Katawa Shoujo- Afternoon
Well it's Monday… Lenny never thought that the weekend would come and go so fast, it was only yesterday when time really sped up and it turned out that summer vacation was only a couple weeks away. For the next three days, it was tests as that meant that all hands on deck were focused on them.
Hisao and Lenny leave the room after finishing their first exam and breathe a sigh of relief. As Lenny hoped, the exams weren't so bad. He managed to breeze through just about everything but the English exam coming up will prove to be more of a struggle. And even that was acceptable. Lenny wondered how Emi did. Even more so, how she's doing; she looked like she was on the edge. Lenny meant, she was pretty happy to be out of her wheelchair, but she was so exhausted. Something's been wearing her down, and he started to really doubt that it was just the exams. Should Lenny confront her about this, though? His musing with Hisao and Hanako is interrupted by a tap on the shoulder.
"Hey, Hisao. Got a minute?" Mutou asked. The three of them turned their heads around to see what was going on. Mutou had a few questions for them.
"Yeah, I've got some time. Nowhere important to be or anything like that." Hisao expressed to Mutou that he didn't need to be anywhere right this moment, there was a few minutes he and his friends could spare. Mutou raises an eyebrow as if questioning my statement, then beckons them back into the classroom.
"I wanted to get some feedback from you, if I could. I know that this course wasn't quite up to your level, especially for your friends..." Mutou began speaking to Hisao for his feedback.
"Don't worry about it. The science club activities more than made up for it. It gave Lenny and Hanako time to catch up." Hisao explained to Mutou that he was more than happy when it came to these types of events.
"Hmm, did they? Well in fact, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. Do you think that was a worthwhile activity? Just for my own reference." Mutou asked if he should host more clubs like this to help struggling students catch up. Hisao began to ponder about this for a moment.
"Well yeah, it was a great way to go further than we did in class. It was definitely worthwhile." Hisao explained. He looked back to Hanako and Lenny who nodded with agreement, they actually enjoyed something like this. Mutou seems delighted by Hisao's response.
"That's great! Exactly the sort of thing I was hoping for. You know, Hisao, I'm glad you came here with your friends. It's always good to have a student who really gets into the subject you teach. In a way, it makes dealing with the rest of the students more tolerable. You're a bright kid, too. You took to this stuff like a duck to water, or some other such simile. Lenny is much the same way as you, he's a bright kid and if you do get into university, have Lenny and Hanako stick close to you, you three make a good group to teach." Mutou explained that this was a bit of advice he was going to give to Hisao that would definitely mean something worthwhile.
"Er, thanks. You were a great help. Especially with that college stuff." Hisao explained to Mutou. Mutou nodded from this statement with some approval.
"There's one more thing, Hisao. A bit of advice, from one scientist to another." Mutou would explain to Hisao about the advice he was going to give.
"What's that?" Hisao asked. Mutou had another question to serve as the hook to the conversation.
"What does a scientist do?" Mutou asked Hisao.
"Observe the world around him." Hisao responded. Mutou nodded with approval.
"Exactly. Good. A simple question, but one that most people can't seem to answer. That's the essence of a scientist, Hisao. We observe what's there, and try to figure it out. But what if there's something you can't figure out? What's a scientist to do if he can't observe something? How, for example, can we talk about quarks when nobody has ever actually seen one? Or black holes when observing them directly is impossible?" Mutou would ask something to Hisao to see if he could formulate a response.
"Well, scientific equipments pretty advanced..." Hisao attempted to explain as he didn't know what the answer was at first. Mutou irritably waves away Hisao's response.
"No, that's not it at all. Those are tools, I'm trying to give you a philosophy. Think. If you can't observe something directly, then how can you observe it?" Mutou explained to Hisao before asking another question.
"Uh, guess?" Hisao responded. Lenny and Hanako were doing their best to pay attention thinking this was important.
"How? How would you guess the movement of a quark? What is your guess based on?" Mutou would ask Hisao he would have guessed, will there be an error or some kind? Of course. Hisao should have thought of it earlier.
"The things it affects." Hisao answered feeling a little more confident this time around. Mutou claps his hands together excitedly and whoops.
"Yes, exactly. Good. Remember that, Hisao. If you can't examine something directly, it's because you're looking at it wrong. You have to look at it differently if you want to uncover the truth. And if it eludes you, then look at what it leaves behind. That is the essence of being a scientist. We never stop looking for the answer. Never take anything for granted. Observe, experiment, and observe some more. There's a lot of stuff out there that makes no sense, Hisao. Your job is to get it to make sense. If nothing else, I hope you've learned that here." Mutou told Hisao and his friends to try to make sense of the situation, observe the environment, make some experiments and get the results.
"I think I can remember that." Hisao told Mutou that this was something he could remember. Mutou smiles, satisfied.
"Good. If you don't know anything a bit further down the line, your notes will come in handy or you can write to me. Now go enjoy your time off. You three earned it." Mutou expressed to Hisao and his friends that they should enjoy their summer off. Hisao smiled as the three of them began to walk out of the classroom.
"See that wasn't so bad huh? We still have an hour and a half for our lunch. This is good. Hopefully you can ace the next class, this will be smooth sailing for us." Hisao explained to Lenny. Lenny smiled at this with some level of excitement.
"I think most of the classes I got nailed down." Lenny explained to Hisao. He was looking forward to the challenge that must've lay ahead.
"Good to hear. Remember what Mutou said to us, if there's something we don't remember, we can just ask for clarification. Keeping an open mind on this is crucial if we are to go forward." Hisao explained to Lenny what they took away from the meeting.
"You seem to know more than me sometimes." Lenny explained to Hisao, Hisao gave a nod and a smile. Pleased to hear what Lenny had said.
"That's good. Mutou was pleased to hear about that despite the short amount of time you spent with us. It feels like everything has gone by so quickly within the past couple of weeks of you joining us and now it's almost summer break." Hisao explained to Lenny. "You handled the work that was given to you despite the fact you always came asking for more to do."
"Hey doctor said I didn't need to do as much due to my condition and I always felt bored because of it." Lenny explained. They continued to chat as they then bumped into Kenji. Kenji's glasses had been shattered, looking rather ruffed up with his hair like he managed to get into a fight with someone. Even his clothes showed visible tears with a black eye on the cracked lens.
Katawa Shoujo- Out of the Loop
"Oh, it's you." Hisao began. Kenji was pissed, so much so as he had gotten himself into a fight and lost. He looked at them with a rather vengeful fury in his eyes.
"It's me? That's it? If you had any idea what I'd been through, what I'd done, you'd be happier to see me, dude. I mean that was some epic, you-may-never-see-me-again shit. And here you're just acting like I went down to the store for some milk. You're a cold man, Hisao. I really respect that." Kenji began. He felt like he was a raving nut job, rather ruffled up on what exactly happened.
"Uh, thanks, I guess." Hisao nervously replied. Hanako and Lenny didn't say a word to express what happened. Kenji's ire left him a bit as he began to explain to Hisao what he wanted to say.
"It's smart to play it safe, you know. Don't show any emotion. Keep your cards close to your chest. Unless it's time to show your cards, or you have bad cards. Then you should fold or collect your winnings. Do you understand?" Kenji explained. He didn't exactly wanted them to figure out what happened so he was making a bunch of stuff up.
"Yeah, that makes perfect sense. I take it the uh, mission went well?" Hisao asked Kenji about the feminist infiltration that had occurred last week. Kenji became defensive about it.
"Woah, awfully nosy of you, isn't it? You can't just go saying things like that! Things are at a delicate stage! One wrong move, and BAM! The invasion succeeds!" Kenji explained before clapping his hands together. Was this a play to get Hisao to do what he wanted from him and Kenji just lied about this. Why was he beaten up so badly then and more importantly very recently too.
"I thought you were going to blow the conspiracy wide open?" Hisao asked Kenji if he was able to succeed in his mission. Kenji recoiled back and began to explain.
"It's bigger than I thought; I need to update my charts. And probably change some of the puppets around. You wanna help? I've got some whiskey from... somewhere. You can fill me in on everything your investigation has turned up." Kenji explained. Hisao took note, probably the same whiskey he used to trash the library.
"Er, better not. I'm uh... supposed to meet her today. Gotta go do that. Can't raise suspicion." Hisao explained that he needed to make a meeting with someone and he didn't want to keep himself waiting. Kenji nods in approval.
"Still keeping it close to the chest, eh? Okay man, I respect that. Good luck." Kenji explained with a bit of a twisted smile to Hisao, he liked where this was going.
"Er, thanks." Hisao told Kenji as he and his friends left. Lenny was still curious but kept his mouth shut until they got far away from Kenji.
"What exactly happened, why is he this beaten up?" Lenny asked Hisao if he had an explanation.
"Well Yuuko and a couple of her friends found Kenji's last stash of books where he had hidden, a fight broke out from what Yuuko told us and Kenji was beaten badly. Yuuko didn't lay a finger on Kenji but she told me she solved the Yamaku cat burglar case." Hisao explained to Lenny about what happened the day before. Lenny thought Yuuko did pretty well to get the missing books back.
"Can I thank her?" Lenny asked Hisao.
"I'll thank her for you. Get yourself down to the track, Emi is waiting for you." Hisao explained to Lenny. He needed to find Emi and run with her if he was to improve his health. Lenny nodded before he parted ways to go find Emi.
Katawa Shoujo- Ease
Lenny would feel a lot better after a run, like no matter what else he does today, He's at least done that one thing. It wakes him up, too, and Emi herself said that running always clears her mind. Maybe it'll help clear his mind too. Lenny hopes so. The morning is cool and clear, if a bit humid. Summer's making itself known, it seems. Emi's already stretching out when I arrive, and greets me with a smile and a wave.
"Hey, Lenny! I have some news for you." Emi greeted him with a wave. The sight of her so chipper is like a kick to the ball. Emi was still happy after the weekend, but didn't she have problems? How was she so good at hiding them? Lenny gives a half wave and is surprised to receive a hug.
"What's the news about?" Lenny asked. Emi paused as she began to think about what exactly she was going to say to Lenny and how she was going to bring it up.
"I got a word from Meiko that everything is being finalized and it seems to me that you'll be spending the summer with us." Emi began. Lenny nodded that this was something he was going to look forward to at first, but he was still nervous about the next part. Here it comes.
"I wanted to say thanks to Meiko and Akira. I actually managed to get some sleep for the first time in a while, and I think it's because of the news regarding that you'll be in our care. So, thanks, I am grateful for this." Emi began talking to Lenny. Her expression drooped as she wanted to say something else, but she didn't feel comfortable about saying it. "I wish my dad would be able to hear about this." Lenny felt like he had been hit twice, the first hit was the fact that how could she sleep better after Meiko's chat with her? She basically told Lenny that she managed to secure his welfare from his own parents while good meant that he wasn't going to see what was left of his family. And that lets her sleep well? Excuse me, but what the hell Emi? The second hit was Emi mentioning her father which caused Lenny to come down onto a knee that his heart was starting to bother him again, despite the medicine he was taking. Emi either doesn't notice Lenny's bafflement or chooses not to notice. No telling with her anymore. Lenny sighed before getting back up to his feet.
"Oh, no problem. Glad it helped." Lenny admitted he felt defeated, unable to press on with his own future at the moment, well there should come another moment to explain this. The venom that threatens to drip into Lenny's voice is controlled for now, but he thinks he'd better start running now, before he does or says anything stupid. Emi seemed equally willing to get started, and before long we're darting around the track. Lenny can tell she feels more relaxed. Her running has gone back to the more graceful movements he can remember from when he first watched her. It's a stark contrast to the almost brutal way she's been hurling herself around the track these past few days. The talk and Lenny's security about his future being taken care of really does seem to have helped her. A pity it couldn't help Lenny. Lenny got into the rhythm of the running, thinking back to when he couldn't afford thinking about anything else but keeping my breathing steady and legs moving. Guess those days are gone. At least for the first couple of laps. Lenny was still having trouble. Worried about his mother not being there to help him, he tried to shake his head to clear the thought.
Annoyed at the lack of success Lenny was having with clearing his head, Lenny decided to increase the pace. Ah, there's the burning sensation in his legs. The breaths coming ragged in his chest, the pounding of his heart. Which Lenny still needed to be careful about. But it does seem to have gotten stronger but possibly weaker at the same time, he couldn't tell; Lenny can feel it pumping blood through his veins. The sound thrums in my ears, but instead of being panicked as he was that day in the snow, he instead filled with elation. Yes, it's working! His heart, that fatal flaw that landed me here, has improved somewhat. He's able to keep going now, and maybe one day Lenny will be able to stop worrying as much. Right now, it doesn't matter that he has no idea what to do about Emi and himself. All that matters is that his arms and legs continue to pump in concert with one another. Nothing else. Eventually reality had to hit as Emi turned her head to Lenny with a smile then her phone began to ring. Lenny surged ahead to let Emi take the call.
As Lenny hits the final stretch, he reminds himself that running really does help, though not as much as he'd hoped. He certainly does feel better, and as Emi catches up after hanging up from the phone, Lenny begins to remember last weekend in a slightly less emotional manner. Emi wanted him to have fun with her and Hanako. Lenny brought himself to do so. Emi's words from what he picked up were still the obstacle to the future. There's got to be a way around this, some kind of middle ground Lenny can reach. Not sure what that middle ground is, though. Emi caught up as Lenny was preparing to take a few laps around to cool off a bit and they could have lunch.
"Nice run, Lenny! You've really improved!" Emi began. Lenny nodded but he began to think about what was going on. Nice run. That's all he can hope for now, isn't it? Congratulations, Lenny. You're pathetic. Lenny knew he had to change his attitude.
"Well, thanks." Lenny calmly expressed. Emi knew about this as she saw Lenny feel more withdrawn compared to what happened earlier today. And yet Lenny just had to keep saying things that he didn't mean. Any second now he wouldn't be as good at hiding my problems as Emi is.
"I like to think so." Emi replied. She paused, seeing the change of attitude, she began to think, was it a good idea to press about what she heard on the phone and tell Lenny about it or hide it like how she hides her feelings. "Hey Lenny, I want to talk to you before we leave the track, it's the phone call from Meiko…" Emi began, she had to press the truth to Lenny about this. "Your mother has overdosed again." Emi explained to Lenny. This mixture of exercising and the news isn't going to sit well. Lenny felt his heart beat faster and faster. Even while walking, Lenny fell to the ground. One hand on his chest and him on his knees, he didn't know exactly how he was going to react to all of this. Emi looked back, she was terrified of what she said.
Katawa Shoujo- Breathlessly
"Emi." Lenny wheezed, he didn't know how to control himself after receiving the news.
"Lenny! Are you okay, I didn't want to say this but I had to. Meiko said everything is going to be fine." Emi was more or less concerned about her friend.
"But my mother? Is she going to be okay? Did Meiko say anything about her?" Lenny asked, he struggled to collect himself regarding the whole family situation. Emi didn't know how well Lenny was taking this as she attempted to stand him up.
"She did, but she wishes you were in good hands, Akira is going to finish the case and we'll have a place for you, okay?" Emi told Lenny that he needed to hang in there for just a little while longer, the case will hopefully be complete by the time we get to next week." Emi told Lenny to hold on while she stood him up. Lenny meanwhile wasn't feeling like himself after he heard about the news.
"I hope so. If you need to, help me back to the building." Lenny explained to Emi. Emi smiled as she began to help Lenny back to the building.
It always felt strange that hearing bad news could cause someone to shrivel up and wanting to hide, Lenny was no different to Emi, the case regarding the condition of his family and his mother's health had gotten to him. He hadn't seen her in months and the words coming from Meiko must've hurt him a lot. Emi carefully carried Lenny away from the track, she began to think of what it would feel like to lose a family member, it was difficult and for Lenny, he was having it rough. Although another incident could have happened on the field but for Emi, she knew she couldn't keep hiding it. She had to find the courage to speak up about what was happening.
Even though Monday seemed to be difficult for Lenny to process what was happening, the rest of the finals were a breeze. However, the problem remained outside of academics. Wednesday was just the last test and the students had the afternoon off. It would be better if he and Emi split for the rest of the finals and it was the best choice Lenny could have made for his own sanity.
An art festival for the students who completed their paintings for the Trimester. Rin however felt off, more than half of the paintings were created by her but to Rin, something felt missing. Rin stood there at the entrance of the festival, there was nothing she could really do. Misha walked up to Rin with Shizune close by. She wanted to see how Rin was doing.
"What's the matter Rin, are you engaged with the entire club or not?" Misha asked Rin if there was something wrong with her.
"No, I feel like I haven't been able to talk to him or something." Rin began. Shizune made a few rapid gestures with her hands, trying to say something to Misha.
"Who?" Misha asked. Shizune became frustrated as she made a few more hand gestures to Misha spelling out his name. "Him? Why would Rin have some kind of interest in him?" Shizune's hands darted trying to get Misha to understand her in what she was saying.
"Him. Oh right. I think the whole thing is I wanted to befriend him and give him a painting which you wouldn't allow me to do." Rin explained her grievances, she didn't know what she was going to do.
"Should we give him a painting to show how you really feel?" Misha asked Rin. Shizune began to sign more to Misha, telling her what to do about this, maybe she can figure out what to get Shizune to say, she pointed to Misha that she was doing things incorrectly.
"No, all of my best paintings have already been sold." Rin explained to Misha and Shizune. Rin looked away and back at the exit of the festival, she wanted to go see what was up in the park area and figure out an adventure for herself.
"What do you want to do then?" Misha asked Rin if she had any ideas of what she wanted to do. Rin was thinking of leaving this event and going for a walk in the park, she would have to make up something to get her out of there.
"Probably go to my dorm or something to take my mind off of the event. I wasn't willing to do much of this at all but I came to attend with the rest of the club." Rin explained that she most likely wanted to go back to her dorm. Misha began to think about it. She looked at Shizune who made a couple of signs telling Rin to stay and spend the rest of her time at the festival.
"Okay I'll tell Shinichi what's up and why you want to leave." Misha explained to Rin. Shizune signed as this was something she didn't want her to say. Rin feeling grateful that she was able to leave, turned and got up.
"Off to play Trainz." Rin told them as she casually walked off back to her dorm, she was merely tricking them by going the long way to the park, she was going to enjoy herself regarding what was happening.
"What did she say?" Misha asked. Shizune signed furiously at Misha for getting her intentions incorrect. She then got out the sketch book Rin was holding onto her before she began to flip through the pages of the book, was this her hobby she mentioned by all of the locomotives? "Oh… that."
Katawa Shoujo- Nocturne
Hisao was leading the way with Hanako and Lilly, they were going to spend the afternoon in the park to discuss what was going on regarding what happened on Monday regarding the whole track incident. Emi was with them as she was important to the whole event that she witnessed first hand. They walked together as they were approaching the entrance to the hill of the school, one that would tire even experienced runners like Miki or Emi down before reaching the top. They continued to travel along the path and up the hill. Emi was carrying the picnic basket behind them but even for a casual walk, the hill still presented challenges, they were growing exhausted as the winding path of the hill made it difficult to reach the top. After a while they decided to come to a stop, this hill was too much for them.
"Augh! I hate Galveston Hill, what now?" Hisao groaned, he was frustrated over the fact that this hill was notoriously difficult to get up.
"We'll have to wait until help arrives." Emi explained.
"Everything else is tiring. Well, it's the only plan we got." Hanako explained to the group thinking they must wait until someone came to rescue them. Hanako and the group didn't have to wait long however as Lenny was close by and exploring the park by himself. He spotted the group that was stranded and walked up to them. Sensing the picnic basket was kind of heavy, he decided to pick it up and began to carry it for them. He then pointed out that the shortest route to the top was to go through the vegetation along a dirt path. Hanako was surprised by who was helping them, "Wait… I thought help wasn't supposed to come for another half hour."
"I think I know who it is." Emi explained as Lenny lead them up the hill. Within a few minutes, they reached the top there wasn't much struggle going up this path. After a bit, Lenny decided to take a look around before heading back down the hill for a bit. He wanted to see if he left anything behind. After putting down the picnic basket, he headed down the hill.
Is it… is it true that Lenny helped us up that hill?" Hanako asked but why would it be him in particular that would come to their rescue.
"I think so, Lenny probably was the only one close enough to get to us that quickly." Emi explained to Hanako. Hanako smiled at the news though this wasn't going to be much as Hisao and Lilly were unpacking the picnic basket.
"I'm impressed, he's come a long way." Hanako explained. She knew that Lenny despite his disability seemed to be a very different person compared to when they first met. Even if his family situation was falling apart, Lenny tried his best to remain positive no matter how much of a struggle it was. Hanako walked off to help Hisao and Lilly set the area up. Lenny came to the area as a bit more progress was being made with Emi sitting alone. Lenny sat next to her.
"Was it you that helped us out today Lenny?" Emi asked Lenny if he was the one who helped her out.
"Yes I… I wanted to help my friends." Lenny explained to Emi that he was seeing something more with Emi and her friends. Emi smiled thinking Lenny was still attempting to make progress.
"You did a fine job today. Come join us for the picnic, you earned it." Emi told Lenny he was more than welcome to stay, Lenny nodded.
"Okay." Lenny told Emi. Lenny decided to look around a bit to find a spot to rest and plop himself down. Emi walked over to Hanako as she had something to ask her.
"What do you think this means?" Hanako asked Emi regarding Lenny's condition and how he was interacting with them.
"I think it means he's starting to feel comfortable around here." Emi replied. Hanako turned to the chessboard Hisao finished setting up while Emi turned to Lenny who was taking a nap under a tree. It was clear that the past two days he wasn't sleeping well.
"Why is Lenny so tired?" Lilly asked, she noticed him being somewhat distant from the group, she was starting to feel worried about what was going on.
"He hasn't been able to sleep well for the past couple of days when he found out about his mother." Emi explained to Lilly what exactly was going on.
"You're not that good at keeping secrets?" Lilly asked Emi that she must've been a worse secret keeper than the Nurse.
"Neither are you." Emi replied, she wasn't being rude to Lilly but the mere fact that no one knew when to keep their lips shut was something they had to agree with. Emi walked over to Lenny who was fast asleep, Emi sensed this was peaceful and decided to lay on him. Emi was either a cat or a puppy. She just cuddled into Lenny to try to provide some comfort.
"What can this mean for our friend?" Hisao asked while he was trying to balance between the conversation and the chess game.
Katawa Shoujo- Air Guitar
"Not exactly sure. I can call Akira later to see how this is coming along to say the least. She'll be visiting this weekend as she plans on taking us out to some kind of event but for Lenny, I can't say he will have a straightforward conclusion." Lilly explained to Hisao as Hisao finishes a move.
"What do you mean?" Hisao asked curiously, was Lenny's path going to be winding around like the path on the hill?
"Akira told me what happened to his father months ago and it explains why his mother is like this. Akira says that keeping him separated from his mother if she recovers is the best thing that is going to go forward. If we had them reunite, then I can't say it'll end for the best. Lenny is empathetic yet he takes a long time to get comfortable around us. He got comfortable with Emi surprisingly quickly which I was glad to hear about but he definitely took longer to get comfortable. Hanako was the one to befriend him despite the fact that she doesn't trust many people." Lilly explained to Hisao that Lenny's info was coming through from Akira.
"But what about that heart attack he had, was there something connected to that. I mean my heart gave out months ago and they never really seem to connect it to any sort of family turmoil or something like that. Could it be that Lenny might be suffering from emotional distress thus triggering his heart in the first place?" Hisao asked Lilly if this was going to be the case regarding how his heart condition was triggered.
"Possibly. I got news from Meiko Ibarazaki from Akira that he needs someone to be close to him when all of this happens. Emi is doing her job very well as I rarely see them separate unless Emi says something is up. I guess he never really had that back in his old school." Lilly explained the delicate balance that was Lenny's heart and his own emotions that everyone didn't want to have them run away.
"Could explain what Iwanako sent to me regarding him. She says she misses him but at the same time thinks she's bad luck with the both of us. I say that this is false, Iwanako would never do something like this." Hisao explained to Lilly regarding his friend. He began to think of the snow covered field and Iwanako confessed that she wanted to go out with him for the first time.
"She's just nervous about meeting the both of you. She's only looking out for her friend, I mean she and Lenny are friends right?" Lilly asked Hisao if this was true and Iwanako's inner feelings were holding her back a bit.
"Believe so, I wish there was more we can do to figure out how to make him feel better." Hisao explained to Lilly thinking that Iwanako wanted to speak to him and Lenny but didn't work up any courage to do so. For Lilly, this was something else.
"Maybe, I can arrange something for next week before Summer vacation begins." Lilly explained to Hisao.
"Okay. I'll do it for my friend." Hisao explained. Then Rin showed up out of the blue and looked at them.
"I came to see what was happening and by the looks of things nothing much is happening." Rin explained.
"You're more than welcome to stay." Hisao replied. Rin sensed that it was pointless to hike back to her dorm, she might as well spend some time out here. "Shh, don't disturb Emi, she's asleep with someone." Hisao told her. Rin nodded before she sat down in the grass.
"Anything new?" Rin asked.
"Nothing much tests are complete and we'll be waiting for the results." Lilly explained.
"Good to hear. Say is anyone going to help me when I move my stuff out of my dorm?" Rin asked any of her friends. Lenny and Emi were fast asleep.
"I will, why are you moving your stuff?" Hisao asked Rin thinking she was going to rearrange her dorm for some reason.
"I need to clean it out, Yamaku staff have reported a leak coming in from my dorm so they need to clear it out and repair the leak, they think it's a busted pipe or something." Rin explained to Hisao.
"Okay so are you staying in your dorm as of currently?" Hisao asked Rin if this was something she was doing as of currently.
"Yeah I am, I have to put up with the leak for the time being and it's dripping onto some of my artwork and ruining the paper." Rin explained to Hisao.
"Okay Rin, I'll help you move the mess." Hisao sighed, something for a friend. He looked over to see Emi and Lenny sleeping under the tree as Lenny was starting to feel uncomfortable. He seemed to be gripping the grass a bit harder and harder. Hisao began to wonder, should he wake Lenny up if he was having a nightmare?
"Please don't leave me." Lenny muttered, he didn't know what he was letting go of, he was feeling his heart race. Emi was resting on top of him as she felt his heart beat increase significantly.
"Calm down Lenny, calm down. I'll be here." Emi carefully explained to Lenny. She gently patted his head while Lenny felt his heart calming down on him. Emi snuggled up on Lenny while she felt like she was the only source of warmth to him.
"She really cares for him. It will be a shame for them to separate." Rin explained. Hisao continued to watch, they seemed to be so happy together, like he and Hanako. This was indeed something he was going to see when Lenny achieved being able to stand on his own two feet.
Sunset came and the students headed back to Yamaku. Lenny felt a little better being with his friends, they had gotten off of the hill regarding everything that happened. For Lenny, it was just a countdown to Summer Vacation, running with Emi possibly as there wasn't much he can do. Maybe this weekend will breathe some excitement back. Who knows?
[A/N]: Finally, the finals are here and gone, for everyone, there is a several days wait before the vacation truly begins. Hopefully this act will conclude in the next chapter or so and therefore we can get to the final act with all of this. See you later. Goodbye.
