Dennis: What happened, Coop? Why did you rush out of the psychologist's office?
Coop: Because she thinks I'm delusional, and I hear these voices, but she doesn't.- Coop then puts his hand to his ear again and hears a strong buzzing. - I still hear it, Dennis, how does it not bother you?
Dennis: I don't hear anything.
The traces of despair and frustration were visible on Coop's face as he looked at Dennis, who watched his friend with empathy but also confusion.
Dennis: But Coop, are you sure these voices are real? Maybe it's just because of stress...
Coop: No! I'm not imagining it! They're real, Dennis, and only I hear them. Mr. Kat has something to do with it, I'm sure of it. This is some new trick of his to drive me crazy.
Dennis: I think we should call your mom.
—-
Returning to Fiona and Monica. They are heading towards the psychologist's office.
Monica: You know, Fiona, I'm here because one of my instruments detected a strange frequency. I noticed some anomalies in the surrounding electromagnetic activity, came across an extremely high-frequency signal barely perceptible to the human ear, but strong enough to disturb certain people, or maybe just one person. And these signals were coming from this house, but Coop isn't here anymore.
As Monica finishes her explanation, her voice is serious and filled with concern. Suddenly, her phone rings, breaking the tense silence. After a moment of hesitation, she takes out her device and sees that Coop is calling. She quickly answers the call while Fiona listens attentively.
Monica: (worriedly) Hello, Kid. Are you okay?
Coop: (from the other end of the line, his voice confused) Mom, strange things happened at the psychologist's. I heard voices that only bothered me. Dennis says there was nothing, but I'm sure something's not right.
Worry tightens Monica's face as she listens to Coop's account. Fiona steps closer to better hear the conversation.
Monica: I understand. Don't worry, we're already working on it. We found something that could explain what you heard. Stay calm and try not to dwell on it too much. As soon as we know more, we'll take action.
Coop: Okay, Mom.
Monica: Take care of yourselves, and call if you notice anything new.
Monica ends the call and sighs deeply, looking at Fiona. The conversation confirmed her suspicion, and now it's even more crucial to act quickly.
Monica: Fiona, Coop confirmed my suspicion. The device has already had its effect. It's time for us to act before more trouble occurs.
Fiona: But what should we do?
Monica: First, we need to meet with Coop and Dennis. We have to make sure Coop is safe and inform them about our plans. Secondly, I need to return to the lab for a special device capable of localizing and neutralizing the disruptive frequency.
Fiona: I see. Then we need to act fast.
As the two women quickly move towards the agreed meeting point, Fiona ponders for a moment. She's worried about Coop but also excited to be part of such a special mission. At the psychologist's office, Dennis and Coop are already waiting for them. Tension is evident on Coop's face, and as the two women approach them, he suddenly flinches as if hit by another strong sound wave. Fiona immediately rushes to Coop's side.
Fiona: Coop, are you okay?
Coop: (suffering) Yeah, just... these sounds. They're so loud.
Fiona looks worriedly at Monica, who quickly intervenes.
Monica: We are working on a possible solution. Kid, try to concentrate and don't let these sounds take over completely. I know it's hard, but try to stay strong.
Dennis steps forward as well, placing a reassuring hand on Coop's shoulder.
Dennis: Coop, if anyone can deal with this, it's you.
At this point, Fiona steps forward, speaking with determination.
Fiona: Monica, what can we do now? How can we help Coop get rid of these sounds?
Monica: We already have a plan. First, we need to precisely localize where these sounds are coming from. Fiona, I'll need your help, and Dennis's too. We need to work together to find and destroy Mr. Kat's device causing this.
Fiona nods, responding with the same determined look as the others.
As the group - Monica, Fiona, Coop, and Dennis - sets out to find and destroy the source of the disturbing noises, they are confronted with an unexpected turn of events. Mr. Kat, who has been observing them from the sidelines, now directly blocks their path, holding a strange, intricate device that clearly serves as the generator of the disruptive sounds.
Coop immediately recognizes the device in his hand and points to it angrily.
Coop: Look! This is it! Mr. Kat has a device that's making these noises!
Monica quickly reacts, trying to formulate a strategy.
Monica: Everyone, be careful! Let's not allow him to escape with this device. We need to get it to stop the noises.
Mr. Kat, realizing he's been caught and knowing his plan's success is at risk, quickly starts to flee, leading them towards a cleverly laid trap in the garden. The group, determined and cautious but resolute, follows, trying not to lose sight of him.
Fiona, who has been desperately trying to understand the situation, now fully immerses herself in the excitement of the chase. As they approach the garden, Fiona steps up beside Coop.
Fiona: Coop, listen to me! If we get that device, this will all be over. You lead the way, you know Mr. Kat's habits best.
Coop nods, trying to ignore the disturbing noises and focusing all his attention on Mr. Kat. Upon reaching the garden, Mr. Kat attempts clever maneuvers to shake them off, but the group doesn't give up.
Dennis, approaching the problem from the technological side, tries to anticipate Mr. Kat's next moves.
Dennis: Watch out for the bushes and hidden obstacles! Mr. Kat likes to set traps.
During the pursuit, Mr. Kat momentarily stops, turns back, and with a press of a button, activates the disruptive noise generator, emitting a powerful, almost unbearable buzzing directly towards Coop.
Coop flinches at the sound, but Fiona quickly rushes to his aid, grabbing his arm to support him.
Fiona: Don't let it defeat you, Coop! We're together, and together we'll overcome!
This collective effort gives Coop enough strength to push through, and finally, with a coordinated effort, the group corners Mr. Kat and wrests the device from him. Monica quickly neutralizes the generator, putting an end to the disturbing noises.
As the group breathes a sigh of relief at having rid themselves of the smaller disruptive noise generator, Monica suddenly stops, attentively examining her instrument.
Monica: Wait, I'm still sensing something. A much stronger signal... underneath the garden. It seems there's a larger generator still operating.
Fiona: What's the plan then? How do we get to the generator?
Coop: The problem is, Dad is in the garden. I don't want him to see this whole thing. Millie is there too, and I don't want to involve her either.
At that moment, Burt, who had been working in the garden earlier, suddenly announces he's going to the shed to fetch more tools, leaving the garden empty except for Millie, who continues enthusiastically gardening.
The group acts quickly and heads towards the garden to discover and destroy the main generator. As they try to pinpoint its exact location, an unexpected encounter occurs.
Monica, while searching in a hidden part of the garden, accidentally runs into Millie. Millie looks surprised at the stranger lurking in their garden.
Millie: Hey, who are you? What are you doing here?
Monica, not wanting to reveal her true identity, quickly thinks about how to respond without arousing Millie's suspicion.
Monica: Oh, just... I'm a gardening expert. I'm here to help examine the plants. I noticed some of them are growing surprisingly fast.
Millie, always curious about the garden and its secrets, looks slightly suspicious but ultimately accepts the explanation.
Millie: Oh, I see. Dad always says our garden is special. But I haven't seen you here before.
Monica: Yes, I've only recently started working in this area. But don't worry, everything is perfectly fine. Just make sure to take care of the garden, okay?
During the garden confrontation that follows, the group collaborates to find and disable the generator, which not only generates the disturbing noises but also affects the growth of the plants, proving that Mr. Kat's plans are much more comprehensive than they initially thought.
As Monica, Fiona, Coop, and Dennis continue their search deep into the garden, they soon stumble upon a hidden entrance leading to an underground lab. Inside the lab, Mr. Kat awaits them, next to the main generator emitting buzzing noises, clearly the cause of the anomalies in the environment.
Dennis quickly works on cracking the code while Fiona watches the struggle between Mr. Kat and Coop, ready to assist if needed. Monica, observing every movement, stands ready to intervene if necessary.
Finally, Dennis successfully cracks the code, and the generator suddenly goes silent. The buzzing noises cease, and peace returns to the garden and the surrounding area.
Mr. Kat, seeing his failure, grumbles in anger, then quickly disappears through a hidden escape route, leaving the team to celebrate victory.
Coop, relieved, gratefully looks at his friends and family.
Coop: Thank you, guys. Without you being here, we would never have been able to stop Mr. Kat.
Monica, Fiona, and Dennis nod in agreement, knowing that it was their teamwork that led to overcoming the challenge.
Monica: This just goes to show how important it is for us to work together. Together, we are stronger.
As the team steps back onto the surface, into the garden where the plants are now growing at a normal pace, they all breathe a sigh of relief, knowing that together they can overcome anything.
As the team, Monica, Coop, Dennis, and Fiona gather in the garden, Monica notices Burt and Millie returning. Quickly assessing the situation, knowing she can't reveal her presence to Burt and Millie, she discreetly slips away through the back fence unnoticed before anyone notices.
Burt, looking concernedly at Coop, Dennis, and Fiona, approaches them with a serious expression.
Burt: Coop, I got a call from the psychologist. She said you ran out in the middle of the session. What happened?
Coop is embarrassed, not knowing how to explain the real events to his father without getting into the world of aliens and secret missions.
Coop: I just... suddenly didn't feel well, Dad. I didn't want to disrupt things there.
At this point, Millie chimes in curiously.
Millie: And what about that gardening expert? She said she's here to help our plants.
Burt looks curiously at Millie, then at Coop and the others.
Burt: What gardening expert are you talking about? I didn't hire an expert here.
Before anyone can respond, Burt, reminding himself of something, turns back towards the house.
Burt: We'll talk about this later. Right now, I need to go in and take care of something.
As Burt goes back into the house, Millie, still curious and somewhat suspicious, steps closer to Coop and looks at him with a serious expression.
Millie: Why do I feel like you know something I don't?
Coop, trying to keep the secrets and protect his sister from the complicated truth, carefully responds.
Coop: I don't know what you're talking about, Millie. I just had a bad day, that's all.
But Millie is not satisfied with the answer and asks loudly.
Millie: Then who was the woman with the hair color like mine?
Coop, knowing he can't reveal everything, carefully deflects the question.
Coop: I don't know what you're talking about, Millie.
Millie still looks at Coop skeptically, but eventually accepts the explanation, knowing that Coop sometimes does mysterious things that she doesn't always understand. Although Millie's curiosity isn't completely satisfied, she decides to let it go for now.
Millie: I'll keep my eyes on you, brother! - Millie looked at Coop with a serious look, feeling that her brother is trying to hide something important from her.
As Burt returns, holding a gardening tool he went in for, he brings up the topic of the gardening expert again.
Burt: You know, I was thinking about what Millie said. Maybe Mrs. Munson hired that gardening expert, just got the house number wrong.
Fiona, sensing the need to divert attention and preserve Monica's secret, quickly seizes the opportunity to join the conversation.
Fiona: Yeah, I vaguely remember Mrs. Munson mentioning it. I think there was some problem with her own garden, and she needed an expert.
Burt, reassured by Fiona's words, nods.
Burt: That makes sense. Ms. Munson has always been very particular about her garden.
Coop and Dennis look at each other relieved, grateful for Fiona's quick thinking that helped smooth things over and preserve the secret.
Millie, though still curious, decides to let the matter rest for now, seeing that nobody wants to say more.
Millie: I'll be watching you, big brother! - Millie looked at Coop with a serious look, feeling that her brother is trying to hide something important from her.
As Dennis realizes it's time to leave before more questions arise.
Dennis: Oh, by the way, I still need to help my dad in the garage. It's really important that we finish what we started today. So, sorry, but I gotta go.
Everyone accepts Dennis's excuse and waves goodbye as he hurriedly leaves.
At that moment, Fiona's aunt, who lives next door, calls out over the fence.
Aunt: Fiona! It's time to help me prepare for tomorrow's garden party! Come on, please!
Fiona: Oh, right! I completely forgot about that. Sorry, but I have to go. I need to help my aunt.
As Fiona says her goodbyes and heads towards her aunt, Coop decides to join his father and Millie in gardening, trying to get back to the rhythm of normal family life.
Coop: Dad, can I help with anything in the garden?
Burt gladly accepts Coop's offer.
Burt: Of course, son. There's plenty to do here for all of us.
At the end of the day, as the family gathers in the garden, Burt cautiously approaches Coop to share the psychologist's message with him.
Burt: Coop, the psychologist said he's expecting you back in a week. I want you to take this seriously. It's important that we talk about what's troubling you.
Coop, deeply contemplating before responding, sets a condition.
Coop: Okay, Dad. I'll go back, but on one condition. I want to meet Uncle George, Mom's brother.
Burt is surprised by Coop's request, knowing that family stories and the past are sensitive topics.
Burt: Uncle George? Why do you want to meet him?
Coop: I want to learn more about our maternal family. I know we don't talk much about them, especially about Mom's dad, but Uncle George... maybe he could tell me about Mom without... you know, starting to talk about aliens.
Burt pauses for a moment, feeling the tension between the past and the present, but seeing his children's genuine interest.
Burt: Alright, Coop. I'll try to get in touch with him. But I can't promise anything.
At this point, Millie chimes in too.
Millie: I'd like to meet Uncle George too! I've always been curious about our maternal family.
Burt nods with a smile towards Millie, understanding that this is important to both of his children.
Burt: Alright, both of you. We'll see what we can do. I'm sure Uncle George would be happy to know you want to meet him.

Monica sits alone in her apartment, staring at her laptop screen. She's watching a video of her father, Dr. Salib, because she wants to know more about hisr researchs.
Ibrahim (in the video): ...and these findings are clear evidence that we are not alone in the universe. The structure and material of the objects found during the excavations far surpass our current technology, indicating extraterrestrial origin...
The events of the day replay in her mind, especially the moment when Millie saw her in the garden. The fact that she didn't erase Millie's memories now fills her with worry. Everything happened so quickly that she didn't have time to consider the consequences. Monica also ponders how to approach Burt in this situation. How could she explain everything to him? How could such a conversation even begin?
She imagines herself ringing the doorbell of their house and Burt opening the door for her.
Burt (in the imagined conversation): Mo-Mo-Monica? But this is impossible, because you…
Monica (in the imagined conversation): The truth is, I'm alive, I just don't remember anything from the past few years, not even why I left you.
Burt: (in the imagined response) Monica, this... this is incredible. But why didn't you reach out to us earlier? Why didn't you tell us the truth?
Monica: I was afraid. Afraid that you wouldn't believe me, or that you wouldn't take me back. And because of my memory loss, I wasn't sure who I really was, or what I should do.
As Monica considers this imagined dialogue, she realizes how complicated it would be to actually take this step. However, she knows that if she ever hopes to reunite with them, she'll have to face this situation sooner or later.
Monica sighs deeply and decides to continue monitoring her family from a distance while she searches for the best way to re-enter their lives – a way that might be less shocking or painful for all of them.
Dear Readers,
I would like to share a personal update with you that will impact my writing activities in the near future.
With the start of the new semester and the initiation of a new translator training program at the university, I feel it's time to slow down my writing pace a bit. These academic commitments require a lot of my time and energy, and I want to fully meet them.
This doesn't mean that I'm giving up on writing; it just means that I will be progressing at a slower pace. I want to give myself the time and space to do quality work, rather than rushing the process.
I have an exciting idea for my next story, which will focus on the relationship between Coop and Fiona, revolving around a skateboarding competition with a unique twist. I would like to devote more time and attention to this project, to fully exploit its potential without compromising on quality.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support. I look forward to sharing my new story with you when the time comes. Until then take care of yourselves!
