alone watching these universes," said Tucker sadly.

"It's fine, Tucker. As the years, I got used to it. To be honest, I wasn't expecting to do this in the first place since someone started to mess with the multiverse. Hmph… Talk about ignorance." said Mr. X disappointedly.

"That's right… Carolina did mention that something or someone messed with the multiverse," said Tucker. Mr. X seems more annoyed than before knowing someone disturbs the peace of the multiverse.

"Well, I know it's a someone. However, this someone doesn't want to leave any tracks about their methods of opening the paths to the multiverse. But I won't allow this fool to meddle with something that they shouldn't meddle with in the first place. You know what they say gotta fight fire with fire." said Mr. X.

"Hold on, what do you mean by that?" asked Tucker.

"The stranger who tramped with the multiverse brought an enemy from your past. An enemy from a different timeline, and the terrifying part is that I can't tell who it is. That's something you and your allies must discover on your own," said Mr. X cautiously.

"Wait, that's still-" Tucker was interrupted by the sudden rumble of the void.

"My apologies Tucker. Our time has run out. I know you have many more questions but save them for another time. One last thing, remember to be prepared for anything in the future because the path ahead will be difficult." said Mr. X. Tucker wasn't able to answer back in time. Everything went black for a moment until Tucker woke up. He checks his surrounding to see that he is still inside his tent. Tucker thinks for a moment knowing all the information he was given was too much but he can manage it. Tucker checks the timer to see what time is it. It's 11 AM. Tucker was surprised it was morning, it felt like he was up all day but he doesn't feel exhausted.

"Holy shit… That was… Something. Mr. X said it's best to tell this to the others." said Tucker as he got from his resting point and exited the tent. Tucker went by Carolina's and calls out her name to see if she is there.

"Carolina, are you in there?" asked Tucker. Tucker heard a response, and Carolina groaned drowsily. "Carolina, I need to talk to you. It's really important." Carolina groans more drowsily.

"Mhmm… Five more minutes…" Carolina continues to groan.

"Carolina. Please, wake up!" Tucker exclaimed. Carolina got annoyed at this point and got up from her resting point. Carolina sticks her head out of the tent and Tucker was startled by Carolina's appearance. Her red hair is a bit messy, and her expression is extremely grumpy.

"This better be important. What is it, Tucker?" asked Carolina grumpily.

"It is important. I had a dream last night, it's not the dirty ones. It's about the green man. The one Caboose mentioned before. Carolina's eyes open a bit after hearing that from Tucker. Carolina rubs her eyes for a brief moment and she went back to her tent just to fix herself.

"Wait, you mean the guy that Caboose mentioned in his dream?" asked Carolina.

"Yeah, his name is Mr. X," answered Tucker. "It seems he knows us very well. He said my full name as if knew me for so long."

"Wait. Wait. If he knows everything about us. Where does he get this information from?" asked Carolina.

"He said he watches universes and watches over them in case if anything we're to attack the universe," answered Tucker. "He knew every adventure we've been through. Blood Gulch, Project Freelancer, and the Chorus war. All of it."

"E-Everything?!" said Carolina in shock.

"Yes… What's weird is he doesn't know Delsin, Kat, and the others. But he does know Spider-Man. Just different versions of him." said Tucker.

"Okay… Wait, sorry, it's early. Can we talk about this after breakfast? I need something to wake me up." said Carolina.

"Oh, yeah. Sorry if I wake you up all of sudden," said Tucker.

"It's fine Tucker. This was important so, let's talk," said Carolina.

Six Days Later…

It's been nearly a week since the heroes discovered the existence of the multiverse and the Super Smash Brothers' involvement within the Boiling Isles. Not only Ren Amamiya but also known as Joker had a difficult time processing this kind of information. Knowing there is another universe like his suffered an unfortunate event due to Goro Akechi killing Ren Amamiya. Not only that, a strange being known as Mr. X watches countless certain universes. It seems he is familiar with the characters and universe of Red vs Blue. Mr. X and the unidentified blue woman have a big role in the story and will provide support to Luz. Peter Parker has entered his tent, he looks like he is gonna pass out, he always does this. He removes his mask. Peter looks completely drowsy. Doing all-nighters as Spider-Man can be extremely difficult, he knows it's tough to be a hero and live like a normal person but this can be unhealthy. So, he decided to rest for the day since his friends will take over while he is resting.

10 Minutes Earlier…

Kat and Delsin were getting ready for the day. Delsin noticed Spider-Man hasn't come back from his night patrol.

"Hey Kat, have you seen Peter?" asked Delsin.

"No, I haven't seen him since yesterday," answered Kat. "Wait, did something happen?"

"Really?" Delsin sighs disappointedly. "He did it again."

"Did what again?" asked Kat.

"He probably was patrolling the entire night. That's a thing I keep forgetting he does from time to time. He's been doing this since he became Spider-Man. I know he has more experience of heroism than us. But still, this kind of habit can be extremely unhealthy." said Delsin.
"What? Oh, right… You did mention you know Spider-Man because, in your homeworld, he's based on the comics known as the Marvel comics. Now you mention, that he has been drowsy quite recently. At first, I thought he didn't sleep well but I noticed he's been doing that for a bit." said Kat worryingly.

"We should talk to him about this. He needs a break once in a while," said Delsin. A few minutes have passed until Spider-Man showed up, he looks very tired but he is shaking it off as if it is nothing. Delsin and Kat approach to Spider-Man.

"Oh, morning guys.

"Good morning," said Kat. "Peter, we need to talk about something," said Kat.

"Sure… Is there something wrong?" asked Spider-Man.

"Hey, Peter… Are you okay?" asked Delsin.

"Yeah, just a bit tired," answered Peter.

"A bit tired? Dude, you look exhausted," said Delsin. He was confused by Spider-Man's answer because Peter looks extremely exhausted. "Look, Pete, it's been a week and a half since we came to this place. But ever since then, you've been pushing yourself too much. I know you've probably been told before but you gotta know when you gotta take a break."

"Delsin's right, you need to give yourself a break. You…." Kat stops herself for a moment.

"Are you alright, Kat?" asked Spider-Man.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just this is so weird that I'm talking like this. Eventually, I'll get used to this." answered Kat. "But anyway, you need some rest, Peter. I know you want to help, but that doesn't mean you have to push yourself every day. So, let Delsin and I watch over the city while you rest."

"Really? Wow… Thanks, guys. I don't know what to say." said Spider-Man gratefully.

"It'll be fine. You just need a day off or maybe a few days off. It's your choice to take a day off anytime." said Kat kindly.

"Thank you again, you guys. I probably should've talked to you guys about this before," said Spider-Man.

"Yeah, you should've in the first time. But, now we know," said Delsin.

"Now, get some rest you sleepy spider," said Kat.

Time Passes…

It is midnight, Peter finally wakes up from a long sleep. Morning to Midnight. The sleep Peter was astounding and he yawned and stretched.

"Hm? What time is it?" asked Peter. He gets ready for the night. Spider-Man exits his tent, he was shocked to see it's nighttime. Carolina noticed Spider-Man is up.

"Hey Spider-Man," said Carolina.

"Hey Carolina, how long was I out?" asked Spider-Man.

"Pretty much all day, it's midnight," answered Carolina.

"Midnight?! Did anything happen while I was out?" asked Spider-Man.

"No, except Eda, and half of the phantom thieves are dealing with bat babies," answered Carolina. Spider-Man and Carolina hear crying and screaming inside the owl house.

"Are they gonna be okay?" asked Spider-Man.

"They can handle it," answered Carolina. "What happened to you?"

"Well, I was tired last night from doing all-night patrol," answered Spider-Man.

"I see. You have been pushing yourself. I understand, a lot happened yesterday. Even I'm a bit overwhelmed about all that." said Carolina.

"Not only do we have this but we have deal Martin Li. He's still out there planning something big. I can't afford to see more innocent people in this world suffer by his hands." said Spider-Man.

"I know how you feel I haven't met Martin but after learning what happened at the convention right before we show. Pisses me off, he hurt all those people for no reason. Don't worry Peter, we'll find him soon." said Carolina.

"Y-Yeah you're right I guess I need more rest. By the way, where's Luz?" asked Spider-Man.

"Eda said she went somewhere. Something about a library. Couldn't get that much information, she was busy dealing with the baby bats." answered Carolina.

"What about Kat and Delsin?" asked Spider-Man.

"Delsin went out to find more information about Martin Li's whereabouts. He asked Kat if she can come along. Kat is still getting used to the sudden change in her voice." answered Carolina.

"Ok, right. Those two told me to get some rest and they cover the patrol for me. I'm glad Kat could help us out. Hold on. Why is Luz at the library in the middle of the night?" asked Spider-Man.

"I don't know I think it's about this thing called the "Wailing Star. Ryuji and Ann told me about the Wailing Star. It's a meteor that wails through the skies at night," answered Carolina.

"Wait, a crying meteor?" asked Spider-Man.

"Yep. I'm not making this up. Not only does the meteor wail but it causes magic. The Wailing star's magic causes an effect on books, when somebody opens a book, the content within that book will manifest into reality." answered Carolina.

"So that means the content of the books will come to life," said Spider-Man.

"Correct. The Bonesborough Library shuts down early because of the magic from the Wailing Star," said Carolina.

"It would make sense why they closed the library early. They knew it could be dangerous since those books can have dark content. I think that's why Luz went to the library before midnight. To see if the magic from The Wailing Star is real," said Spider-Man.

"I have a bad feeling something might hurt Luz. Wanna go check out the library?" asked Carolina.

"Yeah, you could be right. The contents in some of those books could be dangerous and graphic. You and I are going alone, we can't afford to bring many people with us. Even though it's the middle of the night, it's still risky because it might draw too much attention." answered Spider-Man.

"Yeah, you're right. But we need one more person to come with us, just in case," said Carolina. "Hang on. Washington!" Washington hears Carolina calling him. Shows up.

"What is it, Carolina?" asked Washington.

"It's Luz. She went to the library in the middle of the night," answered Carolina.

"What? It's about the Wailing Star isn't it?" asked Washington.

"We'll explain along the way," answered Spider-Man. "Wanna come with us to check it out?"

"Of course, it's concerning she didn't tell any of us that she was heading out," answered Washington.

"Eda told me she was heading to the library but Luz hasn't come back yet. Hopefully, she doesn't do anything reckless in there. Come on, let's go." said Carolina. Before they were about to leave, they heard the door of the Owl House open and closed immediately. They turned to see Ryuji and Ann completely messy and exhausted. Both of the Phantom Thieves were panting heavily.

"I-I can't… Take it anymore," said Ann exhaustingly.

"This is nuts, man… Here we thought this would be simple babysitting," said Ryuji. Both of the Phantom Thieves looked completely messy, with a few scratches and messy hair.

"Oh hey, guys…" said Ann sadly.

"Wow… You guys look like shit," said Carolina.

"Alright. You don't have to remind us," said Ryuji upsettingly. "Anyways, are you guys up to?"

"We're about to head out to Bonesborough Library to find Luz," answered Spider-Man.

"Take us with you! Take us with you!" Ryuji exclaimed beggingly. "Eda put us through hell. I ain't going back there."

"Uhhh… Carolina. What happened to Eda and these guys while I was sleeping?" asked Spider-Man.

"Oh, right… Just like I said before. Eda and King were tasked to watch over the Bat Queen's babies. Once they finished the job, they'll be rewarded handsomely." answered Carolina. "So Eda asked Ann and Ryuji if they can help with the babysitting. I'm guessing it's rough babysitting."

"No shit… Look what those babies did to Ann," said Ryuji as he points at Ann, she is completely suffering great misery.

"My beautiful hair…" said Ann weakly. Ann's hair is down but it is completely messy, covered in small bits of green slime. Spider-Man feels bad for his new friends and this convinces him to let them come along for this mission.

"Okay, let's go. I feel like you need a break from this insane babysitting," said Spider-Man.

"Thank you so much… Let's get outta here before Eda shows up," said Ann.

"Brats! Get back in here could use help," said Eda.

"Time to go! Save me Seiten Taisei!" Ryuji exclaimed as his appearance transforms into his Phantom Thief outfit.

"Oh, right. Hecate!" Ann calls out Hecate and transforms her appearance into her Phantom Thief outfit.

"Lavenza told us that the mysterious person also made some changes for us. Which is a change to our outfits by saying our Persona's name," said Panther.

"Nice, I wish I had that ability to change into my suit instantly. Let's go you guys," said Spider-Man.

"But one thing I have to say. Luz did say she'll come back after it is over but I'm worried for her because it's very late," said Panther.

"I know what you mean by that. But I'm glad you guys are coming with us. Shows me that you care for Luz," said Spider-Man.

"Of course. Even though we've been living together for nearly a week. She's still a kid and she needs guardians to watch over her," said Panther.

"It's about to be midnight soon, the wailing star is coming up soon. We should probably hurry before the magic kicks in," said Skull.

The group gets ready to head out. Spider-Man web swings through the town. Luckily he knows the location of the bonesborough library. Skull, Panther, Carolina, and Washington follow Spider-Man, running, and jumping through rooftops. Luz is waiting for Edric and Emira, while Luz is waiting, she is doing poses to look cool, the others were unsure what was Luz's attempts to create such poses.

"What is she doing?" asked Washington.

"I think she's trying to look cool. I guess it's a thing for some kids these days," answered Spider-Man.

"Man. She is trying so hard but at least she's doing her best," said Washington.

"Aw. She is so cute, trying to be a badass," said Carolina.

"Man, Luz you're such a dork. Well, I shouldn't be talking, even I was a dork around her age," said Spider-Man. Back to Luz, she continues to look cool.

"Gotta be cool. Cool? No. Cool." said Luz as she attempted to be cool by switching pose after pose. However, she realizes the posing was ridiculous and groans.

"Keep going." said a young girlish voice.

"Huh?" Luz was startled by the young voice. Luz got startled and tripped. Edric and Emira arrive, Spider-Man, Carolina, and Washington see the twins, and Spider-Man notices they look familiar.

"Oh right. That must be Edric and Emira Blight. Amity's older twin siblings," said Carolina.

"Amity has older twin siblings?" asked Spider-Man.

"Yes, Caboose mentioned them. They met Amity's siblings at the library," answered Carolina. "Not important right now. We need to see what's going on here,"

"We gotta get closer to hear what they're saying," said Washington.

"I can use my webs to create a rope for you to get across," said Spider-Man.

"Alright, lead the way," said Carolina. Spider-Man shoots a web to the building they are on and shoots another web to the library rooftop, he places webs together creating a path for Skull, Panther, Washington, and Carolina to get across. He web zip to a perch point of the rooftop, Carolina walks across the rope with ease, she reaches the rooftop of the library. They're able to hear their conversations more clearly.

"This is fun to watch," said Emira.

"You're ready to bring this whole, uh, whatever you're doing, inside?" asked Edric.

"Mm-hmm-mm-hmm." Luz agrees to go with the Blight twins.

Earlier…

Eda is rather busy at the moment since she was tasked to watch over the Bat Queen's child. Eda also tasked Luz to return books to the Bonesborough library. Kirby follows Luz.

"Good morning Luz," said Caboose.

"Morning Caboose," said Luz.

"Oh hey, Kirby. By the way, how are you guys feeling?" asked Caboose.

"We're doing fine. Just a little tired from yesterday," answered Luz. "We went to sleep a bit late since we were reading Azura. We're heading to the library to return these books for Eda. Do you want to come with us?" asked Luz. Caboose, Luz, and Kirby make their way to the Bonesborough library. On their way, they noticed Tiny nose carrying a large book, somehow she was able to carry it with no problem.

"Huh?" Luz is quite surprised to see Tiny nose carrying giant the book without a struggle.

"I keep seeing that little person around. For some reason, she looks familiar," said Caboose. Luz, Kirby, and Caboose stopped to see the library, it is beautiful to view, it looks like a castle.

"Woah!" Luz was in awe to view the magnificent structure of the Bonesborough library.

"Wow! Look at this place," said Caboose.

"Poyo!" said Kirby.

"Hey guys," said a familiar voice. Luz, Caboose, and Kirby turned to see who was calling them. It was Ann and Ryuji. They wearing their casual outfits.

"Oh, Ryuji and Ann, right? What are you guys doing here?" asked Luz.

"Oh, we're just looking around. Ann mostly dragged me here," answered Ryuji.

"Come on, Ryuji. Don't be like that. We're here to find any rumors about any visitors. Such as members from Super Smash Brothers." said Ann.

"Any luck?" asked Luz.

"Not really. So far, no one hasn't seen anyone or anything odd. Well, besides us." answered Ann.

"Yeah, it has been a few days since you guys showed up. Maybe they show up eventually in unexpected places in unexpected times," said Luz.

"She's probably right. Mostly likely anywhere and anytime," said Ryuji. "Anyways, what are you guys doing here?"

"Eda asked me to drop these books off," answered Luz.

"Really? She asks you to do that by yourself? How come she didn't go with you?" asked Ann.

"Well… She's busy dealing with babysitting a baby and not the ordinary one. Well, at least in my perspective," answered Luz.

"Whoa… Honestly, I'm not gonna question it. Wait, why is she babysitting?" asked Eda.

"You know the usual, money," answered Luz.

"Ah. Makes sense. We've been here for a week and the few things we know about Eda is that likes money." said Ann unsurprised.

"Yeah, classic Eda. So, you guys wanna come with us to the library?" asked Luz.

"Sure, Ryuji and I were about to check out this place," answered Ann.

"I'm in too. I hope they have manga on stock," said Ryuji. The group entered the library and as soon they enter the library, they were immediately amazed by the design environment of the library.

"Holy shit… This place is huge. Almost the size of the museum." said Ryuji.

They entered the library and continued their way. The books they were carrying started to glow with a green aura.

"Huh?" Luz and Caboose were caught off guard by the glow. The books float away from their hands and headed to the library counter, to see a man performing the magic spell.

"Poyo?" said Kirby quite surprised by the sudden flotation.

"Late. Late. Coffee, grass, and bloodstains, these are Eda's aren't they?" asked the librarian

"Huh! That was a crazy night," answered Luz nervously.

"Why do you mean by that?" asked Ann.

"You probably don't wanna know," answered Luz. The man seems disappointed and annoyed to deal with Eda's irresponsibility to return her books on time. He summons a long scroll, probably the list is about Eda's actions here in the library. Whether it's past due books or any violations she has committed at the library.

"I'll put them on her tab, by the way, we're closing early for the wailing star meteor shower." said the librarian.

"Ohhh what's that?" asked Luz.

"You're in a library. Read a book," answered the Library employee rudely.

"Wow… Nice service here. You could've at least given us a summary of it. Asshole," said Ryuji slightly annoyed by the service's response.

"Hey, it's fine. Just ignore him. Besides we're in a library, let's just read about it. Maybe there's a book that mentions about." said Luz.

"She's right. There has to be a book about the Meteor Shower," said Ann.

"Hold on a second, Luz. Before you go," said Ryuji telling Luz to hold for a moment.

"Oh yes Ryuji?" asked Luz.

"Just be careful with your surroundings," answered Ryuji. "We'll be here looking around this place, let us know if something's wrong. Okay?"

"Yeah, I will Ryuji. See you later! Come on Kirby." said Luz.

"Poyo!" said Kirby adorably.

"Wait for me guys," said Caboose.

"Shhh!" the librarian urge them to be quiet.

"Sorry about that," said Caboose. Luz, Kirby, and Caboose went on their way to explore the library.

Time Passes…

Luz wonders off to explore, she is unsure where Caboose and Kirby run off to. She went to the Reference section, to see people watching videos. The First-person is watching a video tutorial on how to fly, showing a person riding a staff. The second person is watching a cat playing the piano. The last person, well he was watching something instead the video is buffering and it only says loading, he tried smacking to see if that would bring the video back up.

"This place is amazing!" Luz exclaimed in excitement to the wonders of the Bonesborough library.

"What do you think you're doing?!" a young girl's voice exclaimed. The voice startles Luz.

"AH! I've been caught! Pretend to be a book!" Luz panics and tries to be a book in a bizarre pose hoping she blends in with the books, Luz hears children laughing.

"Wait," said Luz as she realized the sudden call wasn't for her. Luz noticed where the voice is coming from and sees the source of the voice. Luz hides behind a bookshelf and peeks a little bit to see where the laughs are coming from. Luz sees Amity reading and narrating a book to young children.

"We're your friends and we want to help," said the tin boy with a yelp. Otabin smiled and paced the floor. "I've never had real friends before," said Amity as she continues reading the book to the group.

"Amity reading to kids? Huh, Kirby! Caboose?!" Luz exclaimed as she noticed Kirby and Caboose were there with the other toddlers, Amity did notice Kirby and Caboose but she continued reading. "How did they even get in there?" asked Luz to herself.

"Then we'll be your first." The chicken witch clucked. Otabin couldn't believe his luck. So bookmaker Otabin, surrounded by friends, bound a book of friendship and that's the end." said Amity. The children giggled as well Caboose and Kirby. Luz couldn't believe what she was seeing, it seems Amity is kind after all but Luz stills wonder why Amity is mean.

"Amity seems so nice and smiley," said Luz. "Maybe I can befriend her rival." Luz hides behind the bookshelf.

"Thank you so much." said one child gratefully for Amity's narration of the book. Luz sees the kids and Amity heading to the exit of the Kids section.

"Goodbye, Miss Amity. Thank you so much," said Braxas as hugs Amity's leg and said goodbye to Amity.

"Thank you Braxas. See you next time," said Amity kindly.

"Yeah!" Braxas runs off cheerfully. Amity turns to see Kirby, she was confused about who or what this thing was.

"Aww, that was a nice story," said Caboose.

"Uhh… Hello, are you two lost?" asked Amity. She remembers Caboose at the news broadcast but she doesn't remember meeting Kirby before.

"Poyo," said Kirby kindly.

"Oh, not really. We were just looking around. If I'm right, you must be Amity.

"What? Oh yes. No need to introduce yourself since you and your kind are the talks in the Boiling Isles." said Amity.

Kirby and Caboose see Luz holding a book on her head, Kirby walks toward Luz, she is getting worried because she doesn't get seen by Amity. The last time they met didn't end well, especially what happened with Martin-Li corrupting people in the convention.

"What are you two looking at?" asked Amity. She finds her right behind and she isn't happy to see Luz once again.

"Oh hey, Luz. What are you doing with that book?" asked Caboose.

"Ugh… You," said Amity in an unamused tone. Her joy immediately disappeared as soon as she see Luz.

"Amity…" said Luz as she gets up, put her arm on a book and the book falls. "Whoop!" Luz almost falls but she caught herself. "Reading to kids. Wow. Looks like this sour lemon drop has a hidden sweet center."

"It's for extra credit. Don't get leggings in a bunch. By the way, is this man child and thing with you or something?" asked Amity.

"Yes, his name is Kirby and that's Caboose. Kirby, isn't he adorable," answered Luz.

Amity looks at Kirby. Amity slightly blushed and smiled because Kirby is adorable to look at. Luz noticed Amity was smiling, Amity frowned instantly and picked up the book that Luz dropped earlier. Amity does remember Caboose, she remembers what Caboose did with Willow, even though they are completely different from each other. They ended up being friends. Amity walks to the kid's corner sign, Caboose, Kirby, and Luz follow her.

"Hey, I could help with the kids. We could take turns reading. And do voices. I do the best monster voice." said Luz with a robot tone.

"No, I think that's a robot voice, Luz," said Caboose. Amity is getting annoyed by Luz, she slams the books onto the small table. Caboose and Kirby get a bit startled by Amity.

"Human and weird armor man child, do you see me going to the Owl shack and bugging you while you…. fry owls?" asked Amity frustratingly. Amity scoffs in disbelief. "Okay, I don't know what you do there, but every time you and your weird super friends come near me, I get in trouble. Just leave me alone."

"Hey, we didn't mean to," said Caboose. "Maybe you just had bad luck. It happens to people sometimes."

"Ugh! Do me a favor," said Amity strictly.

"What is it?" asked Caboose.

"Leave me alone!" Amity exclaimed harshly.

"I'm sorry," said Luz. "I'm sorry."

"Wait, Luz…" said Caboose. However, Luz walks away with shame. Amity feels kinda bad, she almost raised her right hand to her, like she didn't want her to leave. Caboose and Kirby were sad and look at Amity, both are confused why Amity would be mean towards Luz, she is trying to be friends with her. Instead, Amity pushes Luz away. Both of them follow Luz.

"Gahh! So much for befriending rivals," said Luz upsettingly.

"It's fine, Luz. Amity probably needs time for herself. It has been rough for her for the past few weeks." said Caboose.

"You gonna let her get to you like that?" asked a young boyish voice.

Caboose, Luz, and Kirby heard the voice and turned to see twin siblings, both wearing the hexside uniform with light blue sleeves and pants. Two of them are part of the illusion coven. Luz questions the twins.

"Who are you?" asked Luz.

"Well-wishers on a mission." answered the young boy.

"A noble quest." said the young girl.

"Watch this. Hey Mittens!" The young boy exclaimed.

"Mittens?" said Caboose unsure who the young boy is referring to. The young boy calls Amity by that name which seems to cause Amity to feel embarrassed, her face cringes and glows in red. It seems she despises that name.

"Mom says stop forgetting your lunch. And stop being a jerk to your friends and this cute little guy," said the young boy. Amity walks up to them and snatches the lunch bag away from the young boy.

"She is not my friend and whatever that weird cute thing," Amity replies that she is not friends with Luz, making her sad and Kirby hugs her leg. The young girl comforts Luz.

"Yeah, makes sense. They seem too cool for you." said the young girl.

"I am?" asked Luz.

"Really?" said Caboose unsurely.

"You can leave now. All of you," said Amity coldly.

Amity leaves them, the young girl chuckles at Amity. The twins look at Luz and Kirby, the young boy winks at Luz. Causing Luz to blush and chuckle. They walked together around the library.

"So you're the humans we've heard so much about. You too as well, the armored guys, I gotta say seeing up-close, your armor looks cool." said the young boy.

"Thanks. I've been doing my best to make it look nice and clean. It's nice that someone noticed it. Oh, wait, we didn't catch your names," said Caboose.

"Oh, right. I'm Emira. And this is Edric. We're Amity's older siblings. We heard how you embarrassed her at the school and the witch convention last week. No wonder she hates you." said Emira. Luz suddenly got a flashback about what happened back at the convention. Luz's face grew upset, no matter how times she thinks about it, she still feels horrible about the events that occurred at the convention. Edric and Emira notice Luz was sad about what happened back at the convention.

"Oh, you're thinking about what happened after you embarrassed Amity, about Martin-Li. Yeah, it was scary to think that mittens almost got killed at the convention," said Edric.

"We were trying our best to cheer her up but she wanted to be alone," said Emira.

"Same thing was happening to Willow as well, I hope they'll be fine. Spider-Man and the others are doing their best to find Martin," said Luz.

"I did talk to Willow and we became friends very fast. She's been doing well," said Caboose.

"That's good to hear. Can't say the same for Mittens though, it's hard to tell," said Edric.

"Let's not kill the mood. Speaking of, those friends of yours are you mention are so cool. The one named Delsin's powers are so cool and he's kinda cute." said Emira.

"Do you have a crush on him?" asked Edric. "I promise I won't tell anyone."

Emira blushed after hearing that, she cast a spell on Edric, grabbing his hoodie and covering his entire face. Caboose slightly chuckled at this bit. Luz and Kirby laugh at Edric and Emira's silly moment.

"By the way, I know. But I didn't mean any of it. I thought we were cool as cucumbers. But we're as sour as pickles," said Luz.

"Yeah, I don't know her that much but she is kinda mean. We just talked for the first time and she didn't want us to come near her. She probably has a lot on her mind right now, maybe it's best to give her some time," said Caboose.

"Don't waste your time with Mittens. Me and Ed, we are way more fun. Follow us," said Emira.

Luz and the twins headed to Fiction/Non-fiction. As for Kirby, he turns to see Amity, she looks lonely and frustrated at what she has to deal with daily. Kirby heads to Amity's position. Kirby greets Amity. Caboose noticed Kirby was heading towards Amity's position, he followed Kirby.

"Poyo," said Kirby.

"Hello," said Caboose.

"Huh? Oh, it's you two. What are you doing here?" asked Amity.

"Kirby and I just want to talk and maybe become friends. I know you don't want us to bother you. But, why are you mean to Luz?" asked Caboose. She hasn't done anything wrong to you."

"Poyo?" said Kirby unsure why Amity behaves rudely towards Luz.

"It's none of your business. You wouldn't understand, just leave me alone," said Amity rudely.

"You are already said that before," said Caboose.

"Then I'll say it again until you go away," said Amity.

Kirby felt bad for Amity, it looks like she is having a tough time. Kirby doesn't know what Amity has gone through but for some reason, he knows there is something wrong. Caboose and Kirby want to know why Amity is feeling upset and her reason for having bad behavior towards Luz. Kirby hugs Amity's leg.

"Hey! Get off me. Hey, tell your friend to get off of me." said Amity upsettingly. Amity was going to shake him off her leg.

"I don't think he wants to. I think he knows something is up because my friends and I did tell him what happened at the Convention. Look, I know you don't wanna talk about it. Everything that happened back at the convention, with Luz, and Willow. I think I get why you are pushing her and us away. Because of Martin and Akechi." said Caboose.

"I-I… [Sighs] You could say that. Look, I don't want to deal with this right now," said Amity.

"Willow told me her side of the story. You two used to be close friends. But something happened… You know, don't you?" asked Caboose. Amity froze for a moment, the time she was friends with Willow.

"Luz told me that you looked scared and guilty at the same time at the convention. Something tells me that there's a good reason why you did this. Willow wonders why this happened, wondering if she made a mistake or something that you made upset. But whether you did, when you did it, it hurt you, didn't it? Not to be friends with Willow anymore," said Caboose.

Amity sighs defeatedly. Amity could tell them to back off and go bother someone but she knows they won't go away. A past that she can't seem to run away from, what's sad is that nobody can't escape from their past.

"Caboose and Kirby, was it? Sorry for what I said earlier, I was about to tell you to go away but I feel like it wouldn't matter. Since I can tell you're not gonna listen. Can I tell you something? But don't tell anyone. Promise?" asked Amity.

"Okay… Your secret is safe with me. Take your time to process this," answered Caboose. "Right Kirby?"

"Poyo," said Kirby as he nods that he agrees not to tell her secret. Amity takes a deep breath, collecting her thought and keeping her composure. Caboose and Kirby hear what she has to say.

"When I was young, Willow and I used to be best friends. However, my parents didn't want me to see her again, they think she is weak and my family only wants to have connections with the strongest witches," said Amity. The young Blight was just a child who was unable to prevent this, a burden that weight on her shoulders for years. She hide this pain from everyone and she was hoping she could hide it from anyone. Unfortunately, secrets usually don't last forever. This is a fact that everyone seems to forget because it can be difficult to accept.

"If I didn't listen to them, they would ruin Willow's future. Ruining her chance to get to Hexside academy. I didn't want that, so I was forced to ruin my friendship with Willow. Since then, I humiliated and bullied her. After what happened at the convention… I feel like a horrible person, of the pain I caused. It made me realize that I did too much… Too much that it almost killed me. This pain keeps following me, what Willow said. It just…. It doesn't stop. Willow hates me for what I did. I didn't know what to do." said Amity as her voice cracked. Amity feels overwhelmed by the guilt and couldn't hold her tears. Caboose noticed this and attempts to cheer her up.

"Hey… Don't say that to yourself. It's okay. Amity, look at me." said Caboose calmly. Amity looks at Caboose. "It's going to be okay. It wasn't your fault, you were just a kid. Look, I know it's tough but you can work it out. Maybe try to ask someone for help. Have you tried to do that?"

"I wanted to. But I've been hesitant to talk to someone about this," answered Amity.

"So that's why. Honestly, I think I get it," said Caboose.

"Really? What makes you think that?" asked Amity.

"I noticed how people react when did they hear your name. Saying you're one of the best students and that you are mean to others. But after seeing you like this, I had a good feeling you were not that kind of person." said Caboose.

"W-What? I don't understand, what do you mean by that?" asked Amity.

"Well, you remind me of Carolina. When the first time I met her, she was very mean and strict. She never liked me or any of my friends. But as time went on, we got to know each other better. Things have gotten better for all of us. Haha… You should've seen her, she was brutal," answered Caboose. "Look, Amity… It was painful for Willow but it must've been more painful for you… You and Willow were best friends, it's not your fault what happened on that day."

"Poyo!" said Kirby agreeing with Caboose's statement.

"Thank you… It's okay, Caboose, I think I needed that, it's just I wish I didn't do that to her. Wait, do you understand what I am saying, Kirby?" asked Amity. Kirby nods yes, he feels so sorry for Amity. Kirby hugs her. Amity was surprised by the sudden hug, the feel of the hug felt warm which made Amity smiles, she feels happy that Kirby and Caboose comfort her.

"It's ok Amity. you may think Willow hates you but I think she's just hurt after what happened. About your parents, don't listen to them, they're nothing but big bullies, you are strong and smart. Amity, you still have a long way to go, maybe you'll be the strongest witch in your family once you're all grown up." said Caboose. Amity felt a bit better after hearing Caboose's words, she thinks Caboose does understand, after all, Caboose may be dumb and childish but he has a good heart to care for and listens to someone's story.

"Thank you so much," said Amity gratefully.

Ann and Ryuji walk by and see Kirby and Amity hugging each other, and Caboose sees the two. Ann and Ryuji walk up to them and they recognize the young blight. They both had to make sure to pretend that they haven't met Amity before.

"There you are. We've been looking for you guys," said Ann.

"Oh, hey guys. Any luck learning about the Wailing Star?" asked Caboose.

"Yeah, it's pretty simple. Once the meteor passes by, it leaves a trail of magic which mostly affects books. Bringing the contents of the books to life." answered Ann.

"That would explain why the library is closing early. Probably because the books might have dark content or something worse besides that," said Ryuji.

"So, Caboose, who do we have here?" asked Ann.

"Oh, right. Guys, this Amity. The one girl, Luz keeps talking about." answered Caboose.

"Hi, there. My name is Ann. Nice to meet you," said Ann.

"The name's Ryuji. So, what's going on here?" asked Ryuji.

"Oh, this… It's tough to explain," answered Caboose.

"He's right, it's…. Complicated," said Amity.

"Yeah, Amity told me something personal but it's between us," said Caboose.

"Oh, isn't it about the convention? Luz told us that Amity has been having a hard time for a while. Is Amity okay?" asked Ann.

"Amity doing fine right now. You are right about that convention part. But it's more than that. It's like what Amity said, it's complicated." answered Caboose. Amity was relieved to know Caboose is keeping her secret safe.

"So, you're not gonna tell us what happened?" asked Ryuji.

"I'm sorry guys. But I can't tell until Amity is ready enough to talk about it. I have to respect her privacy," answered Caboose.

"Oh, okay. I understand if she doesn't want to talk about it. It can be tough to talk about it." said Ann.

"That I can agree with. Some people are scared to speak up about their problems and it can be tough to find some help," said Ryuji. "By the way, Luz told us a lot about you."

"Really?" Amity was shocked to hear that to know that Luz talks about her.

"Yeah, she was hoping to be friends with you but she told us you can be tough talk to you," said Ryuji.

"Honestly… I can't blame her for thinking like that. I have been pushing her away. I just need time to think before I run into more shenanigans with her," said Amity sadly.

"I think the shenanigans already began," said Ryuji.

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" asked Amity.

"We did see Luz hanging with two other kids that almost have the same hair color as yours," said Ryuji.

"What? Oh no…." said Amity worryingly. The group hears someone whaling, it is one of the employees of the library, it seems he is saddened about something.

"Ughh! Really?!" Amity runs off to see what is happening at the Library.

"Well, there she goes. She seems like a nice kid," said Ryuji.

"Yeah, she's pretty nice. She has a lot on her mind and she keeps pushing people away from her," said Caboose.

"I think I get it now. She is going through a lot and doesn't want to get involved. Just like… I did back in High School." Ann seems to be slightly stressed about something. But she calmed "Anyways, we should probably go check it out," said Ann. Caboose, Kirby, Ryuji, and Ann went after Amity to see what is going on.

"Hey!" Amity exclaimed upsettingly.

The library employee grunts frustratingly, however, his frustration disappeared because he is wondering where his friend is. "Wait. Where's Gary?" asked the library employee.

"Coming! Nooo!" Gary cries and collapses to the ground in sorrow.

"Luz, what did you do?" asked Ryuji.

"You! Your delinquent child was causing a ruckus!" the Library employee exclaimed.

"Well, no shit. We can see that," said Ryuji. "Also, seriously, is your friend being that dramatic over a sign?"

"He can be very sensitive when it comes to the library. He cares about the condition of the library," answered the library employee.

"Look, we're sorry about Luz. She's just a kid. We'll talk to her later about this," said Ann.

"Well, you better. Honestly, I can't believe this. First these two and now her," said the library employee. He seemed very annoyed. Luz smiled nervously now that her new friends caught her causing a slight mess to the library.

"Hi… guys. Sorry about the mess," said Luz nervously.

"Luz, it's fine. We're not mad. Eda did warn us you are a troublemaker. At least that's what she told us. Anyways, let's go. Eda is probably worried about you." said Ann calmly.

"Yeah. You're right, we should probably tell Eda that we turned in the books," said Luz.

"Now then move along, you three. You guys have gone too far with your fun," said the library employee.

"Alright, we get it. We're leaving," said Ryuji annoyed by employee strictness. The group exited the library.

"You've made reading far too fun. Now stay out!" the library employee exclaimed. Ryuji was more annoyed than before.

"Jeez. Why was that guy such a dickhead?" asked Ryuji. "Well suck to suck, asshole. Hope somebody trashes the place. Maybe your friend might pass out from the mess."

"There he goes. Well, Ryuji, people are people. Not even surprised to run those kinds of people in this world," said Ann unsurprisingly.

"Hey, guys. I'm sorry about that," said Luz.

"It's fine. You did what Eda asked you to do. So mind telling me who are these two? It seems Amity knows these two." said Ann.

"Oh this Edric and Emira. Amity's older siblings," said Luz as she introduces the Blight twins.

"I see. Make sense of why Amity went straight to them. As soon they were making trouble," said Ryuji.

"Yeah, you should've seen Mitten's face. It was worth it," said Edric.

"We're also good children, we're not trouble makers," said Emira.

"Yeah, sure…" said Ann sarcastically. Ann can tell these two enjoy causing some trouble.

"What caught me surprised is that Amity's even madder at me now. I didn't think that was possible," said Luz.

"No, when Mittens gets mad, she looks like this," said Edric.

Edric demonstrates how Amity looks when she gets angry, he inhales sharply and grunts to make a mad face, and his face is getting red. Edric lets go and catch his breath.

"Whoa! I almost passed out," said Edric.

"You're pretty fun, human," said Emira. The Blight twins stare at each other and nodded yes. The twins are planning something that involves Luz.

"So, hey we're coming back tonight. There's a certain book we forgot to check out," said Emira.

"And bonus, rumor has it the wailing star's supposed to unlock some rare magical event. You in, friend?" asked Edric.

"Maybe you can invite one of your friends," said Emira.

"I'm not sure. They're kinda busy with other stuff. But as for me, Sure," said Luz.

"Yeah, we appreciate the offer but I think we're gonna pass," said Ann.

"Me too. After what happened Moonlight conjuring. I'm still taking a break from magic. But thanks for asking," said Caboose.

"Okay, suit yourself. Great to know, Luz. Meet back here at midnight. See you Luz." said Edric as he and Emira leaves the area.

"Bye," said Luz. She is happy that she was able to befriend Amity's older siblings.

"You seem happy. I guess you were enjoying your time with them," said Ann.

"Oh, it's just. I finally meet some cool people. This is great. First, I befriended the siblings, then I befriended the Amity. Oh! I need to get ready for tonight." said Luz.

"Wait just a minute, Luz," said Ann.

"Hm? What is it?" asked Luz.

"Isn't it a bit dangerous to go there at midnight? Turns out, the library is going close soon because of the wailing star. Turns out the magic can bring the book content to life." said Ann. Luz gasps in excitement, knowing magic only brings her excitement.

"Really? That's even better," said Luz.

"At least I have a little doubt about this," said Ann cautiously.

"Right, sorry. But still, that's just exciting. Magic bringing books to life. Doesn't that catch your interest?" asked Luz.

"Well, you do have a point. It could be interesting. But, waiting for that until midnight sounds risky," said Ryuji with a sense of doubt. "But, if you wanna go with those two. I don't mind as long as you come after you're done."

"Wait, are you sure that's okay for her?" asked Ann.

"Well, since she's like the chosen one. I doubt she'll get hurt from this," said Ryuji.

"I get that. But I'm still skeptical about this. The library said it would close early for the day and there's probably a good reason why they close the library," said Ann worryingly.

"I think it should be fine. She's not gonna be there alone, Edric and Emira are gonna be here later tonight. She should be okay as long she stays with them." said Caboose calmly. Ann couldn't agree because they seem confident that Luz could take of herself.

"Okay, I trust you to be careful tonight. There might be some creeps roaming around the place. Also, be sure to tell Eda and the others about your plans tonight, okay?" said Ann.

"Yes. I will. I promise I won't cause any trouble." said Luz confidently.

"Alright, you're free to go," said Ann.

"Thank you guys, alright. See you later," said Luz.

"See ya, Luz," said Caboose. Luz makes her way back to the Owl House. As soon as she leaves, Amity was behind the pillars of the library. Seems she heard their conversation. Amity gets angry, and her face glows completely red. Amity calmed down and gasped for air. She almost passed out, it seems Edric was right about that.

"Phew! Almost passed out," said Amity relier to not passed out from her anger. Caboose heard her voice and check what was behind the pillar. Caboose finds Amity hiding behind the pillar.

"Hm? Oh, hey Amity. What are you doing?" asked Caboose.

"Eep!" Amity was startled by Caboose. "How did you know I was here?" asked Amity.

"I heard a heavy gasp plus you're not good at hiding," said Caboose. "So, what are you doing hiding in the corner?"

"N-nothing!" Amity exclaimed.

"I think she was listening to us," said Ryuji.

"No, I wasn't," said Amity denying the fact she wasn't listening.

"Then, why is face red?" asked Ryuji. Amity is slightly red, embarrassed by them.

"I think it was about her siblings teasing her," said Ann.

"No, it's not just that. You don't get it… None of you do." said Amity weakly. Caboose and Kirby see Amity is slightly down. They noticed her parents are not the only problem, it seems her siblings can be troublesome. Caboose has thought of something to cheer her up.

"Oh, Amity, let us if you want to talk again and you know where to find me. If I'm not there, I'll let the others know about you. Maybe you can chat with them if you want." said Caboose.

"He's right. We got your back if something bothering you. Try not to stress about the time." said Ryuji.

"Hey, Amity. One last thing. I know it will be tough… But Willow needs to know about your side of the story." said Caboose.

"I-I know. That's the part I'm really scared of. What if… What if I'm not ready to face it?" asked Amity.

"Amity… I wish I had the answer. If I just made up an answer for that. I'd be lying to you and myself. But I do have an answer of my own but it's up to you if you want to use my answer. My answer is to do what you can to face it and you won't be alone when it happens. I know you can do this," said Caboose. Amity is experiencing a feeling she never felt before, a feeling of strong comfortableness, keeping her away from stress. She finally has someone who could listen to her and this is just the beginning. Amity was wondering about something she asked Caboose about something.

"Caboose, does this mean we're friends?" asked Amity.

"Well, if you put it like that. Yes, we're friends," answered Caboose.

The response caught Amity off guard, she wasn't ready for that. But she is glad to have an actual friend.

"Alright, take care of yourself, Amity," said Caboose.

"Bye, see you later," said Amity joyfully.

The group makes their way back to the Owl house.

Now…

Amity leaves and thinks of herself as a fool thinking Luz is nice. Spider-Man, Washington, and Carolina felt bad for Amity. Edric and Emira laughed at Amity's embarrassment, this made Spider-Man Washington, and Carolina a little upset. Luz, Edric, and Emira exit the secret room.

Three of them walk towards the entrance of the bonesborough library, sealed with a giant lock. Edric pulls out a scroll with descriptions that could unlock any locks.

"It says no trespassing but I'm allergic to the rules," said Edric.

"And dairy," said Emira mockingly.

"Wow, okay. Just expose me," said Edric slightly upset about Emira exposing his health conditions with milk.

From Spider-Man, Skull, Panther, Carolina, and Washington's perspectives.

"I don't know if Luz knows about the wailing Star's magic," said Carolina.

"I did tell her about it. But that made her more excited to see the magic," said Panther.

"Makes sense why she would up with them. But I think she did hear about it but she doesn't know the full context since she hasn't seen it yet.." said Spider-Man.

"Plus, I think we're about to find out soon," said Washington. Back to Luz. Emira grabs the scroll, the scroll begins to glow, and she places the scroll against the wall. The scroll burns into multiple pieces, turning into dust. The keyhole glows and grows larger, making a path. Luz and the blight twins enter the library.

"Come on," said Edric.

The door morphs back into its original form, and Spider-Man, Washington, and Carolina need to find a way inside.

"We need to get inside before something happens," said Spider-Man.

"Damn, the door is locked at this side. Looks like we're gonna have to find another way in," said Skull.

"I think there should be a window somewhere on the rooftop," said Carolina.

"There," said Panther pointing to the window rooftop.

"Nice, good thing we don't have to break in without breaking anything," said Spider-Man.

"Yeah, another thing to know is that this doesn't have any advanced technology, like cameras or drones to patrol the area," said Carolina.

"Now that you mention it, I feel more confident sneaking around without worrying about that," said Spider-Man relievedly. "Alright, let's head in." The group went through the roof window. Back to Luz, Edric, and Emira.

"Standing in a dimly lit lobby. You guys know how to party," said Luz.

"There. The Wailing star!" Edric exclaimed.

Edric points at the glass stained window. The Wailing star flew through the skies and sobbed along the way. The glass stained window shows a beautiful reflection. Luz was amazed to see it, as well as Spider-Man, Carolina, and Washington to see the Wailing star.

"Wow… It wails. I thought it was a metaphor about the meteor." said Skull.

Edric and Emira were expecting something to happen but were immediately disappointed to see nothing happened.

"Hm. Nothing happened," said Edric.

Luz noticed the bookshelves were glowing with a green aura.

"Wait. The books are all glowy," said Luz.

Luz went to the bookshelves, she grabbed a book titled "Extinct Birds of the Boiling Isles." Luz opens the book, and suddenly birds are coming out of the book. Luz, Emira, and Edric are amazed to see this magic.

"Whoa. It's incredible," said Carolina in awe.

"Yeah, you can say that again," said Washington.

"It's cool but I wonder why they close the library?" asked Skull.

"I think we're about to find our answer soon," answered Panther.

"Wow!" Emira exclaimed in awe.

"Wow. The Wailing star magicked the books to life," said Edric.

Luz closes the book, and the birds disappear. Spider-Man and the others saw the whole thing, honestly, they are amazed to see that. It seems whenever the book closes, the content disappears. They continued watching the kids. Edric, Emira, and Luz smile and plan to have fun. Edric and Emira walk up to the magazine's section. Edric picks up a magazine titled "Regal Couture." Edric opens the magazine and huge light blasts on Edric and Emira, changing the clothes into fanciness, and a bird comes out of the Regal Couture. Luz grabs a magazine titled "Witch Wares Weekly" and Luz opens the magazine, and the book blasts a light at Luz, changing her appearance, the outfit looks familiar for some reason, and Luz falls backward because the sword was super heavy. As this was happening, Spider-Man and the group are enjoying what was happening, they were having fun with the Wailing Star's magic. They head to the graphic novel section, Luz grabs a graphic novel book and opens it but nothing happens.

"Nothing Happened," said Luz, As soon as she said those two words Suddenly a comic book speech bubble appears and phrases what Luz said. They all gasp in surprise.

"Wow!" Edric and Emira exclaimed in awe.

A comic book speech phrasing "WOW!" The speech bubbles disappeared when Luz closed the book but another speech bubble appears saying "THUMP" but disappears in a split second. Spider-Man was thinking if this library has any Spider-Man comic books.

"Hm… I wonder if the library has a copy of a Spider-Man comic," said Spider-Man.

"Maybe, we should look the next time we come here," said Skull.

Time Passes…

Back to Spider-Man, Carolina, and Washington's perspective.

"Not bad so far. Still, this whole magic stuff from the wailing star isn't the bad side about the Wailing star magic," said Spider-Man.

"Now you mention it, maybe there is. The library closed earlier because of the Wailing star's magic. So, probably something bad must've happened in the library in the past." said Washington.

"You do have a point. If anything happens we're jumping in," said Carolina.

Back to Luz, Edric and Emira. The Blight twins are continuing playing snowballs. As for Luz, she went to the kid's corner room, she saw the book titled "Otabin the Bookmaker." Luz picks up the book and opens it, Otabin spawns from the book. Luz smiles to see the adorable bookmaker.

Location: The Owl House

Back at the Owl House, Eda, King, Morgana, and Futaba are hiding under a table, they can barely fit. The baby bats are bringing chaos and mess to the owl house.

"Oh hey, it's your adorable marshmallow friend," said Eda.

"Maybe he can us with this problem," said King.

"Hey, Kirby," said Futaba catching his attention. Kirby sees the mess and the Bat Queen's babies causing a ruckus.

"Hi, Kirby… Mind helping us with this mess," said Eda kindly.

Kirby's response was to head to the door and exit the Owl House. The response left them in shock.

"Whoa… Okay, fine. Alright." Eda sighs exhaustingly. "There he goes,"

"Did he just ignore us?!" King exclaimed.

"No. Worse. He abandoned us. Betrayal," said Futaba in a hopeless tone.

"Are you kidding me?! Why?" asked Morgana.

Kirby went outside and looked around the tents to see if any of the tents weren't occupied. Spider-Man and Delsin aren't at their tent at the moment. So, Kirby gets comfortable and rests in their tent.

"We can do this without him, right?" asked Morgana. The bat children continue with their frenzy in the interior of the Owl House.

"What silences children? What if we invent a tv network for ages six to eleven?" asked King.

"That's insane," answered Eda objecting to the idea.

"Eda, remind me why we're doing this again?" asked Futaba.

"For the money," answered Eda calmly.

"Seriously?!" Futaba exclaimed. "One of the babies almost puked at me! I hope this is worth it in the end. We need to think of a plan before someone gets hurt, or worse!"

"Any ideas Eda?" asked Morgana.

"Ahh, there's only one way out of this," said Eda as she pulls out a knife from her hair, King, Futaba, and Morgana gasped in horror. They worry about what Eda is planning to stop the bat babies.

"Wait…What are you gonna do with that?" asked Futaba.

"Apple slices and story time," said Eda cheerfully. Eda slices apples and brings out a book, it's "Otabin the Bookmaker." The two Phantom thieves sigh, relief that Eda has a plan without doing anything so dark.

"Oh, nice. Phew!" said Futaba relievedly. " I thought you were gonna do something graphic."

"What? Nah. Plus, it's not my style. Come on kids, let's end this night," said Eda as she gets up and sits down on the couch, preparing to read the story to the children.

"All right, brats. Let's do this. Ugh. Being parental is making me sick," said Eda annoyed at the role of being a parent. The babies and King grouped up right in front of her, listening to her reading the story. Futaba and Morgana were surprised this worked. So they let it roll. They sit by to hear Eda's narration of Otabin. The bat baby sits by Futaba's arms.

"Aww... Hey, you're pretty cute when you're not in a frenzy," said Futaba.

"Otabin spends his days alone amongst many books he'd sewn. With needle and thread…" said Eda then the narration continues with Luz back at the bonesborough library.

Location: Bonesborough Library

"...the pages he mends. But all the while he longed for a friend," said Luz.

"Friend?" said Otabin.

Edric calls Luz, telling her that he and Emira recently discovered the secret behind the wailing star's effect on the books. Spider-Man tells the others he is going to get close to hear the conversations and makes his move.

"Alright, guys. I'm going to get closer to them. You stay here for a moment while I listen to their conversations. I can use my phone, and share the feedback with your comms," said Spider-Man.

"Ok but be careful," said Spider-Man.

"We can come by as well. Don't worry, we're professionals with the stealth," said Panther.

"Okay, try not to stick close. They might look around for something else around here," said Spider-Man as he web zip to the wall near the kid's corner entrance, he was close enough to hear their conversations. The others can listen to their conversations.

"Luz, check this out," said Edric.

"Look what we discover." said Emira as she was holding a book titled "Quacks Eats Snacks." Emira opens the book, revealing a baby duck, seems normal, the duck spawns out of the book, roaming around the room quacking.

"Aw. Cute little quackster," said Luz. Unfortunately, Edric decided to ruin the cuteness. He uses a pencil to draw on the book, drawing large muscular legs on the little duck. They all looked at the duck with large legs, the little duck realized its strange appearance and started panicking. The twins laughed at the little duck, Emira closes the book causing the little duck to disappear.

"Your turn, Luz," said Emira.

"I don't know," said Luz doubtfully.

"Come on. Don't stop the fun," said Edric

Luz hesitantly grabs the pencil and opens the Otabin. Despite, being a fictional character, however, it can still be brought to life for a brief moment. Luz is not like Edric and Emira. So, she didn't want to do it. Luz sighs.

"I can't do it," said Luz.

"Let me help," said Edric as he grabs Luz's hand and drew angry eyebrows on the illustration of Otabin. It is now completely ruined with obnoxious doodles. An odd-looking hand was slowly emerging from the book. Luz closes the book before the Otabin character emerges from the book, she doesn't want to see it.

"I don't want to see it," said Luz worryingly.

"Whatever. We didn't come here just to doodle. Come on." said Emira. Back to Spider-Man and the other's perspective.

"Sounds like they were doing something to the books," said Spider-Man.

"I saw. They were drawing something from the book. The duck looks different and it started panicking because of the edit." said Carolina.

"As for the other book, something was about to come out but Luz closes it before it emerges from the book," said Washington.

"Yeah, it didn't sound right. It's probably for the best we don't open that particular book," said Skull.

"They're on the move," said Carolina.

Back to Luz. Emira grabs Luz's hand, they head out of the kid's corner room. Luz drops the book and her hand emerges from the book. They headed to the Romance section. Spider-Man sees the children heading to the Romance, he follows them stealthy with style. Spider-Man scans the environment of the library, everything looks normal except for the Romance section. The Romance sign seems fine, however, the bookshelf seems normal, well normal people. But Spider-Man's eye lenses can view structure or clues that he can see that normal eyes can't. There seems to be a doorway hiding behind the bookshelf.

"Hey guys, I scan the area, there's a weak structure behind that bookshelf, the romance section. Behind it, there's a small room. I think the twins are here for that room, and Luz probably doesn't know about this." said Spider-Man.

"Why I get the feeling this won't end well," said Carolina slightly worried.

"You know, I'm starting to get that feeling too," said Spider-Man.

"Same, I think I know where this is going," said Washington.

"Really? How so?" asked Skull.

"Let's just what happens. Can't say for sure right now," answered Washington.

"Keep an eye on them Spidey, let's see what happens here," said Spider-Man. Back to Luz and the Blight twins. They arrived at the Romance section.

"Oh, wow. Boiling Isles romance. That's lame. I mean unless you guys are into it?" asked Luz. She thinks the romance section is lame but that is not true. She is only saying that just to sound cool for Edric and Emira.

"I think I'm into this one." said Edric as he slightly pulls out a book titled "The Lone Witch & Secret Room", he places the book back, and a part of the romance bookshelf opens, revealing a secret room. Luz is shocked about the secret room. Spider-Man, Carolina, and Washington saw the room and Spider-Man got closer to hear their conversations.

"Wow! That's a good book. Your clubhouse is like my ultimate secret hideaway." said Luz admiring the layout of the secret room.

"We don't hang out in the library. "Uh, teacher, I'm in love with a dictionary," said Edric mockingly.

"I'm studying the dork arts. This is Amity's secret hideaway," said Emira. Luz was shocked, as well as Spider-Man and the others. Spider-Man thought to himself about the secret room.

"Amity's secret hideaway? Why would Amity have a secret hideout in the library?" asked Spider-Man to himself.

"Unless…" Panther thought to herself. Earlier when she met Amity, she noticed Amity look troubled as if something is bother her tremendously. Perhaps, Amity wanted space all alone and where no one would find her personal space. They continued listening to their conversations.

"Mittens has gotten too full of herself. She keeps tattling on us when we cut class," said Edric.

"She needs to learn not to mess with people like that. So we're going to find her diary," said Emira confidently.

"And then post the pages all around the school for everyone to see," said Edric excitingly.

"Ohohoho!" The Blight twins laugh it off as if it's a normal joke where it would hurt no one.

"What? Isn't that taking a bit too far?" asked Luz.

"No see, we're her family. It's tough love. She needs to learn to lighten up," said Emira calmly as if this were normal.

"Hmm. Well, I-I don't see any diaries in here," said Luz sarcastically as she pretends to find Amity's diary. "Nope, nothing. Let's just leave. Wait, are those?" Luz noticed a collection of books she is familiar with, the four volumes of The Good Witch Azura. Luz squeals in excitement.

"Good Witch Azura books one through four! You get these on the Boiling Isles? So majestic. Is this cover hand-drawn?" asked Luz as she grabs a book to get a closer look. A hand-drawn cover, it kinda looks like Amity wearing Azura's outfit. Luz opens the book and starts to glow thanks to the Wailing star magic effect. A small version of Amity emerges from the book.

"I saw that human girl again," said Amity.

Luz realizes this Amity's diary and the reason Edric and Emira are here for. Spider-Man hears Amity, and he scans the area to see Luz holding a book, he realizes it's the Wailing star's magic and Luz is reading Amity's diary.

"Is that Amity?" asked Washington.

"Wait, she's here?!" Skull exclaimed.

"No, it's coming from Amity's diary," answered Spider-Man. Back to Luz.

"The diary," said Luz.

"I may have overreacted. I don't wanna come off as cruel. I just can't show weakness." said Amity regrettably.

"No," said Luz as she closes the book, she didn't want to listen more. Despite the circumstances between Luz and Amity. Luz still wishes to respect Amity's privacy.

"What've you got there, Luz?" asked Edric if she found anything. Luz panics and lies to Edric, trying to hide Amity's diary.

"Oh. N-Nothing…" answered Luz nervously. "Just a good Witch Azura 5 where she goes through her goth phase." Emira cast a spell, making the float right off Luz's hand.

"Huh? No, wait," said Luz. The book floats towards Emira, and she opens the book. They found what they are looking for.

"It's not fair. I'm the only one who knows Ed and Em aren't perfect. Why do they keep getting away with things?" asked Amity.

"This is it," said the Blight twins excitingly.

"Luz, were you hiding this from us?" asked Emira.

"You see how she treats people. And how she treats you," said Edric.

"I know Amity can be kind of cold but no one deserves this. These are private thoughts. Let's put it back." said Luz as she grabs Amity's diary. Luz and the Blight twins struggle with each other to get the book.

"She needs this," said Edric rashly.

"It's for her own good," said Emira ignorantly.

Their struggle ends, and the pages fall off the book, scattering everywhere to the floor, revealing more information about Amity. In other Diary notes of Amity, they began spawning from the pages.

"I wish I had somewhere to go. Why won't the humans leave me alone? I accidentally called my teacher mom again. Sorry I haven't written for a while. Wait, why am I apologizing?" The notes of Amity continue talking.

Back to Spider-Man and the others. Carolina sees Amity walking to the Romance section.

"Guys, Amity is here!" Carolina exclaimed.

"What?! How did she get to the library?" asked Spider-Man.

"I don't know but the look on her face, I think she's pissed," said Carolina.

"Crap… She must've heard their conversation about the Wailing Star. By the looks of it, she knew what her siblings were planning." said Skull.

"You're right, Skull. She knew Edric and Emira wanted to pay her back for what she did. "Honestly, that's just pathetic, she wasn't doing anything wrong and they are gonna expose her diary to the school, all because she called them out for cutting class. That's just messed up, they wanted to *lighten her up.* More like bullying their younger sister." said Panther.

"Spider-Man, once this is over, I'm gonna talk to the twins outside," said Carolina.

"Woah. Woah. Carolina, I know you want to watch over Amity but this isn't our business." said Washington worryingly.

"I know that Washington. But for some reason, something wants me to step in, and give them what I have to say. This seems too much for Amity, and I think it's probably worse than we can imagine." said Carolina.

Washington was about to continue to argue back but Carolina could be right about this. Washington knew Carolina for a long time and he won't stop her actions. Washington lets Carolina go talk to the Blight twins.

"Ok, Carolina. I'm coming with you. Is that fine?" asked Washington.

"Fine by me. You're okay with that Spider-Man?" asked Carolina.

"Sure. Woah, you sounded serious, it kinda scared me. Ok but don't do anything crazy." said Spider-Man.

"Now I understand your friends are afraid of you," said Skull.

"I'll take that as a compliment," said Carolina.

"Yeah, we don't want to cause any trouble. So, do your best not to scare them to death," said Panther.

"I'll try not to do that," said Carolina.

"We'll go with Spider-Man," said Skull.

Back to Luz, the pages continue talking, Luz tries to pick up the pages. Amity shows up in front of the doorway of her secret room.

"Really?" said Amity frustratingly.

"Argh. It's not what it looks like," said Luz.

Edric and Emira laugh at Amity's rage.

"You two are the worst," said Amity frustratingly as she grabs her diary from Luz and faces her. "But you… "I've been trying to figure out what your deal is. Are, are you a poser? A nerd. I know. You're a bully Luz."

"Amity!" Luz exclaimed.

"Mittens killed the fun," said Emira unamused with her younger sister being a buzz kill.

"Oh well. We're heading out to go goblin-tipping. Wanna come?" asked Edric.

"You're just gonna leave?" asked Luz

"Yeah with you," answered Emira.

"Look, you guys are cool," said Luz.

"Mm-hmm." Blight twins nodded.

"But I need to go talk to Mittens. I mean, Amity," said Luz.

"All right, see you around cutie," said Emira in a teasing way. The Blight twins make their leave to the entrance, Luz blush after Emira calls her a cutie.

"Alright. Guys, they're heading to the entrance. You're free to go to talk to them." said Spider-Man.

"I see… Watch over Luz while I lecture these brats outside," said Carolina. Washington sighs in exhaustion. "Hopefully you won't traumatize them, Carolina," said Washington as he and Carolina steadily follow the Blight twins to the entrance.

"I hope those Edric and Emira survive Carolina and Washington's lecture, alright Luz, I hope Amity can trust you," said Spider-Man.

"Are you sure it was a good idea to let Carolina go after Edric and Emira?" asked Panther.

"Honestly, I don't know. Maybe they could learn a thing or two from Carolina," answered Spider-Man.

"That's one way looking at it. But anyway, I'm sure they'll be fine," said Skull. Back to Luz, she is looking where Amity ran off to, lucky not too far. Luz finds Amity, telling her she didn't mean to read her diary.

"Amity, wait," said Luz. Amity grunts in frustration.

"First, you embarrass me. Then you wanna be my friend? I don't get you. Pick a side." said Amity frustratingly.

"Please, just listen to me," said Luz calmly.

"Just go away before things somehow get worse," said Amity refusing to hear a word from Luz's mouth. Spider-senses are tingling real bad, he saw a giant monster coming toward Luz and Amity's position. Luz and Amity heard loud footsteps coming closer.

"Huh? Oh, shit…" said Skull worryingly.

"Oh no…" said Panther concernedly.

"Huh?" Luz and Amity see the strange beast. The monster had a book heart, it was the "Otabin The Bookmaker."

"Otabin?" said Amity unsurely of what she is witnessing.

"With claws and fangs and breaking bones, I found a friend to make my own," said Corrupted Otabin ominously.

"Hey, can you sew a sweater for me?" asked Spider-Man. "Don't forget about these guys, they're important too." Corrupted Otabin turns around only to be kicked in the face by Spider-Man. Luz and Amity were shocked that Spider-Man is there.

"Spidey?! Huh?" Luz sees Panther and Skull. "What are you guys doing here?!"

"Not right now Luz! You two need to go," said Spider-Man.

"We'll deal with this freak. Get somewhere safe," said Skull. Luz and Amity run away, Corrupted Otabin recovers from Spider-Man's attack.

"Why are you taking away my friend, you filths?!" the Corrupted Otabin exclaimed violently.

"Sorry but Amity sees you as a fictional friend. Why don't you just go back to your book and live happily ever after?" asked Spider-Man.

"No! She is my friend," said Corrupted Otabin not accepting this nonsense. "We were destined to be friends forever!"

"Sorry Otabin but I think that's gonna be a bad ending for Amity," said Spider-Man.

"Yeah plus you won't be able to last that long since the Wailing Star happens once a night," said Skull.

"If you get in our way to being friends forever, you must perish!" said Corrupted Otabin.

"Oh boy, here we go guys," said Spider-Man.

"Wow… The way this thing talks is so edgy," said Panther exhaustingly. Spider-Man, Skull, and Panther get ready to fight Corrupt Otabin. Otabin attacks them but they were able perfectly dodges his attack. Corrupt Otabin continues to attack Spider-Man, he dodges the attacks perfectly.

"Ok big guy, our turn," said Spider-Man as he shoots electric webs at Otabin, stunning him, Skull summons Seiten Taisei to cast Ziodyne. Shocking Otabin, the skill caused an ailment. The Phantom thieves' personas have a chance to inflict status conditions on their enemies. Once inflicted with any kind of ailment, it can be an advantage for their team. Otabin is completely paralyzed due to the electricity. Panther takes this chance to summon Hecate to cast Agidyne. A powerful fire skill, this skill can also inflict an ailment effect which is burning. Spider-Man sees an opening, and Otabin is being overwhelmed and behind was the large bookshelves.

"Gets back you guys!" Spider-Man exclaimed. Skull and Panther listened and step away from Otabin. He used his webs to pull the bookshelves, crashing down on Otabin.

"The poor Otabin the Bookmaker gets crushed by bookshelves. The End," said Spider-Man.

"Nice one," said Skull.

"Luz! Amity! Where are you?" Panther yells out their names.

"Over here!" Luz exclaimed. Spider-Man hears and heads to the source of Luz's voice, he finds Luz and Amity hiding in Amity's secret room.

"It's safe, are you two alright?" asked Spider-Man.

"Yeah and-" Luz was interrupted by a huge crash, Spider-Senses are tingling. Spider-Man, Skull, and Panther turn to see corrupt Otabin back up on his feet.

"What the hell?!" Skull exclaimed. "We bombarded him and yet he's still kicking."

"I think it hardly did anything to him," said Panther.

"Seriously Otabin?! Did you think Amity would appreciate this?" asked Spider-Man.

"You need to stay out of this!" Corrupted Otabin exclaimed and completely ignoring any sense from Spider-Man. "I don't want things to get worse."

"Well make us!" Spider-Man exclaimed.

Spider-Man, Skull, and Panther charge at Corrupt Otabin and Spider-Man shoots web bombs at Otabin, Corrupt Otabin struggles but he easily removes the webs. Spider-Man realized he was getting stronger.

"I'm gonna lure him by the other bookshelves and trapped him there," said Spider-Man.

Spider-Man lures Otabin into other bookshelves, so he can trap him again but if that happens, Spider-Man needs to find a way to stop him for good. Spider-Man remembers hearing Luz's conversation earlier, with Edric and Emira discovering another secret of the Wailing Star's magic. They used a pencil to draw and change Otabin's appearance. Spider-Man was able to figure out how to undo this, which is undoing the edits.

"Guys, I figure out his weakness. It's the book, we need to remove the edits that Edric left," said Spider-Man.

"That's gonna be tough since it's at his chest. He probably knows his weakness. So, we need to catch him by surprise." said Panther.

Spider-Man continues to lure the Otabin to the bookshelves and shoot web bombs. Each web bomb detonates and Otabin gets caught in the blast of webs.

"Sorry Otabin but your story concludes here," said Spider-Man as he shoots a concussive blast to push down another bookshelf on Otabin. But Otabin grabs the large bookshelf before it collapses on him, he breaks free of the webs. Panther and Skull summon their personas to stop but he resists their attacks. Otabin throws the bookshelf at them.

"Oh… Shit!" Skull exclaimed.

"Why is this thing getting stronger?" asked Panther.

"Aw crap, move!" Spider-Man exclaimed dodging the large projectile but Otabin charges at Spider-Man, grabbing him and slamming him to the ground, and throwing him to the bookshelves. Skull and Panther came to support as they summon their personas. However, Otabin strikes them with his tail. Skull gets in front of Panther. Blocking the attack with Seiten Taisei.

"Panther, are you alright?" asked Skull.

"Thanks, I'm fine. It's just a scratch," said Panther.

"Ok ow. Oh no," said Spider-Man worryingly.

The bookshelves collapsed on Spider-Man, and he grunts in pain. He uses his strength to get off the bookshelves and sees Otabin heading towards Luz and Amity.

"Stay out of my way you spider!" Corrupted Otabin roars at Spider-Man.

"No! Otabin leave them alone!" Spider-Man exclaimed.

"You wouldn't understand, me and Amity were friends for a long time. Now, it is time for our reunion," said Corrupted Otabin.

"Guys, stop him before things get worse," said Spider-Man.

"Okay!" said Skull and Panther.

Skull and Panther did their part. Skull summons Seiten Taisei to cast God's hand, a powerful physical attack. Panther summons Hecate to cast Agidyne. These attacks did great damage against Otabin. However, Otabin still stands from the attacks. Skull and Panther are getting annoyed at this point.

"What the hell, man?! We ain't doing shit to it!" Skull exclaimed frustratingly.

"Unless it's the magic. It's probably making him stronger. This might be the reason why they closed the library early. They know the magic can be dangerous and unpredictable," said Panther.

Otabin grabs a large bookshelf and throws it at them.

"Shit! Get down." Skull pushes himself and Panther from the projectile. The bookshelf is about to land on them but Skull summons Seiten Taisei just in time to stop the bookshelf from falling on them.

"Oh, crap… That was close," said Skull nervously.

Otabin sees the opportunity and goes to find Amity and Luz. They did their best to hide but Amity accidentally bump into a book and the book fell. Otabin hears the noise and he found them hiding in the Secret Room.

"LUZ!" Amity screams horrifyingly. Otabin grabs Amity, and Luz attempts to grab and hold but Otabin is too strong, he takes her away.

"Amity!" Luz cries and she looks at Amity's diary, and she thinks of an idea. Spider-Man, Skull, and Panther hear Amity's screams.

"Oh, that's it! This asshole is gonna get it!" Skull exclaimed determinedly.

"This time… We're not gonna hold back!" Panther exclaimed.

"AMITY! AMITY?! Come on Pete!" Spider-Man exclaimed as he gets up and got himself off the bookshelves.

Otabin heads to the kid's corner and places Amity in a large book, he uses a sewing needle and a large string of yarn. Otabin sews Amity's right arm to the book, magically her arm morphs into the book. Amity gasps in fear, and she questions why Otabin is doing this.

"Why are you doing this?" asked Amity. "I've been reading you since I was a kid. I know you're not like this. Someone changed you."

"But friends are what I've always sought. And now a friend my claws have caught," answered Corrupted Otabin. Both of them heard a noise and turned in the direction where the noise was coming from. A purple smoke enters the kid's corner, revealing a figure that is wearing Azura's outfit.

"Azura," said Amity unsurely. Amity thought it was Azura but it was Luz wearing Azura's outfit.

"Close. Is a drawing okay?" asked Luz about the design of the clothing. "I kind of interpreted the descriptions."

"Luz!" Amity exclaimed.

"Ah, right. The good witch, Luzura, grabs her trusty staff," said Luz as she writes down what she said in the book, a staff emerges out of the book, very similar to Azura's staff.

"All right. Beloved work of children's fiction let go of her," said Luz as she charges at Otabin and swings her staff but Otabin grabs her staff and throws it away. Otabin grabs the book, and closes it, reverting Luz to her casual outfit. Well, at least she tried.

"Ahaha… Not an Azura fan, are you?" said Luz nervously.

Otabin grabs Luz and places her on the right side of the book, sewing both children, he seems happy while doing it. Luz's right arm merges into the book, they need a new plan real fast.

"Making friends, taking friends, never be without my friends." said corrupted Otabin. It seems he is saying phrases from the Book's writing.

"You fiend!" Luz exclaimed. "You can't rhyme friends with friends."

"Great work Luzura," said Amity sarcastically. "I would've preferred Spider-Man and the other two doing the saving."

"Hey! I was trying to save you," said Luz honestly.

"Well, it doesn't matter. We're gonna be stuck together forever," said Amity hopelessly about the situation.

Luz thinks Amity could be right, but Luz moves her right stuck arm and the paper also moves slightly, it looks like they can get out of this, she has an idea.

"No, we aren't. Follow my lead," said Luz instructively. "One two three."

"What are you doing?" asked Amity.

Luz moves back and forth causing the book to tremble forward, hitting Otabin's head, stunning him for a few seconds. Otabin opened his eyes to see Amity and Luz gone.

"Guys, what happened to you?" asked Spider-Man.

"Otabin is trying to sew us into the book," said Luz.

"Guys go! I'll slow him down," said Spider-Man. "Hey, Otabin!"

Otabin was about to exit the kid's corner room but Spider-Man blocks his path by webbing the entire pathway.

"No! Come back!" Corrupted Otabin roars desperately.

"Ok, that won't hold him for long but enough time to think of a plan to stop him," said Spider-Man.

"This thing keeps going through our attacks. We know it's hurting him. So, we're gonna need to strike it down. Hard." said Skull.

Luz and Amity stopped running, thinking of a new plan to stop Otabin.

"Now what?" asked Amity about Luz's next step in her plan.

"I don't know. I didn't even think that would work. I was all like "roaaar." Luz roars in a silly way. Amity was caught off guard by this and she chuckles at Luz's roar. Luz smiled that she made Amity happy. Spider-Man jumps toward them and tells them his plan.

"Guys, I think I know how we can stop him. Those drawing edits on Otabin's book, if we can erase those edits, Otabin should revert to his original form," said Spider-Man.

Spider-sense are tingling, Otabin broke out of the kid's corner, and he threw his sewing needle at the large book. Dragging the book and kids along with it.

"Friends," said Corrupted Otabin threateningly.

"Otabin stop! Amity wouldn't want this!" Spider-Man exclaimed.

"Stay out of this!" Corrupted Otabin roars ragefully.

Skull summons Seiten Taisei to cast Ziodyne, then Panther summons Hecate to cast blazing hell. A powerful fire skill, this skill does massive damage. Spider-Man web throws multiple books at corrupt Otabin, giving Spider-Man an opening to attack, however, Otabin was pretending to be stunned, and Spider-sense was tingling but it was too late to react. Corrupt Otabin grabs Spider-Man slamming him to the ground, Spider-Man blocks the next attack from Otabin, he blocks the attack but it was too strong. Spider-Man screams in pain and Otabin throws him at Skull and Panther. Otabin continues pulling them and bringing them closer to him. Both of them struggle to escape the book.

"Oh, don't even think about it!" Skull exclaimed as he get up and pulls out his shotgun and begins unleashing the shells. Amity sees a ladder she reaches and grabs on into the ladder, she holds onto it until she breaks from corrupt Otabin's string and crashes into a book cart. But Luz is still stuck in the book.

"LUZ!" Everyone exclaimed in extreme worry.

Otabin grabs the large book and continues sewing Luz, she struggles to stop Otabin but it was no use.

"You squirm and fight, yet scream and shout. But friendship always will win out," said Corrupted Otabin.

"No, stop. This kind of friendship isn't healthy," said Spider-Man.

Luz's body almost merges into the book and Otabin was almost finishing sewing Luz into the book.

"Hey, freak face!" Panther calls out corrupted Otabin's ugly appearance.

"Huh?" Corrupted Otabin turned to see Panther as she uses her whip to snap at Otabin's hand. Otabin grunts in pain, the attack distracted him. He hears screaming, it was Amity coming at her.

"HAHH!" Amity uses the book cart and crashes at Corrupted Otabin.

Skull summons Seiten Taisei to cast God's hand. This time the attack landed a critical. Amity crashes into corrupt Otabin and he crashes into a bookshelf, the bookshelf falls into corrupt Otabin. He struggles to remove the bookshelf off him, and Spider-Man recovers from corrupt Otabin's attack. Amity and Spider-Man remove the strings off of Luz, and her arm emerges from the book.

"Oh. Third dimension how I've missed you," said Luz happily.

"We must stay friends until the end. There is no tear I cannot mend," said Corrupted Otabin as he was about to grab Luz, but Spider-Man webs her out the way. Spider-Man, Skull, and Panther prepped themselves against Corrupted Otabin. Luz and Amity hide behind.

"Alright, no more screwing around, asshole!" said Skull ragefully.

"Otabin, I think it's time to conclude this story," said Spider-Man determinedly. "So bring-"

Spider-Man was interrupted by a strange noise, everyone heard the strange noise and turned to see a green pipe. Someone jumps out of the green pipe, it was a small man, he is wearing a red hat cap with the letter M in a white circle, a red shirt with golden buttons in his blue overalls. White gloves, brown shoes, and mustache. Luz's eyes widened to see this mysterious man. Skull and Panther recognize this individual. Spider-Man remembers Joker mentioning and showing a picture of this character named Mario.

"Wait, aren't you.." said Spider-Man.

"It can't believe it, it's him..." said Luz.

"Uh. Luz, are you okay?" asked Amity worryingly.

"MARIO?!" Luz exclaimed in complete shock.

The small man is revealed to be Mario from Super Mario Bros. Mario turns to hear who said his name, and he questions Luz.

"Huh? Do you know me?" asked Mario.

"OMG! Yes, you're Super Mario!" answered Luz excitingly.

"Do you know each other?" asked Amity.

"Not exactly but I'll explain later," answered Luz. "Mario, we need help, this monster is trying to attack us."

Mario sees the corrupted Otabin, he was shocked to see this monster.

"Mama mia! What is that?" asked Mario.

"No more questions! We need to take out this thing now!" Spider-Man.

"Okey dokey! Let's-a Go!" said Mario.

"Alright, let's do this! Seiten Taisei" Skull roars as he summons seiten Taisei to cast Matarukaja, increasing the teams attack. This skill can increase the party's attacks for a brief time.

Mario shoots multiple fire projectiles at Corrupt Otabin, Skull, Panther, Mario, and Spider-Man charge at corrupt Otabin. Spider-Man does a basic combo, then Mario jumps ground pounds him at his chest. Spider-Man performs a finisher by webbing Otabin's arms and attacking him using his arms. Mario performs Super Jump Punch, coins appear after the attack, and Mario dropkicks Otabin's face and adds with a down strike punch. Skull and Panther summon their personas, Skull casts charge, A skill that enhances the user's next physical attack. Panther cast concentrate, a skill that enhances the user's next magical attack. Otabin is completely stunned by those attacks, Mario noticed he has a tail and grabs his tail. He starts spinning him and the momentum goes faster than before.

"So long big fella!" Mario throws him, sending him flying at the bookshelves. Causing massive damage.

"Our turn!" Skull summons Seiten Taisei to cast God's hand and Panther summons Hecate to cast Blazing hell. Their attacks have done massive damage. Otabin screams in agony. Mario jumps at Otabin, punching him in the face. Spider-Man performs a finisher by web striking and Mario jumps in the finisher by grounded pounding him in the head. Luz was freaking out in excitement. You can't blame her for getting excited seeing Skull, Panther, Spider-Man, and Mario working together. Amity has an idea to undo this wrong, she wrote something down on the giant book.

"Luz has to right a wrong," said Amity.

A giant eraser saying "Magic Eraser" emerges out of the book and she passes it to Luz. Mario goes behind Otabin and grabs his tail.

"No! Not again!" Otabin screams in horror. He began spinning, then Mario throws at other bookshelves. Making a bigger mess. After the attack, Mario suddenly started to glow, and Spider-Man and Corrupted Otabin saw the glowing aura upon Mario, he backed up and warned Spider-Man to get out of the way. The others see Mario glowing, Luz realizes what Mario is doing, and she gets more excited to see this.

"Young man! Out of the way quickly!" Mario warns Spider-Man to get out of the way.

"Alright, you're gonna do a crazy move right. Ok time to move!" Spider-Man exclaimed as he gets out of the way.

"OH YEAH! HIYAHHHH!" Mario roars as he unleashes his Final Smash.

Corrupt Otabin gets hit by the blast, screaming in pain, and the blast knocks him out. Spider-Man, Amity, and Luz were amazed to see Mario's Finale.

The Owl House X Super Mario Bros.

"Luz, quick!" Amity cries for Luz to put an end to this.

"Now's your chance!" Spider-Man exclaimed.

Spider-Man shoots webs at Otabin's legs and arms. Preventing him to move. Luz heads to Otabin and climbs up to his chest, and uses the magic eraser to erase the drawing edits. Corrupt Otabin reverted to his original form. Otabin is now normal and healthy. Luz falls but grabs Otabin stopping his fall. Luz places him down. Spider-Man, Skull, Panther, Mario, and Amity walk up to them, and she picks up Otabin.

"I'm so sorry. I don't know what came over me," said Otabin. He feels guilty about his actions.

"Hey, it's okay. We're still friends," said Amity. She understands Otabin was not himself when he went berserk.

"It's okay, you were just going through a rough time at the moment. By the way, little guy, sorry for earlier," said Spider-Man.

"Yeah, it wasn't your fault. It was someone who was that bored," said Panther slightly annoyed. She is referring to Edric and Emira's reckless behavior.

"Yeah, don't take the words we said to you seriously," said Skull.

"Don't worry, I thank you all for calming me down. In all honesty, I believe it was the best that I was stopped," said Otabin.

Amity looks at Luz, nodding yes. Meaning it is time for Otabin to go back home in his book. Luz closes the book and Otabin disappears from Amity's grasp. Luz walks up to Amity, smiling and knowing it's ok.

"I honestly don't know what to say. Can someone explain to me what's going on?" asked Mario. "Because I am super lost about the context here."

"Oh, right. Hello, you must be Mario. My name is Spider-Man." said Spider-Man as he offers a handshake to Mario and he accepts the handshake."

"Nice to meet you, Spider-Man. The one and only Super Mario. Say, how do you two know my name?" asked Mario.

"A few friends of yours are in this world and told us about you," answered Spider-Man. "Joker and his friends as well as Kirby."

"Joker?! Kirby?! They are here too? What are they doing here?" asked Mario. He noticed

"Oh, Panther! Skull. You guys are here too. It's great to see you again." said Mario happily as he greets them with a hug. Panther and Skull hug him back.

"Hey, Mario. It's great to see you too," said Panther.

"It's been a while, dude," said Skull.

"I know you have a lot of questions But we can take you to them and I'll explain everything once we get there. Alright, we should probably get outta before the Emperor's coven shows up," said Spider-Man.

"Yeah, we made a mess. I feel bad for the people who have to clean this up," said Luz.

"Shit… I know I said that I hope someone would trash the place but I wasn't expecting it would be us. Yeah… Those guys are gonna lose it once they see this place in a complete dump," said Skull.

"No crap! If anyone finds us here, they're gonna make us pay for all this mess," said Panther.

"We should leave before that happens. Trust me, I experience this stuff before and it wasn't pleasant for my bank account," said Spider-Man.

Suddenly the group a loud sound.

"What the?! The sounded like a gunshot," said Spider-Man.

"SPIDER-MAN!" a young boy exclaimed desperately. Spider-Man and the others looked where the voice was coming from. The source was coming from the entrance. They check what was happening and find Washington, Edric, Emira, and Carolina. However, Carolina was shot in her right shoulder.
