Summary:
The disparity between Hikaru and Hyuga's grades makes Raika's brain ache.
"18…10…What are these scores? How does Hyuga flunk, while Hikaru gets 100 on everything?"
It was the first Raika had seen this much red during her stint in the education system, and to be forthright, she got paranoid about her own school performance, merely comparing Hyuga and Hikaru's past tests.
"Look at it this way: At least Hyuga's happy, pu!"
Hyuga stood his page up for his friends. "I drew a cat! He has Honcho's face!"
What cat had whose face was beside the point.
"Where's Hikaru? Maybe a talking-to from his brother will get through to him!"
"Hikaru is studying, if I'm not mistaken," Gun updated Raika. "Last I checked, he already read Steve Jobs' biography, and finished half a book on Abraham Lincoln!"
"Hyuga! Hikaru's able to train his mind and his Beyblade skills! You should follow suit!"
"Hikaru's suits don't fit me!"
"I mean read a book once in a while!"
"Books are BORING!" Hyuga laid himself out on the floor. "I get sleepy just reading the titles!"
"If it works for Hikaru, why not you?"
"Hikaru's GAY! I'm not."
"What does Hikaru being gay have to do with his grades at school?"
"Hikaru only started getting straight 100s AFTER Aiga promised!"
His brother being gay but getting straight 100s?
"Ehehe!" Hyuga stuck his tongue out at the unintentional pun he made.
"What? What promise?"
"Aiga promised if Hikaru scored 100 four tests in a row, he'd take him on a date!"
"I think Hyuga's telling the truth." Gun flipped through the evidence. "Hikaru was scoring 97…98 on his previous tests. High marks, but not 100 out of 100 until the three most recent tests."
"Why does Aiga care whether Hikaru does well academically?"
Aiga didn't emanate "cares about academics" at all.
"Aiga loves watching Hikaru be smart!"
"Versus you, Hyuga. You're…"
"I'm inspirational!"
Like the word "revolution," Hyuga had no idea what the word actually meant.
"Yeah, yeah…"
"Hikaru's one test away from scoring with Aiga! Way to vroom, bro! I'm gonna draw you as cats with kittens!"
Hyuga.
Hyuga got a 100 for effort.
