Chapter I: The Father & The 4 Eggs
Well this is my first fanfic and I wanted to do something that I dont think ive seen before (you can review and tell me if I'm wrong it's fine) but this is my first fanfic so expect bad storytelling and grammar prob. Anyway I decided on HSDXD bc I personally read mostly of the Fandoms wacky and weird scenarios they can come up with and was like so be it bruv, oh and a bit of context for the story rq this takes place around 500 years before the start of the main timeline

Chapter I: The Father & The 4 Eggs
As snow and the biting frost bit the man's coat and limbs he kept walking through the mountain in the human world with his eyes cold blue, almost frozen like, with his black hair covered by his hood and coat over his body, his body covered his bandages, signs of scars and wounds hugged his body but he kept walking through the mountain looking for shelter till he found a cave in a little side of the mountain, even though he was cold he never limped over he kept walking almost robotically, he held a staff with a white orb but looked more like a white clock but it never moved an inch, his clothes were white robes and a black scarf with a hood, no gloves and a mask the shape of a Noh mask with 2 black teardrops from the eyes.
(AN: If you want a visual its Lichts first mask from Plunderer bc i thought it look cool)
This man's title was the "Timebender" Who's real name was "Z" for he did indeed control the fibers of time in his staff and could freeze the world to a complete stop for periods of time, almost for a year if he tried but that would be alot for his powers and stamina too plus he could apply this power as fast as lightning but some techniques required time and setup for more powerful moves but time stop did come in handy and was a master marksman for him needing to aim his attacks, and his secondary weapon that he also uses in battle.
"At least I'm out of the cold but I think I used most of my food for the week climbing this, great…" the man said.
Suddenly he felt a wave of power rush from deeper in the cave we rested in and to him it felt divided.
"What is this power I'm feeling? I only feel this power when I'm fighting seriously with enemies not from an unknown source" Z thought frantically
As Z walked further into the cave it gradually changed from the stone, rocky, rough floor to smooth slabs of stone and markings of dragons which only had 4 colors, Red, White, Gold & Black which all lit up as soon as Z touched them which very much did surprise him and put him on edge at the same time.
(10 minutes later)
Z continued down the hallway as he tried to understand the marking on the walls lining the pathway till he found a line of words that he barely managed to read out.
"The 4 original dragons were absolute in power that rivaled the gods themselves but to them they were family all brothers" he spoke as he read along.
"The Red grows in power over time, The White takes power over time, The Gold copies and changes power, The Black devours all power, consumes it and throws it back" he once again said out loud.
"I really wasn't expecting to find them here because everyone thought that they were myths or copies of the current Twin Sky Dragons based on the first 2." Z thought.
Z found a door that had all 4 colored dragons facing the center where he touched, suddenly the door started to shake and open, with air rushing out and power exploding from inside the tight room. Inside were 4 pedestals with the dragon eggs mentioned each hovering a few inches off their place holders.
One was the Red egg or rather Crimson egg with scales and a hot outer shell and aura, the next one was the White egg with a single touch Z could feel his power slowly drain and its shell was tough and shiny but radiated an icy cold aura. The golden egg was one that was indeed shiny and Z did feel some power from the egg as its shell was smooth not like the others but still tough and sturdy. He remembered this dragon's power but wondered what other powers he could consume. The last egg was shadow black with sharp edges but ironically it had felt that the egg had an aura of kindness.
He took all the eggs from their pedestals and walked out of the chamber, somehow the door and glowing markings faded into lifeless signs that turned off like lights.
Z had to move quickly because even though in the supernatural world which dragons being highly resistant to all forms of damage and exception was Samael's curse and of course Dragon-Slaying weapons, the eggs would not last long because the dragons were still developing inside and he had to wait it out in a calmer environment, not a raging snow storm.
(In another Dimension)
With a slash of pure white a carve was opened out of thin air and Z walked through with snow and ice following behind him and yes all 4 eggs in tow as he entered his own dimension, the Timeless Zone.
(AN: its like "Divine Sword Escanor" from 7 Deadly Sins Instead of sun power it's just a white slash)
The Timeless Zone was a calm area that was made by Z himself obviously, it was a simple area of a small forest, river & a small cabin but the sky was more like a night sky with shooting stars going across the bubble, with colors streaking of red, yellow and many more. Z managed to convert an area into his home in the one place that nobody else could reach except for 2 people that he knew of, that being Great Red & Ophis but they never noticed him because of the isolating power in his bubble and because Ophis would want her "Home" back from Great Red who basically kicked her out.
His Home was indeed the Interdimensional Gap that served as a gateway between the Human world and the Underworld of the Devils & Fallen Angels that the last time he heard were both in decline like the Pure-Angels in Heaven after some war that he was not interested in, because he just wanted to be a "Chaotic Neutral" as he called it.
"Well I guess it's time for me to be a Father of a couple of dragons per se?" Z said as he took out the eggs that he stored in a box he kept with him in another space, he then put them in a square formation in his home so he could keep watch of them which he did for at least 1 month while he still did about his regular chores of cleaning around and getting food, because he knew that dragons ate A LOT.
(1 Month Later)
*CRACK - CRACK - CRACK*
"The hell is happening?" Z thought angrily as he woke up.
"Could this be? The eggs!" Z said as he walked out of bed into a section of the house that held the 4 eggs with the 1st egg to break open was the Crimson egg with a little dragon claw emerging from the top half of the bright crimson egg.
"Well, looks like you're the oldest of the four now, I shall call you Redstone because of your unique glow in between your scales and your birth egg!" Z said happily as he picked up his 1st son.
The dragon itself was indeed Crimson red, it reminded Z of a famous clan with the same color but he didn't remember the name right now, he had 4 wings on his back, a dark shade of red, his head had 2 horns coming out from the sides and fire filled eyes with his scales looking as a combo of crimson and black, intimidating by itself but still a small dragon with its most noticeable looking feature, a area not covered by scales but instead had the pure fire magic energy running through him from his lower stomach to his shoulders.
(AN: for a visual look, its Deathwing from WOW but really small and less scary)
"From what i can tell your unique power is to increase power over time if i'm correct? But to be accurate can you still stay there real quick please Redstone?"
*~Kuukuu~* Redstone said as he complied, sitting on the ground, recognising Z as his parent.
Z then took out a piece of glass but with a little lens on the back facing Redstone and it activated, seeming to scan his head, wings, body and tail. Afterwards a ding could be heard indicating that the scan was complete but what it said was shocking and surprising to say the least.
"Well Red (the shorter version of his full name) your power is to indeed increase power like the Heavenly Dragon Ddraig's sacred gear "The Boosted Gear", but its different somehow, instead of powering up every 10 seconds, its every second with a 2x power increase, but the thing that's different is that when you activate your ability to double your power, yes it does double your power but instead its a permanent buff so its would go from 2x to 4x to 6x and so on and so forth until you reach your limit!" Z said happily.
*CRACK - CRACK - CRACK*
"Are the others already hatching? It's only been a month since i found them?!" Z thought frantically.
And then the white egg popped open and out came another dragon but this time it was completely different species, this dragon was a long, with little black armor on its shoulders, white underbelly, and 2 long whiskers that flowed as the beast breathed, its tail also had small black armor on top of it, its head had a few white ice-textured spikes protruding from it, and from the center of its head was a blue radiating glow that gave an icy aura around the dragon, its eyes gave off the impression of a freezing blizzard storm but showed signs of a calm snowflake.
(AN: Look up God-Emperor Kamukura from Battle Cats but a lot smaller and with the details said above and that's what he looks like.)
Doing another scan when the white dragon immediately flew over to Z and landing on his lead and moving his tail to fit on top too, Z managed to get a scan for his "Species Analyzer" as he named it, and managed to see what his ability is and because he found a new name for the white dragon.
"You shall be named Frostborne my 2nd son, and your power is again similar to the Heavenly Dragon Albion but different, I maybe can see you and Redstone fighting each other trying to see who is more powerful~, but anyway it's detecting that your power is able to reduce any enemies power within a 10m radius around you and you take half of anybodies power in 1 second they stay within your radius and just like Redstone's power its a permanent debuff so it would go from 50% power stolen from the enemy that they can no longer use to 25% to 12.5% and so on and so forth but you gain a lot of power back from this ability! Z explained to Frost.
(AN: Frost is gonna be Frostborne's shortened version of his name :) )
*CRACK - CRACK - CRACK*
"Jeez ya'll are hatching all at once now aren't you?" Z said.
The next dragon to emerge was the Golden egg that had a smaller dragon emerge from its shell but it was more fast than Frostborne that was really surprising, but Z noticed that his details, well the most obvious thing that he had were 4 giant gold gems on his forearms, 2 on each which signifies his ability to steal techniques and to copy them up to 4 different powers. Even thought he was small his shiny gold scales and armor made him look intimidating for a smaller dragon, he had the trait all of them shared of black, small pieces of armor, for him it was placed on his tail, head & tails, his posture was different than the other dragons, he could stand up on his 2 legs but he could still run like a dragon but standing up, squating a bit down and hands at his sides spread out looking like he was ready for a fight, his 4 wings that were golden as well, it reminded Z of pure-Angels for a moment, the wing fiber looked like rockets pointing outward rather than regular wings but to the dragon he admired his wings, his scales were a royal gold and could not even get dirty with the grass and soil rubbed into it, his head had 4 horn like spikes from his head with a little bit of a orange-yellow lining from his horn, similar to his "Horn Veins" he had a open mid section of the same color energy from this horns looking like a cannon strapped to the middle of his chest.
(AN: Its basically Megidora from again battle cats, bc i used to play the game and loved the Dragon lord models but instead its with all the detail above and its what this Dragon looks like.)
"His elemental power might be sunlight, heat or steam depending on the temperature i guess." Z thought in his head.
Another scan showed that his power was indeed able to steal and copy 4 different powers or ability and use it to his will, but if the dragon wanted to get another power with 4 in stock he had 2 choices, either dispel one or condense it into a physical orb that contained the power & to suggest to his speed all he had to do was to damage the opponent once after the skill had been used and he could copy it and store it, he seemed more intelligent than his brothers which would help him in a fight but he was just a hatchling.
"And your name will be Goldar my son-" Z said but was soon cut of by the last egg hatching.
*CRACK - CRACK - CRACK*
"I guess I can meet my whole new family now, I never thought it would be with 4 dragons." Z thought happily.
The last egg was going to hatch until the shell exploded revealing a medium sized dragon with more 'mechanical-like' scales, the scales were a mix of mostly jet-black but with purple, and light blue mixed in his wings.
His wings looked glass-like, but had the feeling of soft fabric, which also had vein-like texture inside the glass-appearance of the wings with Z touching with curiosity. The small black armor trait was shown on the dragon's entire arm, back and head. Just like with Goldar he stood on 2 legs his feet were like claws with a bit of white armor on the shins, and a little purple glow from the actual black scaled leg of the dragon, his power described by the line of text was, "Devours all power" which was true, his element that Z suspected just like the Power dynamic with Red and Frost, the same could be with Goldar and now named Shikkoku with Goldars elemental powers of sunlight & Shiki's powers of Darkness and shadows were a direct opposite.
(AN: Shikkoku visual is Bahamut from FFVII remake with the details noted above and the word "Shikkoku no '' means jet-black which I choose to match his scale color also I will call Shikkoku 'Shiki' to make it easier.)
"Now my 4 dragon sons, your powers are exceptionally deadly to those who choose to harm you but, there may be those who choose to take it for themselves, so I will help you grow and to learn how to defend yourselves, I don't want to see any of my family be lost or contained in a sacred gear."
Z said emotionally that he found his new family but some may try to take from him.
Surprisingly all the dragons came up to him and started to cuddle up to him for he was their guardian and then they stared at each other before taking off and trying to hit each other beginning their training with each other as brothers.
"I'd rather not let them hurt each other too badly but I would like to see them grow and learn how to fight it's very important for them in this era right now. Plus if they hurt each other too much I can reverse the injury on them and freeze time if they take a serious blow, its good training for them." Z thought gladly.
(Timeskip around a few years before cannon timeline)
"Man i'm getting old over here, I may be the one who can control time but I still age how Ironic eh boys?" Z said with pride because he was now older but aged slower but gained more wisdom on how to teach his dragon sons.
Redstone was now way bigger and his features definitely grew out and so did his power, along with his rivalry with Frontborne who had grown bigger and longer who was also indeed stronger for he favorite close ranged fights because of his power so he was seen rushing Redstone but he fought back and managed to knock him back and boost more of his power that doubled, quadrupled & sextupled and so on and so forth, but Frostborne was able to keep his power in check and managed to vent out his extra power through explosive bursts of speed to vent out more power and to keep him in fighting shape.
Goldar was having a fist fight brawl and biting Shiki who was absorbing attacks both magical, physical pain, and long ranged attacks back at Goldar who managed to dodge it but met with a fully armored dragon fist grab his face and drag him along the ground and back into the sky where they fought some more. Goldar had developed a battle loving sense as the longer he fought he could also boost his power of sunshine and increase with power, speed and magical prowess which Shiki could keep up with in physical strength and absorptions and counter attacks.
"Looks like all my boys are having fun while training" Z said happily in the small cabin but now the range of the Timeless Zone had expanded in 20 miles in all directions to give his sons all the space they wanted to fight it out.
All of his dragon sons had increased massively in power, durability and some found clever ways to deal with attacks and deploy counter attacks. Each powerful in their own field-
"EMERGENCY TIME STOP INITIATED - WARNING UNKNOWN BEING HAS ENTERED 'TIMELESS DOMAIN' BEWARE OR UNKNOWN FOE." A system message echoed in the frozen world.
Z had put up an emergency time stop ability that would work instantly if either the Timeless Zone barrier was broken or an unknown person entered the barrier, which was indeed activated.
(In the Frozen World)
"My sons we have an intruder proceed with caution for we do not know who is able to penetrate the barrier much less reach our domain so be cautious and stay with each other, but if they resort to violence make them pay for entering our home." Z commanded telepathically to his sons.
*RAWWWWWR* For all his sons received his message and roared in return, putting a smile on Z's face.
