Ace was done with it. He was so done with it. And now, he was gonna show that he was in the right and that he did know about what he was talking, even if he looked young and how the man in front of him was talking absolute bullshit about ancient Greek mythology and history.

He pressed his hand against the man's mouth "Shut up. Or else, I'll make you." he hissed in a much deeper voice than everyone else knew he was capable of making. Even the man looked surprised. If it was because the young boy, he was arguing with, was suddenly touching him or because of that drastic change in behavior wasn't clear. But it didn't matter anyways.

Ace friends were slowly starting to worry... He had some drinks with them, and they knew Ace was kind of a hot head when buzzed or even drunk. And he was arguing with that man for what felt like an hour already, so it was only a matter of time before his temper would get the better of him.

Marco stepped forward to calm his boyfriend. He carefully took his hand and gave it a small squeeze. "Come on, Ace. What's wrong-yoi.", he leaned more towards his Lover's ear, "He's not worth it, he's just an old man, who cares what he's saying, hm?" Ace just scoffed "I care! Very much so, even. So please, step aside and let me teach this senile dumbfuck a lesson about ancient Greek mythology."

he glared at his opponent who made an offended sound, clearly not pleased with how Ace had called him.

Ace freed his hand carefully and gave Marco a soft push, so he would step aside again. He would not step down. He was in the right and he knew this Fuckers time was almost over anyways. He was okay with a lot. And usually, he wouldn't care so much about it. But first of all, this old man wouldn't shut up about it and was almost screaming his so-called facts. Secondly, he was an old, apparently very conservative man who had made some comments about gays. And Ace was nobody who would let someone else talk badly about his boyfriend or his friends. Adding to his stubbornness about having a talk with that man was that it was about Greek mythology and that he did have some drinks, the reason why they had left the Gay bar. Ace wasn't drunk but pleasantly buzzed. And this old man was ruining his mood and was, on top of that, making everyone else feeling uncomfortable.

Marco was surprised to say the least. Ace was hot headed, yes. But normally he listened to Marco and was always somewhat polite towards others, more so towards elderly people. Why was Ace reacting so much to the man's words? It was even more confusing because Ace reacted more to the lies and wrong facts about Greek history than the insults towards his friends. Marco shared a look with the rest, each one looking a bit clueless about how to react to this. Marco looked back at Ace, who was now avoiding the cane that the man was threatening him with. Ace usually only laughed about Greek mythology. Really. Every time he was in a bad mood, all you had to do was place him in front of a documentary about it and he would soon start to laugh and be happy again. His behavior was not like Marco was used to it. Almost unrecognizable.

Ace was starting to get mad. This man now even dared to insult him! Him! If he knew who Ace really was, he would piss himself! The thought made Ace laugh. His laugh was bone-chilling, not the warm or amused laugh he usually had, not even the mean one, when someone had messed up. It sounded like it belonged to someone else, the voice a deep rumbling, sounding strong and like someone mighty was laughing. More fitting for a demon and not a 22 year old, young man who was having a night out with friends. Said one became quiet and was not even more confused about his antics.

"You're just a kid! How dare you speak up to me like this! You should respect me! Back when I was still a kid, my father would have beaten the shit out of me if I would have talked to anyone the way you talk to me!", the man hollered. Ace only mumbled something under his breath, still not stepping back and just holding the end of the cane away from his body. That only angered the man more. "And don't you dare to correct me! I have studied mythology for Years! I know everything! I don't get my knowledge like you, out of a stupid phone. I have learned everything and can remember it all at will! If I tell you, the orgies were a lie and only made up to be more attractive for young sinful people like you and your scum friends then it's the truth! Not my problem if you can't handle it!" he was interrupted by another laugh. It was loud and actually kind of scary. Someone of Ace's stature shouldn't be able to make such sounds. But he was.

"So... I guess you're also convinced that there was no incest among the God's and they are not married to their siblings and what not, right? Only human people up there in the Olympus, huh?" The man was blessed to look even more offended than he already had, staring at Ace in disbelief. "Of course!" and with that Ace's smile slipped. "I don't like you. And I can live with that. I can ignore you and your pathetic existence with ease. But what I can't and won't ignore is how you're talking bullshit about my friends and even more importantly my love and family. Your time on earth is almost up, old man. Don't make me shorten it down for you even more! You don't know who you're talking to. I'm not supposed to respect you just because you're older! Then following that logic, you'd need to bow to me as deep as your old and weak back will allow it to you. You're just an

unimportant mortal, nothing more than dirt under my feet. But I. I am a God! So shut your mouth and leave my friends and everybody else alone already! It's not our fault nobody likes you because you're just a shitty old man whose friends all have already died or left him because it's so hard to like or even love a man like you are.", scolded Ace while looming dangerously over the man. What he didn't notice is how his eyes had started to glow during his speech. He could now see himself in the reflection of the man's eyes, which had dilated in pure fright by looking at how Ace's usual dark brown eyes had changed to a bright orange, glowing dangerously. And he felt that he couldn't care less. He would show that man who he really was. And then kill him. Take him with him. In the back of his mind, he was aware of his friends standing behind him and staring at him in worry and that Marco could see his eyes as well.

Marco could only stare. What was happening? He blinked again, trying to make sure he was not dreaming. It really looked like Ace's eyes were glowing... Orange? From where was the light coming? And what was Ace talking about? He, a God? Was he having a stroke or something? Marco didn't believe in heaven or demons and stuff, but was Ace possessed? Was he playing a prank on them? That whole situation was ridiculous! "Ace? I think that's enough. Let's go home." he tried again, since none of his friends or brothers were stepping in. Luckily, they were the only ones out at the moment so it wouldn't be that hard to leave the man alone. "Ace, we really should-" "No. No, I'm not going to let him off. Let me do my work or leave me alone.", Ace interrupted him. "Wha-" "you heard me. I-" "Back up you Demon! Let go of me you scum! I'll call the cops on you and your fucking sickening whore friends of you for attacking me!", The man screamed and tried to kick Ace.

Ace has had enough. That was too much. He had warned that human more than once, hadn't he? And he could see that man had only minutes left. Looks like Ace was the reason for someone's death again, after all those years. Oh, he would happily do as his sisters were telling him to do. And so, he changed.

Ace shoved the man to the ground before said one could try to harm him or his friends. He grinned down at the man. "Meet your fate, old man. Meet me." and with that, a black and white cloud like smoke emerged out of nowhere and wrapped itself around Ace, hiding his appearance. Before anyone could do something, it was gone again. They all stared at Ace, and even more at the big black and somewhat strong looking wings coming from his back. He had changed, he was at least 20 centimeters taller now, his eyes glowed in a bright orange, his hair was now a bit longer and pitch black, his body was more muscular and only clothed in white fabric, like someone would wear it when dressing up as an ancient God or something. He had a burning torch in his hand and an old looking knife, a dagger, in the other. And Marco had to admit, Ace looked hot.

"y-y... y-you-" "I am Thanatos", Ace started to tell in a really deep, vibrating voice, the one they had heard before when he laughed. The man was trembling and shaking on the ground, trying to crawl away but was too terrified to move a muscle. "I'm Death itself. I'm one of those Gods that You, mortal, thought to know. You have offended not only me but also my siblings and parents, my friends-" he motioned towards said ones who were frozen in place, "- and my Love." he motioned with one of his wings to Marco, never lifting his glare off of the trembling man in front of him. "And

you will pay for it.'' When the man opened his mouth, Thanatos just spread his wings and looked even more intimidating, making the man freeze. "You have said enough. And as you may know, I won't change my mind anyways." Ace, Thanatos, moved down and picked that man up with ease, holding him by his neck. "You will die now... And just so you know, up there in the Olympus we're no saints, we're not bound to biology, we can do everything, we're Gods! And you're just scum." and with that, the man really died. A see-through version of him fell out of his slack body, while Thanatos cut a strand of hair off him with his dagger. He placed the body back down and let his wing engulf the man's soul, Bringing him down to the underworld. He then turned around, now facing his friends, who were staring at him in disbelief and even fear, not able to understand what just happened. He wasn't mad about it. Yes, he was known for having a, and he quotes, 'heart of iron and his spirit within him is pitiless as bronze' and he had been like that, all those hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Before he had started to live among the mortals, in disguise of course. He changed his voice back and let himself shrink back to his known height to look and sound less threatening. "Please. Don't scream, faint or run away. I will explain it to you, okay?" His plea was met with silence. He ruffled his feathers, feeling really uncomfortable and decided to change back completely.

After a quick motion with his wings, he was back to normal, how his friend knew him. With his black shorts and orange shirt, brown eyes and his friendly look on his face, no longer that death glare he wore only seconds ago. His wings vanished too. "...What..." Ace nodded, holding up his hands "I know. I know. It's a lot and it's hard to understand. And I'm terribly sorry for showing it all to you. I just couldn't hold back anymore and... I feel like I should tell you at some time anyways because I like you and feel like I can trust you with who I really am... Yeah..." and with that, almost everyone fainted.

Ace singed and went to his lover first, checking on him and pressing a soft kiss to his head. They would forget about it. They all would. It had happened before. And they never remembered anything. Oh, how he hoped they wouldn't faint someday. He wanted to tell them so badly who he was. How he was the personification of death, how he had decided to live among the mortals after wanting to experience love himself. Back up in Olympus, almost everyone hated him. And the humans weren't that fond about death too. So, he wasn't liked by much at all. He had learned to be someone else, not be Death all the time, to be Ace, his own person. He still fulfilled his duty. But much like all the other God's, he had been able to lay back a bit when all the humans started to believe in that theory that there was only one God. That would be a lot of work for only one person.

He picked them up and brought one by one home, tucking them in their bed nicely, making them feel comfortable. He would try to tell them at another time. When he arrived at home and made himself ready for bed, Marco went up to him and hugged him sleepily. "Hey pretty boy~ I just had a really nice dream-yoi about you~yoi~ You looked even better than you already do and were a God and stuff... " Marco mumbled against his neck, nuzzling himself closer to his lover and pressing small kisses on his skin "and the guy who you argued with this evening died... That's a bit weird..." Marco lifted his head again and frowned at Ace through the mirror. "Why am I dreaming something like that? Yoi?" he had a puzzled look on his face but shrugged not long after, pulling Ace even closer to cuddle.

The later one finished brushing his teeth and then turned around to cuddle his love, kissing him carefully for maybe the last time in his immortal life. "It wasn't a dream... " he started, before explaining everything to Marco, even showing his true form. He told him how he could see someone's lifespan and therefore when someone will die, he told him that his sister had cut the string that resembled the man's life and that he had indeed died. How Ace himself had done nothing to him. He told why he left Olympus, after speaking with his father about it. How he had learned to act like a human, how he had become who he is now, Ace explained everything. And he feared Marcos's reaction. He never before had remembered what had happened, and thanks to his sleepiness, Marco couldn't understand everything and managed to stay calm, asking a lot of questions or letting him repeat explanations. After all, Ace had to promise him that he would explain everything again, tomorrow, when Marco was completely sober, just to be sure. Then they went to bed.

The next morning, Ace did as he had promised. Marco needed some time to think about everything and Ace left for some days, giving him some room. You didn't learn about your boyfriend being a God, to be specific, death himself, every day, do you? So, Ace understood it. And much to his joy, Marco asked him out on a date again, bringing him to a museum about Greek, so he could tell him more and explain all the faults archaeologists and other people had made. Marco got to know Ace on the other side, his God side, Thanatos, and after some months, it was clear that he was okay with who Ace was, slowly adapting to it and accepting it. They once tried to tell their friend about it too, but they all fainted again which had made Marco panic and Ace annoyed. But it was okay. Marco knew and still loved him.

SO! That was the first chapter! I hope you enjoyed it! I don't know shit about Greek mythology myself and only googled everything... So yeah, I hope it's okay the way it is. (feel free to point out mistakes I made!)
