So here I finally decided that something that just seemed a coincidence (All the children of the family take the 'Jenu' (Form) of their opposite sex parent (Chanchalla is a sheep like their father, Aneka and Ari both take after their mothers) While in the terms of the game this is all perfectly plausable under Dardunah Law of genetics and they all could have turned out the other way or in more rare cases taken the Jenu of a more distant ancestor (Granparent, great-grandparent etc etc) Here I decided to make it a 'quirk' that the family had always had that Daughters will always take the Jenu of their Fathers (Or other male ancestor) and Sons will always take the Jenu of their mothers (Again or another female ancestor)Why is this? Not sure yet but I decided it so it can be important if I ever plan to write a sequeal to this story
After awakening from her dream, it was well past False Dawn...It had been late when she finally went to sleep she just had to perform the translation spell in Ari so he could be included in this circle of communication she had created...
She stepped out of the wagon, There she saw Ari talking to all four the Turtles
The Turtles had explained to the best of their ability what had happened, that Chanchalla had come to their world some dark and stormy night, in fact Leo felt as if someone was calling to him in his dreams asking for help, since they couldn't understand each other they had to be a little forceful and take Chanchalla into their home against her will because it was too dangerous for her, to just be running around unable to communicate she would have quickly been found by...Hostile beings...There Challa seemed to beg Krilarah for a way to understand her hosts and that's how the translation spell got started.
"You found my sister, sheltered and fed her..." Ari said "...For this I will be forever in your debt..."
"Please..." Leo said a bit flustered "...We...We would have done that for anyone..."
Ari wasn't sure what to make of that statement, did this world really have no reconition of caste? The fact these Turtles were so at ease in the sewers made him suspect he was their world's equivilent of Outcastes (Boy Howdy he didn't know the half of it!) but the fact they carried weapons and they seemed to be trained to be warriors like Sunborn just had him very confused, but then again the Wandering Tribes the Taskara were technically outcastes but they weren't the typical Pariah that lived in cities, the Taskara often claimed they were desendants of displaced royalty t this point having been brought down to Outcaste he wasn't sure what was truth anymore, but then thinking about that horrible night their lives changed forever, he realized something the crime that was commited was their father killing a fellow Sunborn who happened to be a Sarph which their Father had always felt a deep hatred and distrust until then he was just smart enough to keep it hidden, and here these...He could only classify them as Sarpah from another world had protected and helped his beloved sister in her hour of need, Ari noticed Challa peeking at them, realized he should tell her something he learned from poking around the family records.
"Challa..." Ari said "...Could I talk with you alone? There is something I think you need to know..."
When the two felt their were suffiantly alone Ari cleared his throat "I know the reason Father hates Sarpah so much, as you know our father is only an Aryah not a Great Aryah, we are the Nilam Branch of a Line whose Great Aryah is in Tishnia and we are part of that line through marriage not by blood..."
(All of them had been terrified to speak the name of their line now that they had been disgraced since by Dardunah Law they were no longer part of that line)
Challa nodded solemly
"Well..." Ari said "...A few years ago, I was...Poking through a book of our family history...Seems long ago before the wars of twilight, our Ancestors were Magar Royalty before the Sarpah invaded Magar, afterwards, one of the those ancestors, didn't go to Sustrum with the rest of his family because he had fallen in love with...A Woman...A Beautiful White Furred Deer and she bore him a Son that took her Jenu..."
And this came to the 'Quirk' of their family, for as long as they could remember in their family Sons would always take the Jenu of their Mothers and Daughters would always took the Jenu of their Fathers no one knew the reason why some speculated it was part of an ancient curse, and Chanchalla speculated the family habit of taking multiple wives or multiple husbands was a clumst attempt to hide this quirk, it seemed harmless enough but it was peculiar and the Janah have deep suspicions towards anything that is peculiar...And anyway it was well known that the former Magar Royalty who later would found the nation of Sustrum were Felines and it seemed they had become Feline Supremacist, and this one Feline Ancestor falling in love with and having a child with a Doe, meant he couldn't join the rest of the Felines in Sustrum,
"Despite the fact that it was falling in love with a Janah of different Jenu meant he had to leave the rest of his family..." Ari said "...He never could forget the fact his family had lost their royal status and their homeland because of the Sarpah, thus he kept the tradition going through the family, never trust a Sarpah, even when moving to countries like Tishnia and Nilam where the three races live in peace."
So there you go, Lord Ayrram's reason he doesn't trust Sarpah very petty at this point but his family made a tradition of it
