Chapter 29: Street Fighting

"Ha! This is more like my place!" Knuckles exclaimed. The group stood in front of a place named Suzaku Castle. There were flyers stating that this was a fighting dojo. "This is where you led us?" Fox questioned. "This doesn't have to do with some angst to fight, does it?" Mario asked. "Are you kidding? This is a dojo. There's fighters inside, therefore there's fighters who can help us," Knuckles said. "Yeah, this is about to be epic," Reyn said. "Incineroar!" Incineroar yelled. "If friends say this is fun, then Yoshi believes it," Yoshi said. Everyone sighed.

Knuckles punched the doors open. "Who will challenge the great Knuckles?!" Knuckles yelled. "Was that necessary?" Zelda asked. Link shook his head. There was nobody in the lobby, besides a small cricket who chirped. "This is ridiculous," Samus said. "Oi! Anyone here!" Reyn called out. In another room they had heard the sound of punches.

They entered the room and found a man wearing green boxing gloves and green boxing shorts along with a black shirt. Besides him was another man. He wore a white jumpsuit and a red bandana along his forehead. "Hey, you know, you've really been helping me," the boxer said as he punched a punching bag, which weirdly had eyes. "Since Doc went on vacation, I didn't really have good training," he said. "Come on. Talk is cheap," said the other man. "Right. Right," the boxer said.

"Hey!" Knuckles yelled. They turned around as Knuckles punched his knuckles together. "Excuse our friend here," Mario said, "Are you the owner of this place?" "Why yes. I'm Ryu," he said. "Ha! You don't like that tough!" Knuckles exclaimed. "Incineroar!" Incineroar yelled. Ryu raised one of his eyebrows. "Don't mind them. You see…" Samus said.

They had explained that they come from other worlds and they are seeking fighters to help them fight a battle that could determine the fate of the universe. "That does seem troubling," Ryu said. "I'm Little Mac by the way," the boxer said. "Yoshi thinks it's nice to meet you," Yoshi said. "Well I'm still etching for a fight!" Knuckles yelled. "Knuckles," Mario said. Link shook his head.

Ryu got to thinking. "If you want a fight," Ryu said. Ryu pressed a button on the side of the wall. The floor began to shake and it rose up. "Whoa, what's going on?" Mario asked. Kirby looked around the wall. "Pika?" Pikachu questioned. The platform made it to the roof. "Here's the challenge. Two on Two. Show me your worth, and then I will consider fighting alongside you," Ryu said. Little Mac punched his gloves together. "Is this really necessary?" Mario asked. "Uh, yeah!" Knuckles yelled. "Incineroar!" Incineroar yelled as he posed.

From the sides of the platform, bleachers came up, allowing the others a place to sit. "I guess we're doing this," Zelda said. "You better not lose this, Knux!" Reyn exclaimed. "Ha! I never lose!" Knuckles said with a smile.

Knuckles and Incineroar were left on one side of the platform. Ryu and Little Mac on the other side. Knuckles punched his fist together and Incineroar spun around. Little Mac punched the air a couple of times while Ryu raised one of his legs and put it in front of the other and moved one of his arms forward and released his palm. "So, what are we waiting for? Or are you already going to forfeit?" Knuckles asked. "Hm," Ryu closed his eyes, "Talk is cheap."

Knuckles and Incineroar ran forward. Incineroar initiated Darkest Lariat and spun around. Little Mac crossed his arms and blocked the attack. Knuckles jumped into the air and dived down to Ryu. Ryu moved to the side, grabbed Knuckles by the arm and threw him back. "Incineroar!" Incineroar yelled as he grabbed Little Mac and threw him backwards by lifting him. "Hadouken!" Ryu yelled as he tossed a projectile. "AH!" Knuckles yelled as he punched through the Hadouken.

Incineroar initiated another Darkest Lariat, this time heading towards Ryu. "Tatsumaki!" Ryu yelled as he did a hurricane kick that collided with Incineroar's Darkest Lariat. Little Mac used his speed to get close and personal to Knuckles. He punched him quickly and hastily in the chest. "AH!" Knuckles yelped. Knuckles jumped back and spun into a drill punch which registered against Little Mac.

Ryu backhanded Incineroar. "Shoryuken!" he yelled as he uppercutted Incineroar.
"Roar!" Incineroar yelped. Incineroar initiated a Cross Chop and made Ryu jump out of his place. Incineroar then skidded along the platform and tried to do an Alolan Whip but Ryu threw another Hadouken. Incineroar immediately used Revenge and when the Hadouken hit him, it only powered him up. "Incineroar!" Incineroar yelled. "Impressive. Let's see if you can keep it up," Ryu said.

Little Mac uppercutted Knuckles up in the air. Knuckles immediately glided along the air. He then canceled the glide and punched Little Mac away with full force. Little Mac was launched away. "Ha! He's out!" Knuckles yelled. Ryu was dodging all of Incineroar's attacks. "Shin Shoryuken!" Ryu yelled as he uppercutted Incineroar and launched him towards Little Mac. "He's out too," Ryu said.

Only Knuckles and Ryu remained on the battlefield. "Hadouken!" Ryu yelled as he threw a projectile at Knuckles. "AH!" Knuckles yelled as he set his fists on fire with Ryu's Hadouken. Knuckles charged forward and tried to punch Ryu multiple times but Ryu kept stepping backwards multiple times. "Stand still!" Knuckles yelled. "Shoryuken!" Ryu yelled as he uppercut Knuckles. Knuckles landed on the other side of the battlefield. Knuckles executed his drill attack and it hit Ryu in the chest.

They kept trading blows but neither of them would go down. They kept panting as neither would go down. Besides the other three other figures walked up towards them. One wore an orange jumpsuit just like Ryu's. Another wore blue jeans and a vest. Then the final was a woman who wore blue and had her hair up in buns. "Hey Ken. Hey Terry. Hey Chun Li," Little Mac said. "So, you got beat?" Ken asked. "Yeah. Still need a lot more training," Little Mac said. "How long have they been going at it?" Chun Li asked. "30 minutes," Samus said. "Wow, the red one is tough if he's been going that long against Ryu," Terry said. "Alright, I'm calling this off," Chun Li said.

"No need," Ryu said as he walked to them with Knuckles also walking towards them, both sweating. "We've come to terms. We shall hold off our fight for another time," Ryu said. "Yeah, but I can still totally beat you," Knuckles said. "Talk is cheap," Ryu said. "Yeah, but I can totally beat you," Knuckles said. "Okay, let's focus up," Mario said. "Right. I have decided I will join you," Ryu said. "That is great," Fox said. "Who will we be facing?" Ryu asked.

"Well there's Bowser, Ganondorf, and of course their minions," Mario said. "Wolf. This guy, M. Bison," Fox said. "Hold up. Did you say M. Bison?" Chun Li asked. "Yeah. You know him?" Fox asked. Chun Li kept quiet. Ken whispered to them, "M. Bison killed her father." "It's alright. If M. Bison is involved then I will fight alongside you," Chun Li said. Samus took a stare at her, as if she could sympathize.

Kirby turned around and believed he heard something. Kirby ran to the edge. "Hey, what's up?" Fox asked. They saw that a projectile was heading towards them. "What the?!" Fox exclaimed. "Humph!" Kirby exclaimed. Kirby inhaled the projectile and tossed it back. "What was that?!" Knuckles exclaimed as everyone ran to the edge. More projectiles were being launched at them. "Psychic powers," Chun Li said. "Hadouken!" Ryu and Ken yelled as they shot out Hadoukens and they collided with the projectiles.

As the smoke cleared down the street they saw M. Bison. To his sides was Donkey Kong and another man who was unfamiliar to them. He only wore pants, his hair was combed back and he had a single red eye. "You believed you could come into my world, which is rightfully mine and simply have its people revolt against me!" M. Bison yelled. Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li jumped down and landed in front of Suzaku Castle. "This world never belonged to you," Chun Li said. "Funny. I heard that once before," M. Bison said. "Who's your friend?" Ryu asked.

Everyone else met up with them. Fox and Samus held their blaster and cannon. Link pulled out his sword and became prepared to defend Zelda. Everyone else just became ready in their fighting pose. M. Bison released his palm and around them Primids grew to existence.

The shirtless man stepped up. "Ryu, isn't it? I am Kazuya Mishima," he said. "The Heir to the Mishima Zaibatsu," Ryu said. "Indeed. In our world of fighting strength is everything, and my name comes with the relentless pursuit of victory," Kazuya said, "So remember my name, for it will be the last thing you will remember!"

Donkey Kong pounded his chest in the form of intimidation. "Mario, that's Donkey Kong," Yoshi said. "Yeah. Looks like what Diddy said is correct. Doesn't look like he'll go easy on us," Mario said. "Don't worry. We'll have your backs," Terry said. "Incineroar!" Incineroar yelled.

M. Bison stepped forward. "I, M. Bison! I have been longing for this battle for so long! Now! Now!" he yelled as his eyes began glowing and his hands pulsed with energy, "Now I shall show my true might!" The hero side stared deep into their eyes, refusing to show their fear. "Talk… is cheap," Ryu said. The villains charged forward and the heroes did the same.
