Chapter 6

Mika looked up at the morning sun, confused and bewildered by what had happened.

He remembered activating the Psychoframes and then blank.

Everything after that was fuzzy.

Still inside of his MS, he stood up and looked around his surroundings.

It was a cornfield.

A very familiar cornfield.

"I'm home?" Mika whispered in shock.

He had thought about getting back home after the war but he never thought it would be so early.

What happened?

Did they win?

Is the Whitebase crew still alive?

His mind raced at so many unanswered questions. Various scenarios run its course in his head, simulating his absence to the war.

78% chance of EFF win but if Zeon had many remaining MA it will be lowered to 62%.

The most likely outcome would be a pyrrhic victory to the EFF with heavy casualties.

He can only sigh and pray for the best to the Whitebase. As for now, he's totally lost what to do.

Then he noticed something peculiar.

There is a new village on top of his wrecked home.

How long had he been fighting for a new village erect at the ruins of his home.

Almost a year.

Puzzled and curious, Mika walked at the familiar lands of his family.

Their family homes are gone, together with its barns and any familiar structure. It was now replaced by a huge mansion with various warehouses.

A noble had taken their lands.

"Halt! Who goes there?!"

Mika stopped in his walk as a female voice called out. Turning towards the speaker, he almost recoiled in shock.

It's a female knight.

A scantily armored clad female knight. Wearing only a bikini and various pieces of armor to her shoulders and arms. The only reason he could identify her as a knight and not whore is her sword.

The UC Era had spoiled him of its customs.

" Do you hear me, Stranger! You are trespassing the lands of Lord Aurolus! Speak or I'll cut you down! "

Mika was right. His home had been claimed by a lord. Land that is supposed to go to him by his father's promise.

It no longer matters anymore, he had failed him.

Disheartened, Mika takes a good look at his father's land. One last goodbye before he leaves.

After giving his silent goodbye, he turned around and started walking towards the new village to gather his wits.

This angered the knight.

The knight brewing with rage for guarding a worthless land under the heat of the sun had little patience to spare. Imagine her surprise when a huge white armored knight emerged out of the cornfields, scaring away the farmers and reported it back to her.

Good. She's itching for some action.

Arriving the scene, she found the knight. It was archaic in design. A full armor in pure white color. It most distinguished feature is the singular horn on its head akin to a unicorn.

She yelled at the knight to identify itself but it remained unresponsive. It only stared at her lord's house before leaving without a word.

Such disrespect cannot be ignored.

With a scream of rage, she charged at the knight. She swung her sword to cut him in half on his torso.

*Snap*

She looked in shock at the broken sword. It was Dwarven made and could easily separate an orc's head from its torso. Yet it snapped like a twig against the Knight's armor.

She can only stare in shock as the knight walks away.

" Give us all your valuables!"

Our white knight looked at the group hoodlums in front of him unamused.

" We hit the jackpot today! look at that armor!"

" That's gonna sell a lot!"

" Lady luck is on our side boys!"

Six men encircled Mika, laughing and jeering as they attempted to rob him in broad daylight.

Mika looked at the people around. They can see what's happening and yet no action is being taken. This situation leads to one conclusion.

This isn't the first time it happened.

"Seriously? what kind of dumbass would prance around here in that armor?!" Their leader jeered.

He was a head taller than Mika and the biggest of their group.

" Show him boss, Loko!"

" Let's give a taste of what Kuroinu can do, boss."

Kuroinu.

Kuroinu.

Kuroinu!!!

Mika knows that name. He heard it once.

At the night of attack.

*Bang*

Their laughter and jeering stopped. Mika had punched the man beside him, popping his head like a melon.

" Aaaaaaaaaaah!" the coward of the group screamed and tried to run.

Mika didn't let him.

Moving faster than they could imagine, the knight captured the fleeing man by his head before slamming him head first to the ground.

The streets were run red, stained by his blood from his splattered head.

People screamed in terror at the brutality. Immediately, they run for cover in their homes and nearby buildings.

Leaving behind four cowering members of the Kuroinu.

Loko, their leader, took a step back in fright. This small village was supposed to be an easy target for extortion. They aren't supposed to be Knights of high caliber in this area.

And yet here they are.

" Run! " Two of them tried to run for it.

Running from opposite directions, these two thought they could escape while the knight is busy with the other.

How wrong they are.

Mika punched the street and picked up pieces of it. He then threw those pieces with accuracy to the fleeing mercenaries.

Their heads disappeared in a mist red blood.

" Boss, what do we do?!" his last remaining man asked in terror. He can smell that he already shit himself.

He wasn't going to judge him.

He also felt like pissing himself.

" I- "

His words were cut off as the knight moved once again.

It captured the last remaining man he had in its hand. Muffled screams came from the poor mercenary before being silenced with one clench, crushing his head like a grape.

"And now there is one." the knight spoke for the first time. It's a voice filled with malice and cruelty.

" Please! Have mercy!"

Loko begged, kneeling and bowing his head to the ground for mercy. He wanted to live, he doesn't want to die.

Slowly, he could hear the metallic footsteps of the knight.

"Argh!" he screamed in pain as his hair was pulled up, making him face the faceless knight.

" You will have your Mercy."

" But you would wish you hadn't "

At the new village of Ledian, a huge disturbance is happening.

People winced at the anguished screams of the poor soul the knight had dragged inside of a random house, forcing out its inhabitants.

They could only imagine what kind of torture is happening to the man.

Some felt sweet justice. The Black Dog mercenaries have been abusing the villagers hospitality and have been extorting the village since.

What's worse is that they can't tell it to the local lord due to the mercenaries being on his payroll.

The disturbance also garnered the attention of the local knights who upholds the law in the village.

Currently, they are positioned around the house and debating what to do.

But before they could take any action, the knight came out. It's once pristine white armor is now covered in blood and filth.

A horrendous sight to see.

The knight took stock of the female knights surrounding the house before speaking.

" Stand Aside."

His words were powerful and laced with cold fury and a hint of malice.

The female knights parted like water.

Slowly, the knight marched. Its metallic footsteps are the only sound in the street as every single person froze under the palable tension the knight oozes.

One wrong move could get anyone killed.

The knight walked towards the exit of the village.

Away from village.

Away from humans.

Away from his home.

Away from his previous life.

He faded away under the deep forest of Esride.

Pray to whatever that impedes it's path.

For he would show no mercy.

Meanwhile, the female knights checked the house for the poor man.

They only found a huge red stain on the floor.

I keep walking.

I didn't stop, I can't stop. Not now after what I have learned.

We were betrayed.

By the words of that worm, the attack of my village was a bribe.

A bribe to the monsters.

This Black Dog mercenaries have made a deal with the monsters. What the deal entails, the useless pile of flesh didn't know about it. His just a lowly grunt.

But he did participate on that day.

I made sure to make his death as painful as much possible.

The Marines teachings in torture came handy.

But as much as I want to kill as many Black Dogs upon this betrayal, I can't. Not yet.

The Black Dogs are a rising mercenary group that is slowly gaining power through political means.

The village is a proof of it as the Lord had them on his payroll as protection.

Right now, I lack resources.

I need Ammunition, Energy and fuel.

I need a base of operations to prepare.

So I walked.

I walked until I entered the accursed lands of the Queen of monsters.

I still need words with her.

If her answer is unsatisfactory.

She will die screaming.

It took 5 days to arrive at the vicinity of the Dark tower, a fortress for the most vile woman in the continent. Pa had told him stories of the horrors she had inflicted upon mankind until Celestine banished her away to these lands.

But I'm not afraid, not anymore.

I'm just fucking too angry.

I need to murder something. The monsters will be a good substitute.

It wasn't a battle.

It was a slaughter.

The monsters of the fortress are just minding their own business, eating and fucking their captives.

But then hell arrives.

A huge explosion took all of their attention to the sky in wonder.

That wonder turned into horror as it rained. A rain of death as their bodies were shredded to pieces by the downpour.

Orcs, lycans and goblins screamed as they die.

Those who died quickly were the lucky ones, for those who survived found themselves slowly choking on their blood as unimaginable pain ran through their bodies or what's left of it.

Those who took shelter in the fortress watched their dying kin in rage.

Who dares to attack them?!

From the distance, a lycan saw an approaching figure.

A White Knight.

He howled loud and proud to his pack, rallying and encouraging as he leaped and charged towards the intruder of their territory. His pack just behind him, salivating at the promise of revenge.

*Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt*

The roar of a Beam Gatling gun silenced the entire fortress as it massacred the lycans in their charge.

Blood and limbs flew in the air as countless beam particles tore through their numbers, mutilating and killing them all.

The ground stained red.

Mika didn't stopped firing, he continued to fire even after all the lycans are dead. Gunfire showered the entire area of the dead, leaving no survivors and putting out those who are still alive out of their suffering.

It was not until he ran out of ammo that he put the gun back to its storage.

Seeing that the weird knight is no longer spewing weird killing lights, the orcs marched out of fortress to kill him.

Mika ignited his Beam Tonfas and charged.

An orc is a dumb brute of a monster whose redeeming quality is their strength and sturdiness. Compared to a soldier trained in the art of war and had a MS which multiplied their strengths over tenfold who had experience in a huge warfare where the opposition had equal strengths to theirs.

The winner is obvious.

Firing his last Vulcans with wild abandon, Mika attacked like a wild beast, cutting and shredding the orcs into pieces. He was surrounded with countless of orcs and yet he continued. He ignored all the blows he took, orc weapons are just big wooded logs. The Unicorn's armor wouldn't be penetrated by such weapons.

So he continued on his work, his mind already drowned in bloodlust with only one goal.

To Rip and Tear Until It is Done.

His Beam Tonfas run out of energy after an hour of cutting down their numbers but no sign of lessening.

Weaponless (He wouldn't use the Magnum on these filths), he resorted to his bare hands.

It was a messy affair.

Blood poured on the Unicorn, covering it with a red stain, as he plunged his armored hand into an orcs belly before pulling out it's innards and guts.

He repeated it to every single one of them.

He rip, smash, crush, tore, twist and everything he can do, just to kill them all one by one.

Ripping and orcs lower jaw, he shoved a piece of wood to its gaping mouth through it's brain. He then kicked an orcs knee, who managed to came close, crushing and breaking it's leg before pummeling it's head with heavy punches.

An orc smashed him with a log, hitting his back, making him falter in his step. Soon a barrage of blow rained on him. He ignored it and punched one of the orcs feet, turning it into a red stain on the ground before he threw himself to the down orc and started ripping him apart, piece by piece.

For 10 hours straight, he did all of these until the legion of a hundred thousand orcs was nothing more but unrecognizable corpses under his feet.

By the end of it, the Unicorn is heavily damaged.

Its horn have been broken, used as a shiv to stab an orcs eye, it was now lost to the countless corpses. It's armor was dented and bent all over it's body.

The pure white color of the Unicorn had also turned red with all the blood.

Mika is tired.

Hunger, exhaustion and the lack of sleep is now taking a toll on his body after 5 days of non-stop marching.

By the time he attacked, he had nothing but his rage as fuel.

Vision faltered, dark spots are covering his eyesight.

He tried to stay awake but his body betrayed him.

He collapsed in a heap on top of the corpses he had piled up.

On top of the fortress, two figures watched the entire battle unfold to its end.

Olga watched as the knight collapsed in exhaustion after hours of slaughtering her army.

Oh, she was angry at insolent fool who dared to attack her but watching as the lone knight slaughter his way in reckless abandon, she can't help but be enchanted by the sight.

It's not everyday you get to see a newborn legend defeat the strongest army in Eostia until now.

Olga's army of a hundred thousand orcs and countless other monsters are her hugest weapon against humanity and their cruelty. The only reason why she hadn't conquered mankind is because of the threat of Celestine stepping up.

Taking on a damned Goddess reborn is not a good choice.

" His downed, Olga-sama. Should I kill him." Her dear Chloe said, pulling out a knife.

She chuckled at the enthusiastic dark elf.

"No, we shouldn't kill him. Bring him in." She said much to the young elf's disappointment.

"But he wiped out your army, Olga-sama!" Chloe pointed out.

" And we might gain a new and powerful pawn compared to the army of brutes we had." She shot back.

" Just do it Chloe, I'll take care of the rest." Olga walked away, a plan brewing on her head.

A plan to finally get her revenge on mankind.

Meanwhile, Chloe frowned as she approved the unconscious figure if the knight.

She didn't like her Queen's decision but she must follow.

Grabbing one of its legs, she started pulling it towards the fortress. It didn't budge.

A scream of frustrated dark elf echoed in the desolate land.

Author notes

MS in this fic are human size.

They also act like a mix Moljner armor of halo and IS in Infinite Stratos.

Mika's MS enhances his parameters just like the Moljner armor but without the you know.

IS storage system is also implemented to gave the MS all of its arsenal even if it's now human size.
