"Come on Odu-Bathax!" Nora cheered.
Currently she and Jekyll were watching a match with Odu-Bathax, a bipedal insect-like creature with a grayish-blue exoskeleton, 4 arms and and 4 appendages on his back fighting Rath'tab a ghostly creature that appeared to be made of a blue fluid-like energy.
"He doesn't stand a chance, he is fighting Rath'tab in the Riverlands, his Water attacks will wash Bathax away like a spider on a pipe." Jekyll said as Rath'tab had just blasted the danian into the river and was getting pushed by the current.
Ruby came up to them. "Hey guys, what are you watching?" She asked.
"Just the end of this match." Nora answered.
Turning toward the screen ruby was surprised. "What kind of creature is that?!" She exclaimed upon seeing a creature like nothing she has ever seen.
Jekyll turned to her confused. "Wait, you mean you haven't seen a M'arrillian yet?" He asked.
"A M'arrillian?" A new voice popped up and all three turn to see Penny.
"Well, sit down and I'll tell you guys about it after this match." He said.
"which might be in a second, look!" Nora exclaimed.
Looking at the screen everyone saw Rath'tab fire some kind of attack at Odu-Bathax and hits him in the back, causing him to stop moving and a purple glow to appear in his eyes.
"Well this match is over." Jekyll said as he took a sip of his soda.
"What was that?" Penny asked.
Suddenly some sort of crown appeared on Odu-Bathax' head, causing him to lose the glow in his eyes as he turned back around and fired an Earth Pulse at Rath'tab and knocked him down.
"Oh yeah!" Nora cheered. "I forgot there's a battlegear that can counter the M'arrillian's brainwashing."
"The M'arrillian's WHAT?!"
"It doesn't matter, Odu-Bathax only has 10 energy left and Rath'tab just sacrificed his Aqua Shield to gain more energy." Jekyll pointed out. True to his word, Rath'tab fired a blast of water and coded Bathax.
"Aww..." Nora slumped.
"Told you he was gonna win." Jekyll smirked.
"Ok, can someone please explain what just happened?!" Ruby exclaimed.
Jekyll sighed. "Sit down and I'll tell you about the M'arillians." He said
"You know how there are 4 tribes right?" He asked.
"Yes." Ruby and Penny answered.
"Well there is actually 5." Jekyll told them.
"What?!" They gasped.
"Well it started a while back, I think it was at least a year or two ago." Jekyll said. "A pair of Chaotic players were at ice pillar and saw a couple UnderWorlders digging something out of the ice. Turns out it was actually a creature named Phelphor."
"A creature was in the ice?" Penny asked surprise.
"Yes, now stop interrupting me and listen." Jekyll told them before continuing. "Apparently he was brought to Chaor himself and tried to convince him to unlock the Doors of the Deepmines. But when Chaor refused Phelphor went off to brainwash the ones guarding it to make them open it, and when they did the M'arrillians locked behind it were set free. Using their brainwashing abilities they began an invasion to control all of Perim, one that was so bad that all 4 tribes worked together to fight them off."
"Wait, all 4 tribes stopped fighting just to team up against the M'arrilians?" Ruby asked in shock.
"Yes. Well, they went back to fighting each other shortly after the invasion was stopped due to arguing who won the Perithon but that's beside the point." Jekyll said.
"Wait wha-"
"Anyways, things were looking bad when they came up with a plan to trap their leader Aa'une by teleporting him to another location, Lake Blakeer. While this was happening the leader fired an attack that brainwashed all of Kiru City. It took the combined might of both Maxxor AND Chaor powered up, along with help from Iparu, to defeat Aa'une. Once the leader was gone the rest lost their brainwashing abilities." Jekyll told them.
"Woah." Was all Ruby could say in awe.
"Do either of you have any scan's of M'arrillians?" Penny asked.
"I haven't got any but I know Jekyll's got a bunch of scans related to them." Nora said as all three turned to look at Jekyll.
"Really?!" Ruby asked excitedly.
"Yeah I was lucky enough to get a few scan without getting caught." He said.
"That's so cool, I wanna face them in the drome!" Ruby exclaimed as Jekyll gave her a look.
"You sure?" He asked. "M'arrillians aren't exactly the easiest to fight against." Jekyll said.
"Of course, besides I'm bound to fight them eventually in a match." Ruby stated.
Jekyll shrugged. "Fair enough. Meet me in the Beta Drome in 5 minutes." Jekyll told her.
Jekyll and Ruby were in the Beta Drome and both players locked in their decks.
On Ruby's Team was Kopond, High Muge of the Hearth, Ooloo, Rarran, Ustabe, Takinom, the Shadowknight and Ilx.
On Jekyll's team was Erak'tabb, Okaxor, Phelphor of the Deep, Gimwei, Gronmor and Nunk'worn.
Erak'tabb resembles a green manta ray. He has five eyes, four on his body and another on his eye stock.
'So that's a M'arrillian.' Ruby thought before realizing something. "Wait, Okaxor, Gimwei, Gronmor? Those are OverWorld creatures!"
Jekyll raised an eyebrow. "And?"
"I thought you'd be using all M'arrillians." Ruby pouted.
Jekyll just rolled his eyes.
"Since TheCrimsonReapr challenged MadDoctor, MadDoctor will be the first attacker."
Jekyll spun the location randomizer.
"The next location will be... Runic Grove."
"Gimwei attack Ustabe!" Jekyll said as both players were transformed.
Jekyll became a small flying squirrel-like creature with brown fur and white hair while Ruby became a creature that appeared to be made of golden steam or smoke in a humanoid shape that's also wearing gauntlets, greaves, and armor for it's torso and pelvis.
"Let's get chaotic!" They said.
Ustabe is moving through what appears to be a dead forest where every tree is covered in runes with one giant tree in the center of the forest towering over everything else.
Suddenly he's hit in the back by an Emberswarm and turns to see Gimwei standing on a branch.
"You want heat? Then how about an Infero Gust!" Ustabe fired an intense gust of flame at Gimwei. Gimwei jumped out of the way and the attack his the tree, burning off a branch and causing the tree to let out horrifying scream that practically guaranteed to be in your nightmares.
Gimwei was hidden behind another tree behind Ustabe and jumped out to fire a Delerium attack which dazes Ustabe.
"Megaroar!" Gimwei unleashes a loud blast of sound at Ustabe which codes him.
Back in the drome Gimwei was transforming back into Jekyll as Ruby was shocked.
"What was that?!" Ruby exclaimed. "I battle a Gimwei last week but he wasn't as strong as that."
"Little trick form the M'arrillians. When I have a chieftain like Erak'tabb on my team, certain creatures' abilities get a little 'change' when teamed up with him." Jekyll explained. "It just so happens for Gimwei to get the ability to boost all his disciplines whenever he deals a good chunk of damage, as well as having all his wisdom abilities get stronger."
Penny and Nora were watching the battle.
"This doesn't bode well for Ruby. Jekyll's creatures gain different abilities, giving him the element of surprise." Penny said.
"Yeah and that's not including all of Erak'tabb's creepy powers." Nora added.
"The next location is Sands of the Unseen."
"Ilx attack Nunk'worn!" Ruby declared as she transformed into a creature made of mist.
Jekyll meanwhile turned into a creature that has a pair of large purple bat wings,a purple snake-like he wears golden armor on his body, head and arms.
Nunk'worn is flying above a dark desert with patches of glowing sand when suddenly he heard an attack and dodged to the right, avoiding a lightning blast.
It was then he saw Ilx on the ground.
"Lavalanche!" Nunk'worn materialized an amber colored crystal in his hand and fired a blast of lava at Ilx who barely managed to dodge.
"Nunk'worn is already skilled at water and fire attacks but this amber shard makes me a triple threat! Landgore!" Nunk'worn fired an attack appearing to consist of multiple weapons based on the elements, including a flaming sword, and electric hammer, blue spears and a stone fist at Ilx. However Ilx turned invisible and avoided it as the attack hit nothing, making Nunk'worn gasp before getting shot in the back by an Inferno Gust and crashed into the ground.
Growling, Nunk'worn got up to see Ilx reappear, now holding a pyroblaster.
"Since when was could Ilx turn invisible?" Nunk'worn asked.
"At the Sands of the Unseen creatures with air can turn invisible." Ilx informed before aiming his pryoblaster and firing.
Nunk'worn countered with a blast of water and once the two attacks collided it created a large burst of steam. Ilx then used a Wind Slash to blow it all away tosee Nunk'worn nowhere in sight before getting frozen solid.
"That should keep you still." Nunk'worn said as he was flying up above before firing a Heat Rage attack at Ilx and coded him.
"The next location is the Riverlands."
"Gronmor attacks Takinom!"
Gronmor, a blue humanoid salamander creature wearing tech-based armor, is running through Riverlands before Takinom hit's him with an Inferno Gust and send him into the river where he's pushed by the current.
"Ice Disks!" Gronmor makes a disk made of ice and threw at Takinom but only managed to clip her wing, causing her to crash. This wasn't enough however as Gronmor fell over a waterfall and was coded
"Takinom attacks Gimwei!"
Giwmei was gliding out of the way of a Blaze Barrage before getting hit by flames and was coded
"Phelphor attacks Takinom!"
Phelphor, a red-skinned aquatic creature with a look similar to some sort of troll, was blasting Takinom with powerful blasts of water which were even strongr sine he was currently wearing a Torrent Krinth in the Everrain.
"Whirlwind Scythes!" Takinom fired blades of air at Phelphor and sent him flying into a lake.
'She think's she can get rid of me so easily?' Phelphor mentally growled.
Above the water Takinom was waiting with an attack ready.
'He's not coming back up.' She thought before deciding to dive in after him.
She looks around but can't see anything until a shadow looms over her.
Turning she gasps as Phelphor was now a large octopus like monster with his limbs having been transformed into tentacles. He then creates a spinning funnel of water like a whirlpool and launches it at Takinom, throwing her deeper into the water.
'Dang it, I made a horrible mistake and walked right into his territory. Not to mention I've never face a creature with water attacks this intense.' Takinom thought as she began to get pelted by a Hydro Balls attack before realizing something and smirking.
"Lightning Burst!" Takinom blasted Phelphor with a surge of electricity and coded him.
"Okaxor attacks Takinom!"
Takinom was avoiding punches by a Gigantroper before using a Discord of Disarming to destroy it and coding Okaxor with a Torrent of Flame.
"Nunk'worn attacks Ooloo."
At Glacier Plains Ooloo, a short humanoid creature who appeared to be made of red lava rocks, was shooting Flame Orbs at Nunk'worn who was flying in the air.
"Diminuendo!" Nunk'worn called out as a yellow beam of light shrunk Ooloo to tiny proportions. Nunk'worn then used a rock wave and coded Ooloo whose current size made it seem like a mountain was fell on him.
"Rarran attacks Nunk'worn!"
At Iron Pillar Rarran, a humanoid bat-like creature with bushy red eyebrows and red facial hair and wears a brown belt that is similar looking to a tool belt, as well as Nunk'worn are weaving through the maze that is Iron Pillar.
Rarran had lost Nunk'worn who was hiding behind a pipe and as soon as Rarran had passed him he shot him in the back and coded him.
"Nunk'worn attacks Kopond!"
Kopond was thrown off a cliff and got coded.
Back in the hub Penny and Nora were watching the match.
"Ruby's down to her last creature and Jekyll just won 3 battles in a row, things aren't looking good for her." Nora said.
"she still has a chance, Takinom is her best creature, she also still has a mugic left while Jekyll used all of his up." Penny noted
They then saw Takinom flying circles around Nunk'worn at Wooden Pillar.
"Perplexing Heat!" Nunk'worn said as he fired another attack, igniting part of the wood on fire.
Looking up, Takinom smirked. "Torrent of Flame!" She yelled as she unleashed a wave of fire at the wood above Nunk'worn, caausing it to ignite and begin falling onto Nunk'worn, coding him.
Takinom turned back into Ruby as both she and Jekyll appeared in the drome.
"Yes!" Ruby cheered. "Down to your last creature."
"I wouldn't be so cheery if I were you, chieftans aren't like the rest of the lower ranked M'arrillians." Jekyll said as he spun the randomizer.
"The next location shall be... the Riverlands, Erak'tabb's foothold."
"Erak'tabbs foothold?" Ruby said in confusion.
"I was lucky enough to get some scan's of certain locations while they acted as footholds for the chieftans." Jekyll said as he touched his card and became Erak'tabb while Ruby did the same and became Takinom.
"Let's get Chaotic!" Takinom yelled as Erak'tabb just created some sort of noise.
Unlike the previous time's Takinom has fought in the Riverlands this location was completely river with no land. It was completely flooded with murky green water.
Suddenly she was shot in the back by Erak'tabb and sent hurdling out of control towards the water but she fortunately managed to regain control right before hitting the water.
Erak'tabb then began to spin around rapidly while unleashing a barrage of Hydro Balls that were hitting everything in the area, including Takinom who was using her wings as shield.
"I've still got tricks up my sleeve!" She yelled as she revealed her battlegear, a Mugician's Lyre. Strumming she had gained a new Mugician.
"Canon of Casualty!" A red beam of light struck Erak'tabb, causing him to slowly stop spinning and fall into the water.
Takinom flies over the water, eyes scanning for where the M'arrillian was when suddenly Erak'tabbs tentacles popped out of the water and quickly wrapped themselves around her and dragged her into the water.
Struggling against his grip, Takinom tried to shock him. Realizing what she was about to do, Erak'tabb lets Takinom go and moves out of the way of the attack.
Takinom then used a wind slash but a green aura surrounded the area around Erak'tabb as the attack stopped dead in it's tracks just before reaching him, shocking Takinom.
"Sorry Takinom." She could hear his voice in her head. "Erak'tabb's Time Slow attack makes him a hard target to hit."
'Great, so he's in my head now?' Takinom mentally groaned.
"Yes."
Takinom then raised her arms for another attack but Erak'tabb was quicker and hit her with his own attack, brainwashing her.
Takinom then lowered her arms and stood still as Erak'Tabb used a Rainspears attack and fired dozens of small, spear shaped projectiles made of water and coded Takinom.
"The winner is MadDoctor."
"Aww." Ruby pouted. "I thought I had it."
"Sorry, not everyone can take down M'arrillians just like that." Jekyll said.
"Yeah but I was so close. Besides, they can't be that tough. Right?" She said.
"I once saw a guy win a 3v1 using just one chieftan like Erak'tabb, I'm pretty sure you're underestimating them." Jekyll told her as they walked out of the drome.
A/N: I've been thinking about it and I'm not sure if I'm going to include the rest of team RWBY in Chaotic. I might still include them but I'm not certain. I want to try and focus on some side and secondary characters.
On an unrelated note, recently I've been branching out of the RWBY fandom and recently got into My Hero Academia a bit so I may or may not make a story or two about it, so keep an eye out for that I guess.
One last thing, to those of you who follow me on AO3 (remember my username is Mechafreak119), my reaction stories are probably gonna update much more slowly than my stories here 'cause I wanna focus on my more original stories than my reaction stories and because that it can get tiresome to write some depending on how long whatever it is their reacting to is as well as having trouble coming up with proper reactions for everyone.
Also I intend to bring up codemasters soon.
