Gained the inspiration to do this story after watching all episodes of Scott Pilgrim Takes off, whose events I didn't see coming at all I will admit, along with re-watching a couple of Time Travel movies I love so much.

PROLOGUE

It all happened...

Not too long ago...

In the mysterious land of Toronto, Canada...

A man, by the name of Scott Pilgrim, was in a band, called Sex Bob-Omb, dated a High Schooler named Knives Chau, all after a big break up from his ex, Natalie 'Envy' Adams...

And then...SHE came into his life...

The girl of his dreams...Ramona Flowers, the American Ninja Delivery Girl.

Ditching his Fake High School girlfriend, Pilgrim met Flowers at a party, then asked her out after he ordered something from her work (A few CDs from Amazon). After an eventful date between the two, Pilgrim wanted to date this girl...except there was one problem:

He had to defeat her seven evil ex-boyfriends, a group of powerful people who formed The League of Evil Exes.

One by one, they came for or otherwise met him

Matthew Patel, the Mystic Pirate (aka That One Guy),

Lucas Lee, the Skateboard Actor (and a pretty good one too),

Todd Ingram, the Vegan Rockstar (he's also a meathead),

Roxie Richter, the Blonde Half-Ninja (She's NOT a boy for the record),

Kyle & Ken Katayanagi, the Twins (the handsome jerk and perfect XXXhat),

And their leader, Gideon Graves, the Head of The GGG Heavy Industries in New York (What a XXXX!).

Scott fought for Ramona for so long...until she left him, discovering that he had cheated on Knives with her.

Depressed, Scott lost his motivation to fight the last of the exes, resulting in him going on a wilderness sabbatical to confront his issues.

Then returning to Toronto, to fight Gideon, Scott lost the fight...but then Ramona returned, helped him fight Graves and ending the threat once and for all.

With every ex gone, and despite the struggles that had brought them together, Scott and Ramona knew they were finally free to date. Together, they headed to their future, ready for anything...

Totonto, Canada

Weaving through the crowds like they weren't a threat to him, a lone figure (The Shadow Figure. Name: Unknown. Age: Unknown. Status: Wishing to fulfil his Dark Desires Not-So Fun Fact: He seems like the main villain of this story) walked through the dark streets of Toronto, searching for a building after reading a story involved Scott Pilgrim and his girlfriend, Ramona Flowers. "Ready for anything...bah, what a joke." He scoffed before burning the book via his pyrokinetic touch, ignoring the fact that he had just done that in front of a crowd of people to his left.

The Shadow Figure wore a long dark tyrian purple trench coat with a hood, covering most of his face (with the exception of his two different coloured eyes which glowed) so that nobody would recognise him, and black boots. He continued walking on and on until he came across the place he was looking for, a Video Game store (Gamerz 4 Life. Status: Your average videogame store). He then walked inside where he saw the manager (Name: The Nerd. Age: Mid 30s. Occupation: Video Game Store Manage/Genius Scientist/Inventor by secret.) rocking out via one of the most popular games in his shop.

As a matter of fact, he was so engrossed into the game he didn't hear the figure walking up to the counter...until he shut off the TV. "Hey, what gives man?! I was just about to-!" He yelled in annoyance, turning around to complain to the figure...only to stop when he was both cut off and recognised the face of the figure. "So you do exist...Mr. Nerd. Your services, from what I've heard, are legendary." The Shadow Figure said, darkly intrigued by the manager, all before he shook his head. "It's such an honour to meet you. And did I mention how good your-" Before the figure could finish his cheerful sentence, he shook his head again, bringing back his dark personality.

"Y-You…? Y-You're...But weren't you…?" The Nerd began, disbelief filling his mind as he stared at the dark figure. "I respawned afterwards...and I haven't gotten over my defeat ever since!" The Shadow Figure growled, right before he slammed both of his fists onto the counter, scaring the manager within seconds. "Oh goodness...sorry about that. He's been like this ever since..." The other side of The Shadow Figure said apologetically, all before his darker side kicked in again. "Now then, let's talk business...unless of course...you want to say goodbye to your precious collectables?" He then spoke, summoning several projectiles that he intended to aim at much of The Nerd's stuff.

The Nerd yelped with worry, immediately telling The Shadow Figure that he would listen. "Heh...just as I thought." He said, desummoning the projectiles with a smirk before he leaned closer to the scared manager. "S-So…what exactly do you want from me…?" The Nerd asked calmly (And no, this isn't a Harry Potter reference), fearing for the safety of his limited edition collectables. "I require the machine you had invented around the start of the century. I plan on going back in time to take care of someone before he ruins my life." The Shadow Figure explained to The Nerd.

"Please do as he says...I really like your collectables." The other side of The Shadow Figure pleaded with worry. With no other options, The Nerd complied with the wishes of the figure, getting out a huge metallic box that contained 'The Machine' that The Nerd had created. Outside the store, the Shadow Figure carried a huge bag with said metallic box inside it while walking elsewhere. Before he did however, he looked up towards the night sky with a smirk. "Let's rewrite history…shall we…Scott…?" He spoke, and with those words spoken, The Figure flew off into the skies of Toronto, plotting his vengeance towards Scott Pilgrim (Whatever it was...).

Oooh, that was a pretty intense for the start of the story, wasn't it? O_o

So many questions to ask here: Who is The Shadow Figure? What relations does he have with Scott Pilgrim's life? And, as obvious as the answer might seem, what is is reason for revenge?
