CHAPTER 3

NightWing Confrontation

Darkstalker and Shadowspear were pacing back and forth in different directions. However, the dragons were suspecting something going on behind the scenes. When Moonwatcher's roar was heard, she was accompanied with the Black Eagles students. Unfortunately, Darkstalker had some yelling to do. He was repeatedly yelling at Moonwatcher because he could not let go of his past with her. Shez even questioned what had happened with Darkstalker.

"It happened long ago, Shez." said Moonwatcher.

Moonwatcher remembered everything that had happened long ago.

"Why have you come back to me, Darkstalker?" asked Moon to Darkstalker.

"Moonwatcher…I….I….I…." Darkstalker mumbled.

"You what? Spit it out of your mouth, Darkstalker!" yelled Moonwatcher.

"I have wanted to start a new life with a friend of mine, Moonwatcher. His name is Shadowspear. I promised him that…we would work as one defending the world from all happiness!" Darkstalker said.

As Moonwatcher called Darkstalker a pathetic hybrid monster, he was scratched really hard by Moonwatcher's sharp claws. Darkstalker then fought Moonwatcher. Unfortunately, Moonwatcher got away.

"You LIAR!" yelled Darkstalker.

"No, you're the liar, Darkstalker!" yelled Moon.

"Everyone!" yelled Edelgard. "This is not a time to argue."

"Yeah, but, who's that dragon right there?" asked Monica. "Could it be…"

"SHADOWSPEAR!" yelled everyone.

"It is I, Shadowspear the NightWing!" yelled Shadowspear. "I have wanted to rid happiness of the Fodlan continent! I have….captured….all your classmates and warped their little minds to turn them into my personal puppets!"

"So it was you?!" asked Monica. "You bastardous monster!"

"Oh, why thank you, tiny scavenger. I get that a lot." said Shadowspear.

"Moonwatcher, get Lady Rhea." said Edelgard.

"At once." said Moonwatcher.

Moonwatcher later went back to get Lady Rhea.

"So, the Archbishop's getting involved now, eh?" asked Shadowspear. "What's she gonna do? Stab me with the sword of Saint Seiros?"

"We thrive to slay the evil NightWings Darkstalker and Shadowspear!" yelled Hubert. "Come here!" he said as he cast black magic to Shadowspear. Darkstalker later dodged it by breathing a deadly, toxic fire at Hubert's magic.

"Damn it, not a single effect." said Hubert.

Soon, Moonwatcher returned. But however, Rhea was missing. Could she have turned into the Immaculate One? One could only guess.

Soon, the Immaculate One, truly Rhea, appeared from the sky. As the Immaculate One landed, she has asked Darkstalker and Shadowspear what they have truly done to the students. Shadowspear then answered by attacking the Immaculate One. Catherine later showed up with her Thunderbrand sword.

"So Thuderstrike Cassandra later arrives with the mighty Thunderbrand?" asked Darkstalker.

"No one can strike us down now!" yelled Shadowspear.

"Hey!" yelled Catherine. "Catherine's the only name I answer to now. Face the Knight of Seiros who wields the mighty Thunderbrand!"

Shadowspear flew away.

"This is really going to cost us." said Linhardt.

"Come on!" yelled Ferdinand. "Shadowspear's getting away!"

"I don't think that is the case." said Edelgard. "Look. The Immaculate One's going to find him.

Could Shadowspear really be defeated by Lady Rhea as the Immaculate One? Moonwatcher predicted that Shadowspear would lose the battle.

The fight went on with fatal brutality. Darkstalker joined in to assault Lady Rhea. Then, a bunch of Wild Demonic Beasts came in to attempt to kill her. As Moonwatcher saw Lady Rhea suffering from loss, she decided to help out by attacking the Demonic Beasts with her brutal fire. What she never realized was that she had accidentally injured Lady Rhea. She later shifted back to her true human self after the wild demonic beasts got away. Moonwstcher later got her to safety, but unfortunately, she needed heavy healing. Edelgard hoped that it would not be the end for Lady Rhea. As the Black Eagles students kept a good eye on the Archbishop, Moonwatcher later took Edelgard and Hubert to fight off Darkstalker and Shadowspear. Thanks to Hubert's black magic, Darkstalker met his fate. But there was still the vicious shadowspear that needed attention drawn on.

"Quick!" yelled Edelgard. "Find help!"

Hapi and Balthus later arrived at the scene. Hapi, who used her sighing to summon giant monstrous wolves, later ordered them to attack Shadowspear.

"Hapi…" thought Edelgard.

"What the hell is going on?" asked Hubert.

The Giant Wolves later attacked Shadowspear, making him bleed to his death. As he fell, a minor earthquake ensued.

"Is Shadowspear done for?" asked Hubert.

"Is Lady Rhea okay?" asked Balthus.

"Let's go see!" yelled Edelgard.

Lady Rhea was getting healed by Dorothea. As she wasn't fully recovered, Dorothea asked Moonwatcher to take Lady Rhea back to Garreg Mach Monastery for proper nursing. As Moonwatcher agreed to assist Lady Rhea, she said that it was the last thing she would do for her, as she wanted to return to Pyrrhia to see her SandWing mate Qibli. So, Moonwatcher took Rhea back to Garreg Mach Monastery. The Black Eagles and their friends followed forth, leaving behind Darkstalker and Shadowspear. Edelgard wondered what would happen to the berserked students.

"...I'll have someone come assist them, hoping they are not dead from the dangerous NightWings." said Monica.

"OK." said Edelgard. "I'll…speak with Seteth's sister Flayn about this mess."

And so, it has come clear that Shadowspear was the one responsible for the mess with the students. However, some suspect that Shadowspear was not completely dead with Darkstalker. As Moonwatcher headed on back to Pyrrhia to see her mate Qibli the SandWing, she had told him everything that has happened in Fodlan.

And that was the Nightmare of Shadowspear.

THE END

CONCLUSION AND ENDNOTES

I really have to apologize for how short this came out. It was not planned to be long, this was meant to be slightly short. Plus, I enjoyed how this came out. I liked planning out how Rhea (as the Immaculate One) was going to fight off Darkstalker and Shadowspear. That was one of my favorite parts about this story.

Thanks for reading Nightmare of Shadowspear, and I am looking forward to writing more Wings of Fire/Fire Emblem stories in the near future!
