"Good morning class, before I introduce our new student is there anyone- other than Tsukumo Yuuma, that is not here?" Mr. Kinato asks the class, as I stand beside his desk. 'I wish Anna was here, she is at least better with people than I am,' I think to myself as I brush a strand of my pink hair from my eyes, when the door suddenly slams open, and a black-haired boy runs into the classroom.
"Sorry I'm late teach!" the boy yells out, 'This must be Tsukumo Yuuma, who Mr. Kinato mentioned.' The boy runs and sits next to a girl with green hair. He looks at me, 'the enthusiasm is kind of cute,' I think as I feel my cheeks start to heat up, "Hey Kotori? Whose the pink-haired guy?" he loudly asks the girl sitting beside him.
"If you would have been here on time, you would know Yuuma. Mr. Kinato, was about to introduce him before you loudly ran in, so be quiet," she tells him with a glare, before looking back at us, "I apologize for Yuuma, he was dropped on his head as a child. He was probably dropped on his head yesterday too, I am sure."
"As I was saying before I was interrupted by Mr. Tsukumo's entrance; I would like to introduce you all to our newest student," Mr. Kinato tells my classmates, mainly looking in Yuuma direction, 'please do not sit me next to him, he is to loud,' I internally cry to myself. "This is Kozuki Mihael, and for all of those who recognize the name, his sister Kozuki Anna was a student here last year," he tells them, and they all stare at me, 'Technically adopted sister, and didn't she also almost blow up a part of the school last year?' I ask myself trying to remember the reason she was home-schooled with me the last part of the year.
Mr. Kinato motions for me to step forward and introduce myself, 'torture'. "Um... hello, my is Kozuki Mihael. It... it is quite lovely to meet you all," I say tilting my head, letting strands of my hair fall in front of my emerald eyes, as my cheeks begin to heat up again from all the attention. Which gets me a few awes from the girls in the class, and that causes me to gain glares from many of the boys.
"Mr. Kozuki, who don't you tell everyone a little bit about yourself," Mr. Kinato urges, maybe you might find someone that you share some interest with." I nod and turn to look back at the class.
"Uh... I love history and studying artifacts with my mother, also I love going to museums and getting to learn more about the different civilizations and their customs," I tell the class and no many of them seem to interested, 'first day of school and you already geeked out about museums'. "I also love dueling, I recently go myself a new Xyz monster," I tell the class and that finally gets everyone's interest. 'Anna did tell me that this school is big on dueling.' I think to myself, as I hear someone's declaration.
"I challenge you to a duel!" a voice yells out, and I look over and notice Tsukumo Yuuma standing up pointing at me, while many of our classmates roll their eyes, 'is he not good or something?' I ask myself, and I am answered seconds later by a bigger classmate noticing my confused look, telling me he isn't the best duelist. Yuuma ignoring the statement, still staring directly at me, "Me and you, new guy!"
Mr. Kinato looks down at his watch, "I think we have a bit of time for a duel, only if that is find with you Mr. Kozuki?" our teacher asks me, and I trap my deck holster that is attached to my pink suspenders that I am wearing, and I nod agreeing to the duel. "Then let's have our lesson outside today class," Mr. Kinato says to us before leading outside.
We both step on two different sides of the make-shift dueling arena, "Since you were the one challenged Mr. Kozuki, you have the choice of who goes first," Mr. Kinato tells me and I nod.
"You can go first Yuuma," I tell him and we both activate our D-Pads, "Show me your strength!" I declare as the a dueling tattoo covers my left eyes.
"I'm feeling the flow!" Yuuma yells out throwing on his duel gazer on, "Wow! How'd you get that?" he asks me pointing at his on eye. "I thought only some of the pros like Quattro Arclight had those!" he yells out, making my jaw clench at the name. 'Great no matter where I go, I still have to hear about that damn family who abandoned me,' I curse thinking of my older brothers, but I chose to ignore the question.
Duel
Turn 1- Yuuma
Tsukumo Yuuma- 4000 Life Points x6
Kozuki Mihael- 4000 Life Points x5
"I'm going first! I draw!" Yuuma exclaims as he draws his card, 'Does he have to yell out everything?' I think to myself as I roll my eyes, still feeling angry at the mention of my brother. "I summon Gogogo Golem! Come on out big guy!"
Gogogo Golem- Attack: 1800 Defense: 1500 (Level 4/Earth/Rock)
Once per turn, this Defense Position card cannot be destroyed by battle.
"Now I put one card face-down and end my turn! Let's see you beat over him!" he declares, 'While it does have a decent attack, that effect of his is so much more powerful,' I think as I question his motives, I look at his face-down card, 'Either he set something to power-up his monsters or he just really is not that good at dueling.'
Turn 2 - Mihael
Tsukumo Yuuma- 4000 Life Points x4
Kozuki Mihael- 4000 Life Points x6
"Now it's my draw!" I announce drawing my card, "Perfecto! If you remember when I introduced myself I told everyone about my love for artifacts, history and studying the customs of different cultures right?" I ask him and he looks at me confused.
"Uh... honestly I only heard your name, and that you like to duel,' he tells me as he embarrassingly rubs the back of his head. I shift my eyes to look at my new classmates, 'They dealt with this all their lives? They are stronger than me.'
"Then, I shall teach you to respect others as they speak!" I declare angrily, "Since you control a monster, and I do not I can Special Summon Chronomaly Crystal Bones, Come Forth!"
Chronomaly Crystal Bones- Attack: 1300 Defense: 400 (Level 3/Light/Rock)
If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). When you do: You can Special Summon 1 "Chronomaly" monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "Chronomaly Crystal Bones".
"Now, when Chronomaly Crystal Bones is summoned by it's on effect, I can Special Summon another Chronomaly monster from my hand or Graveyard, Arrive! Chronomaly Cabrera Trebuchet!"

Once per turn: You can Tribute 1 other "Chronomaly" monster, then target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; its Attack becomes 0 until the End Phase.
"Why use does it have in defense?" Yuuma asks me confused, 'So, he really did summon his monster in attack just because of its decent strength.'
"Yuuma! Just because a monster is in Defense Position, doesn't mean you should right it off," the bigger classmate from before says, "It might have a strong effect!"
"What? A strong effect?" Yuma cries out confused, as he looks at my newly summoned monster, 'You have no idea, how powerful this effect is.'
"Excellent reasoning Tetsuo Takeda!" Mr. Kinato congratulates him, "but, I never heard of these kind of monsters before, so I don't know what kind of effects it might have."
"But, I am still not done yet!" I call out making everyone look at me, "I still have yet to Normal Summon! So, Chronomaly Mud Golem, To my side!"
Chronomaly Mud Golem- Attack: 1700 Defense: 1000 (Level 4/Earth/Rock)
If a "Chronomaly" monster you control attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent.
"He summoned three monsters in one turn!" Yuuma yells out watching me in awe, and my cheeks start to heat up again. Before he notices their attack, "But, none of them can destroy my Gogogo Golem!" he cheers.
"That's not all, is it Mr. Tsukumo? Class what else do you notice about Mr. Kozuki's field?" Mr. Kinato asks our fellow classmates, 'He is doing a good job at having his class notice things in a duel.' The green-haired girl, that is friends with Yuma raises her hand, "Yes, Mrs. Mizuki?"
"He now controls two Level 4 monsters, so he is able to Xyz Summon," she answers him, and he nods at her correct answer.
"That would be correct, but I do not own any Rank 4 Xyz Monsters. But, I do have this! I Release Chronomaly Crystal Bones, to activate the effect of Chronomaly Cabrera Trebuchet," I declare, "When I do this, I can target 1 monster my opponent controls and its Attack becomes 0!"
"What!" Yuuma yells
Gogogo Golem- Attack: 1800 → 0 Defense: 1500 (Level 4/Earth/Rock)
"That's better now it's time! Chronomaly Mud Golem! Destroy his monster!" I command

"Now to follow your lead, and put one card face-down and end my turn," I announce. 'This duel ends on my next turn.'

Kozuki Mihael- 4000 Life Points x2
Turn 3- Yuuma
Tsukumo Yuuma- 2300 Life Points x5

"It's my turn and I'm feeling the flow!" Yuuma declares drawing his card, "I summon Gagaga Magician!"

Once per turn: You can declare a Level from 1 to 8; this card becomes that Level until the End Phase. You can only control 1 "Gagaga Magician".

Gagaga Magician- Attack: 2000 → 3000 Defense: 1000 (Level 4/Dark/Spellcaster)
'Hmm looks like I was run, he fell right into my trap,' I think with a smirk, "Gotcha! I activate my face-down card Trap Hole of Spikes!"
Trap Hole with Spikes- (Normal Trap)
When an opponent's monster that was Normal or Special Summoned this turn declares an attack: Destroy that attacking monster, and if you do, inflict damage to your opponent equal to half the original Attack of that monster.
"Wha...what!?" Yuuma yells out, "What does that card do?" he yells.
"It destroys a monster you summoned this turn when it declares an attack, and you take damage equal to half of its original attack," I inform him and his monster shatters.
Tsukumo Yuuma- 2300 → 1550 Life Points x3
Kozuki Mihael- 4000 Life Points x2
"I... I..." Yuma starts to say looking defeated, which is true. "I end my turn."
"Poor Yuma, this was a one-sided fight from the start," Kotori says sadly looking at her friend. "
"Yuuma," I call out to him, he looks over at me, "I am about to hit you with a hard truth. If you have dreams of being a Pro Duelist, like I do. Then, you need to learn that while having monsters with high Attack is great. There are monsters that true strength come from their effects. Now it's time to end this duel."
Turn 4: Mihael
Tsukumo Yuuma- 1550 Life Points x3
Kozuki Mihael- 4000 Life Points x3
"My turn," I say drawing my last card, "finish this duel! Attack Chronomaly Mud Golem!" my monster slashes sending Yuuma to the ground.
Tsukumo Yuuma- 1550 → 0 Life Points x3
Kozuki Mihael- 4000 Life Points x3
Duel End: Winner Kozuki Mihael
Kotori runs towards Yuuma and helps him up, I was about to say something when I see two figures, standing on a roof not to far in the distance watching us.
Mr. Kinato clears his throat making me look back at him. "So, class what have we learned today?" he asks us and a blue haired boy raises his hand, "yes, Takashi Todoroki?"
"Like Mihael said, attack points are important. But-" I tune him out and turn to look back towards the roof and both of the figures are gone. I start to look around but I don't see them anywhere, 'I wonder who they are?' I ask myself.
Before I follow my class back inside the school, not noticing the light green symbol that appears on my right hand that fades away seconds later.
