July 6, 2006

Three days later, neither of the two guinea pigs had the chance to meet again. Kate felt like her experiment was going to be a disaster if she didn't act quickly. She taps on her computer, thinking about events that could bring the two guinea pigs together.

While Kate was struggling in her room. Teyla had organized a meditation lesson at the end of the day. Kendra had arrived early, dressed in a sports outfit with a crop top revealing her navel and jogging pants that hugged the shape of her slender legs.

The assistant had entered the room greeting the Athosian. Michael entered the room a few minutes later. Teyla had ordered the guards to stay outside. Teyla guides Kendra and Michael by intertwining her two legs.

The session took place in quiet silence, at least at first. The room was filmed by cameras hidden in the room. Kate looks at the two guinea pigs. They don't exchange a single glance. She had a bad habit of biting her thumbnail when things didn't go her way.

"Teyla!" Do something ! Kate shouts into the Athosian's microphone.

The Athosian grimaced. She releases a sigh as she relaxes and turns to her two students.

"I think we're going to change our method," Teyla said.

They nod in agreement.

"I suggest you connect your minds. Together," said the Athosian.

Kendra and Michael look at her, baffled by this method. The assistant shrugs as she follows the instructions. She approaches Michael, looking him straight in the eyes. She notices dark circles under her eyes.

"Can I touch you ?" She asks, calmly.

He responded with a positive nod. Teyla guides them by placing their hands together, their palms touching as they both close their eyes. Kate leans into the screens, focused.

They open their minds as a strange phenomenon occurs. Kendra raises her head, opening her eyes, she was in a trance. For his part, Michael lowers his head, finding himself in the same state. A psychic bond was created between them.

Kendra walks in a wraith cruiser, she passes armed soldiers who seem to bow their heads in her presence. She became a wraith. She growls while having green hair, green skin and sharp teeth.

She approaches a human, a native of a planet wearing medieval clothing. She dips her hand into his chest as she feeds. She delights in the suffering of her prisoner and feels invigorated by this food.

Kendra jumps as Teyla looks at the camera, she has been ordered not to intervene. Kate and Carson exchange an incomprehensible look. Ronon frowned while Elizabeth and Sheppard were focused on what was happening.

Michael was strapped to an operating table, struggling with all his might. Corpses of men and women surrounded him, lying naked and devoid of any identity. He wore a gray tunic, Goa'uld medical equipment was present.

A woman whose face was masked wearing elegant clothes slowly approaches, muttering inaudible things, in a hoarse voice and her eyes shining.

They open their eyes suddenly. Kendra pulled back, breathing heavily as Michael frowned. They are both sweating, showing worried faces. Kendra gets up and quickly leaves the room. For his part, Michael stands up, letting out a sigh. Teyla approaches him.

"Are you okay ?" asked the Athosian.

"Y-Yes," Lieutenant Kenmore stutters.

"I have to say, this is the first time I've seen something like this," Teyla confessed with concern.

"I felt like I was reading his mind. I feel like I created a bond with her," he says, blushing slightly.

Teyla shows a surprised face at his expression. Michael heard his heart beating rapidly in his chest, without really understanding it. For her part, Kate had left the room chasing her assistant. She finds her in her chambers, her hands resting on the railing.

"You saw things, didn't you ?" asks the psychologist.

"Don't ask me, please," Kendra begged.

"I understand and I'm not asking you. I just want to know how you felt," says Kate.

"Everything he felt. His mind is confused and searching for the truth. I felt like I had swapped my body with him. Like his soul was reflected in mine," Kendra explained, closing her eyes.

"It's a spiritually and physically interesting approach," says Kate.

"What happened, doctor?", his audience asked.

"I would say you formed a bond with him, without meaning to. The objective of the mediation was to leave his mind open," reveals the psychiatrist.

"And how do we break this bond ?" asked Kendra.

"I don't know. But, something tells me that the more you fight against this bond. The more it will consume you," she replied.

"Great," exclaims the assistant sarcastically.

Kate lends a comforting hand to ease Kendra's pain. The psychologist was subsequently summoned to the chief's office. She explained the situation to the other members of the project for a long hour.

Kendra came out of her room, dark circles under her eyes, she had trouble sleeping since the session. She walked, realizing that it was dark. She walks down one of the corridors and sits near a railing, getting some air. She felt like she was suffocating.

"Good evening…" greeted Michael.

"Oh, good evening," Kendra said looking at him.

They were both wearing different pajamas, white for Michael and dark blue for the young woman. She let her hair hang down her back. She realized that he was all alone, without any soldiers chasing him.

"You are alone… " She comments.

"Yes, I wanted some space. I hope this doesn't get me into trouble," Michael said jokingly.

She looks away, hinting at a smile. He approaches her, looking for approval in her eyes. She grants him, stepping back to give him room.

"It's a strange situation, isn't it ?" He asks.

"Yes…" She replied in a whisper.

"Do you have dreams too ?" Michael questions.

"What makes you think that ?" she probes.

"You have dark circles, like me. I must have had trouble sleeping just like you," unveils the young man.

"You are not wrong. Maybe we could talk about the dreams we have ?" she suggests.

"I agree,"does he accept.

"Alright. In that case, I'll start…" she muttered.

She breathes in and out to calm her tremors. She raises her head, looking at the vast ocean that surrounds the city.

"I'm in a wraith cruiser, walking through the corridors of the ship as the monster in question myself. I go up to the prisoners and feed on their life force. And I feel invigorated after a good meal. And that's when I wake up," she explains while catching her breath.

"You were the wraith in question... but that doesn't make sense…" he whispers in bewilderment.

"Yes, it's very strange. But, I still have the same dream since the meditation session," specifies the young woman.

They exchange a look. She parted her lips for something but the words were stuck in her throat. He takes his turn.

"I'm tied up in a strange room with corpses surrounding me and I'm dressed in some kind of gray tunic and a woman approaches me. But, I can't see her face and in the end, she says things with a hoarse voice but I don't understand what she's saying to me. She comes closer to me and her eyes shine and that's when I wake up," He explains.

Kendra grips the railing, her eyes wide at Michael's words, she turns pale, her heart beating rapidly. She understood that he had seen a fragment of her past, just as she had. The evidence jumped out at him.

"Do you know what these dreams mean ?" he questions.

She didn't answer. She lowers her head, her body trembling. He frowns when he sees her state, he places a hand on her shoulders and jumps, pulling back. She was panicked.

"I-I have to go…" she stammered, leaving him hanging.

She started running through the city and arrived in front of Kate's apartments. She quickly taps on the doors, waking up the psychologist. The latter put on a bathrobe and opened the doors to her room.
