"Dad, we're hungry!" Kobe, Phoenix, Ryo, and Tatsu complained the moment Trunks opened the van's door to let Botan, Cora, Natsumi, Seiya, Taiyo, and Katsuki in.
"We're going to meet Grandma and Grandpa at the restaurant shortly. Don't worry; you're not going to starve." Trunks replied as everyone got situated.
"Ok." The boys replied just before Trunks shut the door, not realizing Kohana wasn't in her car seat.
"How are you feeling? Oh." Trunks asked Kori but stopped when he realized she was breastfeeding Kohana.
"Sorry. She was hungry—and all her bottles were empty." Kori guiltily apologized as Trunks got in.
"No, you're fine; you have nothing to be sorry for. I just wasn't expecting you to be breastfeeding. Sorry, that was stupid. I'm not used to someone breastfeeding; you're just fine. Take care of Kohana." Trunks insisted, backing the van up.
"You don't breastfeed? I mean—your girlfriends never breastfed?" Kori awkwardly inquired.
"No. Botan is my first child. His and Cora's mother and I had no clue what we were doing with him, so she only bottle-fed him. She wanted to breastfeed Cora, but unfortunately, she passed away during childbirth. That's a long story for a different day." Trunks started explaining.
"I'm sorry. And I'm sorry for your loss." Kori apologized.
"Thank you. And don't worry about it; what happened wasn't your fault. Hell. We didn't even know each other then. But moving on. With Taiyo and Katsuki's mother—she refused to breastfeed. Again, she's a story for a different day. No apologizing for her—or for the next few. After Taiyo and Katsuki's mother and I broke up, I spiraled downhill, and didn't make the greatest choices when it came to women. Kobe, Phoenix, Ryo, Tatsu, and Miku all have different mothers. Well, being twins, Ryo and Tatsu have the same mother, but that's beside the point."
"Kobe's mother and I had a one-night stand, and she ended up pregnant. Unfortunately, she passed away during childbirth due to a preexisting condition, so there was no chance for breastfeeding there. Phoenix's mother should have never happened; she was off the charts crazy and ended up killing herself a few weeks after he was born. We'll leave it at that. But clearly, she didn't do any breastfeeding. Ryo and Tatsu's mother—I thought she was a good girl. But as it would turn out, she was a criminal; she took Ryo and Tatsu. I didn't get them until they were almost a year and a half after a crap ton of bullshit. So, I don't know if they were breastfed or not. And then, I don't know how, but I know you know Miku's mother, Sora. We just didn't work out. I thought she was a good girl, but I'm starting to second guess that. I only just found out about Miku a week and a half ago when she finally told me."
"As messed up as my life became for a while there, I love my children more than anything—all nine of them. I know I don't know any of you, but I know your children are important to me now as well. And I know you don't know any of us—or are maybe not completely comfortable with all this yet; I hope you'll love all of my kids like you love yours." Trunks vaguely went over his children's mothers before becoming sincere.
"Yes, I understand that. I know I shouldn't because I shouldn't even have half of them, but I love my children more than anything—even Kenichi. I know I don't know him because they took him, but I do know I love him. But uhh… I'm sure I'll love you and your children as well." Kori emotionally replied with a small smile.
"Here we are. Let's see… Yep. There they are." Trunks spotted his parents when he pulled into the parking lot of a buffet restaurant.
"Will they let Mama feed Kohana in the restaurant?" Yusuke questioned, curious.
"I think she's done for now." Kori softly replied when Kohana stopped feeding.
"Even if she hadn't been done, we have a private area. Yes, your mama would still be able to feed your sister if she needed." Trunks answered, looking for a parking spot.
"Oh, good." Yusuke replied, running his hand over his forehead with a smile.
"He's a character." Trunks told Kori, chuckling a little.
"He is. But he's a big help—or he tries to be. He likes to try holding Kohana's head still while she eats." Kori told Trunks with a small smile.
'I understand why she doesn't, but I wish she'd smile more.' Trunks thought to himself, watching Kori maneuver Kohana.
Knock. Knock.
"Nice van." Vegeta told Trunks after he rolled the window down.
"I thought so. It works for us." Trunks replied, unbuckling.
"So, that must be your new mate." Vegeta noted, looking past Trunks at Kori.
"Yeah. I'll introduce everyone once we're outside. Give us a few minutes." Trunks replied before rolling up his window.
"Wait here; I'll get Kohana's car seat. Or if you'd prefer, I can meet you on your side and take her so you can get out." Trunks instructed, opening his door.
"Whatever works best." Kori softly replied. She was nervous, and Trunks could tell.
"Trunks." Bulma greeted Trunks with a serious look in her eyes.
"What is it, Mom?" Trunks questioned, walking around the front of the van.
"A new girlfriend—with her own kids? Is that wise right now?" Bulma questioned, following Trunks.
"Clearly Fate and the ones who brought us here thought so. They're the ones who set us up together." Trunks answered.
"Are you sure it wasn't just because they needed a home?" Bulma questioned, sounding suspicious.
"Regardless of the reason, Trunks has no control of who he's meant to be with. You know this; we've been over this multiple times before." Vegeta sternly told Bulma.
"Stay out of this. This is our son's future we're talking about." Bulma growled at Vegeta.
"If you keep this up, he may kick us out of his and his children's lives again." Vegeta muttered.
"Vegeta…" "Mom, stop. Dad's right: if you keep pushing, I won't hesitate to put you at arm's length. I get what you're saying, I do. But this isn't like that. Kori and her kids aren't like that. They may not have liked the situation they were in, but they knew at least they had a roof over their heads. Kori and her children were only at the housing place because she got a call from who she thought was Mr. Caper, asking her to come in, saying they had a home for her. Mr. Caper had no idea what she was talking about even though she had a voicemail. I think it was the ones who brought us here who contacted her. Clearly, they knew we were meant to be together. I don't know what it is exactly, but I feel something toward Kori and her children that I never felt with Mai, Hoshiko, or Sora. I certainly never felt this way for Momo, Rose, or Kayda. Regardless of how you feel, my kids and I are going to be with Kori and her kids—and they're going to be part of our lives for as long as we're meant to be together. If you have a problem with that, you can go home now. Mom, I love you and I always will. But please, just back off. Just meet her and her children and you can make whatever decision it is you're going to make. Either way: like it or not, they're part of my family now." Trunks firmly interrupted his mother, shocking her.
"Sorry." Bulma muttered an apology, not wanting to lose her son and grandchildren again.
"Sorry about that. I was kind of explaining to my parents how we met." Trunks apologized to Kori after opening her door.
"It's ok." Kori softly replied, unbuckling.
"Do you want me to take Kohana for you?" Trunks inquired, watching Kori.
"Yes, please." Kori softly replied, carefully handing him her daughter.
"Ok… I think that's everyone." Trunks spoke before closing the van up.
"Hi, you must be Kori; I'm Bulma—Trunks's mother." Bulma greeted Kori.
"Yes, I'm Kori. It's a pleasure to meet you." Kori softly replied.
"Kori, kids: these are my parents, Bulma and Vegeta. Mom, Dad: this is my new girlfriend, Kori, and these are her children. I will let Kori introduce you to her children." Trunks calmly introduced his parents to Kori and her children.
"Natsumi is twelve. Seiya is ten. Akimi is nine. Fuyumi is seven. Harumi is six. Yusuke is four. Shoku and Sakura are two. And Kohana is six months." Kori softly introduced her children to Bulma and Vegeta.
"It's very nice to meet you." Natsumi, Seiya, Akimi, Fuyumi, and Harumi politely greeted Bulma and Vegeta. At the same time, Yusuke, Shoku, and Sakura shyly hid behind Kori as Kohana slept.
"Well, it's nice to meet you as well. You're all very polite." Bulma replied, stunned.
"You don't look that old." Vegeta bluntly spoke.
"Dad!" "Vegeta!" Trunks and Bulma scolded Vegeta.
"What? I'm just pointing out that she doesn't look old enough to have nine children. And don't you "Vegeta" me; you were thinking it too." Vegeta defended himself before speaking to Bulma.
"I wasn't going to say anything. Trunks isn't that old either; he's a teen parent too. And he had children like they were going out of style." Bulma absentmindedly retorted.
"Nice." Trunks groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Trunks, I'm sorry; I didn't mean that in a bad way. I love all my grandbabies just the same. And I don't mean to insinuate that you popped children out like daisies." Bulma quickly apologized.
"It's ok. I know I'm not that old; I'm only twenty-five." Kori softly responded to Bulma, trying not to look down.
"Well, let's go eat before we're too late." Trunks insisted, watching his shocked parents.
"Come on, Mom." Natsumi and Seiya insisted, following Trunks and the others.
"Food!" Cora, Taiyo, Akimi, Kobe, Phoenix, Yusuke, and Tatsu excitedly yelled, running between Trunks and Kori.
"Briefs and company?" A man greeted the family when they walked through the door.
"Is it that obvious?" Taiyo questioned, stunned, making the greeter chuckle a little.
"We've been waiting for you." The greeter politely responded, gesturing with his hand to follow him.
"Come along. And behave." Trunks instructed his family, having Kori lead the way.
"Would you like any highchairs or booster seats?" The greeter inquired once they made it to an area held for parties.
"I think I need three." Kori softly spoke up.
"Can we get six booster seats, please?" Trunks requested, watching the greeter.
"I'll have those to you shortly. Food is to the right and straight back. Drinks are to the right, just before the food. Please, help yourselves." The greeter informed everyone, pointing in their desired direction before walking away.
"That's weird." Natsumi spoke, confused.
"What is?" Akimi questioned, confused.
"I know we've never been out to eat before, but don't you have to pay at a buffet for we get to eat?" Natsumi questioned, confused.
"I already paid for us. Don't you worry about any of that. Go get food. Just make sure to come back here. Kori, if you want to get food, I can stay back and watch the babies." Trunks insisted, watching Kori.
"Come on; we'll show you how it works." Botan and Cora insisted as the rest of their siblings rushed ahead.
"Ok." Kori softly replied, following Botan, Cora, Natsumi, and Seiya, with the younger kids staying close.
"There is no way she's only twenty-five—not with that many children." Bulma spoke up as soon as Kori and her kids were out of earshot.
"I talked to Natsumi; she confirms that Kori is only twenty-five after she asked how old I thought they were." Trunks responded, annoyed.
"What kind of parents let their thirteen become pregnant and have a baby?" Bulma questioned, disgusted.
"The abusive and neglective mother and the sexually abusive stepfather, and the father who knew nothing until it was too late." Trunks answered with a deep huff.
"Excuse me?" Vegeta questioned, stunned.
"From what I was told—and yes, I believe them—Kori's parents weren't together, and the mother kept her away from her father and older brothers. Her stepfather was sexually abusing her from a young age, but she never said anything for fear nobody would believe her because he would tell the police she was lying. What I understand is that she believes her dad and older brothers are dead. And as for her having Natsumi at thirteen; she's not the oldest. Kori had her first child—a son—at twelve. Her mom and stepdad took that child and sold her to the highest bidder, and she went from guy to guy, forced to have sex and children. That's all I can tell you because it's far more than I should be telling you. That being said: you say NOTHING to any of them unless they for some reason say something first. If either of you say anything, that will be one strike, and you won't see any of us for a few months. I only said anything to you so you wouldn't say anything to them." Trunks explained and then sternly warned his parents—mainly his mother. He could tell Vegeta didn't care in the sense that he knew his son and grandchildren loved Kori and her kids.
"I understand." Bulma replied.
"I'm going to get food." Vegeta told Trunks and Bulma after seeing Seiya, Cora, Taiyo, Katsuki, Akimi, Fuyumi, and Harumi walking back.
"Where are the others?" Bulma asked right away.
"Mom, Botan, and Natsumi were helping Shoku, Sakura, Ryo, Tatsu, Phoenix, Yusuke, and Kobe get their food and drinks." Seiya answered Bulma, setting a few plates of food on the table before helping Harumi into the booth.
"Didn't you want anything to drink?" Trunks asked, looking at Taiyo and Katsuki.
"Kori said she'd bring us our drinks." Taiyo answered with a smile.
"Boys…" "Don't worry about it, Mr. Trunks. Mom offered to bring our drinks for us. Including Katsuki, some of us couldn't reach the drink station. We have a system: Cora and I brought food for us, Fuyumi and Harumi, and Fuyumi and Harumi brought our drinks. Akimi being Akimi, wanted to bring her own food and drink. But Mom saw that Katsuki and Taiyo both had two plates of food, so she insisted she bring their drinks even though Katsuki offered. When Mom insists, she doesn't back down so easily; she likes to help and please people." Seiya calmly explained, interrupting Trunks.
"We're back!" Trunks heard Phoenix and Tatsu happily announce, walking over with Kori, Botan, Natsumi, and the rest of the younger kids.
Trunks nearly fell over when he saw Kori carrying several drinks and two plates of food.
"She insisted." Botan told Trunks after seeing his face.
"Kori is amazing, Daddy! She can carry lots of things." Phoenix happily declared.
"Here, let me help you. Who do these belong to?" Trunks insisted before asking as he took the plates of food from Kori.
"Shoku and Sakura." Kori answered.
"They would only let Mom carry their things." Natsumi answered, setting two plates down.
"I got Natsumi, Phoenix, and my plates while she got Ryo, Tatsu, and Yusuke's plates. Kobe wanted to get his own plate and drink. And Kori insisted on getting the drinks." Botan explained, watching Trunks.
"Ok. Did you get yourself something to eat?" Trunks asked Kori as she handed everyone their drinks.
"I'm not really hungry." Kori softly spoke.
"Uh-huh." Trunks responded, not believing her.
"Mom, go get food. I can watch the younger kids." Natsumi firmly insisted, watching her mother.
"I can as well." Botan, Seiya, and Cora insisted, watching Kori.
"Come on. They'll be fine for a few minutes." Trunks insisted, taking Kori's hand.
"Go." Natsumi firmly ordered.
"You have some very mature kids for their ages." Bulma told Kori as they walked to the food.
"Thank you." Kori softly thanked Bulma.
"Did you leave the kids unsupervised?" Vegeta questioned, bumping into Trunks, Kori, and Bulma.
"No. Come on; you need food too. We didn't leave them unattended per se. Botan, Natsumi, Seiya, and Cora are watching the younger kids." Trunks stopped Kori from rushing back to the kids before informing Vegeta.
"I'll keep an eye on them." Vegeta informed Trunks and Kori before heading back to their private room.
"Did I do something to upset or make you angry with me?" Kori softly asked Bulma, noticing her staring at her from the other side of a food bar. Trunks was in a different section getting teriyaki chicken, rice, ribs, and other food.
"Why would you ask that?" Bulma questioned, putting chicken on her plate.
"I can feel it radiating off you—and you keep scowling at me." Kori answered, getting a little bit of this and that.
"You didn't do anything—and I'm not angry with you. Honestly, Trunks is my only son, and I just got him back in my life after a few years due to his immaturity and refusal to let me help him when he went through a rough patch. Don't get me wrong; I love him and my grandchildren, but he made plenty of stupid mistakes. I'm not saying you're a mistake or anything along those lines. You seem like a nice girl with great, well-behaved children. But you just met Trunks—not even a few hours ago; neither of you know each other. He just got custody of his youngest child—making his total nine children. And you have nine children of your own. I think it's just too much too fast, and neither of you are ready. If you and your children need help, my husband and I would be willing to help you find a home. I just don't think this is the right time. Do you understand what I'm telling you?" Bulma answered Kori in detail, basically bribing her to leave Trunks and her grandchildren.
"I understand." Trunks spoke, walking over, annoyed.
"Trunks, when did you walk over?" Bulma questioned, stunned.
"About the time I heard you were telling Kori about how nice of a girl she was." Trunks answered with narrowed eyes.
"Is it too soon?" Kori softly questioned, doubting everything that was happening.
"Don't worry about that. If Fate and the ones who brought us here didn't think it was the right time; we wouldn't be moving in together now. If they wanted us together, then that's why we're given this option. As I told Kori earlier, if she wasn't ready to move in with my kids and me, I would let her stay in the current apartment-house I'm renting now; I would continue to pay rent there, no problem. My kids and I want you and your kids with us, but the decision is up to you and your children. If you want to stay, you're welcome to. If you're not ready, my kids and I will be out of that place within the month, and you and your kids can stay there. That's up to you. If we made you feel pressured to stay with us, I'm sorry." Trunks insisted, watching Kori and her body language the entire time.
"Umm… I umm… Can I think about it?" Kori softly requested, becoming overwhelmed.
"Of course. And don't listen to my mother. This is your and your children's decision to make. Come on." Trunks agreed to give Kori time to think about everything before leading her back to their private room.
"Is everything ok?" Natsumi, Seiya, and Botan questioned after seeing Kori's face.
"Yes. I just have a lot on my mind." Kori softly answered.
"What's going on?" Seiya asked, watching his mother.
"I umm… I just want to make sure this is what everyone wants." Kori vaguely explained as she, Trunks, and Bulma sat down.
"What does that mean?" Akimi questioned, confused.
"We just want to make sure you're all really ok with moving in together. Is this too much for you? Would you rather we live as two separate families for a little while? I mean, we'll be together for a few weeks until my kids and I move into the house, but if the rest of you want to stay at that apartment for however long you need; that can be arranged. This was just sprung on all of us. So, if you—any of you need time, we'll understand." Trunks explained to everyone, watching the kids.
"What brought this on all of the sudden? Do you not want Kori and them to live with us anymore?" Cora questioned, confused—along with all the others.
Botan was the only one not confused; he could see Bulma from the corners of his eyes.
"I would love for Kori and her children to live with us. But it's not up to just me; it's up to all of us." Trunks honestly replied.
"Mom, what do you want?" Natsumi questioned, watching Kori.
"I want everyone to be happy and comfortable." Kori answered.
"I say we put it to a vote." Botan spoke up.
"Do we get to vote too?" Phoenix, Ryo, Tatsu, and Yusuke asked.
"Yes. All of us get one vote. Well, all of us except Miku and Kohana; they're only babies." Botan answered his brothers and Yusuke.
"Sounds like a plan. Those who want to live as two families until we get to know each other better, raise your hands." Trunks instructed.
Nobody moved.
"Anyone who wants to live together as one whole family and get to know each other that way, raise your hands." Trunks once again instructed.
All the kids, except for Shoku and Sakura, raised their hands.
"Why didn't Shoku or Sakura vote?" Yusuke asked, confused.
"I don't think they understand what's going on." Kori softly spoke.
"Shoku, Sakura? Do you want to live with Trunks?" Natsumi calmly asked as they climbed onto Kori's lap.
"We want live wit Mommy." Shoku and Sakura answered.
"Oh. Of course, you would be living with me still. We're just asking if you want to live with Trunks and his kids as well as us. Or would you rather just live with us and not them?" Kori gently explained as Shoku and Sakura leaned into her.
"We live wit dem." Shoku and Sakura answered after looking at each other.
"Well, then it's unanimous; we'll all live together as one family. However, we can still figure something out at the new house if that's something you'd all want." Trunks declared, watching as Kori rubbed Shoku and Sakura's backs.
"Excuse me; I need to use the restroom." Bulma excused herself; she was frustrated that Trunks was allowing a bunch of kids to determine who they lived with.
"Don't ruin this for us." Botan spoke, catching up with Bulma.
"Excuse me?" Bulma questioned, turning to face Botan.
"Don't ruin this for us. We like Kori and her kids. They're a little hesitant, but they like us too. And regardless of what you think, this isn't a bad thing; Kori isn't trying to take over as our mother. And even if she were, Cora, Taiyo, Katsuki, and I know better; we knew our mothers. But for Kobe, Phoenix, Ryo, Tatsu, and especially Miku, they could use a mother—even if they don't call her such. We want this." Botan repeated before explaining.
"You don't know what you want; you're only thirteen." Bulma replied but stopped when Botan put his hand up.
"Please don't patronize me. I'm not a small child; I do understand. Just like I understand that Dad truly loves Kori; I can see it in his eyes. It's not like when he was with Hoshiko, Momo, Rose, Kayda, or Sora. And while I know Dad loves me and Cora more than anything—and how much he loved our mother; he didn't love her like he does Kori. Maybe you don't understand because you weren't born a Saiyan—and were already with Grandpa when you were changed into one from a human, but we were born with Saiyan in our blood; we do understand. We want Kori and her children in our lives—in our family. And there is nothing you can say or do to change our minds—or stop this from happening. As much as we love you and would love to have you in our lives, we don't need you or your help. We did just fine without your help before—even though Dad asked for your help, and you refused. Yeah, I remember—all of it. So, please either accept our family, or keep it to yourself if you can't. It's up to you. I'm going back to eat now." Botan firmly told Bulma before walking away before she could say anything else.
Bulma, meanwhile, stood there, too stunned to say anything else.
"Dad—what are you doing here?" Botan asked, stunned when he bumped into Trunks.
"Just came to check things. You're a smart kid; I kind of figured you homed in on what was going on when you came up with the voting idea. While I appreciate you sticking up for the family, I think you should leave your grandmother to me. She'll come around eventually. But I am proud of you nonetheless." Trunks told Botan, leading him back to everyone else.
"And if she doesn't come around? Then what?" Botan questioned.
"Then it's her loss. I would love for her to be part of our family, but if she can't accept everyone, I can't see that happening. Now, let's just try to enjoy what's left of dinner and then we'll go shopping. Tomorrow, I'll take everyone to the house to look around." Trunks answered before changing the subject.
"Ok." Botan replied with a smile.
"Is everything ok?" Kori inquired, concerned.
"Everything is fine. It's nothing for you to be concerned about. Just enjoy your food and then we'll go shopping to everything that's needed. No arguing: I insist. It may be a foreign concept to you, but I'm happy to help you." Trunks insisted, watching Kori.
Just then, Miku started fussing.
"She can't still be hungry. She just went through two and a half bottles." Taiyo announced, stunned.
"She's a baby; they can eat a lot—especially if they haven't been getting what they need." Botan responded, annoyed.
"Umm…" Kori started to speak up when Trunks began to get a bottle ready for Miku.
"Yes?" Trunks inquired, still getting the bottle.
"Would you be opposed to letting me feed her—like Kohana?" Kori carefully requested, shocking Trunks.
"Are you sure about that?" Trunks questioned, watching Kori.
"It's the least I can do with all that you're doing for us. You can still get a bottle ready just in case she rejects me, but it's worth a try." Kori honestly replied.
"Mom doesn't like formulas; she doesn't trust them." Seiya spoke up.
"For good reasons. Knowing what's in them. Not to mention, knowing about that Sleepy whatever formula." Natsumi added, annoyed.
"Happy-Sleepy Time formula? Is that what you're talking about?" Trunks questioned, watching Natsumi.
"That sounds about right. It made a lot of babies sick—and two died a few weeks ago at the shelter." Natsumi answered.
"How do you know of it?" Akimi questioned.
"That's the stuff Sora was giving Miku before I was given custody. Here. You can try if you want." Trunks replied before handing Miku over to Kori.
"Well, would you look at that." Trunks spoke when Kori latched right on.
"What's going on?" Bulma questioned, walking over.
"Kori's feeding Miku with her boobies." Phoenix proudly answered, making Kori blush.
"Don't start. Miku's feeding: that's all that matters to me." Trunks stopped Bulma before she could say anything.
"What do you know about that Happy-Sleepy Time formula?" Botan questioned.
"Umm… I think it was created by a couple who hated babies. Well, that's what I had heard. But it was later confirmed that they wanted the human race to die out in this world. The man was ejected from this world while the wife remains, hiding somewhere. Someone who works for the ones who created this world said they think she's using some kind of cloaking device—or the ones who created this world have a traitor among them." Kori answered, shifting a little.
"How do you know all this?" Bulma questioned, sounding suspicious.
"When we were brought here a few months ago, the ones who brought us here called me a seer. They explained that the dreams I have that come true are called visions or premonitions. The only problem is that I only have these visions or premonitions when I sleep—and I can't control them. They said living in this world, we would be safe, but also that my abilities would awaken more. They want my help finding that lady." Kori answered, feeling a little cornered.
"And have they?" Vegeta inquired, watching Kori.
"I guess so. I mean, I know about them and that formula. I mean, the ones who brought us here knew about the couple and the formula, but not what was in the formula." Kori nervously answered.
"Wait. You know what's in the formula?" Trunks, Bulma, Vegeta, and Botan questioned, making Kori feel even more cornered.
"Sorry. I was going to have Mom test the formula for whatever was in it. But if you already know, that won't be necessary. Her time and resources don't need to be used and can be used on something else. Do the ones who brought us here know about what's in the formula now?" Trunks apologized after seeing Kori's face.
"Yes, they know; I told them. Your mother could test the formula, but she wouldn't be able to find anything. I don't mean to offend anyone, but the ones who brought us here said that several others tested the formula and couldn't find anything. That's why they stopped asking scientists to look. The people who created the formula: they used a flour base with small traces of something called rat poison. They said the rat poison was so minute that it never showed up. And while the ones who brought everyone here are doing their best to make sure there is no more of that formula, the lady must be creating more. That's why there's that recent ban of rat poison." Kori carefully explained.
"Mom, stop staring at Kori like that; you're making her nervous." Trunks scolded Bulma, watching her.
"You're good to go shopping on your own?" Bulma asked Trunks.
"If we have to be." Trunks replied.
"Thanks for dinner. I'm going home. Vegeta, I'll be in the car waiting. It was nice meeting you all." Bulma thanked Trunks, informed everyone, and then excused herself.
"She doesn't like us, does she?" Natsumi questioned once Bulma was gone.
"It's not you she doesn't like. She doesn't like that I'm in a new relationship and that you guys are moving in with us so soon. And I suppose if we were normal humans, I'd understand where she's coming from. But because we're Saiyan, we know who we're meant to be—despite what she believes because of my past relationships. But with all of you, I know we're meant to be; I can feel it. Don't worry about my mom; she'll get over it eventually." Trunks insisted with a smile.
"She has control issues. Don't tell her I said that. I'll see you around." Vegeta added before leaving.
"Sorry." Kori guiltily apologized.
"You have nothing to be sorry for. My mom is just how she is. Don't you worry about that. We'll finish eating and then we'll go shopping. And make sure you eat whatever you want; everything is already paid for. Same with drinks; you can refill those whenever you want as well. We'll go to the apartment, settle in for the night, and tomorrow I'll take you to the new house, and show everyone around. It will be a first for everyone; I'm the only one who's seen it. Sound like a plan?" Trunks insisted before asking.
"Yes." Everyone answered as they went back to eating…
