Chapter 16: "Escape of the Palisman."

Lilith is resting in her bedroom. Her thoughts were bothering her at the moment. It was about Emperor Belos recruiting other people from different universes

"How is he finding these people?" asked Lilith. "Unless… No, that's foolish for me to think of that."

Lilith thought Emperor Belos have something to do with the Multiversal portals that have spawned throughout the lands of the Boiling Isles. Lilith's thoughts have been bothering her since the arrival of the President of the Hyperion Corporations. Even the Medici family's sudden arrival and invitation to join the Emperor's Coven. Her thought process was interrupted by a piece of faint music playing on the lower floors of the castle. Lilith's curiosity grows and investigates where the music is coming from. Lilith exits her resting room and heads to the castle's lower floors to find the source of the music. Lilith was getting closer to the source and found the nearest chamber where the source is near as well as sounds of conversations.

Lilith finds a chamber filled with women wearing bunny outfits. Lilith was surprised to witness this many humans, especially wearing explicit outfits. Each of one them wears a bunny skull, and the bunny ears headband is like feathers similar to Black Dahlia's. She sees another woman wearing a bunny headband, blond hair with a donut bun ponytail, and a pair of glasses in front of the skull mask. However, she is wearing a black work dress, a red bowtie, black fishnet socks, and black flats shoes.

"What is happening here?" asked Lilith.

"Oh, you must be Lilith Clawthrone. My name is Bookie. Madam Dahlia has been expecting you to show for tonight," said Bookie. "Allow me to take you to her."

"O-Oh… So… Explicit," said Lilith unsurely.

"Don't mind about the ladies. They're simply doing their job. You'll get used to it later on," said Bookie calmly.

Bookie guides Lilith to Black Dahlia's table. Lilith was surprised by Handsome Jack communicating with Black Dahlia and her associates. Handsome Jack noticed

"Oh, thank you for bringing her to us Bookie," said Black Dahlia.

"Of course, Miss Dahlia," said Bookie as she leaves and returned to her job position.

"Lilith, darling. I was hoping you would join us for tonight," said Black Dahlia.

"Hey there, Lilith," said Handsome Jack. "Where you've been?"

"What are you all doing here?" asked Lilith.

"Oh, I'm just getting to know our new friends here. The Medici family. We're just having a normal conversation," answered Handsome Jack.

"I see. It seems they've been making changes in the castle since they showed up," said Lilith.

"Of course. We need to make our comfort spaces," said Black Dahlia.

"That's right. Oh, allow me to introduce Vitale Medici. One of the sons of Lorenzo Medici." said Handsome Jack.

Lilith was greeted by a slightly overweight formal man. Vitale has brown hair, a pair of glasses, and a petite goatee beard under his chin. He is wearing a brown tuxedo suit, a black tie, and a white shirt.

"It is an honor to meet the leader of the Emperor's Coven," said Vitale.

"You should come to join us and listen. They were telling about the crazy stuff their world goes through. Skullhears, Skullgirls, and even this artifact known as the Life Gem."

"The Life Gem?" said Lilith as she sat down with them.

"The Life Gem is most of the prized possessions that the Medici family ever owned. Whoever holds it, grants the user youth and immunity to all kinds of your threats. Sounds amazing, doesn't it?" asked Handsome Jack.

"It does sound interesting," answered Lilith. "Do they have the Life Gem with them right now?"

"Unfortunately, no. Luck hasn't been on their side when a thief took the Life Gem and manage to get away." said Handsome Jack. "Vitale's old man wasn't careful to watch over it. Considering he was holding the Life Gem in the first place."

"A group named the Fishbone Gang attempted to steal the Life Gem but failed miserably. A little feline manages to steal the Life Gem. Nadia Fortune. The last member of the Fishbone Gang."

"Oh yeah… You mention Black Dahlia killed them. But how did she get away? How did happen anyway?" asked Handsome Jack. "To be honest, I'm surprised she managed to slip through your fingers."

"She got lucky. I had her but I never thought she would consume the life gem just to save her pathetic life," said Black Dahlia.

"She what?!" Lilith exclaimed.

"Whoa… No way, she ate it… Ha! Now I understand how she manage to steal it," said Handsome Jack. "A place where nobody would think to look."

"No, after she was cut up into bits. The Life Gem saved her from her demise," said Vitale. "The name of the Life Gem says it all, it prevents the holder from dying. However, it seems the Life Gem fused with her body. Granting her unique abilities.

"What happened to her? Have you caught her yet?" asked Handsome Jack. "Wait, I can tell you haven't caught her yet."

"No… Nadia Fortune wasn't the only problem we had to deal with. Unfortunately, we had a change of plans due to Emperor Belos requesting the assistance of the Medici family. After the Skull heart was destroyed, we were nearly crushed by a longtime rival," said Vitale.

"Right. The Royal family of Renoir… Damn, it really wasn't your year," said Handsome Jack.

"You can say that again," said Black Dahlia. "We had our moments with the previous Skullgirls but this particular Skullgirl… nearly put an end to us. I gotta give credit where it's due, she did a fine job causing massive collateral damage. We've never been hit this bad before."

"Unfortunately, the Skullgirl was destroyed and we couldn't retrieve the Life Gem. We were getting desperate but that was when Belos showed up," said Vitale.

"Then things just got more interesting," said Black Dahlia.

"Would you all shut up about what happened earlier?!" An old arrogant man.

The old man has barely white hair on his head, the old man is wearing a black suit, a shirt, and a green tie. The old frustrated man looks like he's a walking skeleton that's about to collapse. Handsome Jack was surprised to see the old man's appearance and his surprised reaction shifts into a mocking tone.

"Whoa… Holy shit! What the hell happened to your face? Haha! You look like a melted sculpture," said Handsome Jack mockingly.

"Excuse me? What the hell do you mean by that?" asked Lorenzo.

"Apologies, for my father's misbehavior. Since the Life Gem was taken, he returned to his normal age," said Vitale.

"Wow… I see. So, he tried to cheat death. But at least tried… Miserably." said Handsome Jack.

"Listen here, don't you know who I am?!" Lorenzo exclaimed.

"I know. Emperor Belos mention you were the best. The crime boss of the Medici family, a name to be reckoned with. A marvelous hero… But a dirty one. But he also told me, you've been lacking as of late." said Handsome Jack.

"He has a point you know," said Black Dahlia.

"What?!" Lorenzo exclaimed.

"Death comes for us all, one way or another. In all honesty, I found it pitiful that you latched on to the Life Gem just to run away from death," said Black Dahlia. "It's even more disappointing you let that feline take the Life Gem. We wouldn't be in this mess if wasn't for your recklessness."

"Damn… That's so cold." said Handsome Jack.

"Yes, Black Dahlia has been somewhat disappointed in him for being way over his head," said Vitale. "Anyways, besides the Skullheart and the Life Gem. Emperor Belos promised us something important once we fulfilled our roles in his plans for the upcoming Day of Unity," said Vitale. "Oh speaking of."

Everyone sees Emperor Belos entering the chamber. One of the bunny ladies was startled by his presence and nearly dropped the tray of drinks. Luckily she composed herself just in time before she lost her cool. The other bunny ladies paid their respect to Emperor Belos by bowing to him.

"I hope I wasn't intruding at the moment," said Emperor Belos.

"No, everything is fine at the moment, sir," said Lilith.

"Naw. You're fine, Emperor B," said Handsome Jack. "These guys were telling me all these kinds of stories about the Life Gem and Skullhearts. Man, interesting stuff. It's kinda making me jealous since they have those cool stuff in their world."

"That's right," said Emperor Belos. "I'm glad you understand one another."

"I don't like him so far," said Lorenzo.

"Oh? Is there a reason why you dislike him, Lorenzo?" asked Emperor Belos.

"He doesn't give me any respect! He treats me like I ain't worth anything. He treats me like an old man!" Lorenzo exclaimed.

"But you are an old man," said Emperor Belos. "My… I believe your age is getting the best of you, Lorenzo."

"Oh shut up! If I had the Life Gem, I wouldn't be disrespected at the moment," said Lorenzo.

"Why should we give you any respect? Hm? Just to feel proud? Praised as a god? HA! In your dreams, Lorenzo. We all know that you don't deserve any of that," said the elegant woman.

Lorenzo and the others turn to see a brown-skinned woman. She has short black hair and wears a crown with small pearls attached to it. She has short black hair, sky-blue eyes, and red lipstick, and she is wearing a black slim dress There is a large golden ribbon on the woman's body, and the shape of the ribbon resembles an Ankh, an Egyptian symbol that represents eternal life.

"Ah, Eliza. I began to wonder where you were," said Emperor Belos.

"I was just getting accustomed to this place. I must say I prefer this place Lorenzo's considering it has he foul smell roaming in his place. But the Skullgirl did destroy the tower, so good riddance," said Eliza.

"Good riddance?! Oh once this is over… I'll be sure to ruin for you good and everyone will know you're true colors!" Lorenzo yells.

"Ugh… Belos. I don't want to be rude… But why did you bring him along?" asked Eliza.

"Vitale told me that Lorenzo wants to see how this folds and understands what kinds of problems will be getting in our path. Not only that but he will be defenseless back in your universe," answered Emperor Belos. "Not only that but he wants the Life Gem once we finish our work."

"You see? He acknowledges that I'm an important person. Unlike you blood-stained whore," said Lorenzo.

Emperor Belos deeply sighs. Emperor Belos was finding Lorenzo slightly irritated at the moment and wishes him to be quiet at the moment.

"I see… Lorenzo… I understand your desperation to return to your prime form considering you're slowly decaying. But I find Eliza an important individual to cooperate with. As well as your other associates," said Emperor Belos. "So there won't be any need for blackmailing or threats around here. Do I make myself clear?"

"... Fine…" said Lorenzo.

"Good. I expect the same from all of you. Even though you had complications in the past. That doesn't mean you bicker until all of you wither away," said Emperor Belos.

"I appreciate for defending me, Belos," said Eliza. "It was getting annoying that he constantly insults me as he slowly withers away."

"No need to thank me. I don't want any distractions. Especially coming from a stubborn old man." said Emperor Belos. "He does have my respect however I dislike his arrogance. I believe he should receive the backlash for his unfortunate stupidity of losing the Life Gem."

"Are you kidding me? You're defending her?! Don't you what she is?" asked Lorenzo.

"Lorenzo… I am aware of her true colors, and what she's capable of. So, please… Don't try to warn me. I know the monster hiding within her. Isn't that right, Neferu?" asked Emperor Belos.

"Oh… Interesting. Not many know my secrets except for the Medici family. But they don't know my real name," said Eliza.

"W-What? How did you figure that out?" asked Lorenzo.

"As I mentioned before. I have my ways," answered Emperor Belos. "Eliza, I have no intention to speak ill of your past or characteristics. What matters is what we do in the present. Lorenzo attempted to take advantage of your dark secrets. You can tell he sounded desperate."

"Hm. Indeed. Instead of the threats, he could've just asked nicely," said Eliza. "Honestly, just like Dahlia said, none of this wouldn't happen if you just take things seriously, you old fraud."

"Yeah, we could really use the Life Gem right about now… But at least we have other things and help we use from our inventory," said Handsome Jack. "Like the one chick with the hat that has big arms."

"Yes, Cerebella is a unique fighter however she hasn't been doing well to achieve our expectations," said Vitale.

"That's right, she's one of Black Dahlia's pupils'," said Lilith.

"Correct. Cerebella is a strong darling but her weakness is being naive. I had a feeling her weakness would get the best of her," said Black Dahlia.

"Speaking of, where is she right now?" asked Lilith.

"Oh, right. I gathered and convinced two more people to join the Emperor's Coven. So, I asked Cerebella and the young man to bring them here to Bunny's Burrow." answered Emperor Belos.

"We're here, Belos," said the young woman.

The young woman has light brown skin, her hair color is mint green, and it is tied in a sharp ponytail. The young woman's eye color is black, and she wears purple eye-shadow, as well as matching mint-green lipstick and her nails are polished in the same color as well. On her left cheek, there is a small purple tattoo. The young woman wears a bright orange strapless low-cut mini-dress, with a band of cloth with an orange and black triangle pattern around her upper arms. She also wears billowing cream sleeves and maroon appendages on the cuffs, and a black choker. She wears black thigh-length boots, with an orange diamond pattern along the length of each boot, and that is pointed at the ends and has a skull sitting on each bridge. The young woman also wears an interesting hat, it has large arms and there is a skull with horns in the middle of her hat. Her appearance looks similar to a Jester's.

"Who are these people?" asked Lilith.

"Other people that Belos took in after their little fight against Eda's friends and Belos brought them in some time ago. The young man is Goro Akechi. The woman right there is Allison Church," answered Handsome Jack.

"We're back. Did we miss anything?" asked the young woman. "I hate to find out that I missed out on something important."

"Not that much Cerebella. This is only small talk," answered Black Dahlia.

"What is that on her head?" asked Lilith.

"That's Vice Versa. In our world, we have Living Weapons and Parasites. Cerebella was gifted with Vice-Versa when she was younger and since then, they shared a strong mental bond. Only she can wield the Vice-Versa quite well," answered Vitale.

"I see. Very similar to Palisman but with different characteristics and requirements to forge a trust," said Lilith. "I must say, it's a unique specimen."

Vice-Versa shows an expression of flattery from Lilith's comment. Cerebella slightly smiled after seeing Vice-Versa in a joyful mood.

"It appreciates the compliment but anyways," said Cerebella.

Cerebella was curious about the Mysterious man's appearance, especially the mask design. Considering he hasn't revealed himself to his peers.

"By the way, what's with this guy wearing the mask?" asked Cerebella.

"Oh, that's simple. I'm keeping it as a surprise for the right moment to a certain someone," answered the Mysterious man. "It's best not to ask why. It might ruin the whole thing."

"Oh… I wonder who it is," said Cerebella. "Anyways, what's with these two? They haven't been talking since I met them. It's so… menacing."

"They have complicated situations just as we do. Also, they need time to think for themselves but never mind that. They're just here to get the job done," answered Emperor Belos.

Lilith noticed Akechi looks somewhat conflicted but she chose not to interact with him. Knowing that Akechi might turn her down about having a conversation.

"Why didn't you inform me that they would be joining the Emperor's Coven, Belos?" asked Lilith.

"I have been rather busy as of late. These people I'm associating with, It wasn't simple to convince these two to be part of my plan," answered Emperor Belos.

"Belos… Tell me what I have to do. I don't care about any of this. I just want this to be done and that is it," said Allison Church.

"I understand you wish to reach your goal as soon as possible. However, the process of doing will be long and difficult," said Emperor Belos.

"I see… Any updates about this plan of yours?" asked Allison Church.

"Nothing yet so far. Everything is going well as planned for the Day of Unity," answered Emperor Belos.

"Okay, also…" said Allison Church. She was about to say something but she stopped herself.

"Also what?" asked Emperor Belos.

Allison Church was about to ask another question that involved the heroes back in the Owl House. Allison Church was thinking about the previous encounter. Seeing Carolina for the first time and her words. A singular word is stuck in her mind.

"M-Mom?" said Carolina weakly.

Allison Church was feeling somewhat confused about that comment, what did that mean? She thought of the possibility of that question knowing that Carolina could be related to her in some way. However, she doubts the possible answer. Emperor Belos noticed something odd about Allison.

"Allison… Is there something on your mind that's bothering you?" asked Emperor Belos.

"It's nothing," said Allison Church. "I'm heading out to take care of something."

"To where? Is there a reason for heading out late?" asked Emperor Belos.

"I'm going after for a few bounties. I'm doing this so I can come to prepare the next time I come across them," answered Allison Church.

"Very well. Take the time you need," said Emperor Belos.

Allison Church didn't respond back and headed out for the night to find bounties.

"Jeez… What's her rush?" asked Handsome Jack.

"She has an extremely hot temper and cold heart when it comes to fighting enemies," answered Emperor Belos. "Never mind her for now. So, Lilith… Black Dahlia informed you lost to the other Spider-Man.

"O-Oh… Um… About that. I tried to beat him but he got lucky. In fact, he wasn't even fighting fair," said Lilith upsettingly.

"That child has interesting advantages that caught Lilith by surprise. Honestly, it was entertaining to watch the fight… You know, Belos, I'm still upset you couldn't let me have some fun," said Black Dahlia.

"Patient. You'll have your turn eventually, Black Dahlia," said Emperor Belos.

"Ouch… Damn, I guess it wasn't your day, Lilith because you got your ass kicked by a kid," said Handsome Jack mockingly.

Lilith gets irritated by Handsome Jack's insults and grumbles frustratingly.

"Says the one who got served by my sister. You got messy when I found eating dirt back on Hexside," said Lilith.

"Oh… How cute. You know she got lucky there but I'll give credit to your sister. She does know how to cause collateral damage," said Handsome Jack. "Bitch."

"Plastic face," said Lilith insultingly.

"Mental ill Karen!" said Handsome Jack.

"Hypocrite!" said Lilith viciously.

"Fatass!" said Handsome Jack.

"Wha? Excuse me? I can assure you that I don't look overweight!" Lilith exclaimed.

Vitale facepalms witnessing Lilith and Handsome Jack's arguing. Cerebella and Eliza were somewhat surprised by Lilith and Handsome Jack's complaints. Lorenzo was bored by this.

"Wow… Good sign how they are as people," said Cerebella.

"Ugh… Imbeciles," said Eliza.

"Would you two shut it? We know that both of you failed miserably. Belos, you bought us here to talk about something. So what is it?" asked Akechi.

"That's right Let me get to that soon," answered Emperor Belos. "Lilith, it's best if you take the night off considering you still need time to recover from your injuries."

"But I'm fine, Belos," said Lilith.

"I'm aware of that but I can tell you look exhausted. So, please take the night off," said Emperor Belos. "Everyone needs time for themselves."

"Yes… Before I go, what do you have plans for them?" asked Lilith,

"No need to worry about that. They have their own assigned roles for the Emperor's Coven," answered Emperor Belos.

"I see… Well, good night," said Lilith as gets up from her seat and headed to the exit of the chamber. Lilith was feeling conflicted about everything that was happening. Various people from different universes are joining the Emperor's Coven. However, Lilith wishes not to doubt Emperor Belos considering she's loyal to him and believes he is doing the right thing for the Boiling Isles. Lilith always had a strong respect for Emperor Belos since she was a young witch. Breaking a strong respect is not a simple task for some people. Lilith heads back to her home, back to the Conversation with Emperor Belos.

"The Owl Lady… I saw her earlier today, especially with her little student. I could've had a little fun with the Owl Lady, but unfortunately, Lilith chose to be a failure," said Black Dahlia. "But besides the disappointment, I never thought in a million years I would come across the likes of Spider-Man.

"I agree. I'm not familiar with this kind of genre of entertainment. I heard about them but never care for video games in general because it was a waste of time," said Eliza. "Also, you mention there are two Spider-Men. Is that correct?"

"In fact, there are other Spider-Men from different universes. But these two are from the same universe," said Handsome Jack as he places a monitor device that displays a screen. Showing all the heroes that have been shown at the Owl House. "We also have to worry about these guys. Vault Hunters, humans with superpowers, and Super Smash Brothers."

"Super Smash Brothers? Ha! They sound like a bunch of jokes," said Lorenzo.

"Lorenzo, my guy. Look, they may look ridiculous but I have seen some of them do crazy shit. Don't let these guys fool you… This is a name many people praise. A gathering of other warriors clashes together in a large tournament. Not only that but they faced opponents that attempted to destroy their worlds. Powerful beings who were capable enough to destroy or dominate worlds in minutes. As for the Vault Hunters, these guys were a pain in the ass to kill. If you encounter any of these guys in the future, be wary at all costs," said Handsome Jack.

"He's right. They will be a problem for us in the future and this isn't a problem that we can't simply remove from our shoulders," said Emperor Belos.

"I see. No matter… these people will see the true strength of the Medici family," said Vitale.

"Oh, I do like the confidence. Be sure you don't lose it once things get intense later on," said Emperor Belos.

"We'll keep that in mind. We won't let you down because no messes with the Medici family," said Cerebella.

"I don't care who they are or what they are. If they get in our way, we'll kill every last one of them and everyone they know!" said Lorenzo cruelly. "Then the Medici family will return to its prime form and everyone will fear the name of the Medicis!"

Time Passes...

A few days have passed and today Luz plans to watch a Grudgby game between Hexside and Glandus High. a few of her friends, Sora, Kirby, Eda, Luz, and King were enjoying their time at the Slayground. King and Kirby were playing in the Slayground while Eda, Luz, and Sora were resting. However, King believes he claimed the slide but Kirby and the other kids didn't mind what he was doing as long he was having fun. However, another child pushed King to the slide and landed on the ground.

"Eda!" King exclaimed as he runs to his friends and tells them what happened. "That monster took my throne," said King sadly.

"You mean the baby?" asked Eda.

"No, the usurper," answered King. "I want you to go over there and blow him up. Kaboom!"

"Kaboom!" said the Usurper in the back playing around in the Slayground. Eda unscrews Owlbert from her staff.

"Yeah, I'm not using Owlbert to blow up a five‐year‐old," said Eda as she removes Owlbert from her staff.

"He's got better things to do. Like this…" said Eda as she gently scratches Owlbert. Owlbert warbles adorably, he feels relaxed and satisfied. He looks so cute when he's relaxed.

"Aw, what a sweetie. How did you get him?" asked Luz.

"Get? I made Owlbert from the branch of an ancient tree," answered Eda.

"I see. That's interesting. It's kinda like Keyblades in a way. To be honest, my Keyblade came to me when I needed to protect myself from the Heartless." said Sora.

"Heartless? That's the first time I heard that. I'm assuming it's some kind of demon, right?" said Eda. "Do you mind explaining what they are? I'm curious what kind of enemies you faced from your previous adventures."

"You could say it like that," said Sora. "Heartless are mindless that are driven by instinct, preying on people and the world's hearts. Whenever I travel worlds, the Heartless are dressed based on the theme of those worlds. There is a bigger backstory about the Heartless but to be honest, it's a lot of information to remember for the Heartless." said Sora.

"Oof… you can say that again… Oh yeah, I just realized I haven't seen any of them in the Boiling Isles. Is there a reason why?" asked Luz.

"I'm not sure. I was wondering about the same thing since I came here. But only time will tell, who knows when they'll show up. If that happens, we gotta be ready for anything," answered Sora.

"What? Did you expect them to show up?" asked King.

"Yeah. Pretty much. But it's only a matter of time before they show up. Usually, Keyblade wielders like myself would encounter the Heartless more often when traveling to different worlds.

"Huh… That is interesting. So far, we haven't run into those weird little freaks," said Eda.

"But anyways, let's back to the interesting part about Owlber. So, you were saying you made Owlbert, right?" answered Sora.

"Oh, that's right. He's my palisman and we're bonded for life. I'd annihilate anyone who'd hurt him," said Eda strictly.

"Fine. Don't help. Revenge will taste all the sweeter if they fall by my hand alone." said King as he laughs.

"King, I know how dedicated you but… Oh?" said Sora.

King is confident to reclaim his throne from the Usurper. King left his guard down and didn't hear Usurper coming up behind him. Usurper pushed King and simply said tag.

"Tag, you're it!" Usurper laughs as he runs away, Eda tells Luz to get ready for some laughs because King is about to lose it.

"Oh no… Is he gonna lose it?" asked Sora.

"Yeah. Oh, man. Here we go. King's squeak of rage." answered Eda.

King grunts frustratingly then his grunts switched to an adorable squeal. King continues to squeal adorably and angrily, and Kirby is just relaxing and playing on the Slayground. Eda laughs at King's squealing. Sora chuckles at King's adorable yet bizarre squeal.

"He is like a little teakettle," said Eda.

"How does he make that noise?" asked Sora.

"I don't know but it's hilarious," answered Eda as she continues at King's squeal.

Owlbert is gently scratching himself with his right leg. Luz noticed there was a weird marking on Owlbert's foot.

"Hey, what's that?" asked Luz.

"That's his interlock. So he only fits under my staff. Every palisman has one." said Eda.

From Eda's perspective, the area suddenly went dark. Eda grows worried about her surroundings, and she called out Luz and Sora's names.

"Luz? Sora? Hello?" said Eda as she calls her friends.

"Eda?" said Luz worryingly.

"Eda, are you okay? Wake up!" Sora exclaimed.

Eda checked her surroundings to see if they were around but there were no sightings of them. Nothing but herself in a dark void.

"Guys!" Eda exclaimed.

"Eda! Eda! Wake up!" Luz yells at Eda to wake up. Eda finally wakes up from the odd dream, then Luz helps Eda. "Are you alright?"

"Eda, what just happened? You were just fine until suddenly you just collapsed," said Sora.

Eda shudders at what happened at that brief moment. She realizes the curse is worsening.

"What? Oh no. The curse. Hey, we have to get home. Now!" said Eda as she picks up her staff and left.

"King, Kirby, we have to go!" said Luz.

"Poyo?" said Kirby confusingly.

"Five more minutes Please," said King.

"Poyo!" said Kirby as he leaves and follows Luz.

"King!" Luz exclaimed.

"Come on, this is serious King," said Sora.

"Ah, man. This isn't over," said King confidently.

"Okay, let's play again real soon," said Usurper calmly.

"No, no. Keep those sticky hands away!" said King. Usurper walks up to King, hugging him. But King is not liking it. "Oh, no! He's touching me!" King screams in disgust.

Sora walks up to King, picks him up, and leaves the Slayground.

"Ugh… I had it! What happened?" asked King.

"It's Eda. It looks like the curse is getting worse for her," answered Sora.

"Oh… I see… Sorry about that earlier," said King slightly sadly.

"Is everything okay?" asked Sora.

"Yeah, I'm fine… It's just a lot of things have happened over the past weeks. Since you guys showed up." answered King.

"I know. To be honest, I can feel that too. All these people and their stories coming here to this world," said Sora.

"It's a lot. I know they're fictional stories in Luz's world. But I never thought those worlds would actually exist," said King.

"I agree. I went through many worlds. Especially getting invited to Super Smash Brothers. I got the chance to travel to other worlds as well," said Sora.

"Really? Oh! Have you met overlords or kings during your travels?" asked King.

"Yeah, I met a good handful of kings. Let's see… Um… There's Hades, the ruler of the Underworld. Zeus, King of Olympus. The Imperial Emperor of China. I also met many princesses. Even one of my childhood friends is a Princess."

"Really? How did you find that out?" asked King.

"Well, when I was trying to save her. I was fighting against Ansem, one of the people who were responsible for capturing the Princesses of Heart. There were seven Princesses of Heart, and all of their hearts were asleep. Kairi was one of them and her heart was asleep. What's even more bizarre was that Kairi's heart was inside of mine," answered Sora.

"Wha… Excuse me? Like her actual heart?" asked King.

"Oh! No. No. Not the actual heart. The heart is completely different than the actual heart." answered Sora. "Let me see… What was it again? Oh right. There are three parts to a person, the body, the soul, and the heart. So basically the heart has the memories, will, goals, and ambitions. The heart is either light or dark depending on the person. Wait, do you understand any of that?"

King gave Sora a blank stare. King was doing his best to understand this complicated information about the concept of Hearts.

"That is so confusing but interesting at the same time," said King. "Okay, enough about the Hearts nonsense. Let's get back to your friend. So, if you don't mind me asking… How did you get Kairi's heart out of you?" asked King.

"Oh. Simple. I used the Keyblade of Heart and impaled myself with it." answered Sora.

King's eyes widened in shock because he was not expecting that kind of answer. He didn't want to believe Sora at first but considering all the crazy events that occurred so far, King believed Sora's answer.

"You what?! H-How are you not dead?!" King exclaimed.

"Well… I kinda died but I came back as a Heartless and went after Kairi. Luckily she recognizes me, protected me, and brought me back to normal. I guess I got lucky there," answered Sora.

"No, my friend. That right there is the pure definition of "Plot armor," said King.

"Right… That's one way to look at it," said Sora. "Come on, we should catch up with the others."

"Okay, promise me that you'll tell me more about these rulers because I'm curious to learn about them.

"Hopefully, we'll have the chance to continue that topic," said Sora.

Sora and King catch up with the others. Luz, Eda, King, Sora, and Kirby headed back to the Owl house. As soon as they made it back. Eda went straight for the couch. Eda yawns exhaustingly and drops herself into the couch.

"I'll go get your elixir," said Luz.

"Don't worry about it. I'll get it myself in a bit," said Eda calmly.

"You sure? Luz and the others mention there are side effects besides you turning into the Owl Beast. Drowsiness, odd dreams, crippling your magic, sudden collapses, and… dismemberment," said Sora.

"He's right. Do you need me to stay home and take care of you?" asked Luz. She gasps in surprise after thinking of an interesting idea. "I could fit King and Kirby in a little doctor's outfit."

"Eh?" King was surprised by that idea.

"Poyo?" said Kirby unsurely.

"No one wants to see that," said Eda.

"I do," said Luz.

"Yeah, it'll be kinda bizarre plus I don't think that will fix the situation," said Sora.

"Look, I know how to take care of myself. I've had this curse longer than you've been alive," said Eda calmly.

So, how'd you get it?" asked Luz.

Eda grunts. Considering she has to repeat her answer.

"I don't know," answered Eda.

"You don't know?" asked Luz.

"How is that possible? Wouldn't you notice somebody cursing you in the first place?" asked Sora.

"Someone gave it to me. I don't know who and I don't care because I'm fine, all right? Anyway, don't you have plans with Tweedledum and Twerpledee?" asked Eda.

"Well, Willow, Gus, and I are going to the Grudgby game between Hexside and Glandus High," answered Luz.

"Since when are you into sports?" asked Eda.

Since I found a little something called "Hexside Pride." said Luz. She grunts at the thought of thinking of Hexside's rival. "To think that Glandus, whoever they are, would dare face us. But if you need me to stay..."

"Gross. Sympathy. Go! Go have fun at sport." said Eda uncaringly about any sympathy.

"Hooray! Hooray for sport! Hugs and kisses, King." said Luz as she kisses King's skull. "Mwah! Don't spend all night plotting revenge."

That drooly‐faced heathen will know my wrath." said King confidently.

"Well, Imma head out and meet up with Spider-Man. I need to help him with patrol around the city and find any leads about Martin Li's whereabouts," said Sora. "Get some good rest, Eda. I'll see you later."

Sora heads outside to explore Bonesborough. Miles and Gankes came downstairs to see what was going on in the living room. They find Eda resting on the couch.

"Hey, guys. Is everything alright?" asked Miles.

"Yeah, Eda is just tired. The curse is making her woozy," answered King.

"Oh yeah. Pete and the others told us about Eda's condition. Eda, are you sure you're alright? Pete told me this curse is very dangerous." said Miles worryingly.

"Yeah, yeah. Everything is fine. Look, I just want to rest and be left alone." said Eda.

"Understandable, considering the curse makes you exhausted. But wait…You won't turn into the Owl Beast while you're sleeping, right?" asked Ganke.

"There's a chance that could happen. If it does, good luck," answered Eda.

"Well, that's ominous," said Ganke worryingly.

"Oh, I have an idea. Luz went to Hexside to hang out with her little dorks for a sports game. Can you watch over Luz?" asked Eda.

"Oh. Sure we can do that. It sounds interesting. I wonder if the sports are the same back in our world." answered Ganke.

"Probably but most likely with a magic twist," said Miles. "Alright, we'll get going then. But Eda, be sure you take Elixir before you go to sleep. We don't want you going rampant while Ganke and I are out."

"I'll be fine. Now get going before you miss Luz and the other dorks," said Eda.

"She's right. Come on let's get going," said Miles as he and Ganke exited the Owl House and make their way to Hexside. Meanwhile, Eda was resting for a few minutes until she hears the door opening.

"Ugh… Who is it this time?" asked Eda.

"Oh, it's just Lilith," answered King.

"Lily?!" Eda exclaimed.

"Wrong Lilith," said Lilith.

"O-Oh... Right. I forgot your name is Lilith. It's kinda confusing," said Eda.

"Sorry if I'm bothering you right now. I wanted to see if you were doing okay," said Lilith.

"Oh… Yeah, just exhausted. This curse can make me exhausted," said Eda.

"Yeah, I noticed that you looked exhausted when you came back. Did something happen?" asked Lilith.

"I'm fine. I sorta passed out. It's just my curse messing with my head. It's just the usual that continues to bother me," answered Eda.

"Passed out? Eda, that's pretty concerning. Have you been dealing with this since you were young?" asked Lilith.

"Yeah, look if you're gonna ask me who did this to me? The answer is: I don't know who did this to me," answered Eda.

"I see. The others told me about your curse. You had that since you were a kid… I think I can relate to that," said Lilith.

"You do? Wait, Lilith, did you get your powers since you were a kid?" asked King.

"That's right. Sirens get their powers at a very young age. People don't give these abilities like it's a common thing. It happens to 6 people because only 6 Sirens can exist in one universe, in my universe. When I got my powers... I wasn't very welcome by most people. In fact, most people tried to kill me because Sirens are worth a lot of wealth." answered Lilith.

"Oh… That's right, I remember. Just like Angel when she got her powers when she was a kid. That bandit tried to sell her. I couldn't forget about that because it was so frustrating that an innocent kid had to go through that. Honestly, listening to that story was hard because nothing good ever happened to Angel. Also, I'm sorry you have to go through that. It must've been harsh growing up," said Eda sadly.

"Really? Sheesh… Here I thought I had it worse. I'm sorry you had to go through all that," said Eda.

"It's fine. In fact, it helped me prepare for the dangers and cruelty I was about to face in Pandora," said Lilith. "Not everyone grows up easy childhood."

"As much I want to disagree, I guess you're right about that," said Eda.

"But Eda… Do you hate it? Your curse?" asked Lilith.

"Yeah. it's always been a pain in the neck daily," answered Eda. "Why do you ask?"

"At first I hated my Siren abilities… They brought too much attention, too dangerous to my life. I used to hate myself because of how much my Siren abilities brought unnecessary attention to me and my friends. But as time went on, I've gain a better understanding of these powers. I wouldn't be here or make it this far thanks to this."

"Why are you telling me all this?" asked Eda. "I'm not trying to be rude or anything like that. But is there a reason for all this?"
"Yes, there is. Well, that look on your face… I can tell you want to get away from it. Fighting a way to get out of it. Which I can't blame you," said Lilith. "Look, all I'm saying is that don't hate yourself because you have that curse. It may have ruined parts of your life but that story of your curse is still being told. It's really up to you how you decide the story for your curse. When I got my powers, I did what was best for myself and everyone around me. If I can do that, you can too… Heh… I probably sound silly after saying all that. Honestly, I don't why I'm saying this in the first place."

Eda was surprised and didn't what to say about Lilith's statement. Despite gaining these powers and too much attention. However, she still continues forward with her life.

"No… It didn't sound silly at all… Honestly, I wasn't expecting all that. To be honest, I never saw it like that. But who knows what will happen to my curse? Maybe it stays or goes away. Only I can make the decision. Hey, Lilith, I appreciate that. Thanks," said Eda.

"Of course. I was just giving my perspective about having powers as a young kid. So, can I ask something? What do you think about all this?" asked Lilith.

"Honestly… It's hard… I had bad days and it was… It was bad… It was really bad," said Eda weakly.

"I can say the same thing as well. Hey, for now. Try to get some sleep, I didn't want to bother you too much. I'm just saying that to make sure you don't blame yourself," said Lilith.

"No, it's fine. I appreciate you're looking out for me," said Eda.

"Yeah, I appreciate for talking to Eda for a moment, Lilith," said King gratefully. "Honestly, I think she needed that after what happened for the past few weeks."

"Sure thing, King. Alright, I'll be outside. Let me know if you need something. Get some rest, killer," said Lilith happily.

Lilith exits the Owl House. Eda thought it would be best to rest in her bedroom to gain proper rest.

"Alright, King. I'll be in my room," said Eda.

"Okay, get some rest," said King as he continues scribbling on the piece of paper.

Eda heads to her room and went to her bed. No interruptions to disturb the Owl Lady in her rest. Eda was resting but she thinking about what Lilith said to her. A difficult part not to do is hate yourself as a person. All the memories of agony and unfortunate bad days of Eda the Owl Lady. Whether it involves herself or her loved ones.

"Maybe, Lilith is right. I shouldn't hate myself… But honestly, that's really hard to stop me from hating myself," said Eda weakly.

Time Passes…

Luz headed to hexside. Luz also invited Sarge and Simmons.

"Nice of you guys to be coming along to watch the game. But wait, what was the reason that you guys wanted to come along?" asked Luz.

"Oh, Sarge was interested and wanted to check it out because… Well," answered Simmons.

"Football! Yeah!" said Sarge excitingly.

"Hexside is gonna wreck your side. Huh, no. Hexside is the best side on the west side." said Luz confidently.

The dragon bus growls and bites at her. Luz yelped but luckily she didn't get hurt by the dragon bus.

"Ah! Friends," said Luz as she greets her closest friends.

"Whoo‐hoo!" Willow and Luz cheer together in excitement.

"Wow. So much dedication for this whole thing," said Simmons. "Even though you recently enrolled for Hexside."

"Well, Luz is a young kid. Kids tend to have a lot of energy and excitement when it comes to games and sports," said Sarge.

"Hello Willow, Gus," said Sarge.

"Hey guys, it's been a little while," said Simmons.

"Hi, Simmons. Yeah, things have been a little busy," said Willow.

"Hi, guys. I'm glad you could join us to watch the grudgby game," said Gus. His attention switches to Miles and Ganke heading to their position. "Oh, who are you these guys?"

"Hm?" Simmons turned around to see Miles and Ganke arriving in time to meet with them. "Oh hey, it's those two."

"Hey, Luz!" said Miles.

"Guys? what are you two doing here?" asked Luz.

"Eda asked us to watch over you. She wanted to make sure you're safe while having fun," answered Ganke.

"Oh, new friends of your Luz?" asked Gus.

"Oh right. Gus, this is Ganke, and… I'm sorry what was your name again?" asked Willow.

"It's Miles. Miles Morales. Yeah, we haven't met before. Well, kinda." said Miles.

Willow remembers meeting with Ganke, but he was with Spider-Man. Willow finally realized Miles is the young Spider-Man. Willow can tell by his voice.

"Oh, I get it. So that was you," said Willow.

"Get what?" asked Miles.

"I know it's you. You know," said Willow as she does the Spider-Man gesture.

"Your voice sounded the same. So it was pretty obvious. Don't worry I won't tell anyone." said Willow calmly.

"Wow… Honestly, I'm surprised. Not many could tell Miles was Spider-Man, even speaking normally. But only one person who was able to figure out Miles was Spider-Man," said Ganke.

"Really? Who was it?" asked Gus.

"I'll save that story for another. Trust me, it's an interesting story," answered Miles.

"Oh, interesting. I like it," said Gus. "I'll be sure to ask that another time. So, are you guys ready for this?"

"Yes, we are!" said Luz excitingly.

"Game day roar!" Gus roars in excitement.

"Happy game day, fellow, uh... Are we Hexidians? Hexies?" asked Luz. She gasps after thinking of another interesting name for Hexside grudgby time. "Hexoleos?"

"Actually, most people call us winners," answered Willow.

"Grudgby games are the best. The players go through these action‐packed trials. And the audience gets to wave flags. Look, I practiced," said Gus as he pulls out two flags

Gus does a little dance to show he was practicing. Luz noticed she wasn't anything related to Hexside.

"Is it weird that I'm not wearing anything Hexside?" asked Luz.

"Um, it's weirder that you're wearing Glandus colors," answered Willow.

"Well to be honest Willow. That's what Luz mostly wears every day. She's pretty iconic with it," said Miles.

A giant boy walks by and messes with Luz because he thinks she is supporting the Glandus team.

"Get ready to be creamed, Glandus nerd," said the Giant Hexside student mockingly.

"Hey! I'm a Hexside nerd. Gotta change out of this shirt. Where can I get a Hexside one?" asked Luz.

"That is one big dude. Besides that, that's usual Luz's casual outfit," said Ganke.

"Huh… It's kinda odd that this is the first time we're meeting this guy," said Simmons. "Like he's so big and yet we never see this guy anywhere."

"Anyways. I know. There's a lost‐and‐found box in the cafeteria." said Gus.

"Ah! The lost‐and‐found. Where mouthguards go to retire." said Luz.

"You go get what you need Luz. We'll be waiting for you," said Simmons.

"Okay. I'll be right back guys," said Luz as she heads inside the school and headed to the cafeteria to find the lost and found. While the others are waiting for Luz, Sarge asked Willow a question regarding their somewhat first encounter.

"Hey, Willow," said Sarge.

"Yeah?" said Willow.

"I wanted to ask you something… Are you still mad at me for hitting you in the head back at the Convention?" asked Sarge.

"Uh… Not really? Oh, that's right. I didn't tell anyone about this. But to be honest, I don't remember that much about when I was corrupted. I only remember getting mad and I just exploded," answered Willow. "When I woke up, I had a massive headache."

"I see. I wanted to ask because I felt bad knowing you're being mind controlled and giving a concussion," said Sarge.

"I understand that but somebody had to stop from causing more collateral damage. So, don't feel bad for what happened," said Willow.

"Oh good. That's good to know. Hey, at least I know now. It makes me feel better knowing you're doing okay," said Sarge relievedly.

"That's right… Pete mention Martin corrupted you. I'm sorry that happened to you, Willow," said Miles.

"Oh, that's right. You and Spider-Man know who he is. Have you ever met Martin before?" asked Gus.

"In some way, you could say that. But it's complicated. Hey, we'll talk about that later." answered Miles.

"Hm? Hey!" Simmons exclaimed. The others noticed the dragon bus driver is heading off to his destination. "We were waiting for someone. Give us a minute."

"Sorry, we can't wait any longer. We need to be there to prep for the game," said the Dragon Bus driver.

"Really? Oh come on," said Simmons weakly.

"Go Hexside!" said Luz jumping in the air and performing the splits by accident. Everyone saw that and felt that. A bone crack can be heard. Even Luz is surprised that this is the first time ever she did the splits. "Well, I never did that before."

"Ugh. Luz, are you okay?" asked Miles. "I think I heard your bone crack."

"I'm okay. Uh, where is everyone?" asked Luz.

"Yeah about that," said Simmons as he points at the dragon bus that growled and flies away.

"Hexside rules!" said the Large jock Hexside student.

"Oh, no! Come back! Why didn't you guys board the bus?" asked Luz.

"We weren't going to leave you behind," answered Willow.

"I was," said Gus without any hesitation to leaving his friends behind just to watch the Grudgby match.

"Gus!" Willow exclaimed.

"Dude, seriously?" asked Simmons.

"Yeah, not cool, man," said Sarge.

"Can we walk to Glandus?" asked Luz.

"We'd never make it in time. Glandus is…" Gus rolls his flags and points with them. "All the way out in the middle of the island."

"He's right. If we tried to walk all the way over there, the game will be over by then," said Sarge. Luz scoffs after hearing that answer.

"Typical Glandus," said Luz.

"For me, I can probably reach it in a few minutes. I can carry people but I can carry a few of you guys," said Miles.

"I have an idea. What if use the warthog?" asked Simmons.

"Simmons we can't. Carolina told us it would bring too much attention. Plus, she worries we might damage it. I can't blame her for having that thought considering the warthog went through a lot of problems in the past," answered Sarge.

"Aw. Sorry about that guys," said Simmons.

"It's okay, Simmons. And my parents are working, otherwise, I'd see if they could give us a ride on their staff," said Willow.

"A staff... because staffs fly. Of course. I can get us a staff." said Luz.

"You can?" asked Gus.

"Yes, come on," answered Luz.

"Wait, Luz. Are you sure this is gonna work?" asked Ganke. "Because all of us can't ride a single staff."

"Oh wait, I just remembered. The Vault Hunters installed a machine called the Catch-A-Ride. We can use that," said Simmons.

"See? Even they got it covered. So, let's get going. The game isn't going to wait for us," said Luz as she and the group went back to Owl House.

Back to the Owl house. King is heading to Eda's room to tell her some good news about his revenge against the kid who messed with him. King opens the door.

"Eda! Great news. I thought of the perfect way to get revenge on that usurper." said King as he turns the paper and shows a single word on it. Saying "Fire?" He's probably thinking of casting a fire spell against the kid. King continues his explanation.

"Now, don't be put off by the complicated premise. I'll break it down for you in small pieces," said King as he finishes his explanation of his revenge but something caught him off guard. "Huh?" King looks at Eda. King realizes that Eda is in her Owl Beast form. Eda growls at King. King screams in fear witnessing Eda in Owl Beast form and falls down.

"Owl Beast!" King screams. "Stay back!"

Eda listens to King, she stops and steps away from him. King was surprised to see this interesting effect of Eda's curse. Eda continues to growl.

"Did you just listen to me?" asked King. Uh, come here. Sit."

Eda takes a step forward and snorts. King notices something interesting in both of her eyes. Her left eye is pitched black and her right eye looks completely normal. It seems the curse hasn't fully taken over her. But it seems she's not feral at the moment. King was fascinated by this because this was the first time Eda transformed into the Owl Lady but he can command her."

"Oh, this is an interesting development. Eda is only partially transformed which means she's totally suggestible," said King as he chuckles. Knowing he can use this to his advantage. "Yes. Yes! I think this will do nicely. Forget fire. I've got a greater force to unleash. You! You're going to help me regain my throne. I mean, if that's okay with you. Right?"

Eda's response was a simple growl.

"I'll take that weird grumble as a yes," said King.

King went to grab a single bottle of Eda's elixir and bag to keep it safe in case Eda loses control. This is not gonna end well.

"I'm just gonna grab a little bottle of elixir in case you go rogue on me," said King as he grabs a full bottle of elixir and a bag. Many empty bottles fell off the bottle.

"Now, to destiny's battlefield: the playground!" said King.

"King, are you home?" asked Luz.

Eda growls after hearing Luz's voice. However, King calms Eda from going aggressive.

"What? Sit. Stay." said King as he went outside of Eda's room and closed the door so Luz can't see Eda.

In the bathroom, Miles put on his Spider-Suit, exited the bathroom, and headed outside. He sees Simmons and Sarge talking to Brick and Mordecai.

"Hope you guys don't mind that we're borrowing this," said Sarge.

"Sure thing. But if you don't mind, can we come along with you guys to watch this Grudgby game?" asked Brick. "I'm curious about the sports in this world.

"Sure thing. But are you sure you're friends will be okay without the Catch-A-Ride?" asked Simmons.

"Yeah, it's fine. The Catch-A-Ride can bring them more rides," answered Mordecai. "Even if they don't have rides, they still have their legs."

"That's right. Without cars, they can still get around. In fact, it's kinda scary how they get around." said Brick.

The Catch-A-Ride is a station that has terminals that provide various transportation digistructed vehicles. It is a common business that was founded by a mechanic named Scooter. A good man who served the Crimson Raiders and a good friend to the Vault Hunters.

"Hey, guys, is the car ready?" asked Ganke.

"Yeah. We're just waiting for you guys," answered Brick. "Yo Spider-Slab. I want to ask you something."

"Spider-Slab? That's a new one," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"It's not an insult or anything like that," said Brick. "I'll usually call my friends that pretty often."

"Oh, I see. So what is it that you want to ask?" asked Spider-Man/Miles.

"I wanted to ask about the type of bad guys you fought when Peter or Spider-Man was out for the holidays. He told me you went through some crazy shit when he was gone," answered Brick. "What were they like?"

"Oh. That's a good question. There were kinds of enemies I went up against. Thugs, prisoners," answered Spider-Man/Miles.

"Prisoners? How did you end up fighting prisoners?" asked Brick.

"Oh, that… Well, when Peter and I were watching over the transportation for the Raft prisoners. One supervillain, Rhino tried to get out of his cell. I tried to stop it but I made it worse. Which caused a chain reaction and all of the convicts got out of the city. Luckily I was able to deal with them. Since they give up their position pretty easily," answered Spider-Man/Miles.

"Cool. So, those were basic ass enemies. Peter told me you fight guys who had shields, swords, and giant fists. Other guys who had shields that shoot lasers." said Brick.

"Oh, you mean the Underground and Roxxon. Let me start with the Underground. Most of the members were young teenagers but the weapons they had were dangerous. Made them more challenging than convicts."

"Man, that does sound challenging," said Brick. "You mention they were punk-ass little teens. How the hell do those guys get those weapons anyways?"

"Well, the Underground never had them in the first place. That wasn't until the Tinkerer showed up. Her real name is Phin Mason. She's an old friend of mine," answered Spider-Man/Miles.

"Your friend was involved with this? Damn, how did you find out about that?" asked Mordecai.

"When I was trying to stop her from stealing NuForm. A clean energy substance that Roxxon was trying to recreate," answered Spider-Man/Miles.

"Roxxon. So, what was Roxxon's part in all this?" asked Brick.

"Well, Roxxon wasn't actually there to help. Instead, they added me to their target list because I destroyed their whole supply of NuForm," answered Spider-Man/Miles. "They had quite the arsenal to counter my abilities but it wasn't enough to take me down."

"Heh. Thanks. I appreciate the comment," said Spider-Man/Miles. "So, is there any question you wanted to ask?"

"Hm… Oh, your friend the Tinkerer. What happened to her?" asked Brick. "Knowing you were good friends with her. I'm assuming it wasn't simple to go up against your friend."

Spider-Man/Miles paused for a moment after hearing that question. He was a bit hesitant to answer that question. Brick noticed the sudden pause after asking that question.

"That pause right there… Something bad happened to her, right?" asked Brick. "Spider-Slab, it's up to you to answer that question."

"No. I can answer this," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Are you sure, Miles?" asked Ganke. "That's a question that is really heavy to answer."

"I know. But eventually, I was gonna talk about this again," answered Spider-Man/Miles. "So, Brick… To answer your question, she's gone. She was trying to stop Roxxon by using NuForm but she wasn't careful enough She made a mistake and went to go fix it but it meant losing her life. To save people from her mistake and stop Roxxon and their crimes."

"Damn… Hey, I'm sorry for what happened to your friend. We can't be all winners and we can't save everyone. At least you honored her wish, that's what matters. She knows you're a good friend and a powerful badass." said Brick kindly.

"Wow. Thank you, Brick. I appreciate the comfort," said Spider-Man/Miles happily.

"Sure thing, Spider-Slab," said Brick kindly. "Alright, it's time to turn down the little sadness in the area."

"Okay. I think Luz is almost ready… Wait, has Luz ever used a staff before?" asked Mordecai.

"Um… I'm not sure. I haven't got the chance to ask her about the process of her magic skills," answered Ganke.

"Guys, I'm ready," said Luz.

"Oh, there she is," said Ganke.

They see Luz prepped for the trip to Glandus High.

"To Glandus High," said Luz.

Luz raises Eda's staff, the staff bonks into the wall. Waking up Owlbert in the process and he hoots.

"Oh! Sorry, Owlbert. It's okay. We're just on our way to help some friends." said Luz.

"Ooh!" Willow and Luz awe by Owlbert.

"Who's ready to board Air Luz?" asked Luz. She, Willow, and Gus boarded the staff. However, she realized only three people can board a staff.

"I think the staff can only carry three people," said Luz.

"Hey don't worry, we have the Catch-A-Ride. We'll follow you along the way," said Sarge.

"We have the Catch-A-Ride. Not ready to swing yet. Remember last time?" asked Ganke.

"Oh right. Man brings back bad memories. But hey at least we have the Catch-A-Ride to make the trip simpler," answered Spider-Man/Miles.

"Feel that power‐to‐weight ratio," said Willow.

"Boys, prepare to fly," said Gus.

"Next stop, Glandus High. Let's go," said Luz. The staff started rising in the air.

"Step on it, Owlbert," said Luz as she taps the staff and they headed off. Spider-Man/Miles, Ganke, Mordecai, Simmons, and Sarge got on the Catch-A-Ride vehicle. The vehicle is called the Bandit Technical and this vehicle can carry a large group of people. Spider-Man/Miles swings through the forest and finds Luz, Gus, and Willow fine at the moment. However, he noticed Luz is having a difficult time controlling the staff.

"Guys? Guys! Hang on!" Spider-Man/Miles exclaimed.

Spider-Man/Miles is trying to catch up with them. Luz, Gus, and Willow scream in fear as they kept bumping tree after tree. They crashed into a large tree. Luz, Gus, and Willow fell down but Spider-Man/Miles shoots webs by the trees to create a net to prevent the kids from falling. However, Owlbert fell to the ground and landed on his head. Leaving a crack on top of his head. Miles catches up with them.

"Guys! Are you okay?" asked Spider-Man/Miles.

"We're fine. Thanks for the save," answered Willow.

"Huh… You know, I was curious how sticky this web was. Man, this stuff is pretty impressive," said Gus.

"Sure thing," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Uh, guys… Where's Owlbert?" asked Luz.

Spider-Man/Miles looked around the web net but he wasn't around the web. He hears a hoot from below. Luz and Spider-Man/Miles looked down and find Owlbert on the ground.

"Here, let me help," said Spider-Man/Miles as he removes them from the web net. He carefully helps them down to the ground. They notice Owlbert got hurt in the crash. Owlbert removes himself from the staff and flies away deep into the forest.

"Oh, no. Oh, no, no, no! Owlbert, come back!" said Luz as she tries to tell Owlbert to come back.

"Owlbert! Wait!" Spider-Man/Miles exclaimed.

"Oh no… No. This is my fault." said Luz.
Brick stopped the vehicle Ganke, Sarge, Simmons, Mordecai, and Brick exited the vehicle and went to go check on the others.

"What the hell happened?" asked Brick.

"Are you okay guys?" asked Ganke.

"We're fine but Owlbert got hurt and he flew away," answered Spider-Man/Miles.

"What?! Where did he go?" asked Simmons.

"He went that way and Luz, this wasn't your fault. It was an accident," answered Spider-Man/Miles. "But there's one thing I don't get. Why did he fly away though?" asked Miles.

"Based on what you told me. I pretty much have a good idea why he left," answered Mordecai.

"What is it?" asked Luz.

"You broke his trust. Owlbert may be a palisman but he's also a living creature. You have treated him carefully and respectfully. Well, if you don't. The consequences are not that great," answered Mordecai.

"I-I'm sorry I thought I could handle this," said Luz weakly.

"You weren't careful… If I can make a guess. This is the first time using magic staff, Isn't it?" asked Mordecai.

"Y-Yeah… It is," said Luz sadly.

"Luz… That's dangerous. Why didn't tell us about this?" asked Mordecai.

"Honestly, I wanted to try to see if I can use this staff. I thought I could handle it," answered Luz.

"What? Hasn't Eda been teaching you about the magic stuff in this world?" asked Brick.

"Well… Not so much about it," answered Luz.

"Seriously," said Sarge.

"Wow. Well, she sucks at it. No offense, Luz," said Brick.

"Honestly… Yeah. But it's better than nothing. Every once in a while I do learn something new from her. So I guess that's okay," said Luz.

"Like honestly. Does she even try?" asked Sarge.

"Look, we'll talk about this later. We need to catch up and find Owlbert," said Mordecai. "He couldn't go that far."

"He's right. It's okay, you made a mistake," said Willow calmly.

Everyone went to the forest. Chasing after Owlbert.

"Owlbert!" said Luz as she calls Owlbert's name.

"Owlbert!" said Ganke.

"Come back, little guy. It's okay. Damn, there's no way he couldn't go that far," said Simmons.

"This creepy ass place is reminding me that one level in Bunkers and Badasses," said Brick. "Kinda boring I don't get to punch something."

Gus and Willow were lightly exhausted. Gus was surprised by Luz and the other's stamina.

"Man, humans can run. Must be their dorsal fins," said Gus.

"Is this really the best time? Plus, we don't have dorsal fins. All fishes have those." said Simmons. "Where did you even get that kind of information?"

"Some theories about comic books of stories about humans having dorsal fins," answered Gus.

"Yeah, that theory right there is false," said Simmons. "All humans don't have dorsal fins. Unless you can think of the other possibilities."

"So it is true then. But I'm assuming there is something else, right?" said Gus.

"Well, to be honest, it's a complex answer considering the existence of the multiverse. So there might be different universes where mermaids and humans with fishlike features exist out there.

"He went through those trees. Come on," said Luz.

"We have to be careful. It's really easy to get lost in this part of the forest," said Willow.

"This place is giving me goosebumps," said Ganke. "Okay, he knows this place is dangerous but I think he knows there's an area that keeps the danger out."

"Probably but still. This is Eda's Palisman, Willow. She'll kill me if we don't get it back. Let's go." said Luz worryingly.

They went right in front of the entrance of the cave. The cave is filled with webs, bones, and old trees.

"Wow. I keep stepping on a lot of crunchy twigs," said Willow.

"Those are bones, Willow," said Luz.

"Not if I never look down," said Willow as she smiles and continues to look forward.

"Yeah, it's best not to look down," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"I hope nothing scary lives here," said Simmons. "Because that would be really bad."

"Dude! Don't jinx it," said Ganke.

"Yeah. I'm hoping we can go the simpler way instead of the long way," said Mordecai.

"Hello? Are you there, Owlbert?" asked Sarge.

"This isn't any kind of forest I'm used to," said Luz.

"That's because this isn't a forest," said Willow

Everyone looked down to see three bat babies, they chirped and approached the group. Luz remembers them and has a good feeling that this could be the Bat queen's nest.

"It's a nest," said Willow worryingly.

"Cute but creepy," said Ganke. "Oh wait. Didn't Eda mention that one time she had to babysit a bunch of bats?"

"That's right. I remember the Bat Queen's babies," said Luz.

"Oh yeah, these guys. Eda said they were a nightmare to deal with. She also mentioned they were cute once they were asleep." said Sarge. "Oh… Son of a bi-"

The Bat babies screech against the group.

"Wait. The Bat Queen?" said Gus worryingly as he backs away.

"I think I'd rather take my chances with Eda," said Willow as she backs away.

"Wait seriously? That was fast of you to give up," said Simmons.

"You don't understand you guys. Bat Queen isn't someone you shouldn't underestimate," said Willow.

"The Bat Queen? Who is she?" asked Ganke.

"One of the wisest witches in the Boiling Isles. Also, a very scary person to come across," answered Willow.

"Guys, come on. We can't just leave Owlbert, we need to let him know that he can trust us," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Look, I know this place is scary. But we gotta get passed this. I literally met Eda a few days ago and I can tell she's a woman that does not like losing things," said Brick.

"Uh, we're looking for a little owl, and… There he is," said Luz.

Everyone sees Owlbert standing behind the Bat Queen's babies. Spider-Man/Miles noticed Owlbert backed away.

"Owlbert, thank goodness you're okay. Come here, buddy. Time to go home." said Luz.

Spider-Man/Miles can tell Owlbert doesn't want to go back with Luz and the others. He advised Luz about the situation.

"Uh. Luz. I think Owlbert doesn't want to leave." said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Huh? But that can't be true, though," said Luz.

"I think Mordecai was right. Owlbert doesn't trust you," said Ganke.

Spider-Senses are tingling. Something is coming. The others were startled by large thumping. A large foot emerges from the shadows and walks in front of Owlbert. The giant figure reveals to be Bat Queen and she hisses, indicating she is not happy at the moment.

"Oh shit," said Sarge, worryingly.

"Hello, small humans," said Bat Queen menacingly.

"Oh man," said Spider-Man/Miles worryingly. "Uh, Luz. How worried should we be?"

Meanwhile, back at the Slayground. King went to the Slayground with the Eda in her Owl Beast form. The kids continue playing in the playground. One is playing in the sandbox, making a sand castle. Suddenly a loud thump and shake, caused the sand castle to crumble. The blonde child turns around to see King riding Eda the owl beast on a rooftop. King is wearing a small box, but he drew armor on the box. He was also holding a red flag, a symbol of his face.

"Ahem!" King clears his throat to prepare for a speech. "Listen carefully. You all have two choices. Grovel or" Eda interrupts King by screeching. The kids are afraid of Eda's screeching and terrifying form.

"Ah! A monster." said the kid as he and the other children flees away. King was surprised by this but wasn't complaining.

"Good enough," said King. "Whoa!" Eda jumps off the roof.

"Run! Despair!" said King menacingly but adorably.

Eda runs around the slayground, scaring away the children. The Usurper, the child who messed with King is still on the slide, he whimpers in fear.

"Your time has ended. Mine begins," said King.

The Usurper cries as he uses the slide to escape and runs away from those two. King won and he reclaimed his throne.

"Not so tough now, you spongy hatchlings," said King mockingly. "I will eat you."

Eda growls and bows down for King, so he can get down. King walks up to the slide and climbs it.

"All who stood in my way are gone," said King. "I declare myself despotic ruler of this land. Nothing can stop the almighty…"King's speech got interrupted by a loud crunch noise. He looks down to see what was the sound. "Huh? Hmm?" Eda eating the left side of the slide. "Hey. Whoa, whoa! No eating the throne. Noooo!"

King commands Eda to stop eating his throne. Eda is drooling and couldn't control her hunger, she munches the slide again. This infuriates King.

"Stop that!" King exclaimed.

Earlier…

Earlier before King took Eda to slayground. In the Owl house, while King is getting ready to invade the slayground to reclaim his throne. King opens the door of Eda's room. He is planning his revenge and reclaiming his throne.

"And now revenge. Right, Owl Eda?" asked King as looks at Owl Eda eating a chair. It seems she is enjoying eating the chair. King chuckles at this."I'm feeling confident about this plan."

King prepared for his plan to reclaim his throne and somehow King was able to find a way to sneak away from the others without getting caught by going through the back door of the Owl House. However, one person saw them sneak away. That was Kirby, he saw them leave. Kirby went back to Eda's room, to see what happened. He's very confused and worried. He thinks that's Eda, well throughout everyone, Kirby is the first one who has seen Eda in Owl Beast form. Kirby hears a meow and turns to see Dusty.

"Poyo?" said Kirby.

"Kirby? What are you doing here?" asked Kat.

"Poyo!" answered Kirby as he pointed at Eda's room. Kat definitely noticed the chair is completely destroyed. A bunch of bite marks, and saliva around the chair. Dusty saw a few feathers, Dusty meowed to get Kat and Kirby's attention. Kat grabs one of the feathers, she realizes Eda has turned into the Owl beast.

"No… Eda must've turned into the Owl Beast," said Kat. "Kirby, did you see where they went?"

Kirby was trying to think of an answer. Until he saw King's drawings on the floor.

"The Slayground? Oh! That weird-looking playground. Hm? It looks like King wanted to… Get revenge against the Usurper?" asked Kat. "I'm gonna guess that's just a random kid that King didn't like."

"Poyo?" asked Kirby.

"Well, this is King we're talking about. We know how he is whenever someone puts him in a bad mood," answered Kat. "Come on Kirby, we need to go find them before they get themselves in trouble."

Kat, Dusty, and Kirby quickly headed to the Slayground and find King riding Owl Beast Eda, scaring off the kids. They are getting worried and have to find a way to stop this before something bad happens.

Back to Luz and the others, everyone is a bit spooked to see the Bat Queen.

"Awesome! Finally, something I can punch," said Brick excitedly.

"Brick… Really?" asked Mordecai.

"Ugh… We'll… Talk," said Brick. "Just do it before I change my mind."

The Bat Queen hisses at the group. She finds the group very unpleasant and nothing but a nuisance.

"It's the…" said Willow worryingly.

"Bat Queen. I know. We kinda babysat her kids once. Don't worry. I got this. Hiya, BQ. My, your hair is looking greasy. And your kids," said Luz as she chuckles at the appearance of the bat babies. "They're as hideous as ever."

"Really? Did you really have to say that?" asked Spider-Man/Miles.

"Wow… Who starts a conversation like that?" asked Brick. "Like I know she was being honest but didn't have to say that."

"You know, that could've gone worse," said Gus.

Bat Queen didn't like that, Sarge tells Luz that she needs to take this seriously.

"Luz, come on, try not to piss her off," said Sarge. "Because she's getting close to losing it."

The Bat Queen growls at Luz for her choice of words for describing her children. Luz chuckles nervously at the Bat Queen's anger.

"Okay. I can do this... So... Owlbert ran away and I need to get him back. I'm just gonna grab him and we'll be on our way," said Luz as she was about to get Owlbert.

However, The Bat Queen stops Luz from getting closer. Telling her that Owlbert isn't coming back due to what happened earlier.

"To be careless with a staff, it's very serious. I protect him." said the Bat Queen strictly.

"And thank you for that, uh, but he belongs to Eda, the Owl Lady. And you owe her a favor, remember?" asked Luz.

"Owl Lady is careless. Her staff left her sight. Taken by human who steals, hurts, frightens…" said the Bat Queen.

"Huh?" Luz was confused by the Bat Queen's words about Owlbert's condition.

"He told me all." said the Bat Queen as she and Owlbert's eyes started to glow, showing that Owlbert told her what happened in the accident.

"Look, we're sorry. We didn't mean this to happen. It was an accident. Owlbert, please come back," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Owlbert, I never meant to hurt you," said Luz as she kneels. "Please trust me."

"It doesn't matter if it was an accident or not. Owlbert needs to know if we can be trusted," said Mordecai.

"Is there a way we can fix this?" asked Sarge.

Luz leans down for Owlbert, but Owlbert backs up and flies up to The Bat Queen's head. Their eyes glowed, it seems Owlbert told the Bat Queen something.

"Trust must be earned…" said the Bat Queen as she and her children fly to her nest, there's a large pile of treasure surrounding the nest. "...through trials!" As soon as she said that, fire bursts from the ground. Making the scenery more intense.

"Trials?" said Gus as happily waves his flags.

"I had a feeling this wasn't gonna be simple," said Mordecai.

"Can't we just punch her?" asked Brick. "Oh… That was a dumb question, was it?"

"Yes, it was. Brick. Look, we can't be violent on this one. If we do that, Owlbert is definitely not gonna appreciate that. We gotta listen to what the Bat Queen has to say," said Mordecai.

"Mordecai is right. We have to take our time on this," said Ganke. "Looks like we're gonna miss the game after done with this."

"It's fine. There'll be a next time," said Sarge.

"Guys, the Bat Queen is well‐known for her impossible trials. I've never heard of anyone winning against her," said Willow.

"We can't just leave Owlbert. Eda will kill us. I know you guys are afraid of the Bat Queen but we have to do this. For Owlbert and Eda," said Simmons.

"Simmons is right. We have to get Owlbert back. We accept your challenge." said Luz.

"And we'll be right there with you," said Willow.

"Let the flags raise you up," said Gus.

Spider senses are tingling but Spider-Man/Miles couldn't dodge it in time. The Bat Queen cast a spell, webbing everyone, except for Luz.

"Hey what the hell?!" Brick exclaimed.

"Hey!" Gus exclaimed.

"What?" said Willow.

"Hey! What are you doing?!" Sarge exclaimed.

"Damn… I guess she wants this to be fair and square," said Mordecai. "Luz, I think you're on your own."

"What?!" Luz exclaimed.

"No helpsies. Now, let the trials begin." said the Bat Queen.

"Why not? Isn't that a bit unfair?" asked Spider-Man/Miles.

"Wait... I know why she is not letting us help. It's probably because Luz made the idea of taking Eda's staff. She's responsible for this meaning the Bat Queen is making Luz fix this by herself." said Ganke.

"That's right. Whenever someone makes a mistake, they have to be responsible to fix it," said Mordecai. "Luz, just stay calm alright? You can do this."

"Y-You're right. Okay…" said Luz as she deeply composes herself. Spider-Man/Miles and Brick could break free easily but Ganke could be right.

"Hey Brick, do you think you can break out of the web?" asked Spider-Man/Miles quietly.

"Look who you are talking to. This web stuff is basically a rope to me," said Brick. "So, I can just snap it in a sec."

"Okay, if things get outta hand. We make our move. You got it?" asked Spider-Man/Miles.

"Loud and clear," answered Brick. "Luz, good luck on this."

The first trial begins, and The Bat Queen announces the first trial.

"You got this Luz. We believe in you," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Go Luz!" said Sarge and Simmons.

"Thank you guys," said Luz gratefully.

"Milk the spider demon." said the Bat Queen.

"E-Excuse me?" asked Brick.

"The what?" asked Spider-Man/Miles.

The Spider demon walks up to Luz. The spider demon has an udder, while Luz has a bucket. Luz is disgusted by this, she looks at Owlbert, he hoots and tilted his head. Even though this is disgusting but Luz has to do this for Owlbert.

"Ok, that might be the weirdest shit I've ever seen," said Sarge.

"Naw… This stupidest trial I have ever seen," said Brick.

"All right. Come here, pal. Let's do this." said Luz

The spider demon squeals and runs away from Luz. She chases after the spider demon.

"If you run you'll just make this harder for yourself," said Luz as she continues to chase after the spider demon.

"Man, I'm glad the spider that bit me and didn't give udders because I might kill myself if I had that," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Well, there is the multiverse. So…" said Ganke.

"Nope. I don't wanna imagine it," said Spider-Man/Miles.

Luz completes the first trial. The next trial begins.

Time Passes…

Luz continues the trials that were offered by the Bat Queen. The second trial was removing the bee's nest, the third trial was cleaning the Bat Queen's babies. During her struggles to surpass these trials, she acknowledges she has to do this alone because she was selfish and her selfishness hurt Owlbert. She has to fix this by herself so Owlbert can trust her again.

Back to King and Eda. She is eating a swing set seat. It looks like she's enjoying eating it.

"No, no! Bad Eda! You are my beast and I control you." said King. However, Eda continues eating parts of the slide. "Hey!" King kicks Eda, this makes her angry at him. King realizes that was a bad idea. He yelps in fear. "What was I thinking? I'm such a fool. I'm such a…" King bumps into the bag, he remembers he brought one bottle of an elixir. He grabs the elixir. "...genius!" King throws the elixir at Eda's mouth, Eda swallows the whole bottle of the elixir and spits out the lid of the bottle.

"Great. Now, change back to Eda," said King. However, nothing happened. Eda is still in her Owl Beast form. "Anytime now. Just magically transform," said King. At this point, King realizes that the Elixir wasn't working. "Oh, nuts."

King ducks out of the cardboard box just in time before Eda shreds the box with her claws.

Everyone heard siren wails nearby. Animal control is here for Eda. Turns out it's the demon hunters. It seems they lost their previous job, now they're working for animal control. Pretty much they are wearing the same thing except now they're wearing yellow jackets for animal control.

"Uh, this is so embarrassing." said Demon hunter weakly.

"Hey, hey. This job is all we have right now. So, I wanna see happy faces. Okay? Let's roll out." said the second Demon hunter. The first demon hunter grunts in frustration.

"Animal control," said King worryingly.

"Matches the description the parents called in. Bag it." said the Second Demon Hunter.

"Oh, no! No, no, no!" said King worryingly.

"Eda!" Kat screams at Eda to get her attention. Kat, Dusty, and Kirby step in to stop her.

"Eda, please! It's me, Kat," said Kat calmly.

"Kat?! Oh, thank goodness you're here," said Kat relievedly.

Kat looks at King with a strict look. King was getting nervous, knowing he was in big trouble. King chuckles nervously.

"Wait. It's her, that human who helped those kids and made us lose our job!" the Demon hunter exclaimed.

Kat turns to see the demon hunters, and she immediately recognizes them. Kirby is not familiar with the group of demon hunters.

"You guys again? Wait, what are you wearing?" asked Kat.

"You did this to us." answered the First Demon Hunter.

"Hey, it's not my fault you ended up in that job. Maybe next time, don't throw kids off a cliff!" said Kat strictly.

Eda roars and attempts to attack Kat but she quickly dodges Eda's attack. Kat used stasis for any nearby objects and throws the objects at Eda. However, Eda was barely fazed by the projectiles.

"Poyo," said Kirby.

"I know, Kirby but I don't want to her. I just need to exhaust," said Kat as she attempts to gravity kick at Eda.

The attack did decent damage to Eda. Kat was trying to back away from Eda. However, Eda grabs her leg, slammed her to the ground, and threw her at the wall. Kat screams in pain. Kirby gets worried and went to go check on Kat, Dusty follows Kirby as well.

"Kat!" King exclaimed worryingly.

"Forget about her. Our mission is to deal with this creature." said the Second Demon Hunter.

Eda growls at the Demon Hunters, they cast a spell to the ground, surrounding Eda. Creating a net, Eda tries to get away but the net stops her from moving. The Leader of the Demon Hunters cast a thunder spell on Eda. She screeches in pain, King yelps, and Eda falls unconscious. The leader of the demon hunters cast a spell to levitate Eda to their animal control vehicle.

"Eda!" King grunts. "Whoa!" King struggles to get out of the rope but his left leg is still stuck in the rope. "Awesome. Fantastic," said King disappointedly.

Kat groans, she opens her eyes and gets up, luckily Eda's attack didn't knock her out. Kat looks to see the demon hunters have taken her.

"No, Eda!" Kat exclaimed worryingly.

Back to Luz and the others. Luz finished the last trial The flame goes off, showing that Luz finished all of the trials. Gus tries to break free from the web, and eventually, Gus frees himself once again.

"Yes, I am free again," said Gus cheerfully. However, the Bat Queen cast a spell, to web up Gus again.

"Well, at least Gus tried," said Ganke.

"Okay, Bat Queen. That's the last one. I've done all your chores. And I've proved my dedication to Owlbert. I'm so sorry for the pain I caused you, Owlbert. I promise to be more careful. Will you come back home with me?" asked Luz.

The Bat Queen cast a spell on Owlbert, webbing him up. Preventing him from leaving.

"What the?! What the hell are you doing?! She finished the last trial fair and square!" said Sarge.

"No! More trails. Last trial. You must face me." said the Bat Queen as she expands her wings, then flames rise from the floor.

"Hey! That's not what we agreed!" Mordecai exclaimed.

"Wait what? But Luz did everything you wanted. You can't just do that!" said Ganke.

"What?" said Luz worryingly.

The Bat Queen roars and flies toward Luz.

"You will never get him back!" The Bat Queen yells.

"What are you doing?! She finished all of your trials," said Spider-Man/Miles.

Luz backs away, jumps away, and lands on the ground.

"Luz, get us out. We can help," said Willow.

"Damn, she's getting desperate. But why is she so fixated on all this?" asked Brick.

"I don't know, but we'll about that later. Okay. That's it! Brick, Now!" said Spider-Man/Miles.

Luz helps Willow and Gus to remove the webs from them. Spider-Man/Miles and Brick break from the webs and helps Mordecai, Sarge, and Simmons.

"Look out," said Willow as she points out the Bat babies. They screeched at the group.

"I'll hold 'em off with my flags," said Gus as he pulls out his flags. However, the Bat babies screeched and begin attacking Willow, Gus, and Ganke. Luz backs away from them.

"No! That was a bad plan," said Gus.

"Guys, just run and stop her! Don't worry about us. Willow, Gus, and I will distract these guys," said Ganke.

Luz runs away from the Bat Queen. Brick and Spider-Man/Miles immediately hold her down.

"Okay, lady. I don't want to hurt you. But don't do something stupid," said Brick strictly.

"Get off!" The Bat Queen screams as she breaks from their grab. Brick and Spider-Man/Miles fell to the ground. The Bat Queen continues her pursuit.

Meanwhile, Owlbert is breaking free from the web. Luz tries to tell Bat Queen to stop while running.

"I won't let you imprison Owlbert," said Luz as she fend off the Bat Queen with the staff.

The Bat Queen roars and attempts to charge at Luz. However, Brick grabs the Bat Queen's hair. She is preventing her from getting closer to Luz.

"Why the hell are you being so stubborn?!" asked Brick. "Look, like I said before. I don't want to hurt you but if you tried to hurt Luz. I will not hesitate to beat you to a pulp!"

Brick is struggling to hold down the Bat Queen.

Luz uses the staff to fight back, but she falls to the ground. Her legs get tangled by the tree vines, she looks up to see Bat Queen charging at her. With no time to escape, Luz uses the staff to stop the Bat Queen. Luz tries to hold it, Spider-Man/Miles shows up, and he shoots webs at the Bat queen. Spider-Man/Miles pulls the web and pulls the Bat Queen, however, the Bat Queen is very strong.

"Bat Queen! Stop, you don't have to do this," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Simmons, Mordecai, give me a supporting hand for Spider-Man," said Sarge.

"Yes sir!" said Simmons as he, Mordecai, and Sarge grabs on Bat Queen's hair. Both the Reds and Mordecai are doing their best to slow down the Bat Queen.

"Sir, she's very strong," said Simmons strugglingly.

"I know but we gotta hold her down for a little longer. Spider-Man, use the electricity to stun her," said Sarge.

Luz gasps in shock and notices something on the Bat Queen's right leg. An interlock. Luz realizes what that means.

"Is that an interlock?" asked Luz.

"An inter what?" asked Brick.

Luz pushed her back and Brick, Simmons, Spider-Man/Miles, and Sarge pull her back. Luz discovers that the Bat Queen is a palisman.

"Bat Queen, you used to be on a staff, didn't you?" asked Luz. "You were a Palisman.

Bat Queen gasps in shock that Luz discovers her deep secret.

"Wait, What? Hold on… I think I get it now," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"A Palisman? So, she's just like Owlbert," said Sarge.

"Yeah, it's starting to make sense why she is so persistent. If she's a Palisman, then I know why she did all this," said Spider-Man/Miles.

Back to King, Kirby, Kat, and Dusty. King grunts while he is struggling to free himself from the rope, he breaks free and screams while he falls to the ground.

"Oof," King grunts and gets up, and he hears a voice behind him. The familiar voice surprised him.

"Your pride has destroyed you. The throne belongs to me now." said the Usurper who was once the ruler of the slayground slide.

"Over my dead body," said King confidently.

"King!" Kat calls King's name.

King sees Kat. She is very upset because she knows King is responsible for this mess. Kirby gave King a disappointing look.

"Ohhh. Hey Kat, how are you doing?" asked King nervously.

"Grrr…" Kat growls. "Look, I'm a bit mad right now and I want to lecture you but we don't have time for that right now."

Everyone hears Eda screeching. No time for the lecture, they need to get Eda back.

"Eda!" King exclaimed.

"Yes, leave and forfeit your reign." said the Usurper.

"Kid, it's just a stupid slide. You realize how stupid this was once you get older," said Kat.

"Exactly! Well, then, forfeit I shall. I'm coming for you, Eda," said King as he leaves the throne, which is the slide.

Kat is grateful he gave his delusional throne. Kat, King, and Kirby headed outside the slayground. They hear screeching and turn to see the animal control carriage stopped, waiting until the giant snail goes. They realized the snail is creating enough time for them to reach Eda and get her out. King heads to the carriage, he doesn't know that he's floating.

"Wah? Whoa!" King yelps.

"I hope you can do this, King and you better be right about this. Here I'll give you a boost," said Kat as she helped King to reach Eda. King managed to get inside but didn't land carefully. King gets back up and sees Eda completely wild and feral.

"You in there, Eda?" asked King.

Eda snarls at King.

"Eda, I'm sorry. I used you for your strength 'cause I felt weak. I'm your friend. If only there were some way to remind you who I am." said King.

Kat, Dusty, and Kirby heard the conversation and understand what King meant by that. Eda continues to growl and snarl at King. Eda attempted to bite King. It seems King needs to find a way to calm her down. King remembers that Eda enjoys his rage squeal. He believes his rage squeal might be the key to bringing Eda back to her original form.

"Wait a sec. Eda loves my rage squeal. Like this..." said King as he let out his rageful and adorable squeal. Kat, Kirby, and Eda were surprised by King's squeal. Their surprised reaction switched to laughter. Eda was enjoying this the most, her voice has came back.

"So tiny. So angry," said Eda.

Eda reverts to her original form. King's rage squeal was able to bring back Eda.

"It worked!" said Kat.

"Eda, you're back," said King happily.

"What happened?" asked Eda unsurely. Having no remember what happened earlier.

"Okay, so I went to your room and you were the beast. And then‐‐ And then I woke up here one second before you did," answered King nervously.

Unfortunately, Eda didn't fall for King's lie.

"Uh‐huh. I'll deal with you later. But for now, you wanna bounce?" asked Eda.

"Yes, please," said King.

The door was smashed thanks to Kirby's hammer. Eda was surprised and relieved to see Kat and Kirby there.

"Oh hey, guys. Thanks for the assist," said Eda gratefully.

"Of course, but seriously. You had us worried there for a moment. Not only that but I was surprised by how strong the Owl Beast was. I knew it was gonna tough but I didn't think it would be that tough." said Kat.

The demon hunters heard the sound and turned to the carriage door is damaged and the Owl Beast is gone or so they think.

"Aah! Where did it go? Hey, lady. H‐Have you seen a monster that kinda looks like you? Lady!"

Demon hunter noticed Kat, still upset at her because she's the reason he lost his previous job.

"You! Look what you did to us. We are stuck in this job thanks to you." said the Second Demon Hunter.

"I'm sorry but I had to help those kids. It's not my fault you ended up in this job," said Kat.

"Well, you shouldn't in the first place," said the First Demon Hunter harshly.

"Ugh… Seriously? Look! I'm kinda in a bad mood because my friend decided it was a fun little idea to use my friend as a little joyride for conquest for a stupid playground." said Kat.

"Kat, it's fine. He's just upset that he ended up in a loser's job," said Eda. "I'll probably lecture King for not pulling that stunt again."

"Who cares about those kids? They probably ended up in miserable lives," said the Second Demon Hunter mockingly.

Kat finds the demon hunter's words infuriating. She couldn't believe that he had just said that. Kat replies by transforming into Panther Mode. Kat and Dusty emerge together into one. Large claws on both hands and a panther head over Kat's head. Everyone was shocked by the sudden transformation.

"Holy…" Eda was shocked by this so much this, she couldn't finish that sentence. So, King finished it for her.

"Chicken wings!" King exclaimed.

Kat didn't forget what these guys did to Luz and her friends from the other night. Trying to push them off a cliff without showing any remorse. Kat slowly glides to the Demon Hunters. One of the hunters was about to cast a spell but realized something was off. Something that they shouldn't cast a spell on. Kat noticed the hesitation in the demon hunter's movement.

"Cast a spell… I dare you," said Kat strictly. "I still haven't forgiven you for what you tried to do to those kids. Completely unnecessary."

"O-Oh…. I'm so sorry. Carry on." said the Second Demon Hunter nervously as he and the rest of the Demon Hunters are terrified, and they know it would be idiotic to face her. They make their leave. Eda, King, and Kirby are amazed to see Kat's Panther mode.

"Poyo…" said Kirby awestruck by Kat's transformation.

"I-Incredible. Yeah, remind me not to tick her off," said Eda.

Kat composes herself and reverts to her original form. Dusty returns to his original form.

"Sorry about that. I'm still upset about what those guys tried to pull the other night," said Kat calmly.

"Kat, that was amazing. You and Dusty merge. That's something I have never seen before," said Eda. "Also, It's fine, Kat. I would've done something similar. But tried to ignore those idiots. At least they got what they deserved, I mean, did you see what they were wearing?" asked Eda.

"Yeah, I got their boss got real upset from their last. Their other boss is not gonna like this," said Kat.

"Exactly, now come on. It's been a long day," said Eda.

Meanwhile, Back to Luz and the others. The Bat Queen stops attacking Luz because she discovers her interlock and identity as a Palisman.

"You were once a Palisman, weren't you?" asked Luz.

The Bat Queen feels pity knowing they discover her secret. She looks at her interlock.

"It's okay, you can be honest. We all gotta be honest sometime in our lives," said Brick.

She accepts the fact that she was once a Palisman.

"Yes, I was once part of a grand staff. A staff made for a giant. But I was broken, discarded." answered the Bat Queen.

"So, that's why you're so protective of Owlbert," said Luz.

"I understand why you're doing this because you're afraid that Owlbert might get hurt again," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Yes but I protect... all!" said the Bat Queen as her eyes began to glow, not only that. Many Palismans' eyes were glowing within the shadows of the forest, revealing multiple Palisman who were lost, broken, and forgotten by their owners.

"Man, it's like a lot of light show," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Honestly, this is sad. So many were lost and came here because this was their only way to feel protected from the outside world," said Simmons.

"Correct, I made a home in the forest. I'm here to take the lost. The forgotten." said the Bat Queen.

"I understand. But Owlbert is not forgotten. He has someone at home who loves him very much. He has friends who watch over him." said Luz.

"He will not go back with you." said the Bat Queen.

"That's not your decision to make," said Luz.

"That's right. You can't just stop him from leaving. Didn't you see he wanted to leave?" asked Spider-Man/Miles. "Because he knows Luz realize her mistake and she was determined to fix the mistake."

"I won't let him." said the Bat Queen as she makes her next move.

"No. No! Hey, Stop!" Spider-Man/Miles exclaimed.

Spider-Man/Miles, Simmons, Sarge, and Brick were about to stop the Bat Queen. Luz braces herself for the attack. However, Mordecai comes in and pulls out his blade and slices off the Bat Queen's hair, and almost slices the Bat Queen's cheek. The others were shocked by Mordecai's action.

"How… How dare you?!" The Bat Queen exclaimed.

"You are so ignorant, you know that? Would you just stop this nonsense?!" asked Mordecai strictly. "You act like every decision is for the benefit of those you care for. Let me tell you something that no one told you before. That ain't how it works!"

"What? How would you know?" asked the Bat Queen.

"You may respect these Palisman but you don't respect the choices they want to do in their lives. You don't understand," answered Mordecai.

"I do understand. I protect them from arrogance. You don't know what you're

"Oh yeah? Then, why did you stop Owlbert from moving? From making a decision?" asked Mordecai. "Try to be honest with your next answer."

"I was only protecting him from getting hurt or worse from people who care less for the Palisman," answered the Bat Queen.

"Yeah, I get it. Eda can irresponsible at times but that doesn't mean she doesn't care for Owlbert. I have seen how she treats Owlbert, she cares for the little guy. If we were to head back and Eda finds out Owlbert is not coming back. She'll be devastated because of your ignorance." said Mordecai.

"I'm only trying to protect him from any danger." said the Bat Queen.

"Then you're doing a terrible job to keep your oath. I think I know why you're doing this. You're scared of something… Perhaps, loss?" asked Mordecai.

"What?! What do you know?!" asked the Bat Queen.

"Loss… You're not the only one who had lost something. We may be humans but that doesn't mean we're excluded from cruelty." answered Mordecai. He lets out a heavy sigh. Knowing he's about to tell the Bat Queen about his loss.

"My friend, Roland… He died trying stop to a psychopath. To prevent him from killing any more people." said Mordecai. "Me, Roland, and other people went through hell just to stop him from causing mass genocide."

"You think I wish to acknowledge that? I think you don't care for them," said the Bat Queen harshly.

"Really? You think I don't care about Roland or my last pet, Bloodwing. I do care for them but there was nothing I couldn't do to save them." answered Mordecai.

"I don't have time to deal with this. He's not going back with her or any of you," said the Bat Queen.

"So, you're just gonna be discarding Owlbert's choice just like your owner discarded you," said Mordecai.

"W-What… You fool! You don't know the whole story," said the Bat Queen.

"But I know enough…. Do you think I was gonna let it happen? I tried to stop it… I tried, my friends tried… But it wasn't enough. I had to watch Bloodwing's head get blown off to bits…" said Mordecai.

The Bat Queen was shocked at what Mordecai just said. Even the others didn't expect that. Brick acknowledges this knowing that Mordecai was heavily affected by the passing of two of his dear friends.

"Mordecai… I'm so sorry," said Willow.

"D-Did that really happened to Mordecai?" asked Gus. "Handsome Jack did that to him?"

"Yeah… That asshole Jack experimented on Bloodwing. Just to prove an example for those who crossed him," answered Brick. "The others tried to save Bloodwing but Jack was one step ahead of us. It shows Handsome Jack is smart and enjoys torturing his enemies."

"No way… God, I can't even imagine the pain he went through," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"I-I…" The Bat Queen has no words for what Mordecai stated.

"You're probably thinking of another reason why you shouldn't let Owlbert go back to Eda. But, let me tell you this… I know you're scared for other Palisman. Afraid they'll get hurt again or worse. But you can't just lock them in a cage and force them to stay. One day, they're gonna have to decide to go back out there, to find another home with an owner who genuinely cares for them. Isn't that right, Owlbert?" asked Mordecai.

"What do you… mean by that?" asked The Bat Queen. She looks at Owlbert. He walks up to Bat Queen.

"You…" said the Bat Queen as her and Owlbert's eyes began to glow. It seems Owlbert was communicating to the Bat Queen, telling her that he cares for Luz.

"You care for her." said the Bat Queen.

Owlbert hoots joyfully knowing that Luz has proven herself she can be trustworthy. The Bat Queen is shocked to learn that Owlbert does care for Luz, his family, and his friends. The Bat Queen accepts Owlbert's decision to stay with his family.

"Very well. Go. And take your friends." said the Bat Queen.

Ganke, Willow, and Gus ran toward the others. The Bat Queen's babies are still biting Willow, Ganke, and Gus.

"Hey, don't feel ashamed. I can't blame you for having those feelings. We all have our fears but we shouldn't let them get the best of us." said Spider-Man/Miles.

"Yes. You are correct, I let my fear overcome me," said the Bat Queen as she whistles So her babies can stop biting Willow and Gus. They returned to their mother. Gus's head is covered in saliva.

"I don't think I'll ever be clean again," said Gus.

"Gross. Be sure to shower your hair very well," said Ganke.

Owlbert flies towards Eda's staff and picks it up, and gives it to Luz. Luz questions the Bat Queen's owner.

"Bat Queen, do you know what happened to your owner?" asked Luz.

"It has been thousands of years. I've forgotten." answered the Bat Queen.

"If you ever want to search for the truth, I'll help you. Will you guys help out?" asked Luz.

"Sure, might be interesting to see what happens to her owner," answered Sarge. "Surely that has to be a clue about him."

"Thank you." said the Bat Queen gratefully. "You… I realize I was unnecessary with my words."

"Look… it's fine. You don't have to say sorry. Honestly, I say some things that are unnecessary as well. So we're even. I know you care for Owlbert but you see what he wants. He's deciding for himself. To be with Luz, Eda, and those he loves. You have to understand and accept it. One last thing… When I lost Bloodwing… I lost myself and did some stupid things but I have grown out of it because I couldn't mourn and let Handsome Jack get away with it. I had to be better for who I am. Then, I found another pet, Talon, and after that, I straighten myself because I have to make sure I won't make the same mistake again. You're going through the same thing but you have to be aware of those people around you because trauma can do things to a person and make you do harsh things. You can't let that pain change you. Instead, you let that pain help you grow as a person." said Mordecai.

The Bat Queen was surprised and impressed by Mordecai's statement.

"I… I have nothing. Nothing to say," said the Bat Queen weakly.

"It's hard to be strong especially all these Palisman depending on you. But they're also depending on you to help what to do in their lives," said Mordecai. "How about this? Can you make a promise?"

"I… Yes. I wish to make it." answered the Bat Queen. "What is it you wish for me to promise?"

"Be more open and considerate to others. That's how I promised myself. To let things go and continue to be better as a person. If I can do that, you can too," answered Mordecai.

"I will. Thank you, human. I won't forget what you stated," said the Bat Queen as she makes her leaves as she flies up, and returns to her nest.

"I can't believe you took on the Bat Queen," said Willow as she hugs Luz for taking on the Bat Queen.

"Mordecai, are you alright?" asked Gus. "Because that was a lot of what you said."

"I'm fine. It was difficult explaining that but it's fine. It happened a long time ago.

"Hey, Mordecai… That was good of you right there, soldier. You have my respect," said Sarge.

"That was a close call," said Spider-Man/Miles. "That was very considerate of you, Mordecai. Thanks."

"And we're not dead," said Gus relievedly.

"Guys, Thank you for helping me get Owlbert back. I'm sorry we missed the game," said Luz.

"Don't worry Luz. At least we learn something new. Especially about this creepy place." said Ganke.

"Yeah, I had fun today. It was quite informative to learn that Bat Queen used to be a Palisman. I'm still curious about her owner." said Simmons.

"I hope we find the answer and hopefully we don't run into bullshit because a random business dipshit said so," said Sarge.

"Wait, What?" asked Simmons.

"Argh. Forget it," answered Sarge.

"Anyways… Are you kidding? That was better than any grudgby match," said Gus joyfully. "There were action‐packed trials. I got to do my flag wave, and I'm slightly traumatized. Hooray!"

"I know you're being sarcastic. But be sure to check on therapy. Ok?" asked Ganke.

"Oh, sure," answered Gus.

"Alright, that's enough for that because it's getting late. Let's head back to the Owl House," said Brick.

"Brick's right, Let's get this little guy home," said Luz as she and the others headed back to the Owl house.

Time Passes…

Willow and Gus head back to their homes. Luz unwraps the bandaid and places it on Owlbert's head.

"Damn… Well, that was an experience. Hopefully, you learn something from all this, Luz," said Brick.

"Yeah because this was a weird and creepy day," said Sarge.

"Of course Brick," said Luz as she places a bandage on Owlbert's head. "And now you're a part of the boo‐boo buddy club."

"Bro, today was weird. I went their weird stuff back at Harlem but this stuff is definitely weird," said Spider-Man/Miles.

The door opens, revealing it is Eda, King, Kat, Dusty, and Kirby.

"Hey, guys, how are you doing today?" asked Kat.

"Oh… Um, great, nobody didn't get hurt or anything," answered Brick nervously.

"Owlbert, why are you off the staff?" asked Eda.

Luz, Sarge, Simmons, Brick, Mordecai, Miles, and Ganke were getting slightly nervous that Eda was suspicious about Owlbert not being on the staff.

"Hey, Eda. What's up?" asked Spider-Man/Miles nervously.

Hooty flies up to Eda and lands on her shoulder, telling her what happened while she was gone.

"Luz took you to get ice cream? Aw... That's a horrible lie." said Eda.

"Well, at least he tried," said Ganke.

Owlbert hoots and Luz gulps nervously.

"Aw damn. Look, we didn't mean to," said Sarge. "It was… Aw shit, Grif wasn't with us."

"Hehe. It was a long story," said Spider-Man/Miles.

"All we can say is that it's been a weird day for us," said Mordecai.

"Well, lucky for all of you. I don't care right now. I'm going to take a nap." said Eda uncaringly as she heads to her room.

"I'll, uh, be at the playground," said King as he leaves and make his way back to the Owl House. Owlbert flies over to Luz's shoulder.

"We'll keep this one to ourselves, shall we?" asked Luz.

Back to Eda as she enters her room. Four empty elixir bottles are sitting on the side table and she starts coughing.

"The elixir... It isn't working on the curse anymore. This is bad." said Eda worryingly. Eda continued coughing until she vomited out of a swing seat. She was quite surprised that she consumed a swing seat. "When did I swallow a swing?"

It seems Eda doesn't remember what happened when she turned into the Owl beast, even though this time she wasn't feral. Back at the Bat Queen's cave, she and her children are getting ready for bed.

"Babies. To bed," said the Bat Queen. Her babies landed on a branch. The bat babies let out soft screeching.

"And now it's time to have book before sleeping." said the Bat Queen as she vomits out a book, it looks like she was gonna read a bedtime story to her children. But instead, she rips off the pages and feeds them to her children. The bat babies continue to screech softly.

"Yes, consume. Grow wise." said The Bat Queen happily. The Bat babies swallow the pages and they enjoyed their night meal. "Avoid paper cuts."

The bat babies fall asleep and the Bat Queen sits on the branch behind them and it shows they are upside down.

"Those humans… I can see them doing great doings for the Boiling Isles," said the Bat Queen as she falls asleep.

Time Passes…

Meanwhile, in Glandus High. The Grudgby match between Hexside and Glandus is about to be over soon. Amity is there to watch the game but she was bored at the moment. Amity sighs in a boring tone.

"I can't believe I'm watching this," said Amity.

"Well, that's a familiar face I recognize." said a feminine voice.

Amity turns to her right to see Maya and Gaige.

"Oh. It's you two. Maya and Gaige. What are you two doing here?" asked Amity.

"We were just passing by until we saw this game on. Glandus High didn't mind any human visitors. So lucky for us," answered Gaige. "But it looks like the game is about over soon."

"But did we miss anything?" asked Maya.

"Eh. Nothing much. Usually, sports are okay. Sometimes people go way overboard when it comes to these events." answered Amity.

"What makes you say that?" asked Maya.

"Oh, I think I know the answer to that. Some people might break things. I saw a video where this punch the TV screen. The TV looked very expensive." answered Gaige. "Honestly, that's kinda a nightmare to deal with."

"Really? Over for a sports game? Huh, that's interesting, to say the least," said Maya. "I've never really got into playing or watching sports when I was younger. In fact, I wasn't allowed to play sports as a kid."

"Hm? How come?" asked Amity.

"It's kinda complicated. But I doubt you would be interested in that," said Maya.

"Actually, I am interested. It might be more interesting than watching this game because… You guys are from a different universe. So I would be interested to learn different perspectives from different universes. So, go ahead," said Amity.

Maya was slightly surprised about Amity's interest in learning about Maya's youth.

"Okay, I'll do my best," said Maya. "So what do you want to talk about?"

"Oh. Your tattoos. Last time your friend mentions that you had it since you were a kid." answered Amity. "Was it like for you?"

"It was different from the other Sirens I met. But it was difficult growing up as well," answered Maya.

"I remember that. There was Angel, Lilith, and you. Three of you went through different experiences." said Amity.

"That's right. Whenever Sirens get their powers, it brings a lot of attention. Especially using Sirens as an advantage. When I was young, a man named Sophis saw the advantage for me. Not in a good way. He used me to represent a symbol of fear. He's been using a fear icon for twenty-seven years. He strictly stopped me from doing anything whether it was learning about Pandora or the history of Sirens." said Maya.

"Why would he do that? How could he do that to you?" asked Amity.

"It's obvious. He wanted power in his order and spread fear to the people of Athenas. When I was hoping he show me something related to Sirens but he didn't care anything about me or anything related to Sirens. He only wanted to use me as a weapon, to make people afraid of me." answered Maya. "They kept lying to me about protecting Athenas from any kind of evil. I trained and prepare for something. But guess what? Nothing happened. Just more lies."

"That's horrible. But if you're here, what happened to Sophis, the person who was manipulating you?" asked Amity.

"I had enough of his bullshit. One day he wanted me to kill an innocent man. Sophis was cruel for a ridiculous reason. Until I realize something… Why am I still there? Sophis was keeping me inside a cage for a long time, and I decided to break from it. So, I killed him. Honestly, it was for the best considering it was his idea to use me in the first place. If I didn't kill him on the spot, he'll probably try to bring me back and not in a kind way. Not only that, he probably might harm or kill the civilians just to stop me from leaving Athenas," answered Maya.

"Exactly. Those people were using her for domination. After she killed that dickhead, she left Athenas for Pandora. Honestly, it was probably for the best. After she left, I heard things at Athena's had been going well as of late, without Maya there. The fear was gone and people knew the order was in big trouble for their lies," said Gaige.

"At least that world had a better future. Maya, I'm sorry you went through that," said Amity. "I'm just glad you get away from that and choose to make your own future. Honestly, I don't what I do if I was in your situation."

"Hey, it's fine, kid. It happened a long time ago. But I appreciate the kind words, Amity." said Maya gratefully.

"Oh, hey. It looks like the game is about to be over soon," said Gaige.

In the field of Glandus High, the game between Glandus and Hexside is about to reach its conclusion. Hexside takes the lead in the game. With Boscha as the representation of Hexside Grudgby's leader.

"We got this," said Boscha confidently.

However, things will not go so well for this Grudgby match. Suddenly everything started to shake, and a large blue portal opened in the air in the middle of the field.

"What the?!" The Glandus High student exclaimed.

A giant cell emerges out of the portal and lands in the middle of the field. Maya,

"Another portal! It's a large box?" said Gaige confusingly.

"No, I think that's a prison cell," said Maya.

"Uh.." the Hexside player is nervous to speak calmly.

The giant cell is starting to fall apart. The door of the cell opens, and something is coming out of the cell. A large man wearing a suit looks like a rhino.

"What the hell?" asked Maya.

"No way… It's the Rhino," answered Gaige.

"T-The what?" asked Amity.

The large man Rhino was revealed to be Rhino from the Marvel Universe. This Rhino is from Earth-1048, the same universe that Peter, Miles, Ganke, and Martin Li are from.

"What is this? Children playing games…. ARGHH!" The large man slams his hands to the ground removing the large handcuffs.

"Uh. Hello big man." said the Hexside player nervously. "Can we help you?"

"Where am I? Why do you have pointy ears?" asked the large man.

"Huh? Are you a human?" asked the Hexside player nervously.

"What are you talking about?" asked Rhino.

"Hey, you big oaf!" Boscha exclaimed furiously.

"Damn! What the hell is that kid doing?" asked Gaige.

"Being stupid. Amity, get these people out of here now. Things are gonna get loud," said Maya calmly.

"Okay but are you guys gonna okay facing him?" asked Amity.

"We'll be fine. We dealt with bigger things before. Now, go," said Maya.

Amity listens to Maya and does what Maya told her.

"Everyone, get out of here right now," said Amity.

The civilians pick up Amity's warning and quickly evacuated the area.

"We are in the middle of a match. So get your fat butt outta here before-" Boscha couldn't finish insulted because of Rhino's ominous appearance.

"RAHH!" Rhino screams as he slams his fist to the ground right next to Boshca. Shaking the ground, terrifying everyone. This terrified Boscha, realizing she probably shouldn't have said that. Rhino started laughing.

"Hahaha! Triclops trying to lecture me. A puny child as you should run away." said Rhino.

"W-Well, I do apologize for what I said. So, can you kindly leave?" asked Boshca nervously. "You don't want to make a scene."

"I shall," said Rhino ominously as he turns right in front of the audience seating. Preparing for his next move.

"Wait. What are you doing?" asked Boscha worryingly.

Maya realized what Rhino is about to do. She quickly warns the people.

"Oh shit… Guys, move!" Maya exclaimed.

Rhino charges at the audience seating at full speed.

"Everyone! MOVE!" Boscha screams just to warn the audience to get out of the way. Rhino crashed through the seating, and after that, he continued running at full speed toward the city.
