A/N: Please see the author note at the end, IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT!
Sero led Jirou and Yaoyorozu back into the gym. The two teams were standing around awkwardly as Bakugou and Midoriya argued with one another at the center of the gym.
"Deku, you really want to lose this game?" Bakugou said.
"U-um, no, Kacchan, I don't," Midoriya said.
"Then act like it! You're staring off into space all game. Something on your mind you dweeb?" Bakugou said.
"No o-one in particular!" Midoriya responded.
"Wait, did you say no one? As in a person and not a thing?" Ashido said.
Ashido joined the two of them in the center of the court, making Midoriya gasp for air. She gave a wink towards Bakugou, who gave a disgusted look in response. Mineta and Uraraka, their two remaining teammates, also went over to them. Before Aizawa could intervene, someone else spoke up.
"Deku, please, we know something is going on," Uraraka said.
"It's none of your business, okay? Really, I'm fine, I just need some time to think about things, that's all," Midoriya said.
Jirou raised an eyebrow as she realized who exactly the "someone" he had to think about was. Ashido practically screamed as she sprinted over to Midoriya and put her hands on his shoulders.
"I knew it! I knew it! You can't stop thinking about them! You're in love with Ky- ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!"
Jirou made it to Ashido just in time to put an earphone jack into her ear, which allowed her to project her heartbeat at full blast. Ashido stumbled over and covered her ears, but was unable to free herself of the jack.
"J-Jirou, stop!" Ashido yelled.
"Stop trying to sabotage our team!" Mineta said, while throwing his purple balls all over the room towards Jirou and Ashido.
As Jirou, Mineta, and Ashido bickered, with Ashido finally freeing herself, Bakugou and Midoriya began using attacks on one another, although neither landed a hit. Uraraka tried to intervene, but Midoriya refused to stop. In his mind, it was Bakugou who had provoked him, and he was just defending himself.
All the chaos made Aizawa's eyes red - partially from his blood vessels, but mostly from the activation of his quirk, Erasure. Although he was unsure who he should use it on, he decided to use it on Bakugou first.
"All of you stop immediately or you will be EXPELLED. THIS IS NOT A DECEPTION," Aizawa yelled in a voice louder than the students had ever heard before.
Every student instantly stopped using their quirks and looked to their teacher. His fists were shaking and his hair was now raised, since his quirk was in use.
"Midoriya. Bakugou. Mineta. Ashido. Jirou. You're all going to my office. The rest of you, go to All Might's office so he can teach you the rest of the day. And if I hear of any more trouble, you will never set foot in UA again," Aizawa said.
The five culprits followed Aizawa out of the gym, while Ilda and Yaoyorozu led the group of remaining students to another exit. Aizawa's quirk was now deactivated, but he was still filled with anger.
Midoriya and Bakugou did not dare look at one another. Ashido dragged along. Mineta hoped Midnight was nearby. And Jirou was sick to her stomach, feeling far worse than the others. She knew why Midoriya was feeling the way it was, and because of what had happened the prior night, they were now all in this mess.
A/N: Apologies that this chapter is so short. The reality is that the world is crazy, my life has been busy and writing is hard. Unfortunately, the schedule for this story will be changing in the future.
The good news is that I have an outline for the story, and there is absolutely NO WAY that it will be cancelled or going on a hiatus. I enjoy When Our Passions Unite so much, so rest assured this story is continuing! What I can not guarantee, however, is that every chapter will be posted on a weekly basis anymore.
I would much rather spend extra time making chapters as good as can be rather than forcing myself to post every Wednesday. I posted this mini chapter of sorts since an update was already scheduled for today regardless. However, from here on out, chapters will not have a set schedule, but will be published when I have the chance.
Make sure you favorite or follow the story to get reminders for updates since the schedule is now spontaneous! Thank you for your support! In the meantime, it appears Aizawa has quite the situation to deal with... find out what happens next in Chapter 17!
