Sorry it took a long time to update. I've been busy. Now, to get this original chapter out of the way.
Chapter 8
A True Friend - Part 3
It's been a few days since Matt gained control of his powers. He decided not to tell anyone, yet.
Matt has gained a better understanding of Newtopia's layout. He planned to have a day to just hang out with Aaron and explore the city, a special day between the two of them.
Once Matt was done planning his day, he approached Aaron.
"Hey, Aaron, you wanna hang out?" Matt asked.
"I'm cool with that," Aaron replied.
Once the two left the hotel, the first place they went to was the arcade. Marcy told Matt that Newtopia has an arcade some time before, so Matt knew he had to go there at some point.
Matt and Aaron's time at the arcade was… interesting as they'd put it.
Since Newtopia arcade was very similar to earth arcade, Matt did very well at all of them, whether it'd be shooting, dancing, fighting, or something else. Aaron did horrible, given this was his first time playing video games, but he had fun nonetheless.
Once Matt and Aaron left the arcade, Matt noticed that it was already close to sunset, meaning they spent a lot more time in the arcade than they should have. Matt realized he had to skip ahead and get to the last thing on his list.
Matt led Aaron back to the hotel. When Aaron asked what was happening, Matt just replied, "It's a surprise. Trust me, it'll be worth it."
Once they reached the hotel, Matt and Aaron got in line for the ferris wheel, which, surprisingly, wasn't as busy as Matt expected.
After a bit of waiting, Matt and Aaron got on the ferris wheel and it rose up. Once they reached the top, they saw this very beautiful sunset.
"It's beautiful," said Aaron.
"Yeah, it is," said Matt, as he turned to his crush.
Matt kissed Aaron on the cheek.
Aaron turned towards Matt with a mix of shock and anger in his face.
Once the two got off, Aaron walked off without saying a word, leaving Matt to stand there in sadness, knowing that he blew it.
