Logan Huntzberger sat down at his desk in his new brand new office in New York City. Upon returning to the East Coast, he decided to do what he really wanted to do - use profits he earned by selling his two new companies. He could help other new companies by opening an incubator of sorts by having a venture capital firm. He could provide guidance and funds for dozens of micro businesses, all while he made a great living off of the interest of the original profits. Logan was excited about finding people with good ideas and helping them bring those ideas to life. He wanted to get involved in any area that he felt he could add value and support young people. So far, he had invested in 24 new ideas. He knew that he would lose a lot of money doing this, but he had it to lose. He wanted to help the people who had great ideas but no money and no guidance. Lots of technology, software, a cooking gadget, water filters and a device for prosthetics were among the investments that were supported by his company.

Logan's current predicament was a name for the company. Currently everything was registered to Logan Huntzberger Ventures, LLC but that wasn't going to cut it long term. He needed a marketing person, an administrative assistant, furniture and every other thing that people need in a brand new office. But it was all going to happen and he wasn't in a hurry. Logan never before remembered being excited to go to work, but he was now. He could wear whatever he wanted, work where ever he wanted and only went to the office if he had a meeting. Otherwise, he lived out of his laptop and cellphone. He would hire people as he needed them but he didn't feel like he needed any of that right away. He loved the freedom of having all of these decisions up in the air. The best part was that his parents didn't understand it at all.

Years ago, Logan took a risk and invested in a company he believed in. He jumped too fast and lost millions of dollars, but he didn't regret it. He learned so much from that bad decision. He learned about research, speaking to experts and calculated risks. The other risk he took that same month was proposing to Rory. He popped the question and refused to compromise. He went all in and lost her forever. But, he didn't regret that either. She was the first woman he ever loved and he went for it. He declared his feelings for her in front of her whole family, the entire DAR and half of Hartford. Even though she turned him down, it taught him about love and what he wanted. He previously had no idea that he wanted to be a family man one day - with blocks all over the floor and Disney on repeat in the car. One day, he would have the courage to ask someone else to join him in his dream. But that day was a long way from today.

Thinking about what to do tonight, Logan dialed Finn.

Finn answered quickly, "LOGAN FUCKING HUNTZBERGER! How the fuck are you!"

"Why are you screaming like that," Logan asked in a normal, bewildered tone although he heard lots and lots of noise on Finn's side of the call.

Finn screamed into the phone, "What? I can't hear a thing! I'm testing out jet engines!"

Logan's eyes widened, "Why on Earth are you testing out jet engines?"

"MATE, I CAN'T HEAR A THING YOU'RE SAYING! I'M TEN FEET FROM A JET ENGINE!" Finn shouted. "I'LL CALL YOU LATER!" and hung up.

Logan laughed and laughed as he stared at his iPhone. 'Some things never change,' he thought as he shook his head.

Logan remembered a phone number he got the previous night. On his way home, he stopped at a local bar to grab a drink and relax. As he sipped his scotch, a dark haired woman in a tight skirt and high heels chatted him up. She was probably in sales or an attorney or something. He didn't know and didn't bother to ask. She batted her eyelashes at him until he thought they might fall off. But she was pretty, and seemed like she could carry a conversation, at least enough to get through dinner. It had been 2 months since Logan had been on a date, so he decided to see if she was free.

He dialed her number and pressed SEND. "Hello?" she answered right away. "This is Clare."

"Clare, hi. Its Logan... we met last night at Easton's," Logan responded. As soon as he said that he heard "Baby, who's on the phone?" from a man's deep voice in the background.

She stammered a little and finally said, "Um, no... it wasn't me. You have the wrong number," and clicked off the call.

Logan chuckled as he stared at his phone in his hand. He laughed because she was obviously in a relationship yet still hit on him. He literally sat there minding his own business. Clare approached him, flirted, rubbed his arm, chatted and left her card. He should get Finn together with her because that was a 'Finn move' if he had ever seen one.

After that bit of comedy, he decided that the evening should be food delivery and something on TV. He didn't want to press his luck. He quickly ordered dinner for one again and started his short walk home. As Logan crossed the street, he noticed a woman screaming. He was never one to want to get involved with frantic strangers, but no one else was around. Without thinking, he rushed over to her and asked, "Do you need some help?" He noticed that she was VERY pregnant and was breathing funny. She nodded yes while breathing hard. He then asked her, "Can I help you to the bench?" She nodded vigorously while he put his arm around her shoulder to help her lower herself to the bench. She was breathing strangely, repeating the pattern of 'Woo,who,he,he,woo, who,he,he' so he asked, "Can I call someone for you?" In between breaths, she said 'Ambulance." He dialed 911 and sat down next to her to wait with her. This night just escalated quickly.
