I apologize for the extremely late update, my laptop ended up breaking and then my wi-fi went out for a bit preventing me from writing anything.
Not really a good excuse, but hopefully this chapter is of quality for you guys!

If you asked Raynare how her day was going after she killed the boosted gear user, she would have told you it was going fine, until practically every single supernatural in Kuoh heard the reawakening of said boosted gear user. Yeah, it wasn't going so well now.
"Raynare, what are we going to do now?" questioned Mittlet wondering about her leader's current plan..
"How did you mess up killing a puny human of all things?" mockingly asked Kalawarna.
"Raynare-", Mittlet never finished her question as Raynare interrupted her. "SHUT UP DAMMIT, LET ME THINK!" roared Raynare.
The brat surviving wasn't the issue, what was is the fact that the brat was the newly awakened Sekiryuutei. "Of all the sacred gears, he had to have been born with a longinus, the boosted gear to be exact?!"
Yelling out in frustration wasn't something that the other fallen had seen Raynare do often, compared to her usual calm and sadistic demeanor that they grew used to. This however, was the exact opposite. She was quick to spite and lashed out at anyone that dared interrupt her in her current state.
She gnashed at her teeth in irritation, almost breaking her jaw from the way she clenched it so tightly. 'It doesn't make any sense, how on earth did the brat ever survive? I put a hole through him for fuck's sake! The only way for him to have healed from a wound like that is only possible…."
"..if he was reincarnated!" The sudden revelation made the most logical sense in a situation like this in her mind after all. The boy was only a human and was far too weak and worthless to bargain with a dragon of all things.
A devil however? Devils made deals for a living, add that onto the fact that they were in devil territory and they also probably sensed the relatively unknown sacred gear that the boy had until now, it was the most logical scenario.
"What do the devils have to do with this?",questioned the only male of the group. Giving Dohnaseek a fierce sideways glance she continued, "The devils obviously must have showed up after I killed the brat and reincarnated him into a devil."
Dohnaseek grunted in acknowledgment, "I suppose that may be a solid reason, but are you sure?"
"It's the only outcome that makes sense, after all-"
"Hah, I bet you just don't want to accept the fact that you couldn't kill him fully" sneered Kalawarna. "You were too weak to kill him weren't you? Hmph, Lord Azazel should have just made me leader and then we would have seen much better progress than what you've managed to scrounge up."
Raynare clicked her tongue, Kalawarna always thought that she was better than her and for the life of her she couldn't understand why that is. "Maybe you should remember who Lord Azazel did make the leader of this mission. Maybe you should consider the fact that you should realize your standings in this group."
Kalawarna felt a cold sweat start forming as she continued to berate Raynare, "And what exactly is my standing in our group?"
"Your standing in my group is beneath me and Lord Azazel didn't choose me just because of my experience in the field. It was also because of my power, something you lack."
The blue haired woman wanted to shout in denial that she wasn't beneath Raynare, but it would be a lie with a quick death. "Fine," Kalawarna spat out, "Have it your way then." Kalwarna gave the entire group a cold stare that did nothing to hide the anger hiding in her eyes. "Stay here and cower in fear, I will be out looking for more information and kill the Sekiryuutei."
In a quick burst, a swarm of black feathers lay where Kalwarna was before disappearing, leaving the rest inside of the church.
Raynare stared at the spot Kalawarna was for a few moments before speaking without ever taking her eyes off the spot, "Dohnaseek, I trust your strength far more than hers. You will succeed where she fails, yes?"
Dohnaseek bowed his head at Raynare's request, " Very well, Lady Raynare." The male fallen spread his wings and similar to Kalawarna bursted in a swarm of feathers leaving Raynare and Mittlet by themselves in the church.
"Do you have an assignment for me as well, Raynare?" asked Mittelt, who stayed quiet during the entire ordeal as she didn't have an opinion on the matter.
Raynare finally turned from the spot that Kalawarna stood as she glanced at Mittlet, "Yes.. go and gather all of the priests for me. Bring them all here, I need to remind them of a few things."
'Like where they stand compared to us, for one.'
Mittlet wordlessy accepted the task as she too disappeared in a swarm of feathers leaving Raynare to herself and her thoughts. Raynare clenched her fist in anger before screaming and hurling a light spear at the crucifix that hung at the end of the church.
Raynare took several gasps of air as she glowered at the spot she threw the spear before standing up straight as she gritted her teeth. She looked at her hand, "Soon… Soon the twilight healing will be in my hands.. then.." Sinister laughter echoed throughout the empty building, " Then, no one will be able to stop me.. Not even Gojo Satoru!"
With the power of the twilight healing at her side, Raynare could heal any wound preventing her from ever losing a battle. Which is why she had the user of the Twilight on their way to 'give' her the sacred gear in a sense.
Raynare sneered, 'What horrible luck it is, that I have to wait another week before I can get my hands on that blessed sacred gear'
"Such great luck!", chanted the ecstatic Satoru, as he was currently waiting for the sleeping dragon to wake up. Hey, he was annoying but he wouldn't interrupt anyone's sleep purposely. Unless it's to annoy them then he's all for it.
'Sucks that I don't have a sharpie right now, could have totally drawn all over his face right now,' thought the bummed Satoru. Waiting for someone to wake up from a near death experience was horrible in his opinion, since they tend to take forever to wake up, 'Now that's a cool gauntlet'
A gauntlet formed itself onto Issei's left arm making him raise a brow in wonder. In his eyes it was a pretty sick looking gauntlet. Red all around, golden tips protruding from the forearm and a green gem smack dab in the middle on the back of Hyoudou's hand.
"Who are you, human?"
"Woah, such a menacing voice from such a tiny gauntlet," teased Satoru.
Ddraig ignored the slight remark to interrogate this weird human, "I can tell from the way you finely tune your aura to conserve it as much as possible, that you are quite powerful. Maybe even as strong as I am in my prime."
Gojo gained a cocky smirk, "Hah, you dragons really think you're all that huh?", waiting for Ddraig's response which was silence, he continued, "Not even as strong as your prime right? I'm even stronger than that, you old dragon."
"Hmph, from what I can see you would fit right in a couple hundred years ago, when I was at my strongest along with my partner of the time. You-"
"I could care less about the past," rudely interrupted Satoru, "everything I like is here in the present so" he dragged the last word while leaning back in his chair.
"Tch, well at least you're interesting, unlike my current host that is. Only thing I am keen on is his potential", Ddraig grumbled "Not everyone has the amount of potential like him. Maybe he could prove worthy enough in due time."
A welcomed silence followed after Ddraig paused, before asking his question yet again, "You never answered my question, human."
"Oh yeah, that's right" pausing, he smirked even more than what seemed to be possible, " I am Gojo Satoru, the strongest, second only to God."
Satoru frowned in annoyance when he heard Ddraig bellowed out laughter from inside the gauntlet, "HAHAHA!" Ddraig paused for a moment quelling his boisterous laughter in the form of failed snickers, "Second only to god, eh? Quite arrogant for a human. Why, you remind me of an old enemy I fought a couple times a couple hundred years ago."
That gained Satoru's interest, someone strong enough to gain the attention of one of the heavenly dragons a couple hundred years ago and survived multiple encounters? He needed to know who this was. "Who was this old adversary of yours?" probed Satoru.
Ddraig seemed amused at Satoru's question before he answered, "He was quite a peculiar human, very eccentric in his early years I believe due to the fact I only met him a handful of times. Yet…"
An old man wearing a dark haori and a white undershirt appeared in Ddraig's mind as he recalled the very last encounter he and his partner of the time had with the peculiar human
"He reminds me of you. Spare the different look in your eyes, as he had more fire compared to you."
Another image flashed in Ddraig's head as a younger version of the old man popped up, this time sporting a manic grin and blue flames around his hands, as if he was ready for a brawl.
The image of the man faded into the visage of Gojo Satoru as Ddraig continued, "However, we can continue later as-" The gauntlet quickly faded into the arm of the host it was occupying as soon as it got interrupted by the waking teen.
"YUUMA!" Issei looked around frantically before coming to a pause as he saw an amused Satoru looking at him with a quirked up brow. "Do I look like a woman? I didn't think I was that feminine looking…" said Satoru as he muttered the last bit to himself.
"Gojo? Why- wait a minute… you knocked me out!" accused Issei as he pointed at Gojo who held up his hands defensively. "That's what you're on about?" laughed Satoru ludicrously as the boy had certain priorities, "Not the fact that you're in here and not out there with 'Yuuma'?"
Issei froze as Satoru's words sparked a flame of memories of his date with his girlfriend, Yuuma. Trying not to choke on his words or tears that were threatening to spill he managed out, "What the hell is going on? Why.. Why did I get stabbed and somehow I magically healed the wound?!" Issei clutched his head as he looked down at his knees that were wobbling, "What did I ever do to deserve this?!", he sobbed with tears landing onto his knees.
Satoru let Issei cry as much as he needed due to the fact he only recently had his entire world flipped upside down. He wasn't heartless after all. Issei wiped his tears as he faced Satoru with a grim look, "Gojo, I beg of you, please tell me what the hell is going on. Why did Yuuma have wings?! Did I imagine her having wings? Did I imagine meeting that dragon?!"
Satoru sighed in exasperation and scratched his head before shrugging and looking Issei dead in the eye, "Do you really want to know? There's no going back after I explain it, there will be no more 'normal'."
He got a firm nod for confirmation making him grin slightly, "Well then, you're more eager than I thought a regular person would be," he coughed into his hand, "So, what has the dragon told you so far?"
Recalling the moment he met Ddraig he sweatdropped, "Not much, since I was… dying.." Issei said depressingly. "All he could tell me was that Yuuma was a fallen angel," he snapped his fingers, "like the ones from the bible right?"
Satoru nodded, "Seeing as how this is still all new information happening in a couple of hours, I'll tell you the short version of the supernatural world."
Issei waited eagerly for Satoru's detailing of the supernatural world, what does his classmate have to say about the world breaking revelation?
"Every single religion and mythology exists," Satoru bluntly stated, before continuing not letting the information stir inside Issei, "There are three main factions however, Devils, Angels, and the Fallen. As you might've guessed, they are considered the main faction due to being a part of the Christianity religion."
Issei swallowed, "Wow… That's a lot," he gripped his knees and looked down, "So Yuuma really was a Fallen then? Just my luck.." Issei scowled at Gojo, "How do you know about the supernatural Gojo? Are you one of the supernatural beings too? Have you come to take the sacred gear like Yuuma?"
Satoru didn't look too bothered at the accusations that Issei hurled at him. Satoru gave his senior a small grin, "Listen I know this is a lot to take in, but there are a couple things that you need to learn."
He held a finger up, "I learned about the supernatural when I was four years old, yeah I know pretty surprising right? First time I ever saw anything related to the supernatural was when I was seven."
Satoru waited for a reaction before sighing at Issei's irritated demeanor, "You're too serious, calm down a little..oh almost forgot to tell you that I am human."
Issei slouched immediately, releasing his guard and mumbled something to himself that Satoru didn't bother listening in on as he waited for Issei to refocus his attention onto him.
"I don't really care about your sacred gear, it's nothing special really except for the fact it's considered one of the thirteen longinus."
"About that, Yuuma said that my sacred gear was capable of killing gods, is that true?"
"Mhm, it's true. However, you are nowhere near that level yet."
"Y'know I've been meaning to ask you, how are you holding up so far?"
Issei paused as he thought about the last couple of hours before coming to an answer, "I still think this is a horrible dream," Issei said while giving him a thumbs up.
"Ha! Well at least that's all you're thinking and not anything darker."
An uncomfortable silence ensued as Issei struggled to speak something that was bugging him ever since he woke up.
Satoru looked at his classmate trying to hide his increasing boredom with every second before Issei finally asked, "Why were you there at the end of my date with Yuuma?"
"Well I heard a dying man and saw a lively one in his place. That right there is one of the reasons you interest me."
Satoru hummed before approaching Issei and holding out his hand to him, "Try and hold my hand."
"I don't like men," was Issei's blunt response as he misunderstood Satoru's request.
"Haha, c'mon try and hold my hand. You're in for a surprise," smirked Satoru as he wiggled his brow at Issei who was slightly miffed at the strange request.
Issei relented and tried to touch Satoru's hand. Keyword tried. "W-What is this? Why can't I touch you?"
The reason Issei was currently freaking out was because it was as if there was an invisible wall separating his hand from Satoru's. Satoru grinned, "Aw, you do want to touch me. How sweet."
Issei shook his head left and right denying Satoru's claims, "YOU ASKED ME!"
Satoru cackled at Issei's reaction before pressing his hand even further towards Issei's. "You see, this is what I refer to as the infinity between you and me. It's very complicated and involves a whole bunch of numbers, but to dumb it down for you, nothing can ever reach me."
"Nothing can ever reach you?" He wouldn't say it out loud, but it was quite a vague answer in Issei's opinion.
Issei hated nothing more than Satoru's smug look in that moment when he said no.
Satoru nodded as he retracted his hand and pointed at a random rock on the floor, "Throw that at me. Yes, it's a good idea, and no I do not like your unenthusiastic behavior. Just throw the rock already!"
Issei looked even more confused than before he threw the rock at Satoru's face. "You see now? Nothing can ever reach me." Issei looked at the suspended rock in awe before asking Satoru, "Could you please explain that better besides saying nothing can ever reach you?"
"Nope," smugly said Satoru who was enjoying annoying Issei.
"Haah, has anyone ever told you that you suck?"
Satoru stuck out his tongue which just annoyed Issei further as he didn't know how to interact with the white-haired male without said male annoying him to oblivion.
Issei slumped his shoulders before instantly asking,"Can you at least tell me how you do your infinity? Is it like magic or something?"
Satoru faked offense at Issei's second question and held a hand to his chest, "Magic? How dare you assume it's something as boring as magic!"
"Uh, I'm sorry?"
Satoru chuckled, "Nah, I'm just messin' with ya. Now you see I don't mind telling you how I do what I do-"
"What is it exactly that you do?"
Satoru blanked for a moment as he realized that he hadn't yet explained what exactly he does, "What do I do?" Satoru smirked for a moment before striking a pose and dramatically shouting, "I, Gojo Satoru, am the one and only Jujutsu Sorcerer of this era!"
Issei tilted his head in confusion, "Jujutsu Sorcerer?"
Satoru sighed dramatically and clicked his tongue in faux sadness at Issei's lack of knowledge on Jujutsu Sorcery.
"Ahh, woe to whomever is not blessed by my sightly knowledge," Satoru pointed exaggeratedly at Issei, "You there! Do you wish to be blessed with my expertise on Jujutsu Sorcery?!"
'What the hell is going on?' This strange interaction with Satoru left Issei bewildered at the eccentricities of Satoru, "What are you doing?"
Satoru frowned at Issei's unwillingness to play along, "Merely spreading knowledge on Jujutsu Sorcery, do you wish to learn?"
"I guess?"
Issei didn't like the manic grin that sported itself on the eccentric white-haired male nor did he like when he felt the aura of nothing surrounding him.
"I'm quite glad you agreed! However," Satoru turned serious, "If I find out you spread this to anyone that isn't in this room, I will hunt you down."
Issei made sure to try and hide the shiver that went down his spine as Satoru looked him in the eye when he said that.
Creepy Eyes
"O! K! Now that we have your confirmation on learning Jujutsu Sorcery, do you have any questions before we start?"
Issei paused for a moment before giving a firm shake of his head signifying his response.
"No questions then? Alright let's begin the rundown!"
Satoru started by whipping out a white board from thin air leaving Issei bewildered, "You see there is one fundamental thing that makes a Jujutsu Sorcerer a Jujutsu Sorcerer, and that's cursed energy."
"You see my dear pupil, cursed energy is the manifestation of powerful negative emotions that specifically humans release naturally. Fear, grief, anger, and other emotions that send humans over the edge manifest into cursed energy."
"So does that mean everyone has cursed energy then?"
Satoru clapped, " Correct my young disciple! Every human does in fact have cursed energy but they cannot harness it like I can. That is because everyone is born with a set amount of cursed energy and normally humans have such low reserves that they cannot use it nor see cursed spirits, beings made from cursed energy."
"Does that mean I can't use cursed energy then? And what are cursed spirits?"
"I was getting there before you interrupted me," replied a slumped over Satoru before he got right up as if nothing had happened. "Ahem, cursed spirits are spirits born of the build-up of negative emotions and eventually form into cursed spirits. From what I was told by some 'friends' of mine, cursed spirits were generally weaker before I was born."
"...Are you saying your birth caused them to get stronger?"
A cheshire-like grin made Issei want to sigh, but decided to wait patiently for Satoru to continue the explanation. He was already far too tired to deal with Satoru's antics.
"To answer your question, yes my birth caused the entire world to change as we know it. Well, mainly the supernatural world, everything else stayed the same as far as I know." Satoru never really bothered to learn more as to why his birth caused the world to change, but it did serve as an extremely massive reason as to why his ego was so big.
"But you don't have to worry all that much about meeting them since curses are rare as is. There are some that are out there, harmless ones but rarely do we ever see the birth of a truly strong curse."
"Yet, just to clarify, there are four grades to categorize cursed spirits and Jujutsu Sorcerers as stated in passages of the history of Jujutsu Sorcerers. Grade 4 is considered the weakest and are spirits that are usually around and could be considered to be like yokai in the sense that they bring misfortune to their victims."
"Grade 3 are stronger than Grade 4, having better physical aspects and more bloodthirsty overall yet you could rest easy as you would survive an encounter with one even before you unlocked your sacred gear."
"Grade 2 however, I can't say I've met one in a while since it's scarce enough as is for a cursed spirit of grade 2 or higher to manifest at all without being intervened by the supernatural. From what I do remember is that they have higher cursed energy and intelligence than your regular curses. I would say you would struggle if you ever fought one but that is to be seen."
"Now, Grade 1 cursed spirits? Run. You aren't a match for them at all. Grade 1 cursed spirits have not only very high intelligence and cursed energy, they also have cursed techniques as well."
"...What I'm hearing is that I don't stand a chance unless I get stronger right?"
"That is if you don't train, however, to answer your first question," A muted blue aura formed around Issei's body from Satoru's perspective, causing him to grin crazily that sent shivers down Issei's spine.
"Tell me, did you feel anger? Maybe you felt pathetic? Like you couldn't do anything at all against someone stronger than you? Maybe you felt everything all at once and only one thing shone through."
The reminder of his heartorn date made Issei's bangs fall over his eyes revealing nothing to Satoru, yet the quaking body of Issei told him everything he needed to know about what his senior was feeling.
"Could you die for me?"
"I'm disgusted that it took me this long to kill you."
"Perish, filthy human."
The words repeated themselves through Issei's head, taunting him, reminding him of how he had to survive and how weak he was against Yuuma. The thought of Yuuma brought a myriad of emotions in him.
He trusted her
Cared for her
…Loved her
For all it was worth, the reminder that he was alive did nothing to quell the part that Yuuma did kill of Hyoudou Issei
His heart
"Yuuma…" The whisper of the woman's name he had just met, yet loved for all of his heart brought forth the devastating realization to him… "She never cared.. S-she never cared," voice cracking but trying to hold the tears inside of him just made it worse for the boy.
He felt it however, the part of him that screamed at him to get his revenge, to ensure that no one ever looks down on him ever again, to fulfill the part of him that wanted blood. A promise was made to himself that day to push himself to his limits to never be this weak ever again.
When Issei looked up at Satoru, Satoru knew that this wasn't the same guy he was just speaking to. Something had changed inside of Issei that made his blood race in anticipation for he had seen the unforgettable look that Issei gave him.
The Fury of an Unyielding Dragon
"Please… Teach me how to use cursed energy!"
The memories of being unable to do anything against Yuuma brought forth an unfamiliar rage that burned brightly inside of him. "I never want to feel that… that weak ever again," Issei practically begged Satoru.
Satoru looked at Issei and judged his character for all that he's worth. "Hm, well I'm not really a teacher but I can help you. You do have cursed energy, as you most likely had it become higher than the average person after nearly dying and awakening your sacred gear."
The white-haired male looked at his classmate, "Due to the rush of emotions you were feeling while dying and being heartbroken, I'm more surprised a curse never formed while you were dying."
The spectacled male debated whether or not he should be telling the wielder of the boosted gear of all people this, yet he couldn't help but relish in what would be an interesting goal for Issei to reach.
"Out of the four people that can use cursed energy, there are only two of us that can actually use it. The other two actually can't use it due to it clashing with their bodily origins. I along with the wielder of the Divine Dividing can use cursed energy."
"Divine Dividing?" The phrase brought something akin to a migraine inside of Issei's head for some reason, it could have been his imagination however.
"Your destined rival of course, the Hakuryuukou is the one you eventually fight to the death of course," explained Satoru as he had already met the wielder of the Divine Dividing multiple times. 'Interesting guy really, never took him to like asses though'
"I'm going to ignore that I have to fight a random person to the death eventually and focus on the fact that all this happened in the span of a single day, and, well that's a lot to take in for someone you know?"
Issei wanted nothing more than to go home and forget any of this happened today and sleep for a minimum of 5 days before speaking to anyone ever again, but school was a thing and he needed to get up early for it.
"One more thing before you go."
Exasperated, Issei looked at Gojo who was more smug looking than when he threw a rock at him. "What", he said flatly.
"You'll most likely get approached tomorrow by the devils who run the school and either get interrogated or recruited." Devils ran the school? Well that's kinda convenient if you think about it. Issei sighed, he missed his bed more and more now.
"Here's my advice, don't trust them, they're after your sacred gear only. Not Hyoudou Issei."
Issei nodded stiffly as he was reminded again that people were after his sacred gear. 'Everything's changed, but that makes all the more sense to get stronger now. I want- no. I need to be stronger'
A door opening, exposing his body which was covered in the tattered remains of his clothing, to the cold night air. Rubbing his arms as he walked outside he turned to Gojo, thankfulness shining in his eyes. "Thank you, truly. I don't know if I would be sane after that."
Satoru barked out laughter before calming himself to a small smile. "No need to thank me yet, you'll most likely be cursing me out eventually." Satoru took note of Issei's lack of warmth and with as much smugness as he could did the best thing he could in a situation like this.
Satoru ditched the cold teenager since he couldn't feel the cold with his limitless activated, "See ya tomorroooow Hyoudou!" He cackled out while skipping away at speeds Issei could barely see.
The last thing Issei saw of Satoru was a blur of black and white skipping away leaving him stranded. Irked at the fact that Gojo quite literally left him in the middle of the night at a random place he could only shout obscenities at the blue eyed teen.
So, I apologize about the 20 day hiatus but life was being a bitch and a lot of things happened including school and work.
But no more of that! I hope this chapter was decent enough quality even though I didn't really feel all that satisfied with some of it. A weird feeling I couldn't place but it is what it is.
As always, leave reviews on what you enjoyed or want to critique me on! It's always appreciated!
