-The Hero Of Time-

Link paced back and forth in his room. Today was the day. He wasn't ready to face Zelda in the eye. He heard a knock on his door and his heart nearly jumped out of his chest.

The woman smiled at him and made her way inside. Link was surprised to see… Kirby? What is she doing here? Today is the day he is suppose to-

"Hi, Link!" Kirby greeted.

"Hey, Kirby. Um, whatcha up to?"

"Well, I gotta tell you something."

"Kirby, I want to listen, but Zelda is coming over soon."

"Oh… Oh I'm sorry. Ok, don't worry about me for now. I'll tell you later."

Link stopped Kirby. Zelda wasn't coming over in a little bit anyway. He was curious about what Kirby had to say. Also, seeing her leave made him feel lonely. He knew that Zelda is on her way, but he thought he can sneak in some Kirby time.

"Wait! She's coming in about 30 min. I have some spare time."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, what did you want to talk about?"

"It's about Mario."

Link panicked. Is there another man he has to worry about? First Little Mac and now Mario? Seriously? The plumber? He has a girlfriend! Oh no, she's gonna say she has feelings for him. It's gonna suck. It's gonna suck so bad. Stay calm, Link. She hasn't said anything about Mario yet. Listen to her first then react.

"Ok, what about him?" Link tried to play it cool.

"He's… I think he's trying to get rid of me."

"What!"

"He sent Dark Pit after me."

"Is that why that bird fuck attacked you?!"

"Excuse me?"

"Uh… Sorry I didn't mean to say that."

"Do you not like Dark Pit?"

"I don't like what he did to you."

"It was a misunderstanding."

"HE STRAIGHT UP TRIED TO KILL YOU!"

"It was a misunderstanding. I get it."

"You're going to let it slide?"

"Sure."

"Kirby that's not ok."

"It's fine. Anyway Mario wouldn't be a problem to me, but..." She gestures to herself.

"Right, you're not as powerful in this form. In fact, I'm curious. How did you beat Dark Pit?"

"I punched him. Many times."

"Ok, but without your powers, how did you win?"

"He underestimated me," Kirby struck a cocky pose.

"Hahaha!"

"Anyway, serious time."

"Oh right, go on."

"Mario is after me, and I'm not sure what to do about it."

"What is he saying?"

"He's telling people lies! He knows I'm the real Kirby, but he's twisting the story to the other smashers. That's why Dark Pit attacked me."

"He's using everyone against you."

"Exactly, and… honestly… I feel sad. I feel like crying. Is it ok if I cry?"

"Yes! You can cry, Kirby. It's healthy, and I'll be here to comfort you."

"Thank you, It's just this whole problem is frustrating" Kirby leaned on Link and started crying.

The two just hugged each other in silence. Kirby is quietly sobbing on Link's tunic, but he doesn't mind. He understood. This whole situation must be a lot for her. Mario is who she has known since 64 is trying to get rid of her. Why now is Mario hating on her? It doesn't make sense. Unless…

"Kirby?" Link gently pulled her back.

"Hmm?"

"Did you and Mario do anything?"

"..." She averted her eyes.

"It's ok, I won't get mad at you."

"I don't think I ever told you about my power."

"You still have your copy ability?"

"I do, but the way I get it now is weird. I have to kiss someone or something to get it."

"W-what!"

"Mario wanted to know if it was true."

"That bastard!"

"I didn't know any better back then."

"He took advantage of you! Did you guys go any further?"

"No."

"Oh thank god."

"I don't think he told Peach. According to the book we read together, that's cheating, right?"

"Absolutely!"

"That's why he wants to get rid of me."

"I'm going to fucking kill-

"No, dont'! It's Mario."

"So?"

"He has power. I have to find the smashers who were at the party to have my back. Out of everyone at the party, I went to you first. I trust you the most. You're the smartest guy I know and I wanted your advice on what I should do."

Link's heart started to beat fast. She looked up at him with her blue doe eyes. She's so fucking cute! He should calm down. Right now, Kirby needs his aid. He shouldn't be ogling at her right now.

"Don't worry, Kirby. You have my full support."

"Thank you."

"But what about Little Mac?"

"Little Mac is great! But… he wasn't there at the party, and for some reason he doesn't believe that I'm THE Kirby. He thinks I share the same name as well… ME!"

"He's not the brightest."

"When I look in the mirror, I also see a different person. I don't blame him."

"You might have changed a lot, but you're still you. I'm happy you went to me first."

"Haha! Makes you feel special, huh?"

"Definitely."

The two stared at each other lovingly. She hugged him tight and couldn't help but smile. Despite all the terrible stuff that's happening with her new form and Mario, she felt safe with Link. She didn't have to pretend with him.

Kirby put her arms around Link's neck. He put his hands around her hip. The two cuddle into each other's embrace. They looked at each other and Kirby noticed that Link was pulling his face closer to hers. She hesitated. Does she like him like that? This all seems to be going fast. He's beautiful, but… It's Link. Will he even think about her the same once Paluntena changes her back? Will she even think the same as she does now? Will she go back into being a hungry powerful star warrior like she once was? Too many questions. She wanted to trust the moment. Go with the flow. Maybe if they do this, something will click. She closed her eyes and decided to let Link do whatever. She felt his breath and-

*knock knock*

The two stood still. They stared at each other in utter shock. What were they about to do?! That's when the anxiety hit the two of them. Were they about to kiss? What were they thinking?! This is crazy! They're friends!

*knock knock*

"Shit! It's Zelda," Link pulled away from Kirby's embrace.

"Oh no! W-what should I do? She'll think-

"Quick, hide in here," Link grabbed Kirby and shoved her in his closet.

Link hesitantly walked over to the door and opened it. There stood a beautiful blonde woman. Zelda made her way inside and sat on his bed. He followed her lead and sat next to her. He nervously eyed his closet. Oh god, he totally forgot about Zelda. He forgot about the big talk. Oh no, Kirby is the closet. She's is going to witness everything! He didn't want her to see this. If only he focused on cheering her up. Why did it have to get all romantic? Honestly, how did it get romantic? Was he moving too fast?! Was she being nice and going with the flow like she did with Mario? Negative thoughts started to crowd his mind until Zelda spoke.

"Link, you seemed to really want me to be here."

"Y-yes, I uh, I…"

"Shhh, it's ok. I already know what it's about."

"You do?"

"Mhm."

"A-and you're not mad?"

"Why would I be mad, silly?"

Zelda stripped her clothes off right then and there. Link stared at her in shock. She… She didn't get the tone at all. He needed to stop her. This… this has got to be the most embarrassing moment of his life. He couldn't help but stare at the closet again in shame. He hoped Kirby wasn't looking.

"I know you haven't been feeling great. I want to let you know that you don't have to be insecure about your body. I love every part of you," She said. She went behind him, grabbing his chest and licking the nape of his neck.

"Zelda no I-

Too late. Zelda pinned him down. "I know you're interested in being the bottom. I'm sorry for all those times that I forced you to be on top."

"Zelda, please listen to-

She kissed him on the lips. She slipped her tongue inside his mouth, exploring every inch she could. She craved this. She hungrily let her tongue wrestle his tongue. He tried to move his head away to break away from the kiss, but she just grabbed his face and continued exploring his mouth.

Kirby cracked the closet door open. It was only a little bit but she could perfectly see them. She held her breath as the couple sat on Link's bed. She needed to be as still as possible. She witnessed as Link tried to talk, but Zelda wouldn't have it. Zelda was kissing Link right in front of Kirby without even knowing. (I really shouldn't be here! Jeez, this is wrong. I need to get out, but I'm stuck. I'm sorry, Zelda! Please don't look this way) Kirby prayed in her head.

Kirby saw that Link was trying to fight Zelda off, but she wouldn't get the hint. Oh man, this is getting intense. Kirby looked around inside the closet. If there was anything she could do to get out. She checked if there was an escape door. Nope! Of course there isn't. Dumb Kirby! Okay, calm down. They're both making out, so they'll be too into it to notice little ol' Kirbs, right? That's how it worked, right? Kirby slid the closet door a little more. She needed to find the right time. Yep, they're still making out. Ok in a count of 3, she'll run out the door like she was never there. Ok 1, 2, she sighed and-

"Zelda! Stop!" Link pushed her off. Zelda was taken aback.

She covered herself with his blanket and gave him a painful expression. "What's wrong, Link?"

"Listen, I didn't call you here for sex. We need to talk."

"Link, I don't like how serious you look right now."

"Zelda this isn't a joke. I have to tell you something important."

"N-no! You're scaring me!"

"Zelda…"

"I'll only listen if you promise me that we'll be ok!"

Kirby closed the door again. Dang it! Link why'd he have to say that right when she was about to gun it. Now she's stuck listening to what will be the break up. She sat down and hugged her knees. This is going to be awful.

Link didn't belong with Kirby. The two are just… The fact that Kirby sometimes thought about what being with Link would be like made her feel the worst. Now Link is going to break up with sweet Zelda, all because of her. What did he even see in her anyway? This is all so complicated. She sees Link as a comfort guy in her life, but that doesn't mean romance, right?

"Zelda I…"

Kirby closed her eyes shut. Here it comes.

"I'm sorry, but… I love someone else."

"..."

"..."

"HAHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!"
