Chapter 69

(Elizabeth goes to see Alexis at her cottage)

Alexis: "Well, this is certainly a surprise."

(As Elizabeth takes off her jacket, she speaks)

Liz: "I wanted to talk to you about Danny. Now that Sam is officially in Pentonville, what has happened to Danny?"

(Alexis and Elizabeth get comfy on the sofa)

Alexis: "As of right now, I have custody of Danny. Until it's decided who will get custody."

Liz: "Do you want full custody of Danny? Or are you fine with Jason and I having custody? And then you and Franco can see Danny whenever you want?"

Alexis: (smiles) "I assure you, sweetie, that Danny is fine with you two as he considers Jason his dad and you as his other mom. He will get to know Franco. Thank you for allowing Danny in my life."

Liz: (nods & smiles) "It's how it should be. You're his grandmother. Kristina is his aunt."

Alexis: "You do know that a judge will have to agree with this. It's not up to us."

Liz: "I know. But with you as a lawyer and Danny's grandmother, I'm hoping that you can persuade the judge."

Alexis: (chuckles) "Here's to hoping."

***Little Bit Later***

(Elizabeth visits Scott and Franco)

Liz: "I just wanted to let you know, Franco, that I visited Alexis before coming here. The plan is for Jason and I to have custody of Danny and you and Alexis can visit whenever you want. If Danny wants one, you can also have a relationship with him too."

Franco: (smiles & nods) "If he wants one, I'd like that. I appreciate everything you have done."

(Scott can't contain his resentment on the topic)

Scott: "It should be Franco who decides this stuff as he's the biological parent."

Franco: "Dad." (shakes his head) "Please stop. Elizabeth, Jason, and I already discussed it."

(Elizabeth glares in Scott's direction before voicing her opinion)

Liz: "Why don't you quit meddling in everyone's life? Haven't you done enough?"

(Scott looks at Elizabeth in confusion, as does Franco)

Scott: "What's that supposed to mean?"

Liz: "First, you meddle in my life then you meddle in your son's life? Whose life are you going to meddle in next?"

Franco: (bewildered) "What'd Scott do, Elizabeth?"

(Elizabeth shrugs casually while answering her ex's question)

Liz: "He represented Sam, knowing full well she was guilty of kidnapping me. But, he did it anyway."

(Franco looks at his father)

Franco: "Yeah, why did you do that?"

Scott: "Sam asked for my help."

Liz: (scoffs) "You know our history, Scott. Hers and mine. It just feels like you stabbed me in the back when you agreed to represent her." (tilts her head) "But hey, I'm sure you just needed to earn a living, right?" (shrugs) "Never mind that I used to be your daughter-in-law. At least, Franco seems to have learned from his mistakes. Can't say the same about you, though." (sighs) "I got to go."

(Scott sighs deeply in defeat)

Scott: "Elizabeth…"

(After Elizabeth successfully exits, Franco shrugs)

Franco: "Can you blame her? You did betray her by defending her worst enemy."

Scott: "Son, everyone is entitled to representation."

Franco: (chuckles dryly) "Not Sam. You're in the doghouse. You have no one to blame but yourself on this one."

***Webber House***

(Jason and Elizabeth have a talk with Cameron, Jake, and Aiden in the living room about Danny)

Liz: "How would you three feel if Danny not only lived here with us, but was a member of our family, too?"

Cameron: (smiles) "I think it's safe to say we all consider him a member of our family."

Jake: "We'd love it if he lived with us."

Aiden: "He comes here a lot to visit, so it makes sense he lives with us."

Jason: "I'm glad you feel that way. Your mom and I don't want to take steps to make it happen unless you were all on board with it."

Cameron: "We assure you and mom we can't wait to officially welcome Danny into the family."

Liz: "I need to go to GH to talk to Monica about this."

Jason: "When do you officially have to go back to work?"

Liz: "I will when Danny is officially with us so it's taken care of."

(Jason nods and kisses his girl goodbye. Afterwards, Jason goes back to the sofa)

Jason: "I have a question for you guys."

Cameron: (nods) "Go on. What's wrong, dad?"

(Jason shakes his head before speaking)

Jason: "Nothing bad, at least, I don't think so." (hopeful smile) "How would you three feel if I asked your mom to marry me?"

(Cameron, Jake, and Aiden look at each other in shock before facing Jason happily)

Cameron: "Are you serious right now?"

Jake: "You really want to ask mom to marry you?"

Jason: (nods) "Yes, I do. I love your mom more than anything. With you four boys, our family is complete." (chuckles) "Don't tell your mom this, but if we ever had a little girl of our own, then life would be perfect."

Cameron: (shrugs) "Why not tell her that?"

Jason: "Because I don't want her to feel pressured to have another little one running around."

Jake: "For the record, though, I've always wanted a little sister."

Cameron: (smiles) "Me, too."

Aiden: "Someone I can spoil and bake with."

Cameron: (smirks) "And, of course, protect her against the bad guys. Don't worry, though, we won't say anything."

(They all agree if it ever happened, it'd be cool)

Cameron: (smirks) "By the way, dad, we have a confession to make."

Jason: "Oh, yeah? What's that?"

Cameron: "We have been wanting you and mom to get married for a long time. If a baby sister comes out of it, awesome. If not, we are happy with how things are."

(Jason hugs his sons)

***GH***

(Elizabeth goes to Monica's office. While both are seated, Elizabeth gets to the reason she is there)

Liz: "I heard from Terry that you told her there's no rush on me coming back due to family stuff?"

Monica: (nods) "Yes. There is no time limit. I know that Sam's trial was recently. I also know that Danny is currently with Alexis."

Liz: "You are right. Sam was found guilty and sentenced to 30 years in Pentonville. Alexis is going to petition the court so Jason and I can get custody of Danny. Alexis, Kristina, Franco, and you can visit anytime you want. When things are settled with Danny, I'll be back. I'm hoping you're okay with everything. Anyone who is important to Danny can visit him. We will not leave anyone out."

Monica: "I appreciate being able to visit him. I also know Alexis will appreciate that anyone important to Danny will be able to visit him. Will you take Danny to visit Sam in Pentonville?"

Liz: "I don't plan on it. When he is older and understands everything better, I will leave it up to him whether or not he wants to see Sam." (straight face) "But, if it were up to me, honestly? No, she would NOT have a place in his life. She blew her life all to hell. She ended up blowing up Danny's life in the process, too. She shouldn't get a second chance to have her son in her life. But, like I said, it's not up to me."

Monica: "I know you wouldn't keep the important people from Danny. I just hope Alexis can persuade the judge to give you and Jason custody."

Liz: (nods) "Me, too."
