…Are you all right?" Fuyumi said, helping Chaira up.
"No." Chaira said, in shock. "Did you know?"
"No." Fuyumi said. "Did you? You knew him better than anyone."
"Even I didn't know, Fuyumi." Chaira said.
Nearby, Natsuo fluttered about in fright.
"Look! It's snowing! It's snowing!" Natsuo shouted. "Shoto cursed this land! He must be stopped!" Natsuo turned to the guards. "You have to go after him."
Fuyumi rushed up to Natsuo. "Wait, no!"
Himiko hid behind her guards and pointed out at Fuyumi. "You! Is there sorcery in you, too? Are you a monster, too?"
"No. No. Me and Natsuo have ice powers, but they are minor and in control." Fuyumi said.
"Monsters!" Himiko cried.
"Leave them alone!" Chaira defended.
"…my brother's not a monster." Fuyumi said. "None of us are."
"He nearly killed us!" Natsuo said.
"He just burned the stairs." Chaira snapped. "Not you."
"His fire!" Natsuo said.
"It was an accident. He was scared. He didn't mean it. He didn't mean any of this…. Tonight was my fault. I pushed him. So I'm the one that needs to go after him." Fuyumi said.
"Yes. Fine. Do." Natsuo said.
"What?" Chaira said, panicking.
"Bring me my horse, please." Fuyumi said to the Royal Handler.
"Fuyumi, no. It's too dangerous." Chaira said. "I'm his Guardian." Chaira stilled Fuyumi's horse. Fuyumi noticed that for some reason Chaira had what looked to be a shepherds crook or staff in her hands. Her hair was white. Her clothes were dark blue. "I will bring Shoto back. I promise."
"I'm coming with you." Fuyumi and Natsuo said together.
"Fuyumi, Natsuo, I need you here to take care of Arendelle." Chaira said. "I trust you both. You can do this."
"We will do you proud, Chaira." Fuyumi promised.
"I leave the Prince and Princess in charge!" Chaira said.
"Are you sure the King won't hurt you?" Natsuo said.
"He's Shoto; he would never hurt me." Chaira said. A shiver passed through her; though her power and memory had returned, even she had not escaped from Shoto's strike unscathed. She had to hurry.
She snapped the reins and rode out. Fuyumi watched after her. The snow picked up and formed a blizzard.
