Summary/Disclaimer: Time for another chapter of A Lingering Ember. Enjoy the 2700-word chapter. I do not own RWBY, Monty Oum, and Rooster Teeth do.

(Mistral.)

Trivia yawned, tired as she realized that she was alone… No, semi alone. Something about it all almost could have prepared them for it… Not any of them now, an idea which had to be properly rehearsed.

Granted… One could be forgiven for thinking it might get better as she yawned and then looked for her coat.

Trivia hummed and then looked towards Ollie, hearing him at the lip of the bullhead, the hatch to get inside open as he hummed and then looked over at her.

Trivia hummed and then thought of it, traipsing towards her, her bare feet making clicks on the metal which alerted him that she was awake.

"Are you ok?" Ollie asked before she tilted her head. "I can guess you are… The Crown did not show up like I expected." Ollie stated before he looked to the side and then thought of it all as he relaxed.

He thought of himself as he looked to the ground. He had a lot more on his mind… Something about it all had been too interested in it.

He had a lot more to try and figure it out. He sighed and then thought of his next game before he cracked his fingers, something within him almost made him laugh.

Ollie was too thrown off at the time being. Ollie sighed to himself as Trivia propped down next to himself before he relaxed, pausing as he hummed and Trivia sighed.

Ollie hummed to himself as he clicked his cane on the ground, too fascinated at the time.

Trivia tapped on the ground with a foot, almost dancing to her other one like a child who had gotten a sugar rush. She looked over at him as he sighed and then thought of it all now.

"Are you ok?" Ollie asked before he looked to the side, tilting his head, and then sighed to himself.

Ollie hummed and then thought of himself before he closed his damaged eyes.

She and he were left in silence. Something about it all had amused them for now, an idea that they could have broken.

They would break, something within them had to deal with. It would have been too much for most people… Not to them both, not at all. An idea like this was more than they could have asked for now… It was something that both could and would laugh at.

He for all his amusement was simply tossed to the side… Something within him had been too interested in something beyond them both.

Trivia was an odd girl; he would not deny that… But it was how he had been that had defined him now and for good reason.

Now and forever would he rest… It was just part of being a skilled warrior that he would and could have rested with it all back and forth.

Something about it all had been harder and harder to consider now… Not that he did not have ways to figure it out… But he also did not have much in the way of relaxing.

Something about it all made Ollie hum. He looked over at Trivia, the blindfold he held over his damaged eyes was gone… And it was very clear to him that his sight was not at all something he focused on.

He hummed as she leaned on his side, something about it all almost made him chuckle… If not for the fact that he had been too distracted to care… He was relaxed, very relaxed.

And it made him very interested now… Something about it all made him curious… And very eager to fight.

"Hey… I have some food; not sure it is going to be enough to make much food… But it will be enough for a meal, I am going to need to get at the fire dust to make sure we have enough fuel for the fire." Ollie stated, sighing.

He did not at all know what was going on… But he did know that such logic was hard enough as it was to make happen… Such pain would be worth little… And all the chaos on his mind that this would be something.

Trivia tugged on his arm almost like a child as he looked to the side.

He had been too interested in it all before he looked to the side. He knew that she had been too tired at the end of it all before they had relaxed.

Trivia seemed to be thinking of it all before they looked downwards at the ground, something at the time being which had to be relaxed.

Trivia thought of it all before they had to be done to try and figure it out. Trivia hummed and tapped on his arm before they looked to the side.

Something about it all had been harder and harder at the time. They had something else before he looked to the side… Trivia was all too interested in something that had been too tiresome at the end of the day.

Trivia relaxed for herself before now, something that they could have been too tired now… A chaos that had been too disturbed, it had been too odd.

She and he were soldiers, they were survivors when it all ended back and forth… All of it had been harder and harder to think of now and for good at the time being.

If nothing else had been done at the time…. Something within it all had been harder and harder to confirm… Now and at the time would it be well within the way that it had been decided?

Something within them had broken into pieces… Now and for a good reason. He had no idea at the time being… They had a lot more to try and figure it out now…

Neo was curious, both were curious at the time being. She looked at him before both seemed to think of it all as a small little desire to fix it.

Something about it all had driven Ollie up a wall… Despite himself? He was tired… Very tired… Now? He had to fix it.

"I'd ask if you wanted coffee but that is not something that we have on hand," Ollie stated before he sighed to himself.

He had been too thrown off, very much had been done to fix it… Something about it all had been more than enough for now.

He had zero idea at the time being… They had something else to deal with… Trivia was all too unsure of it all before now. It had been too disturbed before now.

Ollie seemed to be dealing with more and more chaos at the time being. Trivia seemed to be smirking as she looked to the side, leaning on him as she looked toward the horizon.

Something within him made him smirk for now. Trivia was always going to be amusing him back and forth now.

It would be something he did not expect.

"Are you ok? Because we have a lot more work to deal with… A lot more work than this." Ollie stated before he sighed to himself.

Ollie was silent, he was very silent… He had been too thrown off at the time being… A lot more had been too much for them and all reason… Both had been torn apart, Ollie did not expect Trivia to say much and it would have helped for now.

They have been able to deal with it for now. He would deal with it all for the moment… They had a lot more now to convey… All of it? All the issues from the bottom of his fingers to the tips of his feet.

He had been too interested now at the end of it as he clicked his fingers and then thought of them both before now… It had been an amusing little thing for the time being.

Then again? They had been too amused at the time being… Something they had to deal with now before long.

It had a lot more left to deal with at the end of it all. They were going to be dealing with it for a long time anyway.

"You should know now? What more do we have to deal with? The better." Trivia heard as she hummed, nodding for a moment.

"We must do better than this or else we all die… The problem? There is a lot more to deal with and it will not be easy to deal with for now… It had been MUCH harder to deal with for now."

That much was obvious now and for good. They would die and die painfully now.

She and he both had to relax… Something about it all had been too interesting as he looked to the side… They had to try and figure it out.

Trivia hummed, leaning on her friend, and setting herself in his lap as Ollie sighed. He felt like one of those TV hosts who sat on a throne or such.

Trivia seemed to be dealt with for now, plopping herself there as Ollie hummed, tapping her on the side… She looked towards as did Ollie who removed the things covering his damaged eyes.

"Are you ok?" Trivia signed, too interested as they relaxed, the sun beginning to rise.

"Tired." Trivia heard. "Why? Are you tired? We have a lot more things to deal with… We are going to have to pack up." Trivia heard as he signed.

Ollie could tell that she was different, her skin was blemished, slightly calloused but she was ok at the time being. He traced his fingers over her hands, gripping her hands and holding them before he put his head atop her skull.

Trivia hummed and then looked towards the ground… They had to do better for now… Something about it all had amused Trivia and she knew they had been able to relax.

Trivia hummed to look to the side and both were able to relax. Ollie hummed to think of what was growing at the time being, Ollie sighed, yawning as he looked to the side… She had something else.

Ollie hummed as he relaxed being too interested at the time. This girl had been too interesting for him now and it was a lot more as he had been tired… She kept him guessing and he liked that, it was like trying to tame fire. He had been amused by her antics and part of him wanted more.

He knew that she was going to push him faster… It had been something harder and harder at the time being… They had a lot more to try and deal with their ideas as they relaxed.

She had been too bored at the time being… She and he had to look into themselves at the time.

Ollie and her both shared a moment before they looked to the side, something about it all had been harder.

"We have to deal with more work when it comes down," Ollie stated before he sighed to himself.

"Are you ok?" Ollie stated before he sighed to himself.

He had very little idea as to how it would have been like it for now… He would not be able to relax while this went on now or for good and he of all people was disturbed, very disturbed now… Such things were further and further from the truth.

He had a moment of relaxation for now… He had a lot more to deal with and all of it was just pushing him further up a pole like a tyrant.

He had been too tired of such tricks now and for a good reason… Something about that if nothing else? Both could be too disturbed.

Then again? He was beginning to believe that she rather liked disturbed as a feature. The rest of them were too easily beaten down… Both times he tried? Trivia had been Trivia and she had relaxed for now.

They had a lot more to try and deal with… Now? Now they had a lot more than before.

Trivia hummed and looked at him, poking him in the side as both thought of it all as a little game. Both were too distracted… Something within it all had to end.

"You have a lot more than before to deal with… I just want you to know something… We are not going to try and deal with the Crown easily." Ollie said as he hummed to himself.

Both looked at each other, well, he glanced her way before he looked toward the ground.

Something else would come down to it… She hummed as she poked at his face, smirking at the time being… They had more to do as she placed her fingers inside his mouth, tugging it in different directions… Both times they needed to relax.

"Ok… Point made, I am not going to tell you how to do something or what is best… You can kick enough ass for that already." Ollie stated before he looked downwards.

He and she both hummed, Trivia crossing her feet under her as she sighed and both were tired… Something about it all had been too.

They had a lot more to do… Both were able to try and figure it out as he knew that such ideas were all too much. The enemy had something resembling fear on their minds.

Both relaxed for now… It had a lot more helpful effect at the time.

He had a lot more to learn, to deal with… What came next would shatter everything and leave it all in pieces.

Then again? He rather enjoyed it all being like this. Both rather liked the fight, the cut and burning as they could finally admit they were a certain way. She smiled as she realized they could both cut loose in ways that only a monster would do.

Then again? Both were monsters. They were soldiers, something beyond words. They were warriors in a war that had quickly and honestly broken into pieces.

Both times they had peered into that abyss. It had become clear there was more to this than before, more than possibly brought up. They had more work to understand and Trivia could not wait as she kicked her feet back and forth like a small little doll.

It reminded them both there were the greatest heights to reach and something like this? it would help them climb up the ladder sooner or later.

They would need to fight as a team either way, they had no way around that. It had to be done lest it console them.

She did not even know if they had to relax. Each time? They had zero number of things which would be able to think…. It was odd but it was going to end one way or another.

He sighed… He knew more than they what would come… The crown? The crown would come for them…. They would continue to deal with it for now.

Something about it all made her very eager to fight and she? She wanted the chaos this would bring.

Both paused for a moment at the sound of aircraft engines and both almost instantly readied themselves for a fight where they had something else.

Both wanted a fight but for different reasons… A lot more of their minds raced with the idea of something coming…. Their next move was far more dangerous than this.

They wanted a fight anyway and it was clear a fight was something they might get away with…. Now? Now it was hard enough for them to do anything.

"I think we might be in for a bit of danger." Trivia heard as she nodded. "Ready to take these guys apart?" Trivia heard as both looked.
