Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of A Lingering Ember. Enjoy the 8600-word chapter. I don't own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth dos.
(Mistral.)
Trivia looked at Ollie who had been silent, far more silent than she which part of her questioned if it was general attempts at mockery or something else. Ollie turned his bandaged head towards her, it was still sad to see he was in such a sorry state for no damn reason.
Something had to be capable of fixing this damage and for his help. She felt she'd ensure that it was found for now. Ollie could see it end sometime soon.
Perhaps she could find it properly at the moment, she didn't know how much she could do without the full weight of her resources from her family… If anything? All she could do was offer her words.
It wasn't to be easy, nor would it be something she could reflect upon. Neo was stirring in her mind as she tapped on her side before clicking her tongue against her mouth as she seemed to question what to do more and more.
"It's going to be worse and worse." Ollie heard before he sighed and then turned to Trivia.
"So, what was life like back before now?" Ollie questioned as he tilted his head before crossing his arms. "Sorry, I need to think. I hope you're going to be, ok?" Ollie stated before he rubbed at his temples.
Ollie yawned; his fingers cracked as he looked for an answer. He didn't know how to have this go anytime soon. All of this was going to be harder and harder and yet. He welcomed it at the end of the day.
She tilted her head to the side, all too curious as to how well this would have gone down without her friends to help her. There were so many ways this could all go wrong; it wasn't clear as to how this wasn't going to have to question sooner or later if anything. It'd only make things worse, far worse.
She leaned on Ollie who only tilted his head at her but said and did nothing to stop her. Ollie was happy she was content enough to give the idea of freedom and peace. It'd be a nice dream if people didn't need to wake up at all, still? The problems involved were too much, far too much and so much more.
It wasn't going to be easy anytime soon for the pair so the idea she was able to relax was something he needed to cherish because it wasn't going to exist for much longer in their type of world, not while they still had some time to process easily. No, if anything? They'd be on the run soon for a LONG TIME considering how petty and horrid the Crown would turn out to be sooner or later.
Still? He could not help but laugh at it all. There was so much more to have to question now.
It wasn't going to be a hard problem to have to focus upon as to what to do as of now, it wasn't going to be easy to escape.
Perhaps she'd find it better to focus on her assignment. It would not be long at all before it all ended and yet. She was not at remise in finding Ollie's company inviting and soothing. It had been a long time since she had been able to relax and not constantly fret over such issues.
She glowered at the idea of her parents finding her. They wanted her to be a good little social slave so they could lap up all the little brownie points in life… Something she hated. Neo was not a slave, she was not a coward, and she was not a tool of people who only saw her as trash to be used and discarded.
If she saw the worthless ingrates who dared act like they were related to her? She'd place Hush in their side and then…
Ollie's calming hand clasped hers and she blinked as he looked at her, there was a gentleness in his motions even if his sight was gone. Trivia blinked as he lowered her hand to her side and hummed.
"I got you, k? You got my back and I got yours… I ain't going to let the group of criminals with giant guns take you away… Even if I end up getting shot. Isn't like I can lose a lot more than my looks." Ollie joked as she stared wide-eyed at him.
'He's a good one… Don't kill him. he's a very good one.' Neo stated mentally as Trivia hummed.
Her ideas, murderous or otherwise would need to wait for now. it wasn't going to be a problem than it needed to be. Perhaps her ideas weren't going to get her anywhere today, but it would be good to keep them in mind for another measure of peace. All it did was help in such critical matters and yet. It needed to be done eventually.
It was more worth smirking upon as she looked around, a look of interest on her face which was constantly in flux as if she didn't at all understand what she was supposed to be feeling… An odd emotion, but not one she'd be utterly remised of trying to learn from. It was not at all her intention to misconstrue her point. Life had given her a very odd outlook and one she had not at all find it nice.
She lowered herself near the ground as if trying to process it naturally. An emotion like this was… Something else and yet she could not at all decide how well it needed to be for it to go according to plan, plans were not her forte.
Ollie simply fell silent, curious as to the strategy to be used to fix it. They couldn't afford to go through the Crown, as skilled as he and Trivia were. There were dozens of soldiers and far too many to try and cause problems for them. It was simply increasingly problematic for now. It was worth more of any issue to need to focus upon, for now, an issue to be addressed.
"I think I might have an idea for how we're going to get what we want," Ollie said as she turned and looked at him, blinking as to how it'd be. "And NO, we are not just going to fight them all over and over again. The plan WILL cause a lot of chaos and possibly bring the Grimm. All it needs is bullhead, the dust, and time to get off the ground." Ollie stated as he sighed.
Ollie was aware Trivia wanted blood and was going to allow her to fight. The crown was no friend of his nor did their operations amuse him. if it were up to him? The crown would be a distant memory on the wall Ollie was all too curious as to what to do next and what it meant to try and fix it all. Trivia could not be allowed to run free with so much murder and violence, it wouldn't stand at the end of the day.
Ollie yawned and leaned on Phantom, using the sword like a cane. If the Crown was a problem? They removed them, simple calculus which he was capable of fixing. Trivia leaned on him slightly as the two walked into the camp, all too curious as to his plan which was easily solved with enough problems.
"We're going to need bullhead. I'm going to need you to find one and then we're getting out of here, there are enough problems here as is." Ollie stated as shook his head before yawning to himself.
She looked at him and nodded before slowly starting to sneak away. It was clear there was a goal and a plan to try and get it and yet Ollie did not at all seem to want to show it which made it somewhat harder but not to a degree she was not capable of managing.
Ollie smirked to himself and tilted his head before yawning to himself as he looked upwards and then yawned as he looked upwards. Trivia seemed to be curious and looked around, slowly making her way toward the rest of the camp before sighing as of now.
Perhaps there was an element of amusement in it all, something that could be fixed with enough surprise that needed to be addressed for now. All of it seemed to be enough to practice, focusing entirely on the goal that needed to be added later or not at all.
Trivia found herself to be increasingly amused at the moment, eager to be useful. She glanced at Ollie who seemed to be pretending more and more to be one of the Crown soldiers who were all too busy dealing with cargo. It was clear to her at least that needed to be handled better at the end of the day.
Still? Ollie had a plan, and she had a role in it. She'd handle it and pull her weight; she'd not simply allow it and simply wouldn't let it end the way it would.
"Triv?" Ollie asked before walking towards her.
"Not now, we need to blend in… You, ok?" Ollie signed to her as she nodded to herself. "Sorry, I'm still pretty crap at this, you put your gloves back on so I can't…" Ollie signed to which Neo nodded.
She tore off her noble gloves and looked at them. A symbol she was part of the Vanille family, a symbol she was to be one of them, and a stank upon her person she'd gladly remove given the time and effort to see it burned away.
Trivia tore it away and ripped them apart. If and when she managed to find better? She would gladly replace them with better ones… And they kept her from talking to her friend, a piece of garbage was all they'd be to her, and all she cared to see them as for now, it would do no better for now to see it.
"I'm ok, I'll be ok… Are you ok?" Trivia signed back, interested if her ally was ok.
"I will be when we're out… Too many guys for you to cut down, trust me, the Crown are scumbags but they're very good at killing people, and their cheat. You are a badass, but they have guns and bombs and stuff we don't. if you get the Bullhead? Don't risk your life if it's not worth it." Ollie signed back as Trivia nodded.
She smiled and wrapped her arms around him in a hug. It felt… Warm and inviting despite how awkward it was, Trivia felt him return it and looked at him.
"Partners don't let partners die for stupid reasons… Me being in danger doesn't mean choosing me. I want you to be ok if you're going to come running in." Ollie signed before looking in that direction. "Why don't we both go? I want to understand the Crown more, see if there's a way to smash them to pieces so we can run when it all goes to hell." Ollie asked, questioning what to do next.
"You sure? I can handle it." Neo signed as Ollie nodded.
"Yeah, we're a team. Teams need to work together. I can't just be doing nothing while you're busy with all the work, Triv." Ollie said before nodding as she led him towards the bullheads, all too eager to do and see.
Trivia knew Ollie relied on her and she was not eager to let him down at any point, not when he trusted her and was willing to help. Trivia looked at him before she tilted her head, questionable to say more and more problems for now, interested in what may or may not come to pass upon now.
Trivia trusted him, she wanted to, it was part of her life and it was to be glorious, nobody would chain her down again and nobody would take Ollie or any allies in life, it'd not at all be fun or worth it… But Trivia wouldn't let them be taken, not easily, not without a fight from her.
Her parents had already taken too much away… No more, not at all, interested only in what to need to do next, she was a slave to them and would only be considered a slave to the Vanille. Not again, not EVER again, all of them would suffer if ever tried again.
She clutched Ollie's hand, desperately as if it'd fall off or she'd be lost without it. Ollie glanced at her, curious for now, all so curious as if not knowing what scars were upon her, scars eyes alone would not see and only words alone could not heal.
Ollie could understand her, only he seemed to wit eyes damaged by something not even Trivia understood… Still? it was clear Ollie wanted to protect her, she didn't at all understand nor want to… If at all? It'd need to be grasped properly and with intent…
"Triv… Are you good? You're holding my hand tight." Ollie stated before frowning. "Bad memory, yea? You, ok? You going to need a minute. I'll gladly give you one." Ollie stated before frowning.
It was clear Ollie wanted what was best for her. It was written all over his face and yet? Well, Trivia would not allow any undue harm to befall Ollie, that was a vow in her mind, a kindness repaid for the kindness given to one such as her… Yet? it could not be overstated simply how odd and crass it'd become to see it end like this.
Trivia clenched his hand, leaning on him for support, it was clear more and more measures were to be placed in front of her to end it all. Trivia saw more tests coming and going in rapid and more rapid succession, it almost seemed unfathomable for now… Yet? Trivia could taste in the air, and an eagerness to try and get it somewhere else. It'd need to properly end…
If anything? It gave Trivia anticipation as to the next move, an interest not yet doling out. Trivia only imagined to try and find it sometime soon. It needed to end, sometime soon.
"Are you going to see it end sometime soon? Are you going to be fine for now? I need you to be ready if push comes to shove… It will end sometime soon, it will always end sometime soon, nothing to be terrified of… Because I'm going to keep going, and I hope you do, to be honest, it won't be the same." Ollie stated before frowning, only realizing more and more as of now, curious only as of now.
More and more did it end sometime soon, it'd need to end before now, questioned for now and yet it appeared to be ending sometime soon.
"Ok, the first thing isn't finding a way out… it making sure they even have it for now and get going for now," Ollie stated before smirking to the side before now.
It was going to be ended, for now, it was a lot more problematic for now. Ollie could understand the damage done to the crown and yet they continued onwards, for now.
Still? Ollie wasn't stupid, a good plan needed a good extraction route but they also needed to find out if they even owned the cargo they needed. Ollie wasn't going to let Trivia get into a fight they may or may not need to grasp at now.
"Ok… Where are their equipment and storage facilities?" Ollie asked before raising an eyebrow. "I think it will be under a lot of guards… But you're going to be able to help me cut down the guards around it, right?" Ollie asked as Trivia smirked.
It was only worthy of amusement for now. All of it would need to end sometime soon, Trivia was a powerful woman but she was still only a single person against an entire army of soldiers. Numbers would prevail again skill and talent any day and it was all to be glorious for now, all to end with them escaping from the enemy.
Still? More and more would it end sometime soon, more and more would it need to be created; Ollie was aware if they didn't get it. His 'friends' would simply turn on him, such as the price of working with self-serving criminals for now. Ollie would need to find more people, for now, it'd only end if it was waiting for now.
Trivia was a very good all, for now, it seemed to be worth it, for now, to try and gain an alley, and perhaps he could try and find another here, someone, or sometime soon. It was all someone could say to try and make an effort…
Ollie wanted to make an effort and would need to make an effort. Ollie only hope Trivia was capable of seeing it as a partner and not as him wanting to replace her.
"Hmm?" Ollie muttered as he felt an arm grasping his side, only looking to the side before looking around.
It was a lot more interesting, fascinating for now… Ollie wouldn't exactly call the Crown tacticians but if they managed to reach Mistral with very few problems? Well, it was clear more and more it needed to happen for now.
Ollie would not at all be amused for now, interested only in what needed to come or could come, it was worth it to try and end sometime soon. Ollie wasn't stupid either… If the Crown wanted war? They'd be given one and one not even vapid empty monsters as they would need to get upon such an issue.
It'd get worse and worse for now; all problems would get worse and worse for the time being.
All of it seemed to be more and more amusing for now. it could only get more and more amusing for now. He seemed to be more and more amused for now and it was almost too much for now, too much to try and get over and dusted… All of it was a nice distraction.
"Oy, I'm tired. We need a distraction for now and the more and more we get done. The more we can relax doing for now." Trivia heard as Ollie sighed and leaned on his sword before smirking.
Ollie looked to the side and questioned what else could be said and done. Ollie focused on the soldiers around them, he could hear dozens of clacks of assault weapons, maybe the click of some knives. It could easily be handled but a Bullhead wouldn't easily deal with a few dozen bullets into the fuselage.
Still? Ollie would continue to dwell on how to load up an entire payload onto a bullhead. All problems could be addressed with maybe more backup. Ollie yawned to himself, tired as he leaned on Phantom, his weapon supporting his weight.
"Hey, Triv? You can see something big and dangerous that would scare them away. We can use that as a distraction… I just don't know what it is… Got to be a robot or something." Ollie said before he cracked his fingers and rested his weapon upon his shoulder.
"There's a giant robot there way," Neo stated as Ollie raised an eyebrow and looked upwards into the sky, trying to pretend he could see for now.
Ollie seemed to question more and more bored as he slowly started to walk around the camp. The clack of rifles and distant howls of Grimm told him something was going on, something big and important…. Yet? He could not afford to get distracted, not even close.
Trivia clung to his arm like a scared child which she was despite the fact Ollie could tell she could probably toss around grown men like they were toys. She could handle herself against thugs but if someone skilled came in like he knew the Spiders were? Nobody would be walking out of here ok; it'd be more and more treacherous for now if they didn't go forward more and more now.
Ollie yawned and leaned on Phantom before gently tugging her arm towards another part of the camp. The façade would crack sooner or later, he had to be ready for the curve when it cracked down upon them.
"Maybe, I'll look for something… Sorry, search. Your eyes don't hurt, no?" Trivia asked before she got a smile.
"Triv? I'm blind, not a pathetic loser… You can't talk and you're fine, right? But yeah, I'm good…. We need to get going and find something we can use to make a big problem for now." Ollie said before tapping his weapon on the floor. "The more chaos? The more Grimm and the more Grimm means we get more time to try and get out of here with what we need and go somewhere else where we aren't shot at all the time." Ollie said before frowning.
It was clear she was nice and only he seemed to realize that she was far more scared than she seemed. It was clear that part of her was just lashing out in anger and fear rather than any real hatred.
Still? Ollie didn't want her to go on a killing spree. If she went through the Crown?
The Spiders would easily find her and probably press-gang her into their ranks like they did the best of the best around here. It was obvious more and more if he didn't stop it. Well, it'd all become a bigger flaw than even Ollie believed he could handle.
Trivia still clung to his arm, fearful if she didn't stop holding it that he'd fall all to pieces in seconds for now. Ollie gently gripped her arm and went to remove it only for her right hand to grip his so tightly that her nails almost pierced his skin. She intertwined their fingers as deeply as possible, refusing to let the comfort and warmth fade for even a second.
"Triv… It's ok, I can go look for it if you don't want to… Or are you scared I might run off and abandon you? Do you think I'm that much of a jackass to toss my friend away? How many damn times do I need to tell you? I ain't going damn where…. I think we need a real big talk. Like a REAL big one so you can get your head cleared and we can do this like a team." Ollie said before gently dragging her along.
Ollie didn't once feel her fight or even slightly fight it. The boy was many things but he was not stupid, he knew this… She was fighting, eager for anyone to be there for her, not to treat her like a damn toy they could parade around for the sake of saying they had a child.
Her parents treated her badly. Either that or something so screwed the hell up hurt Trivia that she was desperate to latch onto the smallest SCRAP of real affection tossed at her. It was a very terrifying thought, one that could easily be said and done in a second.
Whoever did this? If he wasn't busy, he'd have driven a knife into their side and kicked them down the nearest suitcase. It only served to anger him but he had to temper it and temper it well. Trivia didn't deserve any of this hatred he wished to direct at whoever had tormented her, it'd be stupid to do so for now and something she didn't at all deserve for now. it had to be fixed and it could be fixed for now.
Oliver simply got to be able to relax at the of the day. They had a lot more to do on today's day before he was able to relax when it came down to it. Oliver was tired at the moment and all of this was reminding him simply of the fact he was thrown off from so many different circumstances… He couldn't allow himself to slip down to their level but he could also allow himself to get relax.
He didn't at all know what to question and it was a small measure of amusement. These idiots would get to relax at the end of the day.
Neo was smirking at the end of the day, she didn't at all want to stop. She wanted to bleed the Kings, cut them apart slowly and painfully. They had a lot more to do and see and yet it would be soon before she hurt a lot of people here… A LOT of kings would die and die painfully.
She looked at Ollie like a monster that wanted meat, food… Something to sink its teeth into at the end of the day. She wanted food and yet it became fun more and more to see where it went next. She was eager to get something thrown into her tank, eager to kill and claim what could be controlled and brought down… She'd be fed properly or not at all; she'd drown anyone who dared tried to stop her from getting anywhere anytime soon.
She looked at Ollie as if he was a piece of meat, eager to cut him open and see it worse and worse… There were a lot more problems besides her, however. Something cutting and growing within her, eager to cut and grow towards her… Towards him, easily angered at the end of the day.
Oliver trusted Trivia but not her, wasn't like she could blame him, he didn't even know her. Not even Trivia did and it was understandable given the fact she was a voice within the back of Trivia's head telling her whom to kill and whom to take down, it was sobering and something that Neo regretted considering it hurt her over and over again.
Yes, they had a lot more to try and understand, something that could only get understood at the end of the day and it was instantly so satisfying to try and see it to the end of the end. The kings were all going to die and suffer even if she had to bring them all crashing down with her blade. She had to thank whoever had helped give Ollie the idea to help her with her blade beside herself at the time being, they had to fall and they would fall and it would become glorious for her to see and yet do at the end of the day. She couldn't even slightly condone it at the moment… There would be a giant gnashing of teething at the end of the day and a very horrid experience that could only grow with each passing second, something that needed to be adjusted and could be expertly done.
This was a lot more to try and get to relax, something that needed to be adjusted, for now, something that needed to be fixated upon.
"Triv? Maybe we can go talk for real. It will help me get time for the plan as well." Ollie said before he turned to her, utterly amused. "Would you like to talk somewhere where a lot of unconscious King soldiers will be?" Ollie asked before Trivia began signing again.
"Dead, we should kill them, or their rat us out," Neo said before Ollie blinked.
"No, if we kill them? They will wonder what happened to their manpower. The more we kill? They will be more suspicious than they are going to be before." Ollie said before rolling his eyes. "Besides, we're taking the crown down, just not now. I have an idea that will take care of the entire group but it's going to need some time, Trivia and the last thing we need is more of them to find out." Ollie said before he crossed his other arm across his chest.
It was just more and more to adjust his plan. He didn't notice Trivia smack herself in the face as the girl growled, eager to try and confront the darkness within her. It was such that it'd get better and better if she was in full control of herself and it continued to boggle her mind.
"I want to go now… Please, we go now? we need to talk." Trivia signed as Ollie hummed.
He nodded and they passed into a thicket of trees, utterly and entirely happy as they did so. She led him towards a fallen tree, one fell by a Deathstalker or something similar to it. She didn't see any King soldiers, probably because either the Grimm had made quick work of them or they had been trying to avoid it in case the beast came back and she was not at all someone who would have cared.
She tugged him yet Ollie pivoted and sat behind the tree, tugging her with him as the two collapsed to the ground behind the tree.
He was interested more and more in something in his mind and it continued to vex him the more it was unresolved in his mind.
"We can't just walk through the camp killing every Kings member we find. I don't like these guys any more than you might but if we go around stabbing and shooting? One? We're going to run out of ammo and aura VERY quickly." Ollie said before he sighed.
Trivia hummed as she started to sign again, motioning around so she could sit in front of him and tracing her fingers around the curvature of his hands.
She trusted him, she trusted him more than she should have been able to relax upon sort of peace in his head been and was going to be. It was just more and more to deal with.
"Are you going to be, ok?" Ollie asked before he hummed as she slowly started to continue signing.
"No, I'm scared, really scared." Trivia signed before Ollie blinked.
"Why? What are you scared of? Did the Kings rattle you? They're going to be taken down one person at a time. I told you that we're going to take them down slowly." Ollie stated before he hummed and tilted his head down at the ground.
"Because I'm scared of what I'll do to them if they hurt you." Trivia stated before she sighed and slowly started to blink before looking upwards and down at the ground.
"I'm not that important, Triv. I've been your friend for a few days. Why would you be bothered if something bad happened to you?" Ollie questioned before he hummed and tapped his fingers on his lips.
"Because you are my friend. I don't want you hurt." Trivia signed before she looked to the side.
"Triv? I don't want you hurt either but I'm not going anywhere. I don't feel like going anywhere." Ollie signed back, tracing his fingers around her tiny hands gently. "I don't want you to try and think I'm abandoning you anytime soon. If you are
scared? Then tell me, I'm not going to let them hurt you… But I don't want you crying over me getting hurt, I'm not a big deal." Ollie signed back before she almost slapped him as he leaned backward.
"Don't say that… I need someone who doesn't hate me. You don't treat me like trash, I need you before I go insane." Trivia signed as he hummed.
"Are you scared I'm going to get hurt or something else? You know you are scaring me if you're this worried." Ollie stated before he sighed.
"I'm worried I'll hurt you. I can be very dangerous when I'm mad." Trivia stated before he looked to the side and slowly started to hum as he blinked.
"You're not going to hurt me and I'm not going to hurt you, you know that more than anything that's going to happen next at the end of the day when it comes down to it," Ollie stated before he looked down at the ground before he slowly started to lean against the fallen timber behind him.
"I don't know what happens if they hurt you, I'll lose myself, and then your get hurt BADLY." Trivia signed as Ollie hummed.
"Then I'll try not to get hurt," Ollie stated before he got to relax at the end of the day. "There's a lot more things we have to worry about than me. First, we need to make sure they have the thing we're going to steal…" Ollie said before he slowly started to hum and climb to his feet.
"I'll find it. what about you? you find the Grimm, then we rile them up." Trivia stated before she slowly started to sit upwards.
"Good… And then you take care of transport at the end of the day." Ollie stated before he clicked his tongue against the roof of his mouth.
She squeezed her hand, all too prepared for now, unsure of the problems with the moment, and would NOT bow anytime soon. No, she'd make sure that whatever came next? She'd gut it, cut every little thing to ribbons slowly and painfully, breaking it into dozens.
He seemed utterly unsure of what her role in it was. They had a lot more to focus do next, he had a lot more to deal with. They had a lot more on his mind as he crossed his arms, unsure of what to deal with next.
"Triv? Remember what I said, we can go fight them AFTER we find what we want, ok? Not before, they're way too easy for you to fight, aren't they? You'd cut through them all like butter. Doesn't seem as far as you think, does it?" Neo heard as she shrugged.
"There's a lot on your mind, they don't bug you as much as they do what happens if I get killed, do they?" Trivia heard as she nodded. "Good, then I'll try not to get killed… But it does bug me." Ollie said before he rubbed a hand over his temples.
They had a lot more to figure out and something else corrupted and took over his mind, whatever the Crown wanted? It was neither good nor an option, nor could he allow them to have it. He was all too prepared for the best, something that needed to deal with before now.
He had a lot more to figure out at the moment and he knew more and more of what to try and do next, something else, thrown off at the time being. He didn't at all know what to try and deal with more and more.
She squeezed his hand, reminding her that she was his and he hers as she ran her small tender fingers over his calloused ones in a small little second of amusement as she seemed to be able to find comfort. She hugged him, wrapping her hands around his chest to relax, one which was not all too understandable.
She was all too unsure of what to do next before she looked at Ollie, putting her fingers in his mouth and pulling a smile from his lips as he understood what to do next. She was all too amused as the two warriors seemed to be utterly unsure.
She crossed her arms as she did so, watching as he drew a smile across her face, making her roll her eyes.
"Don't, we're partners, remember? Family? They have nothing like family, ok? The problem is they are going to throw away a lot of soldiers to try and stop us which means killing or hurting a lot of them, ok? You know that, right? We're not going to give up, not anytime soon, not when we can keep fighting." Ollie said before he sighed and looked around.
She squeezed his hands tighter and together as if letting go meant she'd lose him. She pitied him over and over, too unsure and uncertain of what it all meant and what to deal with next, he had a lot more understanding than she did…
She knew more and more that he was trying to help more and more that such measures would only grow harder and harder and harder for her to fathom at the end of the day, utterly adrift in an ocean of emotion. He had a lot more to try and figure out at the time.
She knew more than he that he wanted to protect her, she could feel his comforting hold upon her hand as if they had been close friends for years. It told her all she needed to try and understand, she knew more and more that she wanted to protect him and she was in no real way going to back down from trying. Not even if it killed her.
She wouldn't allow it to end anytime soon, not when she could relax. All such measures would pale at the end of the day and she'd be relaxed.
"Hey, stop slacking… Wait, are you guys new or… Damn it, someone could be working for the Crown!" He heard as he sighed and shook his head.
"Ok, change of plans. There are a few more people who are going down… Triv? No going crazy and killing happy, just them and then we come up with a better plan." Ollie said before he rubbed at his temples, utterly annoyed.
"Kill just them?" Trivia signed as Ollie nodded.
"Yes, just them, nobody else. Anyone else is going down? I'm not letting them hurt anyone anytime soon. We aren't hurting anyone else, not yet." Ollie signed yet before he clicked his fingers and seemed to try and understand this.
He tapped Phantom on the ground with his other hand, trying his best not to say anything, to only focus on what to do next. He had a lot more to focus on next and all of this was trying his patience more and more.
If they wanted to be brought down so badly? Well? He'd make sure he brought them all down properly, all before they could make a single move.
He turned to Trivia who was silent as always but already had Hush drawn. The dozen or so soldiers of the Crown were pitiful compared to her might and he'd even feel more pitiful might upon his mind.
He didn't at all know what to say next nor did he wish to focus on anything. He had to take them all down before they hurt anyone, it was the only thing he could say or do.
Yes, if they wanted to die so badly. Well, he'd grand that wish with interest a thousand ways over at the moment if allowed.
He yawned, too prepared for a fight to even try and figure it out. Not that it singly bothered him, not yet at least.
"Triv? Quick and quiet, ok? Nothing more than that?" Ollie said before he looked to the side.
"K," Triv said, flicking out Hush's blade from the inside of her umbrella. "Should I kill the others later?" Trivia signed as she looked down at the ground.
"Not yet." Ollie signed back as he looked to the ground. "We need to keep going and the longer we're here? More bad guys to take down, it's not going to be that easy." Ollie said before he cracked his fingers.
There was something else to figure out, something that he knew well enough to try and understand. What little he could say… Did he even at the moment?
Well, if he had to kill them all? He'd do so, it was better than just waiting for death and they wouldn't take him, prisoner, either way. They wanted blood and it would get harder and harder to figure out a way to avoid it.
One of them went to strike only for an axe kick from Trivia to hit them in the chin, sending them sprawling to the ground, eagerly reminding them how feisty she was. She hooked a leg around them before tossing them to the ground as well and stabbed both. Ollie only rolled his eyes and spun Phantom, eager to use it to strike them.
The first of them came with a sword which he easily deflected with Phantom's hilt before turning and clubbing the man in the ribs, knocking him down an inch and allowing him to club him in the stomach as well. The idea of it was a lot more ridiculous than it could be and if they wanted blood so quickly? Well, he'd give them what they wanted dead he'd prepare for it better.
"Damn spider…." One of them seemed to say before a kick from Trivia sent them to the ground with a thud.
The tide slowly seemed to be shifting. They were expecting cowards, untrained scum that could not and would not at all become easier and easier to deal with, something that he almost blinked at if nothing else.
He turned and blocked another blade inches from his face, reminding him the Crown was still dangerous to him even if he was capable of throwing them around like trash, easily throwing them around like it was nothing. He simply didn't manage to relax now thinking about it.
There was nothing on the other end of Phantom as he twirled and was clubbed by a boot in the back. He was staggered which allowed another Crown member to punch him.
He felt his aura sparking green as he went, making him sigh ad he was all too easily reminded of the fact they could and would cut through him like trash.
"Damn it… Guess I'm going to have to start playing nice." Ollie said, wiping spittle and blood off his lip as his aura stabilized and allowed him to strike back, throwing them back with a strike to their hip as he did so.
It was a lot harder to deal with than before and he didn't even know what to do. He listened as he fought, hearing Trivia dispatching a soldier by stabbing Hush through their chest.
He hummed as she removed the umbrella's blade before turning and opening the canopy to block a barrage of bullets from another's assault rifle.
He could hear bullets easily pinging off the fabric courtesy of her aura and the metals within that allowed her to hum and look back at the man with interest.
Ollie sighed, knowing more and more that if he wanted to keep fighting? He'd be doing so knowing that he was going against the others to do so, something that he doubted they'd be winning that easily.
He brought up Phantom and was met with a satisfying clang of the weapon against the metal of another sword to which Ollie could smirk before sending them skidding backward with a backhand.
Trivia danced around another, feeling a kick to her back which made her aura spark pink as she growled and stabbed Hush's blade in-between her armpit and was rewarded with a simple fall to the ground before they expired.
She didn't at all know what to try and look over at Ollie who had been utterly silent as he fought, ducking around the swords of 2 of the 8 soldiers left as she knew more and more that whoever had made them want to fight was waning. It was dying as quickly as it came and they knew it, the fight was leaving them more and more easily as now.
Ollie's aura crackled again as a bullet to the back made it come closer to cracking. Ollie turned and then kicked one of the two he was fighting with just as the man fired. She watched as the wounded man fell to the ground wounded.
"Guys? I do hate to sell myself short. But she's about twice the fighter most of you guys and we've already taken out about 5 of your group from what I've noticed, really doesn't seem to be that nice on your end… Make you a deal? You guys' kind screw off and leave and forget you saw us." Ollie said as they snorted.
He smirked at the two unintentional jokes he had made at their expense. It was clear because of their combined skill Ollie wasn't taking the fight as seriously, not entirely on purpose but partly because really nobody could and would know he was joking.
He had a lot more on his mind and it was clear he would continue fighting as he always did. There was a lot more upon the brain, something that wasn't easily dealt with.
What did they deal with? It came as a result of dealing with the aftermath as well and none of them wanted that, mainly because it was far more than a fight, they were capable of dealing with.
Something he knew and knew very well at the moment as he thought of every single move that was made and every single action at the moment as he didn't as he seemed to be able to relax once more, she didn't at all know what to do think as of now.
There was a lot more to try and figure out like how many bad guys were going down, and how much to keep fighting on every single little level possible.
It was clear to her that more and more they could only dream about dealing with it more than possible. He wanted to be able to relax and was unable to do so as it meant throwing away what he had.
The remaining soldiers probably seemed to at least realize that they weren't purely winning the fight and it was slowly starting to back away, somewhat in horror at the moment. It was something that could and would continue in fear of them.
"Hey, did the boss say we couldn't use our secret weapon on them or…?" One of the goons asked only to be cuffed in the back of the head.
"Thanks, jackass, now they know… Just shoot them and feed them to the Grimm, there's no need to let them live, they aren't supposed to be here anyway. They weren't supposed to know what's going on." Another of the group said before Trivia rolled her eyes.
She gripped Ollie's arm and activated her semblance, her clothes vanishing into her former attire as she knew more and more it was funnier and safe to use it anyway.
Ollie simply rolled his eyes, all too thrown off by it all as he yawned, too exhausted by it all to say or do something as she pulled him into the deeper recesses of the forest. It was something that couldn't be easily done with.
She giggled, an impish idea filling her mind as the girl vanished with her friend, reminding them that it was just easy to run.
He didn't want to, but a tactical retreat was probably far better than he was used to at the moment. He didn't at all know for the rest of the Crown intended anyway and it wasn't like he was used to the idea of it all, something that boggled his brain all the same.
There was a lot more on his mind anyway as he did so, knowing what was coming, unsure and unable to relax as his brain was filled with so many thoughts, ones cutting his brain to pieces in sheer annoyance. It felt odder and odder to the boy but he didn't relax at the moment, eager to try and understand how best to bring down the entire group and unsure if he was able to do so.
He didn't know but he wanted to as Trivia pulled him behind a tree, the sound of shattering glass making him all too unsure and uncertain of what to do next at the time being as he could only lament what was next.
He didn't envy himself, not even a little relaxed for now before he questioned himself, and herself as well, simply because they were going into the maelstrom together and it was sink or swim, all of it when it came down to it.
There was a lot more to try and figure out now. They had a lot more on the brain to try and figure out and all of it cut through him like a knife… Like a giant maddening crane.
All of it made him sigh as she gripped his hands together, he couldn't ignore her, it'd be crueler than anything else. There were several desires to be superior to what he was, and keep growing and growing as he knew more and more, he couldn't allow himself to fall downwards and yet he was a lot more to try and figure out.
There was a lot more to try and do before the plan was done. They had a lot more upon their minds and he was all too unsure and uncertain.
"Relax… I'm not going anywhere for now. We're going to get the Grimm to attack them and run off with the supplies when they do so… You think you can find a way to rile them up?" Ollie asked to which she nodded. "Good, I'm going to cause something to blow up, and then we're going to run off with the stuff, ok?" Trivia heard as she drew a smile on it.
There was a lot more upon which to try and figure it out, for now, something that could and would and seemed to be dealing with.
This was a nightmarish thing even he didn't know for now as she clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth. She looked at him before she drew another smile as she tilted her head.
He gently pushed her away and smiled, putting a finger to his lips as he did so. She rolled her eyes at him but she knew more and more that he was trying to help her and himself.
If they could be done and dusted? She'd carried it out before now and she enjoyed it, every second of destroying her enemies and whatever else got in her way.
If they wanted death? She'd destroy them all, every single one, and dance upon their graves. They got in the way of her games and her ability to relax and find herself once more.
All of it gave her a lot more pain to deal with when push came to shove. She slowly started forwards, dead set on destroying them in her manner. Ollie sighed and marched away, grabbing his weapon and preparing for more and more fighting, it was something else upon the mind.
All of it hurt to deal with, really, he did. This became more and more unsure and uncertain of it all… He didn't want to bug anyone for now, not a problem for someone with all the power that they did and would continue to have sometime soon when it comes.
