Chapter 15: Intensity

Tori's obsession with Jade was like a flame burning steadily in the depths of her being, casting both warmth and shadows across her thoughts. From the moment they crossed paths, Jade West became the focal point of Tori's world, an enigmatic force she couldn't escape or ignore.

It started innocently enough, with Tori being captivated by Jade's mysterious allure and unconventional charm. But as they spent more time together, Tori found herself falling deeper into the vortex of her obsession. Every sarcastic quip, every smoldering glance, and every hint of vulnerability from Jade fueled Tori's fascination.

Jade's presence lingered in Tori's mind, a constant hum that accompanied her throughout the day. Tori would catch herself daydreaming about Jade, replaying their interactions like scenes from a cherished movie. The way Jade's eyes sparkled with mischief, the cadence of her voice, and the subtle quirks that made her uniquely Jade became Tori's preoccupations.

The mere thought of Jade leaving, even for a short while, sent a pang of anxiety through Tori. She craved Jade's attention, her approval, and the magnetic pull that seemed to draw them together. Tori's world orbited around Jade, and she found herself seeking out any opportunity to be close to her.

In the solitude of her thoughts, Tori questioned the intensity of her feelings. Was it mere admiration or something deeper, more profound? Her obsession with Jade became a complex tapestry of emotions, woven with threads of admiration, desire, and an underlying sense of longing.

The soft glow of the room's ambient lights framed Tori and Jade as they sat side by side, ready to embark on another live stream. Tori was feeling an unusual mix of emotions — a whirlwind of excitement and trepidation.

Jade, seemingly oblivious to Tori's internal struggle, tuned her guitar and shot a mischievous grin. "Ready for some girlfriend karaoke, Vega?"

Tori swallowed, her heart beating a little faster. "Yeah, let's do it."

Jade strummed the first chords, and Tori joined in as they began singing a love song, their voices intertwining in a harmony that sent shivers down Tori's spine. As the lyrics unfolded, Tori couldn't help but glance at Jade, truly seeing her for the first time.

In that moment, it hit her like a tidal wave. She wasn't just infatuated or caught up in the excitement of a new friendship. No, Tori Vega was undeniably, irrevocably in love with Jade West.

The realization was both exhilarating and terrifying. Tori felt a mix of joy and fear, her emotions threatening to overflow. As they sang, every shared note felt like a shared secret, and Tori couldn't escape the magnetic pull that Jade exerted on her.

When the song ended, they paused, catching their breath. Tori couldn't bring herself to look directly at Jade, unsure if the revelation would be evident on her face.

Jade broke the silence, her voice low and tinged with a teasing smirk. "Well, that was fun. We should do it again sometime."

Tori managed a weak smile, her heart still racing. "Yeah, definitely."

As the livestream continued, Tori grappled with the tumult of emotions swirling within her. She was in love with Jade West, and it was both the most beautiful and terrifying thing she had ever experienced.

Later that night, when Jade had gone home, Tori bounced around her Hotel room, the excitement practically bubbling out of her as she dialed her sister's number. Shelby picked up after a couple of rings.

"Hey, Shelby! Guess what?" Tori practically squealed into the phone.

"What's got you so hyped up, Tor?" Shelby asked, her voice filled with curiosity.

"I'm in love, Shelby! Like, head over heels, can't-stop-thinking-about-her kind of love," Tori gushed, her words rushing out in a torrent of enthusiasm.

Shelby's laughter came through the phone. "Wow, Tori, that's incredible! Are you serious?"

"It's Jade! You remember Jade, right? The crush of my life?" Tori replied, her excitement contagious even through the phone.

" That's amazing, Tori! That is so fast. Does she feel the same?" Shelby inquired, genuinely thrilled for her sister.

"I Don't know," Tori launched into the story of how their relationship had turned into something much more profound. She described the late-night conversations, the stolen glances, and the butterflies that filled her stomach whenever she thought of Jade.

Shelby listened intently, her support evident in her responses. "Tori, this sounds like the real deal. You have to tell her!"

Tori's eyes widened with excitement. "Oh, Shelby, I can totally see it! Jade and I, are married, with little ones running around. It feels like a dream!"

Shelby laughed, caught up in Tori's contagious enthusiasm. "Well, you better start planning the wedding then. I want to be the maid of honor, of course!"

Tori grinned "Absolutely! And you can be the best aunt ever to our future kids."

The conversation continued with Tori and Shelby discussing imaginary details of Tori's future life with Jade and their hypothetical children.

As Tori hung up, she felt a surge of joy and excitement. Shelby's support and the shared fantasies had fueled her delusion, leaving her on cloud nine. Little did Shelby know that the love story she'd just heard was a carefully crafted illusion, a performance that Tori had to maintain for the world to see.

Determined to explore what this was within her, Tori planned an evening out. On a crisp Friday evening, Tori suggested a change of pace for their date, aiming for a more relaxed yet charming experience. Jade, intrigued by Tori's proposal, welcomed the idea with a nod.

Tori, dressed in a stylish but casual ensemble, arrived at Jade's apartment with a warm smile. "Hey, Jade! How about we switch things up a bit tonight?"

Jade, wearing her usual black attire with a hint of understated elegance, smirked. "Lead the way, Vega."

Tori decided to take Jade to a nearby art gallery, considering Jade's appreciation for creativity. The gallery showcased local artists, and Tori enthusiastically shared her interpretations of the paintings and sculptures. Jade, typically reserved, found herself captivated by Tori's vivid descriptions.

Following the gallery visit, they headed to a cozy cafe tucked away in a quiet corner of the city. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the soft glow of fairy lights created a warm and inviting atmosphere. Tori ordered their favorite drinks, and they found a secluded corner to chat.

As they sipped their drinks, Tori, with genuine curiosity, asked, "Jade, what's it really like in the entertainment industry? I mean, I hear stories, but I'd love to hear your perspective."

Jade, initially taken aback by Tori's directness, raised an eyebrow. "You sure you want to know? It's not all glitz and glamor."

Tori chuckled. "I can handle it. Lay it on me."

Jade took a sip of her coffee, collecting her thoughts. "Well, auditions are like entering a lion's den. You're judged not just on your talent but also on how well you fit the director's vision. And rejection? It's a constant companion."

Tori nodded, absorbing Jade's words. "That sounds tough. How do you deal with it?"

Jade shrugged, a hint of vulnerability in her eyes. "You toughen up. Develop a thick skin. But it's not just about the auditions. It's navigating the politics, the expectations, the constant scrutiny. People think they know you based on what they see on screen."

Tori frowned, empathizing with Jade's struggle. "That must be so frustrating. Do you ever get a break?"

Jade smirked, a wry smile playing on her lips. "Breaks are rare. It's a rollercoaster – highs when you land a great role, lows when the industry chews you up and spits you out. But you keep going, hoping for that one breakthrough."

Tori reached across the table, her hand covering Jade's. "I appreciate you sharing this with me. It can't be easy."

Jade gave a small, appreciative nod. "Not many bother to ask. They see the fame, not the journey. But enough about me. What about you?"

Tori lit up and talked about becoming a streamer being an accident. She was depressed and needed something productive to do. "And Makeup is a lot of fun you know?"

"And now you sing…" Jade said. "You can do a singing makeup session."

"They really love it when you sing with me though," Tori said with a shy smile. "I don't want this night to be over…"

"Well, let's keep going then," Jade said. The two went on a walk through a nearby park adorned with fairy lights. The city skyline served as a backdrop, creating a magical ambiance. They strolled hand in hand, enjoying the simple pleasure of each other's company.

The night concluded with Tori and Jade discovering a food truck serving delectable street food. Sitting on a bench, they shared a meal, exchanging stories and creating new memories. The simplicity of the evening allowed Jade to reminisce about her own journey, and Tori cherished the opportunity to connect on a deeper level.

At Tori's prompting, The two women found themselves sat a club. Tori plaid the entry. Purchased cocktails and danced with abandon, with Jade's ever-watchful eye over her. Jade was still not much of a nightclub person. Considering the last time she had grazed the door of a place like this, she had a panic attack. But it was different with Tori. She was uninhibited and free. She made her smile. So she watched to make sure she was safe. She drank a bit, danced a lot, and felt every touch the Latina languished on her. Her body was a tingle with the contact.

The pulsating beats of the nightclub found the women in a moment that defied the boundaries of friendship. A camera flashed, capturing their glamorous facade for the world to see, Tori felt a surge of boldness, an impulsive desire that couldn't be contained.

In an unexpected move, Tori leaned in, her lips meeting Jade's in a soft, lingering kiss. The atmosphere around them seemed to pause, a collective gasp echoing in the air. To Tori's surprise, Jade responded to the kiss, and what started as a spontaneous act became an exploration of uncharted territory.

The energy between them became palpable, charged with a blend of anticipation and longing. Tori, swept up in the enchanting night and fueled by a bit of liquid courage, felt an unspoken connection with Jade that transcended the boundaries of friendship.

Leaving the watchful eyes of the public behind, Tori and Jade retreated to the intimate ambiance of Jade's home. Behind closed doors, the atmosphere shifted, and the external world faded away as they stepped into a more private realm. Thoughts of Her celibacy out of the window Jade responded, her skin aflame with the thoughts of loving Tori.

The sound of smacking lips and soft sighs is accentuated by the sound of Sinjin's C-pap machine. Jade paused, "Maybe we…" Jade started and Tori stopped her by kissing her deeply.

"No… no… please don't back out," Tori begged. "I want you so badly… He knows I'm your girlfriend. He will be okay. Tori attached her lips to the base of her neck. And Jade really didn't have a clear head. "Don't you want me?" Tori whispered in her ear.

Jade did, and she pulled away trying to clear her head. Tori stepped back toward Jade's bedroom. With each step, she began to remove her clothes. Jade bit her lip and watched as the Latina, turned to face her door in just her pants as she had taken off her shirt and bra. She began to move forward. "Fuck it."

In the warmth of Jade's bedroom, passion took over. Tori and Jade, entwined in each other's arms, explored the depths of desire that had been smoldering beneath the surface. The night unfolded in a cascade of stolen kisses, whispered confessions, and a reunion that broke the silence of Jade's celibacy. As the city slept, Tori and Jade found solace in each other, the enchantment of the night extending into the quiet hours before dawn.

In the hushed aftermath of shared intimacy, Tori lay beside Jade, her breaths still slightly uneven. The room was filled with a gentle glow, a testament to the connection that had just unfolded between them. Tori, overwhelmed by the vulnerability of the moment, couldn't hold back the words that had been echoing in her mind.

"I love you, Jade," she whispered her voice a delicate melody that hung in the air.

Jade, who had been tracing invisible patterns on the sheets, flinched at the weight of those three words. It was as if the universe had shifted, and a new reality unfolded. The room felt both charged and fragile, the air thick with unspoken emotions.

For a moment, Jade remained silent, her gaze fixed on a point somewhere in the distance. Tori's heart raced as she waited for a response, the vulnerability of her confession laying bare.

"I... I need some time," Jade finally spoke, her voice carrying a hint of uncertainty. "This is... new for me, Tori."

Tori's heart sank at the hesitation in Jade's words, but she nodded, understanding that this journey was uncharted territory for both of them.

"I got a job," Jade continued, shifting the conversation. "I have to leave for a week. It's a chance to think, to process everything."

The weight of Jade's decision lingered in the room, creating a sense of impending change. Tori, though disappointed, respected Jade's need for space.

"I'll miss you," Tori admitted, her voice a mix of sincerity and longing.

Jade turned to look at Tori, her eyes holding a complexity of emotions. "I'll miss you too," she responded, her tone softening the edges of the uncertainty that hung in the air.

As the minutes ticked away, the room became a silent witness to the intricate dance of emotions between Tori and Jade. The unspoken promise of what might be lingered, and the week ahead loomed with the anticipation of self-discovery and introspection. For now, in the quiet aftermath of shared vulnerability, Tori and Jade navigated the delicate balance between connection and the need for space.
