-The Hero Of Time-
Link stared at Zelda as she laughed hysterically. He didn't know what to do. She was acting insane! She continued to laugh even when Link shook her. He glanced at his closet. Great, this couldn't be more embarrassing.
"Zelda, stop."
"HAHAAHA!"
"ZELDA, STOP!"
"Why should I? The man I love is in love with someone else."
"Zelda… You know our love is fake."
"Fake? What's fake about it?! I thought we were happy!"
"I wasn't happy! There is a reason why I stayed quiet. We're only together because we're the main protagonist couple in our game. Don't you wish that maybe there was some more freedom in our script?"
"NO! I KNEW I LOVED YOU FROM THE START!"
"Zelda, I'm sorry, but I don't feel the same way. I never did."
Zelda stood up from the bed. She put her clothes back on. She walked over to the bathroom, and then came back.
"Who is she?" Zelda asked.
"Zelda no-
"Who is she?"
"I'm not telling you."
"Is it Peach?"
"What? No!"
"It's Peach, isn't it?"
"It's not Peach!"
"Link, I know it's Peach. I've seen the way she's looked at you."
"Wait, what?"
"She's always had eyes for you. I've seen it. I've always stayed quiet because I figured I could trust you."
"Zelda, listen to me, it's not Peach."
"Then who is it?"
Kirby put her hands together and closed her eyes. (Link, don't say my name!) Kirby prayed in her head. Although, if he did say Kirby's name, Zelda would think this whole thing is a prank. Zelda would forgive him, and they can go back to being a couple. He could redid what he has done. (Say it's me! She won't believe you and you can take all this back!) Kirby screamed in her head.
"Zelda, you're not ready."
"That's ok, Link. I already know who it is."
"For fucks sake, it's not Peach!"
"FUCKING TELL ME THEN!"
"If I told you, you're gonna hurt her."
"Hurt her? No, I'm not going to hurt her."
Zelda took out Link's pocket knife. That's why she went to the bathroom. He knew what she was going to do. She pointed the knife at her throat.
"Zelda, don't you fucking dare."
"Well you don't care about me, and I can't live without you, so I guess I'll die."
"You can't be serious right now."
"I am."
"Zelda, don't do this, please!"
She pulled the knife closer to her throat. The tip was now touching her skin. "I can't live without you, dear."
Link and Kirby started to panic. She's seriously going to kill herself! Kirby thought about busting out and pinning Zelda down, so that Link could retrieve the knife, but then she'll get caught. Then Zelda will definitely either try to kill Kirby or herself. She opened the door a little bit more and gave Link a heart warming look. (You can do this! No matter the cost, don't let her do it. It'll be ok) Kirby mouthed. Link caught it and gave Kirby the most miserable look he could muster. It broke Kirby's heart, but for now until The Hands get back, he needs to do it.
"Zelda… I'll stay with you. Just please don't hurt yourself," Link forced himself to give in.
"R-really?"
"Yes, I'll stay with you."
"W-what about your true love?"
"You are my true love."
"What about the other girl?"
"What other girl?"
Zelda was happy. She thought she almost lost her husband. She loved him so much. The most handsome courageous man in the universe. All for her. She dropped her knife and hugged him tight.
"I love you, Link."
"I l-love you, too..."
Zelda decided to stay in Link's room for the rest of the night. This meant that Kirby is still stuck inside his closet. Wow, she couldn't believe that Zelda played that card. Looking at Link's face, broke her heart. This answered Kirby's question though. The answer is no, Kirby and Link could never be a thing.
Link looks miserable right now. He was more cheerful when he was with Kirby. He'd always look so serious before the two started hanging out. They told jokes and made funny voices when reading the books. They even playfully fought each other during a fun argument. All these good memories, all to waste. They couldn't hang out anymore. Zelda would be too jealous and she would threaten her life again. Kirby hated to admit it, but for now they needed to play by Zelda's rules. Meaning she can't be around Link anymore.
Link sat there miserable, as Zelda talked to him about whatever drama she was on about. He barely talked. Kirby wondered if this was the norm for them. Zelda talking and Link listening. Kirby listened and watched the whole scene, until Zelda demanded that they sleep. She tried to get Link to have sex with her again, but Link couldn't get hard, so they gave up. This led to Zelda crying, and Link despite him being exhausted, used the rest of his energy to cheer her up. This is disgusting! Kirby might be clueless, but she knew that this was toxic.
The two deranged couples finally fell asleep, and this was Kirby's chance. She waited for this moment for hours. She quietly slid the closet door enough for her to squeeze out. She crawled her way past the bed. She noticed Link's knife on the floor with the blade still out. She grabbed it. She didn't want Zelda taking it again for leverage. Besides, she didn't want Zelda to hurt herself. She continued to crawl forward, past the bathroom and finally to the door. She slowly stood up, unlocked the door, opened it, and left. She made sure to shut the door quietly, so Zelda wouldn't wake up thinking someone was peeping on them this entire time.
Kirby let out a big sigh. She was finally able to breathe normally again. The air wasn't tight anymore. She was glad to finally be out. She began walking back to her room. Once she entered her room, she immediately plopped on her bed. All this mental exhaustion caused her to sleep immediately.

-Bein' Allies-
Ness wrote down his plan on his notebook. So far, he knew that Fox sided with Mario. He noticed a pattern. It seems that the plumber targeted the smashers from 64. The ones he's known the longest. That's quite clever of him. They had no reason to question him because he had been there and done nothing wrong for the longest time. First Fox, then Ness, Mario is probably going to tell Samus next. He knew that Mario wasn't going to tell Captain Falcon, until most of the original roster was on his side. Captain Falcon was there at the party, and he was a loud guy. The plumber knew this, so if everyone is against Captain Falcon, then the bounty hunter couldn't do anything. He would be seen as a fool. However, Mario did have an error to his plan. It was Ness. The young adult was there at the party, and thank god he didn't argue with boys about walking Kirby back home. Because of that, Mario forgot that Ness was even there.
Ness devised a plan that should reverse the effects of what Mario has done. First he needed to find either Pit, Villager, or Kirby herself. They needed to schedule a time where they grouped up and started going to the original 64, one by one. He needed Kirby as proof, and Pit or Villager who were witnesses at the party. Lucas would be a good option too, but the smashers might not be as convinced. Everyone knows Lucas agrees to whatever Ness says or does. Pit and Villager would be more convincing. The plan had to be perfect, so Lucas will be his back up.
Ness left his room to find either Kirby, Pit, or Villager. He knocked on Pit's door again, but like last time, he wasn't there. Dammit Pit, where the hell are you? No matter, he knocked on Villager's door and he answered. However, instead of inviting Ness inside, he obviously made up an excuse that he was sick. Villager lied to him. What's he hiding? In fact, it looked like Villager hadn't come out of his room in a while. He smelled bad and his hair was all over the place. There were dark circles under his eyes.
"Hey, Villager, you don't look so good. Can I come in?"
"Please don't."
"Why?"
"Ness, I really don't feel good. I told you I'm sick."
Villager looked sick alright, but not in the I caught the flu way. He knew those symptoms. Smelling bad, not caring about hygiene, and those dark circles. Villager is struggling with depression. He knew this because Lucas acted the same way for a while. Telling lies that he was sick, so he could wallow in his despair. Ness was too smart to fall for this trick. Villager is his friend, and he wanted to help.
"Villager, I know what you're going through. Let me help you," Ness complained.
"I'm just sick, please leave me alone."
"Villager, I know you're not sick."
"Yes I am!"
"Well, then let me take you to the ER."
"No, I'm fine!"
"If you're fine, then let me in."
"You're not understanding!"
"You're my friend! Let me help you."
"Ness please leave me alone!"
"Fine! I'll come by tomorrow then."
"What! Why?"
"Because I care about you, idiot!"
"No leave me alone!"
"I'll go for now, but I swear to god if you do something dumb, I'll beat you up."
"..."
Ness was simply trying to help him, but if Villager really wanted to be alone, then he should respect his boundaries. Breaking the door down, could get him in trouble. It's fine, Ness will just check on him tomorrow. He needed to find Pit, since Villager is not an option at the moment.
Ness talked to a bunch of smashers as he searched for Pit. He asked them if they saw the dumb angel anywhere, but no one had seen him. Seriously? Where could he be? The one time he wanted to find the annoying angel, and he's not there to spout his usual nonsense.
Whatever, he'll find him tomorrow. He should train for the tournament anyway. After a couple hours of training, Ness decided he wanted some food. As he went to the food court, he noticed Diddy Kong sitting with his pal Donkey Kong. That's right! Secret Santa! The psychic boy ran back to his room to grab Diddy Kong's present. He found it and shoved it in his backpack then went back to the food court. He happily walked to the kongs and sat at their table.
The kongs were confused, but Diddy Kong's eyes sparkled when Ness took out a present and handed it to him. The monkey joyfully ripped open his present. He clapped in joy and then he devoured the bananas that were presented to him. They weren't just any bananas. These bananas were from Villager's resort. They were very expensive juicy bananas imported to the smash grocery shop. All good quality. It was pricey, but hey! It was worth seeing Diddy Kong happily munch on them with tears of joy coming out.
Donkey Kong gave Ness a bear hug. It crushed the poor guy, but he was happy to make the kong's day better. The two shared the bananas, and after that they couldn't thank Ness enough. They kept bothering him. Eventually the young adult was able to slip away to get his own food, but man were they persistent. After eating, he decided to do one last search for the angel.
Pit was still nowhere to be found. Seriously? Where is this guy? The mansion is too big. Ness dug into his backpack and slid a note underneath Pit's door. It read: Meet me at my room at 8pm. No point in looking for one guy in a giant place like this. Tomorrow will be the day that he'll tell him about Mario's devious acts. Oh, speak of the devil, Ness spotted Mario down the hall.
Ness turned around and began fast walking away. Unfortunately, Mario caught up to him. It's ok, play it cool like last time. He doesn't know that Ness is against him. He doesn't know that Ness was even at the party, so honestly there's no need to be worried.
"Ness!" Mario called.
Ness reluctantly turned around. "Mario, how's it going?"
"Pretty good."
"I'm glad to hear that."
"Have you seen the pink haired woman yet?"
"Ah, sorry no. I was busy looking for Diddy Kong's secret santa gift. I eventually found it. I got him some high quality bananas."
"That's-a so nice of you."
"Haha, thank you. Anyway I gotta-
"Wait!"
"Y-yes?"
"Actually, I didn't come here about the lady."
"Oh, you just wanted to see me? Haha! I didn't know the world's best Nintendo character was a fan of mine."
"Oh you butter me up-a, Ness."
"Nah, I mean it. You're the best."
"Oh Ness, you make-a me blush."
"So what's up? What did you need me for?"
"Well, I was lucky enough to find out that I am your secret santa."
Seriously? Out of all the smashers. It just had to be Mario. Ugh, it was nice of Mario to get him a gift, but it's awkward. Ness is secretly planning against this guy. Dammit, it would be rude to not accept the gift. It's ok, he can pretend to be excited no matter what. The faster they go through this, the faster he can get away from the psycho.
"Whaaat! Aww you didn't have to," Ness forced a smile.
"I know you'll like it. Open it right now. I want to see your reaction."
Ness hesitantly grabbed the present from Mario's hands. It was a pretty good sized present. He wondered what Mario got him. He wanted to shake it, but what if it was glass? Ah, just open it. Ness tore open the wrapping that covered the box. He lifted the lid and...
"Do you-a like it?"
"M-Mario…"
"What's-a wrong, Ness."
Ness dropped the box and covered his nose. M-Mario knew! How did he… But… Why? Ness was so careful he made sure that…
"Bellosum."
But he did everything right… Everything except…
"M-Mario, did you do it?" Luigi entered the scene.
Luigi… Why?
Ness fell onto the floor. He fought his eyes to stay open. He needed to use PSI HEALING PI. He needed to. He needed to. He...
Mario noticed that Ness was struggling to stay awake. "You're-a fighter, huh? Oh that won't do." He pulled out the timer item from smash. "I know about your powers, Ness. But don't worry, this will make sure you won't be able to heal."
Mario pressed on the clock and time went by so slow. Ness tried using PSI HEALING PI a spell that could cure himself from sleep, but he didn't have enough time. The clock slowed him down, but not the duration of the pokemon's sleep powder. He watched as Mario gave him an evil toothy grin. That was the last thing he saw before everything went blank.
