All the Promises

Grey blanketed the sky outside the Tohsaka residence, and the room was dark, the curtains drawn, and the lamp on the bedside table dim.
Saber lay down on the bed, grimacing as the left side of her head throbbed in pain. She hadn't had a headache quite like this one, and this one persisted to an annoying degree. She was used to dealing with this by herself, as well as other ailments that plagued her as a Servant, and especially as a woman.
But this, this was different.
"Saber, you alright?" Rin's voice broke the silence as she walked into the room, bringing in a tray of a glass of water and pain relievers. She set the tray on the bedside table, and then sat next to Saber, who looked up to see Rin with a concerned look on her face.
"It's nothing, just a headache," Saber replied, sparing a smile Rin's way.
"It's not nothing, I get those kind of headaches from time to time too, and they're just awful." Rin said as she brought the glass of water and a pain pill close to Saber. "Here, these should help."
Saber lifted herself up and took the pill in one hand, and the glass of water in the other. "Do these work instantly?" She asked, a little perplexed.
Rin shook her head, frowning. "No, not instantly, but once you take them, it'll get rid of the headache. It's a lifesaver for me, so go ahead."
Saber blinked and then bright the pill to her mouth, and swallowed it, grimacing at the taste, and the drinking the cool water afterwards. Rin took the water glass onto the tray on the bedside table, and Saber rubbed her head.
"So what now? I promised that I'd accompany you to the park today, but I'm still incapacitated." Saber spoke, a tinge of remorse in her voice. "I apologize."
"No need to apologize." Rin then laid down on the bed right beside Saber, who in turn set her head on her pillow. "You just rest, and I'll just get some shut-eye too, while we're at it." She said, closing her eyes as she snuggled Saber from behind.
Saare blinked and then she smiled tiredly, threaded her hands with Rin's. "That sounds good to me, and thank you, I appreciate it."
"Mmm, don't mention it." Rin replied, lightly squeezing Saber's hand, as sleep slowly started to sink in.
Saber nodded, and she closed her eyes to rest, feeling Rin next to her putting her at ease.
The pain in her head began to ebb away after that.
