On the subject of the message of 'Trust Your Heart' yeah I admit that could have been phrased better but I was trying to imply Ancient One does know something about the future and is trying to give hints without giving it away
After the Rituals of False Dawn were completed and the Turtles had, had some fun splashing in the river the Turtles returned to the camp, they were informed soon the Tribe would do their duty to get on the road again to get to the next member of Chanchalla's family they had been informed of this duty in dreams and visions and would do everything they could to help 'Chanchalla and her otherworldly helpers' on their quest as they had been informed doing so was paramount to Dardunah's survival as the an Evil and Insane Sir'Hibasi had finally decided to do the unthinkable, and attempt to summon and control the Devourer the Ultimate Enemy of the Janah of whom even Great Mother and Father could only flee from powerless to do anything against.
The Turtles remained tight lipped, they already had a very good idea of the true nature of the Devourer but they knew they couldn't reveal such things to these Janah, less they start a tidal wave of hysteria and mass panic in these devoutly relgious people who were not yet ready to know the truth of their origins, that they didn't begin as beings of pure spirit simply cloaked in many forms to hide them from the Devourer, rather they were mere beasts in a menagerie granted humanoid form and intelligence by their benevolent caretakers. But oh man! Was it hard not to squirm thinking about it as Seven-Scars laid out the plan to them...
Chanchalla was with Aneka, she felt it was import to perform the translation spell on him, (All though she knew there was a risk he could betray if he felt strongly enough that his soul was at risk doing all these strange things)
She also knew she could not give him the gift of understanding without his explicit consent, so this morning she would try to persuide him, to prove to him these Otherworlders were good despite how strange they looked compared to Janah, she told what little she could, she showed him the gifts she had received the sports bra and shorts she was still wearing as well as the pair of tonfa she had recived as they had begun training her in self-defense.
Aneka his head now throughly bandaged (Of which he was secertly grateful for so the two wounds on his head where his antlers once were could not be seen) Raised an eyebrow "You? Learn to fight? I thought Sir'hibas didn't need such things since they have their magic."
Challa demonstrated the Katas she had learned in an attempt to impress her brother. "I would have thought the same thing...But I was informed either way I should learn to fight because the enemies they had in the past of...Ruthless...In ways you don't want to know about...And I learned when I tried to practice rituals that, probobly because I was too far from Dardunah, too far from the Devah my magic didn't work like normal it only worked very eratically..."
Neither Chanchalla nor Aneka were aware they were being watching, a member of the tribe one of the few with a bright colored coat, a golden furred gibbon, was slyly weaving his way between the wagons, he was watching Chanchalla, she wasn't the most beautiful girl he had ever seen her plump figure seemed more befitting of a country farm girl than a Noble Lady in his mind,
Leo had also been keeping a close eye on Challa as a only a Ninja can so neither knew he was there, he had quickly noticed the Gibbon and immediately saw a wicked gleam in the Simian's eye that after years of fighting criminals in New York he was very familiar with and did not like at all!
So he weaved a path of his own through the camp, the Gibbon as a member of the Tribe was skilled in the art of stealth but Leo was on a whole other level!
The Gibbon never expected the three fingered hand to roughly grab him by the shirt and...Finding himself suddenly staring into the fearsome reptilian face unlike any Sarpah he had ever seen, it was a bit of an akward moment for both for a moment when the Gibbon's bladder emptied if it had been any of his brothers, even Donny to an extent this would have been the source of a momentary wisecrack, this had happened a few times before with low leval human crimanals, but this time Leo was not in the mood.
"What are you doing?" He asked trying to keep his voice down so not to raise alarm "Why were you leering at her like that?!"
And the Ape responded in what sounded like a Simian trying to speak like a human, and Leo remembered the language barrier, neither of them could understand each other...
After facepalming himself for forgetting, while still keeping tight hold of the Ape's shirt he remembered Challa before she gained the translation spell used gestures to communicate so he would do so here.
Tossing the Ape down he spoke very slowly and simply to emphisize his gestures.
"You..." He said pointing to the Gibbon "...Are to stay away from...Her..." He pointed to Challa "Or else...I..." He pointed to himself "...Will..." And he drew two fingers across his ouwn throat as he hoped the Ape would understand the 'Sliting the throat' gesture
The Ape seemed to get the point, and quickly scurried away, Leo knew he had to find Seven-Scars or one of the three Tribesmen who had the Translation Spell and report on what he had just done...
Once again I find I can't lay off the Simians in this tale but this was based off an Example in the second book Magic and Martial Arts as an anecdote demonstrating a Martial Arts Style where a Female Ferret defends herself against a Gibbon Sailor
