I'm so glad that a lot of you love the fact that Elizabeth and Danny are close and are hoping that Jason and Elizabeth adopt Danny. I was wondering what you thought on that subject. Chapter 50

***Saturday Afternoon***

(Sam picked up Danny at Monica's like she said she would. Jason, Elizabeth, and the boys went back home. Once everyone is all settled, Jason and Elizabeth faced each other)

Liz: "Is it time to take care of business?"

Jason: "Yes. Let's get it over with."

(Jason and Elizabeth face the kids)

Jason: "Cameron, can you please watch Jake and Aiden until we get back?"

Cameron: (slightly worried) "Is everything okay?"

Liz: "We hope so."

Cameron: (nods) "Okay. Do whatever you need to do. We'll be here."

(After Jason and Elizabeth leave, Jake approaches Cameron)

Jake: "What's going on?"

Cameron: "I don't know. Mom and dad will fix it, though."

***Scott Baldwin's Penthouse***

(Scott was surprised to see Jason and Elizabeth at the front door)

Scott: "What do you want?" (to Liz) "Franco is already giving you a divorce. What more could you need?"

Liz: "I need to tell Franco something as I don't think Sam did the honors."

(Scott looks at Elizabeth in confusion)

Scott: "What are you talking about?"

Liz: "I prefer to tell Franco as it concerns him. However, Scott, you may need to be in the room as it's a legal matter."

Scott: (slightly alarmed) "What the hell is going on?"

(Scott goes near the staircase and yells for Franco to come downstairs. He has company. Once Franco is downstairs, he is surprised that not only is Elizabeth there, but so is Jason)

Franco: "What's going on? Is this about the divorce?"

Liz: (shakes her head) "It's a legal matter, so Scott is here in case you have questions."

Franco: "Alright, what the hell is going on?"

Liz: "Franco, you may want to sit down for this."

Franco: "What's it about?"

Liz: "A secret Sam has been keeping from you."

(Franco leans back a bit in confusion as he spoke)

Franco: "How would you two know if Sam is keeping a secret from me?"

(Jason and Elizabeth face each other and privately wonder the best way to say it)

Scott: (annoyed) "Oh, for Christ's sake! Just spit it out and quit leaving us in the dark!"

(Elizabeth briefly looks around and sighs deeply)

Liz: "How well do you know Danny Morgan?"

Franco: "Not well. Sam won't really let me see him or say anything to him. Why?"

Liz: (stutters a bit) "B-Because…." (clears her throat) "Sam only wants Danny to know Jason. It's not fair to you or Danny."

(Franco is even more confused! What the hell is going on?! Franco shakes his head and glances between Jason and Elizabeth as he slides his hands through his hair. Scott had a feeling he knew where this was going. Only because he is a lawyer and his legal instincts were kicking in)

Scott: "Franco, have you ever slept with Sam?"

(Franco thought for a moment before nodding)

Franco: "Yes, a few times. Years ago."

Scott: (nods) "Okay, did you and Sam use protection during those times?"

(Franco thought for a moment until his eyes widened a bit)

Franco: "All but one time, I believe."

Scott: (nods) "One time is all it takes to make a kid, son."

(Franco is more confused than ever! Why the hell is everyone bringing up if he used protection with Sam or if he slept with her? It's been years)

Franco: "I don't get it. Jason, I thought you were Danny's father? What the hell is going on?"

Jason: "For years, I believed I was Danny's father because I didn't know that Sam slept with you. I don't know Sam's history with you." (sighs) "Elizabeth and I heard a recording between you and Sam where Sam told you to stay away from Danny. You must not have heard Sam mumble under her breath that I was NOT the father of Danny."

Franco: (surprised) "How do you know about the conversation because I thought Sam and I were speaking privately?"

Jason: "Someone who I won't name accidentally recorded it when they were also in the park that day. I got ahold of the recording."

Scott: "I would like to hear the recording, please."

(Jason takes out his cell phone and plays the recording for Scott and Franco. Scott and Franco are shocked that Sam lied to them about Danny's paternity)

Franco: "How did Sam get my DNA sample?"

Scott: "There are many ways. But the old-fashioned way is an old water bottle that you probably drank out of."

Franco: "I take it the DNA test reveal I'm Danny's biological father?"

Liz: (nods) "Yes, you are Danny's true father."

(Franco can't help but be shocked and he shows it on his face! He couldn't believe Sam kept the truth a secret all of these years! Damn bitch! Franco shakes his head in disappointment)

Franco: "Jason, when did you find out you weren't Danny's father?"

Jason: "Maybe a few weeks ago I confronted her. She tried to deny it, saying I'm his father in every way that counts."

Liz: "Franco, despite how we feel towards you, it's not right that Sam kept this from you. You have every right to want to see Danny if you want to."

Franco: (smiles politely) "Thank you for saying that. I think Danny is innocent in all of this. He doesn't deserve to have a mom like Sam."

Jason: "Danny loves Elizabeth like a mom and that drives Sam crazy."

(Franco can't help but chuckle at that. Franco casually walks to the corner of the room as Scott talks)

Scott: "I can't believe Sam kept the truth from my son all these years. I can't help but wonder if knowing about Danny…would that have cured Franco's mind or made him a better person?"

Franco: (shrugs) "We'll never know."

Jason: "What is the timeline of Danny's conception? I know you're his father, but when exactly did you sleep with Sam?"

(With Franco's back towards everyone, he speaks)

Franco: "I can tell you if you want to know."

(Franco then faces everyone)

Scott: (nods) "I would like to know."

Liz: (raises her eyebrows) "Just to forewarn you, Sam doesn't know we're here. She doesn't know that we told you about Danny. Unlike Sam and her continued lies, we felt you had a right to know."

Franco: "I appreciate that. It's obvious that Sam doesn't care about anyone but herself."

Jason: "No, she doesn't."

Franco: "What do you want to know?"

Scott: "Be careful, son. They may try using it against you, depending on what it is."

Liz: "Jason and I won't use anything against you. We just want to know the timeline of your relationship with Sam."

Jason: (nods) "I give you my word, Baldwin. I will not retaliate. Help me take down Sam."

(Franco can't help the smirk from forming at Jason's words. He couldn't resist joining them to take Sam down)

Franco: "If Sam doesn't see the harm in lying to me for years, then I'll tell you everything you want to know. She won't lie to me about my son and get away with it."

Scott: "Let's sit down and hash everything out."

(Everyone sits down)

Franco: "I first met Sam maybe a year before you two were married and honeymooned in Hawaii. She complained about her relationship with you a lot, Jason."

Jason: (sighs deeply) "What else is new?"

Franco: "That your friendship with Elizabeth seemed more important than your relationship with Sam. Sam and I got to know each other more. The times you fought, she came running to me looking for comfort. We had sex a few times. I told her sex with me won't fix things. She understood. I guess you were trying to call her as you were worried, but she didn't care. She figured she'd let you sweat it out."

(Jason got mad at that. Elizabeth shook her head in disappointment)

Franco: "I'm sorry that you both have to hear all of this."

Jason: "No, we want to hear it all."

Liz: "We want the truth."

Scott: "It's best to keep going, son."

Franco: "After that night, I didn't hear from Sam again until the night you and Sam got married. I'm so sorry for what I did, Jason. Sam just lectured me. She knew I didn't rape her."

Jason: "Let's just drop that part of the topic."

Franco: (nods) "Understood. I'm sorry for everything. I know I hurt you and Elizabeth." (scoffs) "I just…I just can't believe Sam lied to me all these years! Are you sure?"

Jason: "Sam admitted I wasn't the father. We had our way of finding out. You are free to do another DNA test, but the results will be the same."

Franco: "No, I believe you. I know you and Elizabeth wouldn't lie about something like this. What are you going to do about Danny?"

Jason: "I could file for full custody. What do you want?"

Franco: "I admit I wouldn't mind knowing Danny. Sam can go to hell. I also agree that Elizabeth is a wonderful mother."

Liz: (smiles politely) "Thank you. I love Danny like my own and consider him my buddy."

Franco: "Would the two of you be willing to adopt Danny, but I would still be in Danny's life as much as Danny will allow? Elizabeth, you would be Danny's legal mother. Jason, you would be Danny's adopted dad and I would be his biological father who spends time with him. Does that make sense?"

Liz: (nods) "Yes, it does."

Jason: "We will make it work."

Liz: "When will you confront Sam over her lies?"

(Franco narrows his eyes in anger)

Franco: "When she least expects it. Thank you for telling me the truth."

(Jason and Elizabeth nod and leave the penthouse)

Scott: "How do you feel about everything?"

Franco: (scoffs) "Sam is in for a very rude awakening. By the time I'm done with her, she'll be begging for mercy."

Scott: "Now, Franco, don't be fooled by Sam's charms. She will try swaying you to her side."

Franco: "Let her try. I promise you, dad. I'm done with her shit."
