Garp and Doll sailed across the calm belt as the woman looked at him, "So what are you going to do, sir," Doll asked him.
"When we get to Dawn Island, Dragon is going to train you and Luffy how to use Haki, and then the both of us will say when you two can set off from the island," Garp told her as she nodded, "But the first thing is what are you going to be on his crew," He said as Doll looked confused.
"What do you mean," She asked him.
"A pirate crew is different from a navy crew and not because of what they do but the amount on the crew," Garp said as Doll nodded, "For a true pirate crew to run a well-oiled ship, you need around forty-six crew members or forty-five and a pet," Garp told her as she looked at him in amazement.
"How do you know this, sir," Doll asked him.
"When I was fighting Roger all those years ago, and we had to work together once we talked to each other, and he told me what makes a pirate crew, and I think some bit of information was let loose that caused the fall of Ohara," Garp said with a dark look in his eye.
Luffy jumped after his father with his fist coked back, but Dragon stepped out as Luffy stayed past him.
"You're fighting like a wild animal; your Devil Fruit is that of a human variant, so think like a human," Dragon told him.
Luffy narrowed his eyes as Ace ran up and went in with a kick at Dragon's head, but the man moved the leg out of the way, and Ace rolled across the forest floor.
"Gum-Gum Pistol," Luffy called out as he threw a straight punch that shot at Dragon, who moved him out of the way once more.
"Have you learned nothing from the last seven days," Dragon asked his son before smiling, seeing that Luffy's hair turned into golden liquid-like flames.
"Now, Ace," Luffy called out with a broad smile as he had a and on the floor, "Gum-Gum Trmperlean," Luffy called out as Ace jumped onto the ground and started to get higher and higher.
"I see when we unlocked your 'Beast' form, we learned that you can make a small area have a rubber effect so long as you focus on it, and so you turned the ground into a tramper lean so that Ace could get a better hit," Dragon said as he watches Ace jump off the floor and then jump off a tree and going at him at a fast pace.
"Good work with the team up," Dragon told them before he flicked a finger as a blast of wind pushed Ace away.
"ACE," Luffy called out as he returned to normal, and his effect on the area stopped.
"And it seems that your beast form can not be held as it has to focus on it, but you can not really do that in a fight," Dragon said as he kicked Luffy away as the boy rolled into a tree.
After a few days of travel, Garp's ship, the Rover, made land in the Goa Kingdom as Revolutionary ships were floating around the islands.
Dragon stood on the dock while waiting for his father, who stepped down with Doll following him.
"Dragon, it's good to see you, and where is that grandson of mine," Garp asked, and Dragon pointed behind him at a bar off to the left.
"He's in there talking with Makino," He told his father, who nodded.
"Right, let's go see him," Garp said as he started to walk to the bar with Doll and Dragon next to him.
"So, how is Luffy's training going," Garp asked him.
"We know some more things about his Devil Fruit," Dragon said as he looked over to his father, "But did you know that Luffy's Devil Fruit had two names," He asked his father, who looked confused.
"Two names," Garp asked him with a raised bow, "What do you mean," He asked his son.
"The Gomu Gomu no Mi is that, but also the Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika," Dragon said as Garp looked confused.
"Nika, who or what is that," Doll asked him.
"I don't know," Garp said as he looked at Dragon.
"Nika is known as the god of freedom and the liberator," Dragon said as he remembered stories. "It is said that when the world is in need, he will appear with a smile and free all the world's slaves," He informed them as they nodded.
"So, Luffy ate a Zone-type Devil Fruit," Garp asked as he put a finger in his ear and started to twist it around.
"A mythical zone," Dragon said as Garp nodded.
"So that would make two of us," Doll said as Dragon looked at her.
"I ate the Inu Inu no Mi, Model: Cerberus giving me the power of the guard dog of Hades itself, and I can call of lighting, fire and ice," Doll told Dragon, who rubbed his chin.
"So the captain of the soon-to-be crew is the sun of legend that will free all the slaves, and one of his soon-to-be crew is the guard dog of Hades," Dragon said before smiling, "Luffy's crew is growing great," He said as Garp nodded as they walked into the bar.
"Which one is Luffy," Doll asked as Dragon pointed at his son.
"It's the one with the straw hat," Dragon said.
He wore a red vest, blue shorts, and tan sandals.
And on his head was something Garp had seen many times before, but now that he had fresh eyes, he knew who that hat belonged to.
He could not help but laugh as Dragon turned to his father, and Doll walked over to Luffy.
"What is it," Dragon asked.
"While the king of the pirates does not have an official crown, so to speak," Garp said before he pointed at the straw hat on Luffy's head as both he and Doll spoke with them both having a laugh with the bar mate behind the counter, "But that hat was once Roger's own," He told his son who's eyes shot wide.
"You mean," Dragon asked.
"Yes, Roger gave it to Red Haired, who gave it to Luffy," Garp said as he saw a ghost image of Roger behind Luffy laughing.
What he did not know was that he started to cry as Dragon looked at his father in shock, "Dad, are you," Dragon asked as Garp rubbed the tears away.
"While I did not like Roger, he was like a brother to me; he even asked me to join him once," Garp said as he walked over.
Dragon stood shocked.
"AH, LUFFY, HOW ARE YOU," Garp called out to his grandson, who turned to him.
"I'm fine, gramps," Luffy said before he got a fist to the head.
"Call me grampa, you ungrateful brat," Garp yelled at his grandson before he shook his head, "Anyway, Luffy, I'm going to teach you and Doll here something called Rokushiki," Garp said as Dragon walked over.
"Rokushini," Luffy asked.
"No, Rokushiki and they are strong powers that are only taught by the best of the best in the World Government," Dragon said before looking at his father, "And I don't think all six would fit Luffy's fighting style," Dragon said as they moved to a table with Luffy and Doll following.
"What do you mean," Garp asked.
"Geppo would work as with him using his rubber body; he can bounce higher; Rankyaku is also good for him as he can stretch his legs, making it a better wind blade; Soru will give him good speed for his attacks and zoning in on his enemies, and finally Shigan his stretching powers would work well with that power," Dragon told him as Garp nodded, "Tekkai dose does not work with his rubber body as uses it for reflecting bullets and cannon balls while Kemi-e is the same as he uses his body to rebound bult force attacks," He added.
"That is so long as they are not imbued with Haki," Garp said, with Dragon nodding.
"But don't I need a job on the kid's ship when we get one," Doll said as Dragon and Garp nodded and turned to Luffy.
"Right, Luffy, do you know how many members are needed to run a ship," Garp asked his grandson.
"Yep, but I don't want that many, so I would like to have around twenty," Luffy said as Garp nodded, "And the main jobs on the crew are a captain, who leads the crew, first mate, who is the next in charge, the navigator to plots the course of the ship, the quartermaster is the one who keeps the peace on the ship and settles disputes, the chef that makes sure that the crew is fed, the master gunner who is in charge of the cannons and gunpowder, a doctor to make sure that we live long enough to reach the end of our journey, a shipwright to keep the ship going, a helmsman to make sure that we are, a lookout to keep an eye out if anyone is coming or an island is near to us, a logbook keeper to record our journey, and the final job is a musician to keep the spirits up," Luffy told them with one breath.
Dragon and Garp nodded while Doll's eyes were shot wide.
"That's quite a bit of information, you know," Doll said as she looked at him.
"I may have missed something out, but that is what I can remember," Luffy told her before he looked at her, "But I want all crew to have a dream they fight for to make sure that they earn the strength to go forward to achieve that dream," Luffy told her as she looked at him.
She then thought back to Garp's office and the book that Dragon had given him.
"I want to find the true justice for the world," Doll said as Garp smiled at her.
"That's a good dream," Garp said with Dragon nodded, "For today, you will rest, but tomorrow, it starts your Rokushiki training," He told his grandson and Doll, who nodded.
Doll and Luffy run around a clearing with Dragon and Garp watching them, "Right then, for you to use Geppo, you have to have strong legs, so keep your asses moving," Garp yelled out to them.
"Ah, this brings back memories," Dragon said as he watched his son run, "But did you have to put weights on them," He asked as on both Doll's and Luffy's legs.
Garp laughed at that as both Doll and Luffy ran.
On a small ship, a girl of fifteen with pink hair sailed to somewhere she found in a paper.
She was dressed in a skinny purple headband in her hair, a short white satiny dress with a frilled neckline, a pink cravat, and dark high heels.
In her hands was a paper with the main headline that read 'Grand Opening of the First Floating Restaurant, Baratie', and the pitcher beneath it was a man and a child, both dressed in a chef uniform and with blond hair.
The man had a moustache tied with light blue ribbons and a peg leg on each end.
The only thing the boy had that stood out was his curly eyebrows, which made a spiral just above his eyes.
And it was like her very own ones.
"Just wait, Sanji, I'm going to join you, and we'll forget that we're Germa and live lives that we want," The girl said into the wind.
A girl of nineteen with white hair woman who was dressed in a sleeveless white garment with a diamond-shaped design on both sides and an indigo, wisp-patterned bottom half with a pair of red hakama pants and sandals and wore a large purple and white nio-dasuki behind there back.
"I shall do this like Oden before me and see the world that Kaido forbid me from seeing," She said as she started to walk towards a boat.
And so she set a course to Fishman Island and another place.
He was aiming for East or the South Blue as there she could gain some help to take Wano away from Kaido.
Back at the Goa Kingdom in the forest, Garp still trained Doll and Luffy in Rokushiki.
"Now that you've done your running, you have to jump twice," Garp told them as they looked at their arms and had weights on their arms and chests.
"You want us to use with this weight," Doll asked as Garp nodded, and Luffy started to jump.
But the only thing that started going up was his head.
Doll pulled out a notebook and a pen and wrote down the instructions, and Luffy saw her do that, "What you doing, Doll," Luffy asked her.
"I'm making sure I have the right instruction on using Geppo," Doll told him as Luffy nodded.
"Then I know what your job will be on the crew," Luffy said, still trying to jump.
They drew the attention of Garp and Dragon, "Oh, and what are you going to make her Luffy," Dragon asked.
"Shanks told me that when he was on a different crew when he was younger, he had someone called Mr Momora as someone who taught him how to use a sword and how to use Haki, so I think that Doll's job should be the instructor of the crew," Luffy said as he made to get his feet off the floor.
Doll started to jump as she looked at Garp, "What does an instructor door on a ship, other than teach the crew members, I mean," Doll asked him.
"Well, from what Roger told me was that an Instructor has to be knowledgeable and somewhat powerful with the job to share their worldly knowledge, which means training them physically, in Haki, or any other fighting style that they have knowledge in," Garp told her as Luffy looked at him.
"You knew the King of the Pirates," Luffy asked him as Dragon raised a brow at his father.
"You didn't tell him," He asked his father.
Garp shrugged as his son, "Anyway, Luffy, yes, I knew Gold Roger, and there are many lies around him that were made by both the navy and World Government have made sure that the truth is hidden," He told them as both Doll and Luffy listed as they tried to jump high with both of them just getting off the ground.
"Like what," Ace asked as he walked over.
Garp looked at him before sighing, "Roger was a man of honour, and he was a man who would always lend a helping hand when the time needed, and he did not take bullshit from anyone," Garp said with a sad smile, "And the two of us was like brothers," Garp said as he started to go into stories of both him and Roger with Dragon keeping an eye on Doll and Luffy's training.
After two years of training, Doll, Luffy, and Ace stood in front of Dragon in the forest with Garp off to the side.
"Are you three ready," Dragon asked as wind formed around him.
Luffy cracked his knuckles and smiled.
Doll puts on black leather fingerless gloves and gives them both a tug before nodding at Dragon.
Ace cracks his neck before pointing his pipe at his brother's father.
"Then come at me," Dragon told them as all three jumped at him, with Doll going first with her fist cocked back.
"Hell's Haymaker," Doll called out as she brought her fist out at Dragon, who held up a finger as the wind stopped her punch.
"Gum-Gum Pistol," Dragon heard Luffy call out as the stretching punch sailed in.
But it was stopped by the wind as well.
"Ahhhhhh," Ace called out as he attacked with his pipe from behind.
Dragon looked at him as the wind formed another barrier behind him, stopping the attack.
"Realy giving away your position," Dragon asked him.
"No, a distraction," Ace said as Dragon felt the earth change beneath his feet.
He turned to Luffy, who was in his 'beast' form and took hold of the ground and raised it up before bringing it down, "Gum-Gum Wave," Luffy called out, who sent a wave of rubber earth at Dragon.
But that did not work, as Dragon just rode the wave.
Doll moved in with her leg up and aimed for Dragon's head, "Hel Axe," Doll called out, bringing down her heel on Dragon's head, but he used the wind to stop it.
He then flicked his fingers as a blass burst of air shot out of his flick and shot at Luffy.
And when it landed, it knocked it back as he dropped into his 'beast' state.
"Dame it," Luffy said before he started to run forward, but one of his fists saying behind him, and Dragon narrowed his eyes before the corner of his lips turned upwards as Luffy sent his fist forward, "Gum-Gum Bullet," Luffy called out as Dragon held out a hand.
"Wind Wall," He said as the first bet a solid wall of wind, "You've done it, Luffy, you've unlocked the first stage of Busoshoku Haki," Dragon said as Luffy looked amazed.
Doll and Ace looked at each other before looking down at their fists (Doll) and pipe (Ace).
Before narrowing their eyes, they called on some power that Dragon had told them about.
As Dragon looked at them before, his face turned into a smile, "That's more like it," Dragon said as Doll moved in with a Hell's Haymaker once more, and Ace went for a pipe swing.
"Wind Wall," Dragon called out; he saw Luffy join in with a Gum-Gum Pistol.
Luffy and Doll were standing on the dock with Dragon and Garp, with Ace nowhere in sight and a Sloop behind them.
Dragon placed a hand on Luffy's shoulder, "Luffy, it's been seven years since we've met, and I am glad of the man you have become," Dragon told his son before looking at Doll, "And you were a brilliant student Doll," He told her as she nodded.
She had changed her clothes as well.
A black frock coat features dozens of dark green buttons, two flapped pockets, large vented cuffs, a heavily pleated rear skirt and is fully lined in a dark green muslin that she has closed over her stomach, a white blouse with a black corset with green string, black leather pants with three dark green buttons, a black leather belt with a silver buckle, black leather boots with flaps folded over the top.
(I am bad at describing clothes, so I think the best way to describe her clothes would be the Black Dog Cloth Set from Sea of Thieves)
Luffy kept his clothes the same.
"Luffy, I'm giving you this ship; it's called the Obsidian Dog for now until you get a better ship," Dragon said as Doll looked at the ship.
"It's a sloop," Doll said as Luffy looked at the ship.
"I've made sure that you have some treasure maps along with some cash for you, around one million Beri," Garp said as both of them turned to him, "Along with fully stocked on food and equipment," He added as both Doll and Luffy walked onto the Obsidian Dog.
Doll walked over to the helm and started to sail the Obsidian Dog out of the harbour as a large sea king, the Lord of the Coast, and it looked like a giant oversized brown eel with red eyes and blue fins.
"It seems our local sea king wants to say hello," Doll said as Luffy walked to the front of the ship, stretched his arm out before bringing it back, shot forward, and punched the Lord of the Coast in the cheek.
