AUTHOR'S NOTES

This is not my first Wings of Fire crossover with Fire Emblem, but this is my first that crosses over with the Fodlan series of Fire Emblem. The one I did previously crossed over with Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and featured the SilkWings as the primary dragons of the story.

In this mystery/fantasy crossover, the NightWings are the focused dragon tribe of the story on the side of Wings of Fire while the Black Eagles students and two members of the Ashen Wolves play a major role in the story helping the Church of Seiros. While only two of the NightWings (Darkstalker being the villain; Moon being the hero) are featured in this story, there are OC NightWings too, such as the titular Shadowspear and a few others.

I hope you enjoy this Fire Emblem - Wings of Fire crossover.

CHAPTER 1

The Fear for Shadowspear

18th of the Horsebow Moon. The time was the dark of night. A serious and mysterious crime was sweeping across the continent of Fódlan. The disturbing crime, which involved the disappearance of Officer's Academy students while they were sleeping, was suspected to be caused by the Death Knight, a knight clad in black armor while riding an ebon black horse.

But it could not have been the Death Knight, according to some people. As a dragon's roar was heard, some of Garreg Mach's people suspected that wyvern riders and wyvern lords were causing such a crime. However, this was not the case either. The roar some people kept hearing the past few nights was not a wyvern's roar. It was the roar of a different type of dragon. One student–Edelgard von Hresvelg–knew what dragon type it was. That dragon was a fierce kind of dragon known as a NightWing, a dragon type apart of a Pyrrhian dragon tribe that reside in the Rainforest Kingdom in an outside world. How Edelgard knew about the NightWing tribe was kept a heavy secret from the rest of the Black Eagles students.

People feared for the NightWings, but Shadowspear was who they feared the most. A deadly NightWing warrior who strikes from the darkest of the shadows, Shadowspear was perhaps the most deadliest NightWing. Some people say that he doesn't match up to the NightWing Darkstalker. As people of Fódlan, particularly the Church of Seiros, questioned themselves about the deadly NightWing warrior after hearing from Edelgard, the entirety of Garreg Mach Monastery–except for those in charge of the hunting of the deadly NightWing dragon–went on a deep and strict lockdown. Lady Rhea, the archbishop of the Church of Seiros, decided to plaee a nighttime curfew on everyone at the monastery–shall nighttime come to Fódlan, everyone at the monastery was to remain inside, and shops and other markets were to close. This was for the safety of the people so that no one could face the threatening crime sweeping the continent.

But everyone was questioning something important: Could Shadowspear be the one causing the mysterious crime plaguing Garreg Mach Monastery? Archbishop Rhea even kept this question to herself as the mysterious crimes continued on Garreg Mach grounds.
