Skye walked into a large classroom the next day. Steve was behind her. Before Skye could pick a seat America called her to come and sit next to her.

Skye looked up at Steve.

"Go, sit with your friend. But please pay attention," he said.

Skye nodded and went and sat next to America.

"Hi!" Skye said with a smile.

"Hey!" America said, smiling at her new friend.

Before long the classroom was filled, and a man who introduced himself as Logan got up in front of the class and started talking about the next generation of those with abilities.

When lunchtime came Skye noticed her dad and Dr. Strange speaking to one of the speakers from the morning and looking over at the two of them every couple of minutes.

"Love knowing I'm being talked about and not being part of the conversation," Skye said to America, who was sitting next to her.

"Yup. You've got super hearing. What are they saying?" America said.

Skye took a breath and focused on hearing what they were saying.

"Skyler, don't," Tony said from behind the two of them.

Skye jumped a little. "Shit."

"You two will be told if you need to be told," Tony said.

America looked up to see who it was before looking at Skye. "So the Tony Stark in this universe is a rule follower. Got it."

Skye let out a snort laugh.

Tony shook his head. "You two will be told what you need to be told. Don't let me catch you trying to do that again, Skye."

"Sorry, Uncle Tony," she said, trying to keep a straight face.

Tony walked away, continuing to shake his head.

Skye and America laughed.

"So you have met another Tony Starks?" Skye said.

"Several," America said.

"Are they all vastly different?" Skye asked.

"They all have certain things in common, but there are some differences," America said.

"Is he actually a rule breaker in the other universes?" Skye asked with a smirk.

"Sometimes," America said chuckling. "I just knew that would get under his skin."

Skye chuckled.

"I hope I didn't get you in trouble though," America said.

Skye shrugged. "I don't think so."

After lunch, they had a couple more presentations before they were done for the day.

Skye was getting bored at that point and reaching the limit of her attention, so she was glad when the day was over.

Everyone got up and left the classroom and headed for their rooms.

Skye and America were stopped by Kamala. "A bunch of us are going to go hang out by the pool. You two should join."

"I'll have to check with my dad, but I should be able to be there," Skye said.

"I'll be there," America said

Skye looked around and found Steve and went to him, and the two headed up to their room. "Hey, Dad, a bunch of people are going to the pool. Is it okay if I go?"

"Sure," Steve said.

Skye smiled and ran into the room. She found her swimsuit in her bag and got changed in the bathroom, putting on a pair of shorts and a tank top over it, and grabbed a towel.

"Be careful, have fun," Steve said.

Skye went and joined the other young supers who were by the pool. It was just them, and they had a good time.

"Skye?" a slightly older-looking brunette asked.

"Yes," Skye said, smiling at the girl. She hadn't met her the evening before.

"Kate Bishop, Lila mentioned you to me at Christmas when I was with the Bartons," Kate said.

"Oh. Yeah, she mentioned you to me at Thanksgiving," Skye said with a smile.

"Kate Bishop, you're Hawkeye Jr. You weren't at the meet and greet last night," Kamala said.

"Not Jr, Hawkeye in training I suppose. But I can shoot circles around Clint. I got in later than I wanted to," Kate said smiling at the other girl. "And you are?"

"Kamala Khan, Ms. Marvel," she said.

Skye smirked. "Kamala seems to know a lot about us already."

"I try to know everything I can about the Avengers," Kamala said.

"Okay, Kamala fair is fair what can you do?" Kate asked

Kamala explained her abilities and where they came from.

"That's pretty epic," Kate said.

"So Kate, does Clint agree that you could shoot circles around him?" Skye asked with a smirk.

"Know? Yes. Will admit it? Not likely," Kate said with a smirk.

Skye chuckled.

"I've heard the people running this whole thing want to see what we can all do tomorrow," America said. She looked at Skye. "I think that's what that guy was talking to Strange and your dad about at lunch.

"Oh. So I guess my dad is going to decide for me if I do it," Skye said, rolling her eyes.

"That's what happens when you let people tell you what to do," a voice from behind them said.

They looked behind them and saw the young Loki, who was spinning a dagger in his hands.

"And you think, if your brother says you're not allowed to, you'll be able to?" Skye asked.

"He is not the boss of me," Loki said smugly.

Skye shook her head and turned back around, paying attention to the other girls.

"Well, if you don't want my advice on how to get what you want, I'll be going," Loki said as he started to walk away.

"Why would we want advice from the guy who got dragged out of the meet and greet like a baby by his brother?" America said with a smirk.

Loki turned back around and made his dagger start flaming. "You are going to be sorry you said that," he said, looking towards America.

"Oh, a flaming dagger. Really? Is that the best you can come up with?" America asked.

Loki threw it at America.

America took flight avoiding it, and it hit the wall behind them.

Skye and Loki both looked at the dagger and went for it. Loki was closer, so he grabbed it and threw it at Skye. It flew by Peter as he came into the room.

Skye dogged it and created a fireball in her hands.

"Skye, don't," Peter said.

Skye ignored Peter and threw the ball of fire at Loki.

The commotion had gotten the attention of Barton as he was walking past the pool.

"Hey!" he said loudly, causing everyone to freeze and look up at him. "That is enough," he said sternly.

Everyone stayed frozen.

"Skyler and Loki, anyone else involved in this fight?" he asked, looking at Kate, given that she was one of the older ones in the room.

Kate let out a breath and nodded towards America, who was coming down to the ground.

"You three," he said as he pulled the dagger out of the wall. "With me. Now."

Loki grabbed the dagger from Clint and started to walk away.

Clint grabbed him by the collar. "I don't think so."

Loki got out of his grasp. "You can't hold me, old man."

"I don't think you want your brother coming and finding you," Clint said, grabbing his collar again and leading the three teenagers up toward their rooms. He got to Strange's room first and found all three adults he was looking for.

"Perfect, you're all here," Clint said.

"What happened?" Thor asked as he grabbed his brother who was still struggling from Clint.

"I was walking by the pool and heard a lot of commotion. I went in to see Skye throwing a fireball at Loki. I didn't see anything else. But I was informed that America was somehow involved too."

"Skyler, start talking," Steve said sternly.

"Loki came into the room and was being a jerk. He threw his flaming dagger at America, who avoided it. Both Loki and I went to grab the dagger from the wall at the same time. He got to it first and threw it at me. I dodged it also and created and threw a fireball toward him," Skye said.

"Not true, they came after me first. I was just defending myself," Loki said.

Stephen looked at America.

"Skye's version is the truth," America said.

"Of course she is saying that. They are working together," Loki said.

Thor looked at Clint. "Who can tell us the whole story and would have no reason to lie?"

Clint texted Kate and asked her to come to the room, giving her the room number. Ten minutes later Kate knocked on the door, and Clint opened it and let her in.

"We have two conflicting stories. Did you see the whole thing?" Clint asked her.

"Yes," Kate said.

"Just tell us the truth of what you saw," Clint said.

Kate told the story, also including the conversation before the physical altercation started.

"Thank you, Kate," Stephen said.

Clint and she left the room at that point.

"Skyler, let's go," Steve said, leading her out of the room.

Thor took the dagger from Loki's back pocket and dragged him out of the room as well.

Stephen looked at America. "You're not hurt?"

"No," America said. "You going to lecture me?"

Stephen shook his head. "You didn't need to piss off the guy with the dagger, but you weren't really an instigator in the fight."

In Steve and Skye's room, Steve pointed to the bed. "Sit."

Skye sat. "I was just trying to get him to stop before he hurt someone."

"I get that, Skye, but that was not the way to handle it. You threw a fireball at someone. He could have been hurt," Steve said.

"I don't think a fireball would have hurt him," Skye said.

Steve let out a breath. "You are probably right. But regardless of the situation, we are guests here, and your actions are watched not just by me but by the others here. You know better, and I expect you to set the example."

Skye nodded. "I'm sorry, Dad."

"It's forgiven," Steve said.

"Dad, were you asked if I would demonstrate my abilities tomorrow?" Skye asked.

"Yes," Steve said.

"Why wasn't I asked directly?" Skye asked.

"I don't know. But I told him the decision is yours," Steve said.

Skye thought about it. "You kind of did it. You were experimented on to be the face of the military."

"Kind of. But I made that choice," Steve said. "It's time for you to start making these decisions yourself."

Skye nodded. She wasn't sure what to do. Part of her wanted to, but part of her was scared. She also remembered what he just told her about setting the example.

"I'll do it," Skye said.

Steve smiled. "Okay."

Skye smiled.

Steve kissed her head.

Thor dragged Loki into their room.

"What were you thinking?" Thor asked loudly.

"I don't care what you've been told, you are not the boss of me," Loki said.

"Oh, little brother, you are sadly mistaken if you think that is untrue. In this world, you are a child, and until we figure out how to send you back to your own world you are my responsibility," Thor said.

Loki shook his head.

"You do not get to go anywhere for the rest of this week without me," Thor said.

Loki groaned.

"And next time you throw your dagger at or use any of your abilities against people who do not deserve it, I will not go so easy on you," Thor said.

"Whatever," Loki said.

Thor knew that was probably the best he was going to get from him right now, so he left it be.
