BGM: Kakariko Village - Day (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
Weiss closed her eyes, letting out a deep breath and started to walk through the village. A few Sheikah spotted her but went about their business as they had just thought she was an ordinary traveler that was just visiting.
She turned her head to see a man growing some pumpkins in his garden. "Oh wow, those look good." She said as she kept walking, where her Sheikah Slate went off, alerting her of a shrine nearby.
"Oh?" She wondered as she took a good look around until she found a hill as she walked up, her Sheikah Slate getting louder within each step until she found the shrine. She turned around and saw that overlooked Kakariko. She stepped back to admire the view as she picked off some apples from a tree and stored them away before she turned around and activated the Shrine before she walked in.

"To you who sets foot in this shrine… I am Ta'loh Naeg. I share with you my knowledge, that it may please Hylia."
"...That's different."
Ta'loh Naeg's Teaching
She immediately saw two chests on both of her sides. She walked to the left and pulled out an Eightfold Blade. "Hmm!" She strapped it to her back and put her Soldier's Claymore in her bag. She then walked over to the other and pulled out a Shield of the Mind's Eye, which she swapped her Traveler's Shield for it.
She turned to the center and walked forward… only for a Guardian to rise up as it pulled out a sword.

BGM: Shrine Battle (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
"Uh oh!"
"Side hop to avoid enemy attacks. This will create an opening that you can use to strike back."
The Guardian approached her and swung its sword down, but Weiss side hopped and swung her sword to counter attack.
To her surprise, it felt completely natural… like she had done it in the past.
"Backflip to avoid enemy attacks and create an opening to strike back."
Weiss immediately remembered how she instinctively backflipped to avoid that Bokoblin swinging its club at her.
The Guardian swung sideways, but Weiss backflipped and then counter attacked immediately after.
"Repel your attack with your shield at the right time. That also will create an opening."
The Guardian swung down as Weiss tried to parry, but she was a bit too early and got nicked by the sword. "Mmph!" She winced as the Guardian swung again, this time with Weiss perfectly parrying the attack.
"Build up your power, and then release it to unleash a charge attack. Catch your enemies in this motion to damage them."
Weiss got in a stance, feeling the power surging through her and unleashed a spin attack, proceeding to destroy the Guardian as it dropped its sword. It exploded shortly after.

"You have done well to learn these crucial skills. Now, proceed."
Weiss picked up the Guardian Sword and with a nod, she stored it away and picked up the ancient parts that the Guardian had dropped. She then walked over to the chest from the open door and pulled out an Opal for her troubles, then she went to collect her Spirit Orb.
"Your triumph over the test of strength subverts a prophecy of ruin. From the ashes of Hyrule, a hero rises. In the name of Goddess Hylia, I bestow upon you this Spirit Orb."
Once Weiss took it, she was immediately warped out of the Shrine.

She proceeded to walk down the hill and continued to explore Kakariko, finding a clothing shop as she walked in out of curiosity.
"Hello, welcome to Enchanted!" The Sheikah shopkeeper smiled.
Weiss immediately saw the Sheikah outfit as she approached, rubbing her chin in thought. "That might look good on me." She said as she then saw the price tag that made her almost hit the floor in surprise.
Eighteen Hundred Rupees
"Uuuuuh… how much for just… one piece?"
"You mean one piece of the whole set?" The shopkeeper asked.
"Yes."
"Huh, that's a bit unusual…" She mused. "Buuuut, if you're willing to wear one of them: The mask is five hundred Rupees-"
"F-Five hundred…?"
"-The Stealth Chest Guard is worth seven hundred-"
"Seven hundred…" Weiss whimpered.
"Aaaand the Stealth Tights are worth six hundred. It's a grand total of eighteen hundred Rupees."
I don't even have that much! Weiss thought as she looked toward the shopkeeper and approached her, pulling out her ore. "So… what can I get with all of this?"
"Hmmm… I know just the thing."
A few seconds later, Weiss walked out with the Hylian set on her, which cost her around two hundred and seventy Rupees.
"Mmm… it's better than nothing, I suppose." She said, taking her hood off as she walked around the village as some Cuccos wandered around without a care in the world. She continued to explore where she found a Hylia Statue at a pond, to which she walked over and offered it four Spirit Orbs, to where she felt herself getting stronger and felt she could run a bit further.
With a nod, she continued to wander around until she found a Sheikah walking nearby. "Excuse me!" Weiss spoke up as the Sheikah turned to her. "Do you know where I can find Impa?"
"Oh, Lady Impa?" He pointed toward a house. "You see that big house that overlooks the entire village? The one with those stairs?"
"Yeah?"
"As far as I know, that's where she's currently at."
"Thank you." Weiss nodded and walked over to the house, but stopped to see four statues, three having been offered an apple but one was empty. She pulled out an apple and put it down to complete the set.
…And then a Korok popped up in front of her face.
"Wah!"
"Yahaha! You found me!"
"Uuuum… how exactly did I find you? I just put the apple in the-"
"Here ya go!" The Korok gave her a Korok Seed and proceeded to happily wander around the village.
"Um… okay…" Weiss put it away. "Thanks for the heart attack."
She turned around and walked up the steps, to where she was met with spears blocking her path. "Huh?!"
"You do not have permission to go see Lady Impa. Only when she requests your presence is only when you will get to have an audience with her!"
"No, see, I already had permission. I was told to-" She paused for a moment, unsure of what to say.
"Hi, I was told to visit Impa by a dead king and my dead mother!"
Weiss shook her head. There was no way they'd believe her.
"Told to what exactly?" The Sheikah Guard demanded.
"I was told to come here by… uuuuuuh…" Weiss shifted her eyes.
Korok? Hestu? Bokoblin? Yang? Those two weirdos? A Guardian?
"Don't play games with us, missy! Leave before-" One of the guards spotted the Sheikah Slate on her hip. "-Wait… is that a Sheikah Slate?"
"It is!"
Both of them looked at each other and turned to Weiss.
"Then that would mean you're-"
Both of them stood up straight, saluting while putting their spears up.
"Forgive us, Champion of Hyrule!" They both said in unison.
Weiss sweatdropped. Talk about a one eighty… "Um… thank you…? …At ease… I guess…" She walked up the stairs. Weirdos…
"I don't know…"
"Come on, Paya, you gotta at least chat with that guy."
"Hmm?"
Weiss got closer, seeing two ladies conversing.
"Ilia, I know he's cute but… he's… way out of my league…"
"You're just saying that because of your social anxiety."
"I-It's not my fault I was born with this!" Paya groaned before sighing. "I'll never get out of this funk…"
"Hey, you're speaking with me just fine."
"You're my best friend, Ilia… of course I'd warm up to you." Paya mumbled. "But to everyone else? I… I don't know if I can. You and grandma are the only ones I-"
She shifted her eyes, spotting Weiss. "I… I… uuuuuuuh…"
Ilia turned her head. "Hmm? Oh! How long were you standing there?"
"Um… long enough?" Weiss shrugged. "Do you know if Impa is in here?"
"Y-Yeah, she's in he-here…" Paya looked away shyly. "Um…"
"What do you want with her?" Ilia asked, reaching for her weapon in case Weiss was about to do any shady business. She immediately saw the Sheikah Slate. "...Wait… that's a Sheikah Slate." She said. "Who are you…?"
"Weiss Schnee."
Both girls eyes widened in surprise.
"Oh sweet Hylia…" Ilia whispered as she relaxed. "Impa's in there." She said before smiling. "I'm Ilia Amitola."
"And I'm… I'm… Papaya! No! I mean, I.. I'm… Purah… no! I'm… hiya papaya! NO! I'm… I'm…. okay, deep breath… deep breath…" She took a deep breath and exhaled deeply. "I'm… Pa-Paya."
"Pa-Paya?"
"N-no! Just… Just Paya." Paya immediately started to sulk in a corner. "Curse my social anxiety… just leave me here to die, Ilia…"
"There there…" Ilia patted her on the back.
Weiss walked over to Paya and gently rubbed her back. "It's going to be okay." She said softly with a soft smile before she walked to the door.
"I… didn't… scare her off…?"
"Nope."
"Ooooh, that was mortifying…"

Weiss opened the doors and saw an old woman at the far end of the room.
"So, you're finally awake." The old woman said as she smiled fondly at her. "It has been quite a long time… Weiss. I am much older now, but… you remember me, don't you?"
BGM: Impa's Theme (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
"Um…" Weiss could only say awkwardly.
"What is the matter? You are looking at me as though I am a stranger to you. Those eyes… they lack the light of familiarity. It is I, wise and courageous one. Impa. Surely you must at least remember the name Impa?"
"I… don't know." Weiss responded. "I haven't the foggiest who you are, to be honest. I'm sorry."
Impa's eyes widened. "Oh, so you have lost your memory then." She said as Weiss nodded. "Well, it matters not. In fact, that may actually be a blessing in disguise for the time being. Come closer…"
Weiss walked closer, unsure of what to say considering her memory of Impa was out the window.
"A hundred years… yes, a hundred years ago, the kingdom of Hyrule was destroyed. After you fell, Princess Ruby's final wish was to place you in a sacred slumber. And then… all alone… Alone she went to face Ganon. Before Princess Ruby went to nobly meet her fate… she entrusted me with some words she wished to say to you. I have been waiting a century to deliver the princess's message. However! These words, which the princess risked her life to leave you… Well… if you are to hear them. You must be prepared to risk your own life as well. But I am afraid that burden may be too much to bear while you are still without your memories."
"Well… I've come this far. What did the princess want to say to me?"
"Are you sure?"
"Apparently I had served the royal family as a Mage Knight. I want to know what she had to say. If I have a hard time processing it, so be it. If it means risking my life with little magic that I have, then I'm okay with it. Honestly, it feels familiar to me somehow."
Impa smiled. "You have not changed a bit, memory or no memory. Very well then, since you have lost your memory, allow me to start from the beginning."
Weiss sat down. "I'm ready."

BGM: 10,000 Year Legend (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
"The history of the royal family in Hyrule is also the history of Calamity Ganon, a primal evil that has endured over the ages. This evil has been turned back time and time again, by a warrior wielding the soul of a heroine, and a princess who carries the blood of the Goddess. With the passage of time, each conflict with Ganon faded into legend. So listen closely as I tell you of this "legend" that occurred ten thousand years ago."
Ten thousand…?! Weiss thought in surprise.
"Hyrule was then blossoming as a highly advanced civilization. Even the most powerful monsters posed little three to the denizens of the realm. The people thought it wise to utilize their technological prowess to ensure the safety of the land, should Calamity Ganon ever return. They constructed four mechanical wonders that came to be known as the Divine Beasts. They also built a legion of autonomous weapons called Guardians. The Divine Beasts were piloted by four individuals of exceptional skill from across the land. And thus, the plan to neutralize Ganon was forged."
Wow… Weiss thought in awe.
"Upon Ganon's inevitable return to Hyrule, the princess and the hero fought alongside these four Champions against this ancient evil. The Guardians were tasked with protecting the hero as the Divine Beasts unleashed a furious attack upon their terrible foe. And with the heroine wielding the sword that seals the darkness delivered his final blow, the princess used her sacred power to seal away Calamity Ganon."

Resume Impa's Theme BGM
"A hundred years ago… in preparation for the foretold revival of Ganon, we strove to follow the lead of our ancestors of ten thousand years prior. But… in the end… despite our best efforts and careful planning, we underestimated his power. In order to avoid ever making that grave mistake again, the princess left you these words… "Free the four Divine Beasts.", that is what she said."
"I'm… assuming the Divine Beasts are still around?"
"Indeed. These ancient Sheikah weapons were wielded by the four champions that Ganon defeated. The Divine Beast Vah Rudania, controlled by Daruk of the Gorons. The Divine Beast Vah Medoh, controlled by Revali of the Rito. The Divine Beast Vah Ruta, controlled by Mipha of the Zoras… and the Divine Beast Vah Naboris, controlled by Urbosa of the Gerudo. It would be extremely ill advised to face Ganon without the power of the Divine Beasts to help you. You must infiltrate the Divine Beasts that were stolen away by Ganon a hundred years ago and bring him back to our side."
"Okay…"
"More information about these Divine Beasts can be found by locating the four races scattered across Hyrule."
At that moment, Weiss's Sheikah Slate went off as she pulled it out to look at her map as four markers appeared on blank slots all over the map.
"Speak with the four leaders of these regions and they will tell you everything… but it also appears that your Sheikah Slate is incomplete. That device that Princess Ruby had left you is your guide and your memory. Now then, the Director at the ancient research lab in Hateno Village might be able to help you."
Another marker appeared on Weiss's map.
"That marker shows the eastern edge of Hyrule is known as Hateno Village. It is one of the few places that did not receive significant damage during the Great Calamity. You are Princess Ruby's only hope… and Hyrule's, as well. You know deep in your heart that you cannot turn back now."
"...Given the fact I'm the last hope of Hyrule, I can't ignore that." Weiss said as she stood up. "Alright… I'll go to Hateno."
"Excellent." Impa smiled as Weiss turned around and walked out the door.

"Okay… now where would Hateno be at…" Weiss wondered as she closed her eyes, recalling a fork in the road and seeing two signs, one of them saying Hateno.
She immediately looked into her Sheikah Slate and looked for the quickest way to get there, then spotted the shrine near the stable. She immediately selected that and teleported over to that location.
BGM: Field - Day (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
Once Weiss got her bearings, she made her way to the fork in the road and turned right, where she would immediately see some horses, a Bokoblin camp, and a massive Guardian graveyard. "Whoa…" She whispered, seeing the whole size of the place. "They had a party."
She immediately went to each one, scavenging for scraps… but she also had noticed a few of them had marks of a sword scraping their armor. She curiously studied them and tilted her head as she pulled out each of her weapons and tried to scratch them, but none made a dent or a scratch like the original ones.
"Whatever destroyed them… it's definitely not Hylian." She mumbled under her breath as she walked ahead, deciding to fire some arrows at the Bokoblin camp, hitting them in the heads to kill them and grabbed their food with a hum, storing them away as she made her way into Fort Hateno.
"Halt!" A guard stopped her. "Go no-... oh, it's just a traveler. Never mind then."
"Jumpy, are we?" Weiss asked.
"Considering there are monsters about…"
"Fair enough." Weiss nodded and walked along the path, throwing a few bombs at some ore deposts and picking up some amber, flint or some rock salt with the occasional sapphire. She turned her head toward an open path to see some sort of rock stone graveyard-like area.
She curiously walked through and saw a man at the site, going through his notes. He was so engrossed in it, he didn't hear Weiss approaching.
"What's all this?"
"Ack!" He yelped as he turned around and sighed. "Don't sneak up on me like that, I thought you were a monster!"
"Sorry… didn't want to interrupt… whatever it is you're doing. What are you doing anyway? Sketching?"
"Ah! Actually no, I'm not doing any of that. There is this riddle that has been plaguing me for a while. "When a dark light resides in the cursed statue's eyes, pierce its gaze to purge the seal from the shrine"." He read from his notes before looking up. "Calip."
"Weiss Schnee."
"Well, Weiss… do you want to help me figure this riddle out? I have reason to believe that "dark light" refers to at night… but unfortunately, I cannot be out at night, so when the sun sets, that is my cue to leave."
"Early bedtime?"
"More like monsters climb out of the ground and try to kill you."
"...Beg pardon?"
"What, you never heard of that? Consider yourself lucky!" He chuckled. "If you want to do this by yourself, feel free… but be careful. Them and Keese are nasty creatures."
"I'll… keep that in mind." Weiss said. That riddle mentioned a shrine… She thought as she placed a marker down in her Slate. "I must be on my way, I'm heading to Hateno."
"Take care. I'll be here for a few more hours. Thank goodness for shade."
Weiss turned around and walked off, then turning left to continue her journey as she would knock out a few Bokoblins that got a bit too curious with her.
A Moblin spotted her and started to make his way over to her, including picking up an unsuspecting Bokoblin at her.
"Hmm?" Weiss turned her head to the screeching and saw a Bokoblin flying to her. "Whoa!" She got out of the way as she turned to see the Moblin approaching her. "The heck are you?" She wondered as she immediately pulled out her Traveler's Bow and fired an arrow into the Moblin's face, knocking him down.
Weiss smirked, only for the smirk to disappear as the Moblin got back up and pulled the arrow out of his forehead, snapping it in half. The Moblin swung down his club but Weiss rolled out of the way and raised her hand up, proceeding to launch ice magic at him that froze him solid.
She pulled out her Woodcutter Axe and swung it with enough force to knock the Moblin out of its frozen state and made him fall into the river below.
"Phew…" Weiss put her axe away and continued on her path, and then saw a Sheikah Tower up ahead. "Ooooh!"
She quickly made her way over to it, only to see that it was covered in thorns. "Hmm…" She mused as she nocked a Fire Arrow into her bow and shot it at the thorns, causing them to light up as it wrapped around the tower before the thorns disintegrated.
Weiss put her bow away as she climbed up, using the platforms to rest on her way up until she made her way up to the top and put her Sheikah Slate in the pedestal, which in turn activated the tower and lit up a part of the map.
When she took a look, she studied the part of the map that opened up for her.
East Necluda, East Necluda Sea, Hateno Village…
…Lanayru Mountain?
Weiss stared at the two words as she looked up to see Mount Lanayru in the distance. She felt as if it was… calling her in a way.
She hopped off the tower, gently landing on the ground from her paraglider and made her way up to Hateno Village.

Weiss looked around, seeing the folks going about their day without a care in the world. It felt cozy to her as she smiled, then turned to see a shop as she walked in to see what she could buy.
She set her sights on some arrows as she picked them up, but found another kind that caught her attention.
"What's this?"
"Bomb arrows! They've got quite the punch!"
"...I'll take a few." Weiss said, picking them up as she looked around at the items, picking up a few Hearty Truffles and some milk, and once she paid for them, she stored them away and walked out as she continue to walk through the town, and then her Sheikah Sensor went off.
"Oh, there's a shrine here?" She wondered as she wandered a bit before she found it. "Perfect." She walked inside with a hum.

"To you who sets foot in this shrine… I am Myahm Agana. In the name of the Goddess Hylia, I offer this trial."

Weiss saw the long path way toward a locked door, and noticed some stairs. She walked up the stairs and found herself a pedestal with a curious design of some rings moving around. She put her Sheikah Slate on the pedestal.
"Okay… now what?" She wondered as a control stick popped out from underneath the slate. She curiously moved it, to where the maze moved in kind. "Ooooh, okay." She said as she moved the maze around… only to accidentally cause the ball to fall into the abyss as it rolled off.
"Whoops!" She whispered as the ball respawned as she tried it again, only to realize that the controls were extremely slippery as butter, not to mention sometimes unresponsive… or the maze would simply move opposite of what she wanted, resulting in a lot of balls falling into the abyss.
"Come on… rrrrgh…! What is with these controls!" She demanded as she slowly but surely moved the ball around until she got it positioned just right and moved it down to where the ball slowly moved. Weiss tried to position it back so it wouldn't fall… only for the maze to twitch and move all the way back, forcing the ball to smack into a wall.
"What?! That's not what I meant to do!"
Weiss corrected herself, only to find it nearly impossible to correct herself as the maze slowly went down until the ball rolled forward to the end zone… only to get stuck on the ledge. "What…?" She wondered as she tried to gently nudge it, which caused the ball to gently move to the right and straight for the abyss once more.
"No! No no no no no…" She whispered as she tried to correct herself, but this time it flipped upside down, causing her eye to twitch… however, the ball respawned on the bottom of the maze, giving Weiss an idea to navigate it without any walls to deal with.
…Problem was, the controls were now inverted and made Weiss's life difficult to the point the maze corrected itself and was back to normal after the ball fell into the abyss once more.
"AAAAARGH! That's it!"
She stormed off… and then walked up the ramp and hopped into the maze herself, quickly making a glyph to make a ramp before guiding herself through the maze, grabbing a Phrenic Bow from the chest that was also in the maze as she made her way to the ball and immediately started pushing it, using glyphs and ice walls to prevent it from falling into the abyss for the umpteenth time.
Once she made it to the exit, she shoved the ball down as it rolled down the ramp and into the pocket, causing the door to open up.
"Much better."
She walked off to collect her much needed Spirit Orb after collecting her Sheikah Slate, giving the pedestal a good kick before walking off with a "hmph!".

She walked out of the shrine as she looked around to see what else Hateno had to offer as she turned her head and saw an old house away from all civilization. She curiously walked over to it to see a man swinging a sledgehammer at the house.
"What's going on here?" Weiss asked.
"Ah, this home has been abandoned for years. No one knows where the owner is and this home has simply been a bump on a log. Village council decided it'd be best to tear it down, so that's what the Bolson Construction Company is doing."
"I see…" Weiss mused. "I can possibly buy it. Are you Bolson?"
"Ohohoho, no, I'm Hudson. Pleasure to meet you! You are…?"
"Weiss Schnee."
"Nice to meet you. If you're looking for the boss, he's out back."
"Thank you." Weiss nodded as she walked around the corner and found a man swinging the sledgehammer at the back wall with another man accompanying him. "Hi, are one of you Bolson?"
"That'd be me~!" The man smiled. "I'm Bolson, what is your name, cutie?"
Weiss grimaced at the "cutie" bit. "I'm Weiss Schnee. I just couldn't help but admire this home that you are currently destroying. I'd like to buy it."
"Oh, you think you can just buy it?" Bolson chuckled. "Very well, that'll be ten thousand Rupees."
"HUH?!" Weiss yelled in surprise, paling at the mere thought of buying a house for that much, let alone holding that many Rupees.
"What, were you expecting something cheaper? Rupees don't grow on trees, ya know." Bolson said before smiling. "However, I do admire your bravery for wanting to buy while we're demolishing it… so I'll cut you a deal. Five thousand Rupees."
"Hmmm…" Weiss rubbed her chin, having an idea. "Okay, so… humor me for a moment."
"I'm all ears."

"So, let's say that the value of this house is ten thousand Rupees, but every time it gets destroyed, the value decreases to… let's say… a thousand Rupees a piece."
"Uh-huh." Bolson mused.
"How many times would you say you put a hole in this house with your sledgehammers?"
"Oh, let's see… I think I gave it five good swings and put five holes in-" Bolson paused.
"I took down the door." Hudson said. "And I put a good sized hole in the side, not to mention I did away with the furniture."
"I did about… ah… five holes in it? I was in sync with Bolson." Karson said.
"So, logistically, with that many holes in the house and without a door, the value is pretty much zero Rupees… so logically, I'd be paying you nothing for this house and I'd be getting it for free… correct?"
"Yes, that would be the case…" Hudson mused.
"Hmm, you make a good point!" Karson said.
"I see what's going on here." Bolson narrowed his eyes. "You negotiated your way out of a zero Rupee deal and you get this house for free… not to mention you tried to dupe the Bolson Construction Company."
"Who, me? I'm just an ordinary gal who was just doing some math for the fun of it."

Bolson leaned in close to Weiss, his voice lowering. "Listen here, missy. No one has ever tricked the Bolson Construction Company like that…"
Weiss felt intimidated as she was close to backing away in fear. Ooooh Hylia, what have I done? She thought as she glanced at Bolson tightening his grip on his sledgehammer.
At that moment, Bolson dropped his sledgehammer and smiled. "I like you~! Why, the thought of being duped like that is simply fascinating~"
"...Huh?"
"No one has ever stood up to the Bolson Construction Company before~ I mean, no one has ever complained about our work because we're top notch, but for someone having the audacity to stop us from what we're doing… why, it just sends a delightful shiver up my spine~! I definitely like you!"
He then immediately hugged Weiss.
"Whoa whoa whoa! Ack! Hey!" Weiss yelped.
"Tell you what, cutie? You get the house for free and we will repair the holes at no additional cost. HOWEVER, considering Hudson burned all the furniture and the door, we will have to get new ones and replace the door. That will cost you a hundred Rupees a piece. Does that sound fair?"
"Mmph, I guess so…" Weiss said as her face was shoved into his chest.
"Then it's settled~! The house is yours~ We'll be around Hateno so feel free to give us a call~!"
The three of them walked across the bridge after Bolson released Weiss.

She climbed up the wall and looked at the house, walking inside to see it completely empty.
"Definitely a fixer upper but… I'll worry about this later." She said as she walked out and back into town, where she spotted a lab at the top of the hill. "Hmm? Never noticed that before…" She mused as she walked her way over, where she noticed some lanterns on her way up.

"I'm… looking for the Director."
"The Director is in the back." The girl said as Weiss nodded and walked over to the man in the back. "Excuse me."
"Hmm?" The man turned around. "Oh! Hello there… ah… that tablet on your waist. It's the Sheikah Slate… and you must be Weiss, correct?"
Weiss blinked. "How did you-"
"Oh, where are my manners? The name's Pietro." He greeted warmly. "If you're wondering about how I knew you, Impa told us. She said: "A young woman holding a Sheikah Slate will appear and you must do all you can to help her out. She will be the hope that awakens from the Slumber of Restoration. Her name will be Weiss."." He recited. "Mind if I take a look at your runes real quick?"
"Um… sure."
Pietro took a look at her runes. "Mhm… Stasis… Cyronis… Remote Bombs and Magnesis… seems like they're all-... oh, not all the basic runes are in this. That's a shame." He said. "But, I know the Director will be happy to help."
"The… what…?"
"Oh, you haven't met yet, I presume? The Director is the little missy right there, Purah." He said, pointing to the little girl.
"Check it~!" Purah smiled.
"She may look like a young girl, but she-... ah, it's not exactly my place to explain it. I'm merely just her assistant."
With a nod, Weiss turned around and walked to Purah. "Sooo, you're the Director…?"
"Yup yup! Pietro's not the Director. It's me!" She smiled. "Snappity snap!"
…What did I just walk into? Weiss thought.
"Anyway, Ice Queen-"
"...Ice Queen…?"
"-Do you remember any dreams from your time in the Slumber of Restoration? You don't look like you've changed in the last hundred years but SOMETHING must have happened after all that time!"
"Uh… quick question, how old was I when I was put under?"
"Nineteen."
"Okay, so I'm a hundred and nineteen years old, that's good to know but… when I woke up, I-"
"Ah! Spare me the details later! I'm just happy that you're still in one piece. …Weiss-y? What's with that look? You still remember me right?"
"I don't remember anything."
"Ooooh, good to know…" Purah pulled out a notepad and started to scribble down some notes. "Woke up with amnesia… very good to know…" She put it away. "Still, I'm not too surprised by this outcome, given how Calamity Ganon mortally wounded you when you were protecting the princess. That said, I was the one who put you into the Slumber of Restoration. …Anyway, you got any questions for me?"
"Yeah… aren't you a little young to be a director?"
"Hey! That's kinda rude! …Although, one would come to that logical conclusion…" She mumbled. "The reason why I look like this was because of a failed experiment. Well… technically, it's not "failed", it definitely worked so it's more of a, shall we say, task failed successfully kind of deal."
Weiss sweatdropped with a perplexed expression. Seriously, WHAT did I just walk into?
"I documented the whole thing in my diary up in my room, but I insist that you don't look into it! It's rather embarrassing… anyway, after a century, you're here and you're ready to rescue Princess Ruby from Calamity Ganon who is gaining strength right this very moment… of course, knowing you, you might succeed if you have the courage and wisdom."
"I… see…"
"Anywho! I would upgrade your Sheikah Slate, but the ancient furnace isn't active yet. I sent my children out to get it up and running with the blue flame that is in tow-"
"Wait wait wait, hold on. "Children"?"
"Yup! I have two kids, a daughter and a son." Purah smiled, and then suddenly, the pillar nearby turned blue. "Oh! OH! They succeeded!"
The door opened up. "We're back!" A voice said as they turned around to see a young lady at the door. "Oh! Who is this?"
"Sweetie, this is Weiss! Weiss, this is my daughter, Penny."
Penny's eyes lit up. "She awakened?!" She smiled excitedly. "Salutations~!"
"Hi…" Weiss waved. "...Quick question-"
"No, I did not give birth to her. I built her from the scrap metal from the Guardian graveyard near Fort Hateno." Purah explained. "She's basically a robot."
"Ooooh. So, your son, who is-"
"Boop boop!"
They would see a miniature egg-like Guardian walking around Penny. It curiously looked at Weiss.
"Weiss, meet my son… Terrako."
"Hi…?" Weiss asked, unsure what to think of a miniature Guardian in front of her.
"Boop beep?" Terrako approached her, walking around her curiously and checking her out before nodding in approval.
"Mind if I see your Sheikah Slate for a sec?" Purah asked as Weiss handed it over as she wandered off with a hum, pulling out a wrench while she was at it.
"Soooo… why is your mother so… small?" Weiss whispered.
"That is classified information." Penny responded.
Weiss frowned. "Well, had to try…"
"Done~!"
"Done? That was only a few seconds!" Weiss said as Purah handed it over to her.
"I'm small, but I'm still efficient!" Purah grinned as Weiss looked into her Sheikah Slate, seeing that her Remote Bombs and Stasis had been upgraded, along with a camera rune being added along with a rune that appeared to have Penny's face in it.
"What in-"
"Okay, so I've upgraded your Remote Bombs to where they have an extra punch to them. The Stasis lets you freeze monsters. That little box right there is basically a camera, letting you capture still life images in a snap!"
"Huh…"
"Oh, and the one with my daughter's face on it? This Rune is basically a summoning Rune. With it, you can summon anyone to help you out at a moment's notice."
"Really?" Weiss wondered as she selected it, seeing that the only two available were Penny and Terrako. "That's pretty cool."
"Mhm! Now then, off you go to save the world. The fate of Hyrule rests in your hands! By the way, tell Impa I said hello!"
"Okay." Weiss nodded as she selected the shrine in Kakariko and teleported away.

BGM: Kakariko
Weiss looked around, noticing that it was dark. "Huh… guess I spent a long time at Purah's." She said as she made her way down and toward Impa's, but as she walked in, she would see Paya in the midst of a panic attack.
"I can't believe it! I can't believe that it's gone!" Paya sobbed.
"There there, Paya. It will be alright…" Impa said as she turned to see Weiss. "Ah, you've come at a bad time, I'm afraid."
"What's going on?"
"Our Sheikah heirloom was stolen away!" Paya whimpered. "I never take my eyes off of it while I'm cleaning it! But I look away for a split second and it was gone! I don't know what to do!"
Nearby, Ilia clenched her fists with a growl. "That does it…" She growled as she turned around and ran off.
"Hmm?" Weiss wondered as she watched Ilia run off. She turned back to Paya. "It'll be okay." She reassured before setting off. She watched Ilia run through the village as she decided to follow her.
What's she up to? She wondered as she kept following her up the hill, silently as to not startle her.
After a few minutes of following her, she hid behind a tree to see Ilia by herself and near a Shrine pedestal of sorts.

"Show yourself!" Ilia demanded.
"There is no need to shout, young lady."
Suddenly, a Yiga Blademaster appeared in front of her.
"This was not our agreement!" Ilia glared.
"You're backing out now? Oh, but Ilia, I thought we had a deal. You become our eyes and ears while we leave Kakariko alone."
"I didn't want this! You've crossed the line by stealing the heirloom! I refuse to be your spy a second longer."
"You were always reluctant… given how your family owed a debt to us. They were not making ends meet, so they had to buy a loan to save themselves, yet they had no idea what they did had ties to the Yiga. They could not pay it back, yet you jumped in to save them."
"I was desperate… I wanted to save my family."
"Yet we only spared you because you had potential. You watched us burn your house down after we slaughtered your family. May I remind you that the first time you tried to run away from this great debt, your girlfriend… had an accident that cost her dearly?"
Ilia clenched her fists, glaring at him in anger.
"You ran away and seeked shelter in Kakariko, but we caught up to you first. Instead of killing you, we had a proposition. Your debt will be no more if you become our eyes and ears. You refused to steal the heirloom because everyone treated you "nicely", so I thought I'd give you a nudge."
"No more! I refuse to be your puppet a second longer!"
"Then this is where your light will be snuffed out… but first, we have an audience. Reveal yourself to us!" He ordered as Weiss walked out of the tree.
"Weiss…?!" Ilia said in surprise.
"Hmph. You have heard too much… however, I am feeling generous, so I will pretend I've never seen you before if you simply walk away."
Weiss said nothing as she pulled out the Soldier's Claymore.
"Hmph! So you're playing the hero. Big mistake."
BGM: Master Kohga Battle (The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom)
The Blademaster backhanded Ilia while readying his Wind Cleaver. "Facing me will be the last mistake you've ever made."
"Don't worry, Ilia. I'll get you out of this mess."
The Blademaster disappeared in a flash. Weiss quickly shifted her eyes and dodged an attack coming from the right as she jumped in and slashed at the Blademaster, but he swiftly blocked with his sword as they clashed against each other.
The Blademaster quickly parried her away and swung his sword to knock her in the air. Weiss recovered and pulled out her bow, firing a Bomb Arrow into his face.
"Rrrgh!" He grunted as it dazed him for a few moments as Weiss quickly jumped in and slashed him, but the Blademaster backhanded her as he charged the sword up with energy and swung down, slicing through the air as sharp wind hit Weiss in the shoulder.
"Nnngh!" Weiss grunted as was knocked on her butt as the Blademaster punched the ground as the ground ruptured and moved straight toward Weiss as wind picked up. By the time she got her bearings, a slab of rock shot up and knocked Weiss into the air. "Aaagh!"
The Blademaster jumped up in the air as Weiss recovered as she nocked another Bomb Arrow and fired, the explosion knocking them both to the ground as the Blademaster's sword landed on the ground near Ilia.
"Weiss!" Ilia called out as she noticed the Windcleaver near her. She let out a growl before putting her hands together and made a couple of hand signs.
Weiss got back up with a groan, using her healing magic on herself… only to get slugged in the face by the Blademaster as he delivered strong hooks as she tried to block with her Shield of the Mind's Eye, but he punched a massive hole into the shield.
"Wha…?!" Weiss whimpered as the Blademaster pulled the shield away and tossed it to the side as he grabbed her by the collar and lifted her in the air.
"You chose poorly." He said as he pulled back his fist.
However, the Windcleaver pierced through his backside and out of his chest. "Graaagh!" He grunted as he turned his head to see nothing stabbed through him, only for Ilia to reveal herself.
"You're done." Ilia said, pulling the sword out of his body as he dropped Weiss and fell to the ground in death.

"Are you okay?" Ilia asked Weiss in concern.
"I… should be." Weiss nodded. "What'd you do? You like… reappeared."
"Oh." Ilia shyly smiled. "All my life, I've always been fascinated by chameleons and how they can blend into the environment. When I was taken in by the Sheikah and saw they had a few pet chameleons, I wanted to blend in just like them. So I studied for a long time until I mastered the ability to blend my body into the environment. Paya even made me special Sheikah clothing that can blend in with me."
"So you can blend into the environment just like a chameleon?"
"Yes." Ilia smiled.
"That's cool!" Weiss smiled. "...By the way, I'm… sorry about your family and your girlfriend."
"Don't be. It's my burden to bear… but I think I should be alright now that he's dead." Ilia said. "I do have my own weapon, but it wouldn't be as effective against him."
She pulled out her weapon. "I call it Lightning Lash. It was an ordinary blade whip at first, but I infused some topaz in it and now it's able to electrocute anyone if it hits them."
"Soooo… why wouldn't it work on him?"
"I tried it on him once. He was immune to electricity."
"...That's a thing?"
"Apparently so."
Ilia stood up. "Thanks for the help, Weiss. I should… go home and explain everything."
"I have a feeling Impa will be understanding."
"Yeah." Ilia nodded and then walked off while Weiss turned her head to see the heirloom in question.
"Huh… an orb?" She wondered as she picked it up, then saw the Shrine pedestal near her as it had a slot in the middle. She curiously put it inside… which immediately caused a small earthquake and a shrine rose up in front of her.
"Well, I'll be darned." Weiss said as she walked inside after activating it.
BGM: Shrine
Once Weiss stepped out, she would immediately see it was a straight bee line to the shrine, along with a treasure chest in the middle. "...What the…?"
"To you who sets foot in this shrine… I am Lakna Rokee. By entering this place, you've already proven your worth."
Lakna Rokee's Blessing
"I… guess I already did that trial." She shrugged as she walked over to the chest, opening it up to find an Edge of Duality. "Oooh, this might be handy." She said and put it into her bag and walked over to the shrine, getting rid of the barrier by touching it.
"You have done well to arrive at this shrine. A hero rises to right the wrongs of Hyrule. In the name of Goddess Hylia, I bestow upon you this Spirit Orb."
When Weiss got the Spirit Orb, she was transported out of the shrine.
End BGM
She walked over to the Blademaster, picking up the Windcleaver and storing it away. "Alright, I should check up on Ilia and-"
"Hey!"
Weiss looked around. "Huh? Who said that?" She wondered.
"Hey!"
"Where are you?" She wondered as she kept looking around until a small fairy appeared in her vision. "Oh!"
"Come with me!" The fairy whispered and flew off as Weiss followed it, where she would stumble upon the Great Fairy Fountain.
BGM: Great Fairy Fountain (The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild)
"Cotera! I brought her here!"
"Come closer, child…"
Weiss walked over to the bud and walked up the stairs… when suddenly, a Great Fairy burst through the flower bud. "Whoa!"
"Ahahahaha! Oh, aren't you a cute little specimen~!" The Great Fairy giggled. "I am Cotera, one of the four who resides in Hyrule."
"Um… hi there…!" She said. …Goodness, she's hardly wearing anything!
"Hmhmhmhm~ I have something that could help you out in your journey." She said softly as she blew some magic into her.
"Wah…! …Oh…"
"Your clothing is now more durable, so now you'll take less damage than before."
"I… see."
"Oh, and your magical prowess has grown slightly, so now you can use more magic without wearing yourself out."
"Thank you…?" She wondered, unaware of four fairies sneaking into her bag to store themselves inside.
"Take care now, child! Say hello to my sisters for meeee!" She said as she went back into the flower.
End BGM
"Okay… that was… interesting." She said as she walked away and headed back to Impa's home.
BGM: Kakariko Village
Weiss walked inside as Paya and Impa hugged Ilia close. "So, I assume she told you?"
"She did. Oh, I'm so happy she's alright!" Paya smiled.
"You're not mad?"
"They said that they're proud that I set my foot down and stood up to that jerk." Ilia smiled.
"Oh good!" Weiss smiled.
"While it is a shame that those Yiga used her as a spy, I'm willing to overlook that." Impa said. "Now then, I assume Purah gave you everything?"
"Yeah, including this camera thing…"
"Ah, have you looked into it yet?"
"Not really." Weiss said.
"Look into those." Impa requested as she looked into her Sheikah Slate while Impa went upstairs to retrieve something, asking Paya to help her.
"Huh? I don't remember taking these…" She said as she looked at some photos.
The pictures included:
A fountain that was in front of Hyrule Castle
A swamp with the Dueling Peaks in the background
A mountain that had a shrine and Vah Medoh in the sky
An oasis
A rocky area near Death Mountain
A big tree in front of Hyrule Castle
A tree in front of the Bridge of Hylia, not to mention it was gloomy
The west wing of Hyrule Castle
A small pond with a Hylia Statue
A horse statue
A pathway leading to Mount Lanayru
And a dark forest
"Those are some interesting photos…" Ilia mused.
"Yeah." Weiss nodded. "Wonder what they mean…" She wondered as her Sheikah Slate beeped as it switched over to her summons… where they would see Ilia being added in.
"Uh… what's that?" Ilia asked.
"Summons. Apparently I can summon you if I need you for something."
"Really?" Ilia wondered before smiling. "I'll do what I can to help you when you call me."
"Have you looked at those photos?" Impa asked as she approached with a portrait while Paya came down with a treasure chest.
"Yeah… what are they?"
"Core memories that Ruby had taken. She felt that these would be the key to help you regain your lost memories."
"I… see." Weiss nodded. "So what's in the chest?"
"Ah, that?" Impa turned to the chest. "That item in that chest is a sacred item blessed by Hylia. Many Sheikah have perished to retrieve this item that was locked up in Hyrule Castle."
"They perished…?"
"It was easy to get in, but a nightmare to get out. Many Sheikah played a game called "Hot Potato" with this sacred item before they got obliterated by Guardians. The last Sheikah in that party succumbed to his injuries the moment he delivered this at our doorstep."
"Oh…"
"Open the chest."
BGM: Temple of Time (The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time)
Weiss slowly opened the chest, her eyes glimmering in awe at the sight of the item.
"Wear this with pride and with honor."
Weiss slowly pulled out a shield… with it being none other than the Hylian Shield itself. She strapped it to her back.
"I will."

"Now then, speaking of memories… perhaps this photo will help jog your memory a bit? I've held this for so long to help me remember the good ol' days." Impa said.
Weiss looked at the photo, seeing three ladies posing for the picture. She saw herself, the princess and a young lady in the middle, all of them smiling.
"What…?" Weiss wondered as she narrowed her eyes, before she gasped.
Flashback!
BGM: Romp Across the Battlefield (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)
"Haaaah!" Weiss cried, summoning ice around her and shot them toward Impa, who quickly slashed through them with her sword and then made some handsigns to where she made clones of herself as they all charged at her.
Weiss put her hand on the ground as fire surrounded her and unleashed an inferno toward them, but they all got out of the way as the clones all slashed through her. "Agh!" She grunted as she stomped on the ground as a pillar of rock struck Impa and knocked her in the air, but she threw some kunai down to surround Weiss, where they started to light up.
The tags on the kunai exploded, but Weiss had put up a reflective ice barrier to protect herself, which the barrier shattered… and then Impa landed on top of her and placed a kunai on her neck.

Impa smiled. "Looks like I win~!" She said, jumping off and helping Weiss up. "I have to say, you always manage to keep me on my toes."
"Same to you." Weiss smiled while nearby, Ruby sat on a rock while munching on cookies.
"Both of you are great!" Ruby smiled as she hopped off and approached the duo to hug them both. "My bestie, my best Mage Knight… what more can a princess ask for?" She giggled.
"If you two are done squabbling-" A voice said as they saw Purah approaching them. "I just got this feature all finalized!"
"You did?" Impa asked.
"Yeah, it takes still life pictures! Come on, let's do a test drive on it with you three!"
"...That's not gonna do something weird, isn't it?" Weiss asked.
"Naaah, not gonna happen! …As far as I know. Eh, if it starts to malfunction, we can have Robbie take care of it." Purah shrugged it off. "Now then, gather around!"
The trio nodded as they got together, the three smiling while posing.
"Smile and say Lon Lon Milk~!"

Weiss opened her eyes. "...Oh my Hylia…"
"You remembered something?"
"Impa… you… you aged horribly!"
SMACK!
"Ow!" Weiss yelped, rubbing her head as Impa had smacked her with a staff.
"I believe the words you were looking for are "Aged gracefully"."
"Who.. was that woman who took our picture?"
"That would be Purah."
"Wait… THAT was Purah?! But she was so small when I met her."
"Oh? So she went through with that experiment, I see…"
"What did she do?"
"She didn't tell you? Well, that's just like her. You see, Purah-"
One explanation later…
Knock knock knock!
"Coming~!" Purah opened the door. "Oh hi Weiss-y~!"
"Why didn't you tell me you were drop dead gorgeous back then?!"
"Huh?!"
Gorgeous in Age of Calamity, beautiful as heck in ToTK. Though, I was one of the normal folks who didn't thirst after Purah...
