Gore turned around as he saw his friend and comrade stop while they were running. He raised an eyebrow at what he did as he continued to stare the streets that were getting turned into data. "Is something wrong, Soulburner?" asked Gore as Soulburner then shook his head as he turned to him.

"No- No, nothing is wrong. I was just… staring." said Soulburner as Gore continued to look at him. "I just… felt something was wrong, y'know? Something bad has happened I can just feel it." said Soulburner as Gore nodded.

"I see, well, even if you think something bad happened, you shouldn't stop. Even if it happened to your buddies, have trust in them, I know I do." said Gore as Soulburner was quiet as he nodded.

"Right. Thanks. Let's go!" he yelled as they continued to run straight towards the Tower Of Hanoi. They didn't know is that Varis was looking over them with narrowed eyes.

With Specter and Frostgirl

The Duel between Specter, the right hand man of the Hanoi, the Sunavalon Duelist and the man that was able to defeat Seigen Futai in a duel, not to mention one of the Lost Incident Survivors, against Frostgirl, the one that had Flame around her, the Ice Barrier and Nekroz duelist, had only begun.

They were dueling in the same ally as Specter and Stormrider fought in, but there was one difference and that was that there were buildings the last time. This time? Almost all of them were turned into dust/data material as the man looked smug the entire time.

Frostgirl was dueling to avenge her best friend while Specter was doing this so he could help out Varis in this war against the ones that dare to defy the Knights of Hanoi.

They were in a Master Duel.

"Let the duel commence!" yelled Specter as he swiped his hand as both duelists drew the top 5 cards of their deck as he had a smirk on his face after he defeated her best friend. "And I will go first!" yelled Specter as Frostgirl gritted her teeth.

"Damn it, he got it first." said Frostgirl as Flame came out of the duel disk.

"That may be, but don't worry, we still have enough to work with. There is a high chance that he doesn't draw the combo piece he needs the first turn he gets, so there is nothing to worry about." said Flame as Frostgirl calmed down. That was good to hea-

"I will begin by summoning Sunseed Genius Loci!" "Damn It!" both Frostgirl and Flame thought at the same time as the combo Normal Plant monster piece appeared on the field as it was a massive seed with several long and metallic looking leaves on it as the thing was held by a golden like cup.

(Sunseed Genius Loci: Level 1 - Earth Plant - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)

"You drew the combo piece already?!" yelled Frostgirl in shock as Specter nodded.

"That's right, and even if I didn't, I had Sunseed Sowing or Unexpected Dai to help me, so I would almost have it on me." he said with a grin on his face as then data appeared around Specter's hands, "I will now grow my circuit!" as then a circuit appeared over the field. "The Summoning Condition is 1 Level 4 or lower Plant monster, so I set my Sunseed Genius Loci in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as the monster flew in the bottom Link Arrow.

Vines erupted from the ground as they instantly knew that the first stage of his mother will begin, as Specter began to chant, "Appear, the mother tree that protects its offspring! I Link Summon! Link-1, Sunavalon Dryas!" the tree then appeared straight behind Specter as the tree was that of a regular tree as there were pods around the monster including a woman's face on the tree.

"The first part of the combo has appeared. The one that defeated him." said Flame as he looked at the tree as he never thought seeing a tree could bring in anger. "Be cautious about this."

"I will, don't worry. I have a way to get around it." said Frostgirl as she looked at her hand with a small smile on her face.

"Really now? Well, I would like to see it. I end my turn after I set this card face down." a card was set vertically in front of Specter, but it then disappeared shortly after.

Turn 2. Frostgirl - 4000 lp - 5 cards

"You think I am going to fall for that? Well, I am going to show you something. Something new that I added to my deck!" yelled Frostgirl as Specter raised an eyebrow at that.

"Really? Well, I goes I should throw my 'Plans of taking out Frostgirl' to the trash, should I? Well, come on deary, show me your moves, I am ready!" yelled Specter with a maniacal grin on his face as Frostgirl was ready to slap that out of it. She will avenge him, no matter what.

"My turn! I draw!" she yelled as she drew the top card of her deck as she looked at it. It was an insanely good card that will help her out if by some miracle this isn't the turn that he takes this lunatic down. "I will start by discarding my Nekroz Of Brionac!" she yelled out as she showed the card that she wanted to discard as Specter nodded.

"With this, when I discard it from my hand, I get to add 1 Nekroz monster from my deck straight to my hand!" she yelled as she pointed at the card as it then disappeared into data as a card popped out of her duel disk as she then took it. She looked at it and smiled. This was a card that helped her out immensely against her duel against Baira. She then looked at Specter with narrowed eyes. "This better work. This is the best I can do against him." she thought. She then picked out a different card from her hand, "I will then discard my Nekroz of Clausolas!"

"Nekroz of Clausolas? Ahh… it seems that your claim of spicing things up isn't just a way to add pepper on a chicken, huh? How interesting. Say what does it do?" asked Specter as Flame looked at him.

"Well the effect is quite simple, with this one card, we can add 1 Nekroz Spell or Trap card from our deck to our hand." a card appeared on the top of Frostgirl's deck as she then took it, "The card we choose is Nekroz MIrror!" Flame yelled out as she showed the Ritual Spell card that she just added.

"This… is for my friend! I activate the Ritual Spell card Nekroz Mirror!" she yelled out as then a purple circle appeared on the field as it had 12 Heads of Nekroz of Trishula on it to represent Levels, "With this, I can Ritual Summon a Nekroz monster whose levels equal to exactly the amount it has! Here is the kicker though, I can use monsters from my hand, field or graveyard."

"Oh. This is interesting." Specter said.

"You bet it is! So I banish from my graveyard my Nekroz of Brionac and Nekroz of Clausolas, whose levels equal to 9 so I can Ritual Summon one of my strongest monsters!" she yelled as Clausolas and Brionac appeared on the field as they were turned into data as 9 of the 12 Heads lit up.

Frostgirl then began to chant, "Dragon of Ice, become one with the warrior to rival that of the strongest general to create the next king of mages! I Ritual Summon! Appear, Nekroz of Trishula!" on her side of the field appeared a warrior that fused himself with the strongest of dragons, as the warrior had short red hair, green eyes as he wore a helmet of a powerful dragon.

The Warrior showed immense power from being summoned alone, as the warrior wore an armour that was impenetrable. It had a long tail made out of blue eyes ice. The wings were long for a monster of his size, wearing a massive sword that was pointy in all of the directions. When summoned, it swung his blade towards his enemy.

(Nekroz Of Trishula: Ritual - Level 9 - Water Warrior - Attack: 2700. Defense: 2000.)

Most duelists would drop in fear of seeing a monster of this power, but not Specter. He just saw it as an obstacle to overcome. "This is the monster that helped to defeat Baira. Well, it seems that I will avenge her, then." thought to himself Specter as he looked at Nekroz of Trishula.

"It seems nothing can phase the guy." muttered Frostgirl as Flame nodded.

"Creepy, but that won't stop us! Remember, here is the effect to be feared by! When Nekroz of Trishula is Ritual Summoned, he can banish 1 card from your hand, field and graveyard!" yelled Flame as Nekroz Of Trishula raised his hand as then 3 large pillars were created.

"That's right! I will pick the middle card from your hand! Sub-Zero!" Frostgirl yelled as Nekroz Of Trishula threw the pillar straight towards the middle card as Specter merely frowned, revealing it to be Sunavalon Glorious Growth. "From your graveyard, I will pick your Sunseed Genius Loci!" The Monster card appeared above Specter as the pillar went straight towards the card as Specter didn't even flinch at.

"And finally! Your tree will be frozen! Sub-Zero!" she yelled out as the last pillar of Trishula threw straight towards Sunavalon Dryas, but Specter grinned.

"You won't lay a finger on my mother tree! Go, Sunavalon Planting!" he yelled as a new card was opened, It showed Sunvine Gardna and Sunvine Healer planting some new trees as Sunvine Thrasher gives water to Sunavalon Dryades. "I will now target 1 Sunavalon monster on my side of the field and now it can not be affected by your effects!"

Their eyes widened as a protective barrier appeared around Sunavalon Dryas as the massive pillar of ice went straight towards it and it was now shattered into million of pieces.

"We were so close. Dang it." she sighed as she then took a card from her hand, "Well, I can start with this, I activate Assault Armour!" the card materialized in front of her, "If the only monster I have on the field is a Warrior, this card can be equipped to it and the monster gains a total of 300 attack points!" she yelled as then a bright yellow aura wrapped itself around Nekroz of Trishula as the monster roared in power.

Nekroz Of Trishula: 2700 - 3000 attack points

Frostgirl smiled as she remembered Theoodre giving this card to her after getting the new Cyberse cards, saying that "This card works for you, I know it."

"Thank you Teddy, but I have to use this card right now. I destroy Assault Armour!" the Equip Spell was then destroyed.

Nekroz Of Trishula: 3000 - 2700 attack points

"So my monster can attack you twice per turn this turn!" she yelled out as Specter was taken aback, but he remained calm.

"So this was her strategy. Summon out Trishula to banish my Dryas so she could activate her Equip Spell and attack for game? That won't work against the Hanoi!" thought to himself Specter as he remained calm.

"Battle! Nekroz Of Trishula attacks you directly! Sub-Zero Slash!" she yelled out as Trishula nodded as he flew straight towards Specter as the man took a step backwards as his chest was slashed by the powerful Ritual monster.

Specter: 4000 - 1300 lp

Frostgirl: 4000 lp

Specter grinned, "You poor fool! Do you have amnesia?! Because you should remember the effect of Dyras! I can regain those life points and Special Summon 1 Sunvine Link Monster from my Extra Deck!" he yelled out as Dryas used her vines to wrap around Specter as he began to glow with a smirk on his face.

Specter: 1300 - 4000 lp

Frostgirl: 4000 lp

"Now appear! Link-1, Sunvine Gardna!" from the pods of Dryas appeared the same warrior that fought Stormrider. It knelt down as the monster revealed itself, it didn't look like a plant, instead it looked like a warrior, as the monster had brown skin with armour that was gray and brown at the same time, as he had shields around the arms and legs of the new monster. It rose up and glared at the Nekroz Of Trishula and 2 opponents.

(Sunvine Gardna: Link - Plant Earth - Attack: 600. Link-1. Link Arrows: Top-Middle.)

"Not that card." groaned Frostgirl as Flame sighed.

"I know, but it is better than fighting Sunvine Thrasher." he said as Frostgirl shrugged.

"I guess you are right! Go! Nekroz of Trishula! Attack Sunvine Gardna with Sub-Zero Slash!" she yelled out as Nekroz Of Trishula charged straight towards Sunvine Gardna as he slashed the entire monster from his hips, but Specter yelled out.

"Don't forget! Sunvine Gardna cuts all of the damage I take in half! Including the fact that The Battle Phase is now over!" he yelled as she sighed.

Specter: 4000 - 2950 lp

Frostgirl: 4000 lp

"I will set two cards face down," two cards were set vertically behind Nekroz Of Trishula as he returned to his mistress. She then took one last card from her hand, "Now, to play this old school card! Mirage Of Nightmare!" The Continuous Spell card materilazed in front of her as Flame crossed his arms.

"This card is interesting as during your Standby Phases, we get to draw 4 cards, but during one of our, we get to discard 4." said Flame as Specter nodded. He realized that card was a gold mine of opportunity.

"That's right and with that… I end my turn." said Frostgirl.

(A/N: End Theme, but play Cornered Duelist.)

Turn 3. Specter - 2950 lp - 2 cards,

"My oh my, it actually seems that you have worked your deck to a different version of it. How interesting. Oh I hope I have a way to get through it!" yelled Specter as he drew the top card of his deck.

"The effect of Mirage of Nightmares activates! During your Standby Phase, I get to draw until I have 4 cards!" Frostgirl yelled as she drew the top 4 cards of her deck as she looked at them and nodded. These cards are way too good to pass up.

"Mirage of Nightmares is a good card. Being one of the most played cards during the old duelists even by one of the Kings Of Games, Jaden Yuki. I would love to have that! So, how about I steal it!" yelled Specter as threw his hand to reveal his hand and picked a card, "I activate Sunvine Plunder!"

On his field materialized a Continuous Spell card, "By paying 800 life points, I get to target 1 face up Spell card on your side of the field and I can take control of that!" he yelled as Frostgirl widened her eyes from shock just by hearing that. Such a card exists? Tentacles flew from that card and took control of it.

"At least we won't pay the cost?" Flame tried to look on the bright side of this situation.

Specter: 2950 - 2150 lp

Frostgirl: 4000 lp

"Now, I will play the Spell Pot Of Greed!" the legendary pot appeared on the field, "With this, I can draw 2 cards from my deck!" he drew the top two cards from his deck and looked at them.

"Now to put out some of my Link monsters! I banish from my graveyard my Sunavalon Planting," a card appeared on the field only for it to disappear into data, "So I can special summon 1 of my banished Sunavalon, Sunvine or Sunseed monsters! Come out, Sunseed Genius Loci!"

The starter of his combo appeared on the field.

(Sunseed Genius Loci: Level 1 - Earth Plant - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)

"Oh no."

"Oh yes! I will now grow my circuit!" data appeared around Specter's hands as he then threw the data in the air. "The Summoning Conditions is 1 Plant Normal Monster so I set my Sunseed Genius Loci in the Link Arrows!" he yelled out as his lone Normal monster flew straight towards the Bottom Link Arrow.

"Come out, the warrior of the mother tree battling for her love! I Link Summon! Link-1, Sunvine Thrasher!" he yelled out as a monster came out that gave Seigen a horrific amount of hard time. It was a skinny monster with light blue skin that had green armour around his arms, torso and head, with tight blue pants with a massive rugged sword as well as a cape that was in a shape of a leaf. He was in Dryas' bottom Link Arrow.

(Sunvine Thrasher: Link - Earth Plant - Attack: 800. Link-1. Link Arrows: Bottom-Middle.)

"Here it is. The plant warrior one. Be careful around it, Frostgirl." said Flame as Frostgirl nodded.

"Oh I hardly doubt you will be safe. As I summon out my Sunseed Twin!" on his side of the field appeared a combo piece that she hated it looked so cute. There were two monsters wrapped in vines, as they looked like twins, with the only difference is the colour of the skin and eyes as the left one was blue skinned with pink eyes as the right one was pink skinned with green eyes.

(Sunseed Twin: Level 2 - Earth Plant - Attack: 0. Defense: 800.)

"Their effects now go off! I can now special summon 1 Sunseed monster from my graveyard," a card popped out of his graveyard as he then took it, "So I will summon my Sunseed Genius Loci!"

The normal monster reappeared on his side of the field.

(Sunseed Genius Loci: Level 1 - Earth Plant - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)

"Now, I will grow my circuit for the second time!" a circuit appeared on the field as Specter's grin went wide, "The Summoning Conditions are 2 Plant monsters! So I set my Link-1 Sunavalon Dryas and my Sunseed Twin in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as two monsters flew at them as they knew exactly which one he will be summoning out. The second version of his mother tree.

They prepared for the worst once they saw tentacles fly straight from the ground as Specter began to chant, "Appear, the mother tree that evolved to protect her offsprings, as her new grown power shields the very weather around them! I Link Summon! Link-2, Sunavalon Dryades!" the tree then grew into a bigger one as Frostgirl gritted her teeth seeing the massive tree. The leaves were more exotic, the woman inside of it was getting more and more Mature as there were several orange pods around the newly formed tree.

(Sunavalon Dryades: Link - Earth Plant - Attack: 0. Link-2. Link Arrows: Bottom-Left and Bottom-Right.)

There was one good thing though. "At least Sunavalon Dryades isn't pointing at Sunvine Thrasher." said Flame as Frostgirl nodded to that. The reason by that was, when Sunvine Thrasher was summoned, he was at Dryas' only Link Arrow, but now, when Dryades was Link Summoned, he wasn't at any of its Link Arrows.

"You are right with that, Flame." said Frostgirl.

"Ahh, but that won't matter to me in the slightest, since I have one more LInk Summon to do! I will grow my circuit for the third time!" the circuit appeared on the field, "The Summoning Conditions is 1 Plant Normal Monster! So I set my Sunseed Genius Loci in the Link Arrows!" the normal monster once again flew to the top Link Arrow of the Circuit.

"Appear, the healer to ones soul, of which the mother tree allows and treasures! I Link Summon! Link-1, Sunvine Healer!" he yelled at the top of his lungs as a new Link monster appeared on the field. It was a young lady that had light blue skin with green eyes, where she has vines around her body, wearing a pink dress, rocking pink shoes as she had yellow earrings and short yellow hair. She was at the Bottom-Left Link Arrow of Sunavalon Dryades.

(Sunvine Healer: Link - Earth Plant - Attack: 600. Link-1. Link Arrows: Top-Middle.)

"Sunvine Healer's effect! When she is Link Summoned, I can target 1 Sunavalon Link Monster on the field and I gain 300 life points for every Link Arrow it has, since Sunavalon Dryades has 2 Link Arrows, I gain a total of 600 life points." he said as then Sunvine Healer turned to him and blew a kiss as Specter glew red for a bit.

Specter: 2150 - 2750 lp

Frostgirl: 4000 lp

Specter's field was now filled to the brim of powerful and now, he had more life points than they could imagine of the current moment. It was something that they couldn't imagine happening so fast, yet the man was way too fast and adaptive. Like Mahoraga from a show they like to watch.

"Now, I would like to Equip my Sunvine Thrasher with this Equip Spell, Sunvine Cleaning!" he yelled as then a new card appeared, with an image showing Sunvine Thrasher brandishing his sword.

"I will say the effect quickly, but for now… BATTLE! Sunvine Thrasher attacks Nekroz Of Trishula! Slash Of The Mother Tree!" he yelled as the monster charged straight towards Nekroz Of Trishula as the powerful warrior charged straight towards the Link-1 monster.

"If you want to lose so badly, then here! Ice Barrier! This card allows your battling monster to lose all of his attack points!" yelled Frostgirl as her set card revealed itself as then ice then began to surround Sunvine Thrasher, but then Specter grinned.

"You think that is going to stop me?! During the battle, Sunvine Thrasher gains attack points equal to the monster it is battling against! Not to mention, if my monster would be destroyed, I can simply negate that effect!" he yelled as they gasped hearing that.

Sunvine Thrasher: 800 - 0 - 2700 attack points

"Oh byte! That means that-"

"He can gain the control of Nekroz Of Trishula!" she yelled as Sunvine Thrasher raised his hands with the sword in his hands as he slashed him downwards. Nekroz of Trishula returned the attack at the Link-1, creating a small explosion.

Sunvine Thrasher was the only one that was on the field as Specter yelled out, "Precisely! Now, thanks to Thrasher's effect, the monster destroyed is summoned on one of my Link Arrows!" yelled out Specter as from the tentacles coming out of Dryades, she pulled out Frostgirl's strongest Ritual monster as he was glaring down at her with red eyes. He was at Dryades' Right Link Arrow.

(Nekroz Of Trishula: Ritual - Level 9 - Water Warrior - Attack: 2700. Defense: 2000.)

The man's entire field was now filled to the brim of powerful monsters. He has a monster that can heal him, a monster that could bring out powerful monsters when dealt damage, a great offensive monster and now her own monster.

"And here is the counter attack! Sunvine Healer and Nekroz Of Trishula attacks you directly! Draining Frost Slash!" he yelled as both monsters went on for the offensive as Sunvine Healer blew out a kiss at her while Nekroz Of Trishula raised his ice sword at her and slashed her as she slid her foot.

"Here is the kicker, when a Link Monster I control deals you damage, I gain a total of 600 life points!" Sunvine Healer turned around Specter and blew a kiss straight towards him as he glew red.

Specter: 2750 - 3350 lp

Frostgirl: 4000 - 1300 - 700 lp

"Frostgirl, are you alright?!" yelled in concern Flame as Frostgirl looked at him.

"Yeah, I am, don't worry. I just need to find a way to get through to him." she said as Specter chuckled at that.

"Get through me? That is a funny joke, but please, show me how are you going to defeat me. I am interested," he said as he took the last card from his hand, "I end my turn by setting a card face down." a card was set vertically behind Sunvine Healer, Thrasher and Nekroz Of Trishula before disappearing.

Turn 4. Frostgirl - 700 lp - 4 cards

"However, there is something humorous that I want to tell you that might be interesting for you." said Specter as Frostgirl looked at him in confusion.

What could that be?

INTRO!

(A/N: Play Kizuna no Kiseki from Demon Slayer.)

We see a collection of duelists' duel disk as they were shown to be drawn by different duelists such as: Soulburner, Frostgirl, Stormrider, Gore, Kitamura, Ghost Gal, Specter and finally, Varis, but when he was shown of drawing his last card, the scenery changed to Soulburner with Flame on his shoulder standing in a lone deserted town.

As then we see Soulburner at the front, Flame on his left shoulder, Frostgirl on his left and Stormrider to his right as then they went to the right with the title saying "Bring The Heat, Soulburner!"

Running through the dark night, where are we headed?

We first see a room where Seigen on his laptop trying to code with Flame looking over in interest as Kiku and Theodore are trying their best to study.

Only the moonlight is our sole guide

We then see Varis and Specter standing beside each other as Varis sees a screen looking over their strongest monsters.

Pain and sadness cannot be erased

Then we see a tiny boy looking over a screen showing 6 children around his age in an experiment known as The Lost Incident with horror on his face.

But the flames in our hearts cannot be extinguished

We see Gore sitting down in his arena, remembering those days of when he was orphan with no one there to comfort him, but he then stood up with a smile on his face, trying to show the other orphans that he is ready to take them down.

For whom do we persist with these feelings?

As then we see the backs of previous legendary duelists from before their time as slowly, but surely, it went around to see Gore, Stormrider, Frostgirl and Soulburner, which the four turned around with determined looks on their faces.

We'll tear through the darkness and into the light

As then the turned to see Varis and Specter nodding to each other as they both appeared in the same city.

Until the day when we can shine

We then see Stormrider and Gore looking shocked, Frostgirl looking terrified and finally Soulburner and Flame looking determined to finally see the time of day.

Oh fire, born within our liberated hearts

We see Specter with a wild grin on his face as his Sunavalon Dryatrentiay threw out its roots at the battling Ho-Oh, The Reincarnation of Nephthys and General Edward Of The Ice Barrier as Stormrider and Frostgirl grit their teeth at him.

Rise up and surround us, toward the other side of dawn

We then see Varis unleashing Borrelsword, Borrelguard and Borreload Dragons like a maniac as Gore roared as he summoned out his Gouki Destroy Ogre, Gouki Undertaker Ogre and two more Ogres at him.

Until we can lovе this world once more

We then see Flame looking at the sky, finally realizing the true purpose of his existence as he looked like he found his inner peace.

Even if our livеs come to an end, let's stay connected

We then see Soulburner at what looked like he was covered in flames as his Salamangreat Violet Chimera, Pyro Phoenix, Blaze Dragon, Emerald Eagle and his new Synchro monster were battling against Varis who had his Borreload Dragon, Borreload Savage Dragon, Borreload eXCharge Dragon, Borreload Riot Dragon and Borreload Furious Dragon.

To the miracle woven by our bond

After the monsters were destroyed, all that left was a Soulburner who looked not angered or sad, but joyous while Varis had a smile on his face as their fields had Salamangreat Heatleo and Topologic Zeroboros, as when the two crashed…

Theodore, Flame, Kiku and Seigen were watching the beautiful coast line.

The duel between Specter and Frostgirl has only just been begun as Specter was in the lead in terms of cards on the field and life points, while Frostgirl was in the lead in terms of cards in hand.

"You don't know, do you?" asked Specter as they raised an eyebrow at that.

"No! What are you even talking about?" asked Frostgirl as Specter chuckled.

"Remember when Baira told you that she was the cause of the Deleted Virus? And that you were her guinea pig of the start of that?" asked Specter as he chuckled, "But do you know who truly started that?" asked Specter, "Or more importantly, remember the new card you have been given by a fan?"

Frostgirl began to remember that day. It was one of their usual days at the start of defeating the Knights of Hanoi, until a fan had given Dark Sorcery of The Ice Barrier, but she wondered. What did that have to do with anythi-

"No." she quickly got together what he meant by that as she took a step as Flame stood in silence after hearing that.

"Oh yes, that card was the reason why the whole Deleted Incident began! The whole virus was created because of that card! And why you were possessed." he grinned, "And you don't even who was the kid that gave you, right? You thought it was just a fan that gave you that powerful card by accident?!" Frostgirl gripped her hand.

"Well, here is something that will blow your mind. That kid that gave you that card, was not other me!" Specter pointed his thumb at himself with a sadistic grin on his face, "Specter!"

Frostgirl, no, Kiku was silent as she heard that.

There was no way that was possible.

But the way he spoke, the way he looked.

Everything was truthful.

"So, it was you." she said with so much venom in her voice that Specter almost took a step backwards. "The person that caused not only me, but to everyone that I cared about pain!" she looked up as Specter saw pure hatred in her eyes.

"Soulburner, Flame, Stormrider, my brother and my parents! You were the cause of everything that went wrong with that day! I almost lost my boyfriend and Flame when they were dueling your leader! All because of that stupid card?!" Kiku yelled out, "Do you have any idea what it was like?!"

"Do you?! To be trapped in an empty dark void, devoid of life or even people, floating around the place like you were nothing more than a spec in the endless world of darkness, swimming to it like it was a swimming pool of it!" yelled Kiku as she closed her eyes, "I couldn't touch anything, I couldn't move a muscle, I couldn't hear anything, I couldn't even scream, for even just a drop of somebody to save me from the endless world of misery. It was all… because of YOU!" she pointed at Specter as she reopened her eyes.

"Frostgirl…" said Flame as he never thought he would hear that from his own friend. Someone that was in pain during it as she wasn't the only one that was in a painful situation.

Frostgirl took a deep breath. "Flame… let's kick this guy in the butt!" she yelled as Flame nodded.

"Right!" he yelled as they looked at him and his unflinching persona.

"I DRAW!" yelled Frostgirl as she drew the top card of her deck.

"Don't forget, thanks to your Mirage of Nightmare, I get to draw until I have 4 cards in my hand." he yelled as he drew the top 4 cards from his deck with a wicked smirk on his face.

"Hope you have a Kuriboh because this blizzard will freeze everything you have on the field! I will start by activating Graceful Charity! I will begin my drawing 3 cards from my deck," she said as the Spell card materialized in front of them as she drew the top 3 cards from her deck, "for the price of discarding two," she frowned as she saw her Dark Sorcery Of The Ice Barrier as it and a Spell card.

"Now! The effect of Card Of Compensation is in place! When it is discarded, I can draw 2 cards from my deck!" she yelled as she drew the top card of her deck as she looked at her new hand. She grinned, "I will start by playing Zuijin of The Ice Barrier!"

On her side of the field, appeared a lady wearing a helmet on her face that covered her face as it was ocean blue, with her wearing a blue scarf around her neck as she wore a standard samurai like outfit with a black uniform and a white jacket, but her jacket was designed neatly in a way of stars in the galaxy, as she wore a sword that was made out of pure cold ice.

"Allow me to explain her effect! You see, we can tribute this monster in order to special summon 1 Level 5 or higher Ice Barrier monster in our hand!" yelled Flame as she nodded.

"That's right, so I sacrifice her to special summon General Gantala of The Ice Barrier!" she yelled out as her Zuijin forbid them farewell as she disappeared into data and in her place appeared a new monster.

It was a powerful looking general as he was a dark skinned bald male as he had an impressive build, as he had the Ice Barrier mark on his forehead, as well as behind him, as his hands were incased in blue aura and had ice around his biceps. The rest of his attire are beige pants and a green robe around his waist.

"Hmm…. a monster with 2700 attack points, you say? That is mighty fine impressive. That is as strong as your Trishula!" he yelled as Frostgirl narrowed her eyes at him.

"Yeah, but that is just the start. I remove 2 Stars from Gantala so I can summon back from my graveyard my Zuijin!" a card appeared on Frostgirl's duel disk as she then took it and slammed it on the duel disk. From it appeared, Zuijin as he was right next to Gantala.

General Gantala Of The Ice Barrier: Level 7 - 5

"Now for some real fun! I activate Double Summon! This card allows me to normal summon twice per turn! I already used up the first normal summon." she said as her Spell card materialized in front of her, but then she took a card from her hand, "However, that won't matter! I normal summon Revealer Of The Ice Barrier!" she yelled out as then a familiar looking monster appeared.

It was a young beautiful woman. She had long red hair that was almost designed in a hair bun, as she wore a nice looking dress that was blue and light blue. Around it, there was a light blue cloth as she wielded a staff.

"Wow, three monsters already? You have grown a lot, Frostgirl. You must be so proud." said Specter as he stood there quietly, looking at his opponent.

"I am afraid that flattery won't get you anywhere. Am I right, Frostgirl?" asked Flame as she nodded.

"Spot on. Now, since I control an Ice Barrier monster, I can summon this monster! Come out, Speaker For The Ice Barrier!" she yelled as then another monster appeared on the field and this time, it was a small girl with blue hair, gray eyes, wearing a white and black dress that had yellow lining as it looked very comfortable, along side her was a Shiba inu.

(Speaker For The Ice Barrier: Level 4 - Water Spellcaster - Attack: 1000. Defense: 1800.)

"Now… I have never thought you would be skilled enough to summon 4 monsters in the same turn? You have truly grew as a duelist." clapped Specter, but they all knew it was a fake one.

"So, what will you do next? Ritual Summon? Synchro Summon? Link Summon?!" he said with excitement as he couldn't wait, but to control them all in his next turn.

"Right now? Nothing, but for one more Special Summon!" she yelled as she took a card from her hand.

"That's right! Thanks to Revealer's effect, we can discard 1 card from our hand, so we could special summon 1 Ice Barrier tuner monster from our deck!" Specter raised an eyebrow at the sudden change as a card disappeared and turned into data. She then took a card from her deck and slammed it on her field.

As then on her side of the field, filling up her entire monster zones, appeared a rather large Shiba Inu, as the monster's fur was more developed than the one that was near Speaker, as on the tail were ice as well as wearing blue and white armour around his feet, chest and head. While looking at Speaker, he ran up to her, as both he and the other Shiba Inu got their pats on the head.

Specter, for the first time, stayed quiet as he fully saw the strength of Frostgirl. He realized that even though compared to the other Synchro Archetypes like Synchron and Speedroids they aren't that strong, the Ice Barriers are decently strong with their Synchro monsters.

"This is the strength you wanted to show me? Your Synchro potential is something to be impressed by, even comparing to Master Varis." said Specter as Frostgirl stopped for a moment.

"Time… To Synchro Summon!" the entire world greyed out as then she was struck by blue lightning around her as Flame tried to look cool, "I tune my Level 2 Zuijin of The Ice Barrier with my Level 4 Revealer of The Ice Barrier!" she yelled out as then her two monsters began to turn into rings.

Zuijin Of The Ice Barrier turned into 2 green rings that surrounded each other as Revealer turned into 4 orange rings that surrounded each other as they combined into each other as they turned into 6 blue rings on top of each other.

2 + 4 = 6!

She then began to chant, "Appear, the dragon from the ice as its breath can turn its enemies into the very ice! I Synchro Summon! Appear! Level 6, Brionac, Dragon Of The Ice Barrier!" as then on her side of the field appeared a massive serpent like monster on the field, as the colour of the ice was that of dark blue, as its breath was icy cold with a dark glare looking at his opponent. It unfolded its wings looking at his opponent.

"And that… was just the first one!" she yelled out as then a second blue lightning bolt came crashing down on her as the entire world greyed out as Flame looked cool for a second time, "I tune my Level 3 Defender Of The Ice Barrier with my Level 4 Speaker For The Ice Barrier!" she yelled out as then her two monsters began to turn into rings.

Defender Of The Ice Barrier turned into 3 green rings that surrounded each other as Speaker turned into 4 orange rings that surrounded each other as they combined into each other as they turned into 7 blue rings on top of each other.

3 + 4 = 7!

She then began to chant, "Appear, the dragon whose very own entry causes a never ending blizzard of destruction! I Synchro Summon! Gungnir, Dragon of The Ice Barrier!" she yelled out as then a powerful dragon appeared from it. It was a large monster that doubled the size of her Brionac as the insides were red as they were burning inside of it as the monster's wings were sharper and larger than that of normal dragons. It looked at Specter's field and roared.

Her field was complete and she knew it. Flame looked at it with awe. Two powerful Synchro monsters and a worthy monster to be named General. Things like this is what make even the worst hands worth it.

"I did it! I am almost done with this turn and you are going to pay!" a card appeared on her duel disk, "Normally, I have to discard a card to activate Brionac's effect, but now? It won't be necessary! You see, all I have to do is to banish Revealer from my graveyard," the card disappeared into data, "So I could now activate his effect! Your monsters go bye bye, or more specifically, your Sunavalon Dryades!" she yelled out as Brionac shot a powerful beam of ice straight towards the massive tree.

"Hope you have a new seed for the new chopped down tree of yours!" remarked Flame, but to their horror, that is exactly what Specter had.

"Well, since you so kindly asked, come out, Sunvine Maiden!" he yelled out as then a small little girl appeared on the field. She had pink skin, green eyes and purple hair as her dress was wrapped with vines.

"You see, when a card activates that would target a monster I control, I can special summon her from my hand and negate that effect!" Specter yelled as a barrier was formed that practically shot the ice to a different direction.

"...dang it." she sighed as she looked at the rest of her hand. "Alright, before I start with the battle, I have a few things to say. The first is that, the card that I sent to the graveyard when activating the effect of Revealer was my Mirror Magic Master, which allows me to add 1 Ice Barrier monster from my deck to my hand." she said.

"Then! I banish from my graveyard my Ice Barrier, as I send a Level 5 or higher Ice Barrier monster from my deck to my graveyard," she said as she took a card from her deck and sent it to the graveyard as she then took the card from the same place that she just sent a card, "so I can add a card back to my hand." she said.

"Now. it is time to battle! Gungnir will attack your Sunvine Thrasher with Ice Breath!" she yelled as she threw her hand out along with Flame. From the mouth that appeared a strong gust of power as the icy wind became solid as then it was shot straight towards Specter's Link monster.

"Well, I would take half the damage! You see, thanks to Damage Diet, all the damage I would take normally is reduced to half!" he yelled as then he covered himself as his Sunvine Thrasher yelled in pain.

Specter: 3350 - 2100 lp

Frostgirl: 700 lp

"Well, you won't win, but at least some of his defense will go down with him." said Flame as she sighed.

"I guess. General Gantala attacks Nekroz Of Trishula! Ice Punch!" she yelled as then Gantala's entire fist was covered in ice as he ran straight towards his fellow monster as he raised his sword at him.

"Ah-Ah-AH! Both monsters will be destroyed in mutual destruction, remember?! Both monsters have the same amount of attack points!" he yelled as Nekroz Of Trishula charged at the General as he swung his sword straight at him as when it reached his throat and cut his head off, Gantala delivered a punch so hard, his organs practically exploded.

"I knew that! I simply didn't want your grumpy hands on my card! This will be the last attack of the turn! Brionac, freeze Sunvine Healer! Ice Beam!" from the mouth of the powerful Ice Dragon began to charge up a proud and powerful beam of power as it was then shot straight towards the poor monster as she looked sad when the attack landed on her.

Specter: 2100 - 1350 lp

Frostgirl: 700 lp

"You just triggered my mother tree's effect! When I take damage, I recover all of the damage that I had taken and I can summon out a powerful Plant Link monster from my Extra Deck!" he yelled out as then the vines wrapped around Specter as he had a massive grin on his face.

Specter: 1350 - 2100 lp

Frostgirl: 700 lp

"And now, I will summon from my Extra Deck, the second copy of my Sunvine Healer!" he yelled out as then from one of the pods came out Sunvine Healer.

"Don't forget about her effect, Frostgirl! I gain 600 life points when she is summoned!" Specter yelled out as he glew red for a bit.

"You know what? I am just glad that I took out most of his field." said Frostgirl as she took one last card from her hand, "I will activate Damage Off Zone!" she yelled out as her new Continuous Spell card appeared in front of them.

"This card allows for the both of us to lose half of the battle damage that we would've usually take. So think of your Damage Diet, but more as a Continuous Spell card." explained Flame as Frostgirl took a deep breath. Even with 2 powerful Synchro Monsters, she felt nervous being in a battle against him.

"That is all that I could do. Your move." she said.

Turn 5. Specter - 2700 lp - 3 cards

"Hmm… a card that can halve the damage? That will be tough to get through, but I think I will manage. I draw!" he yelled as he drew the top card of his deck.

"Don't forget the downside of Mirage Of Nightmare that you took from us! You have to discard your entire hand!" yelled out Flame as Specter smirked.

"I am afraid that I won't lose anything!" both of them looked shocked as Specter quickly showed his hand and picked a card from his hand, "I activate Twister! By paying 500 life points, I can destroy 1 Face Up Spell or Trap card on either side of the field, so I will choose my Sunvine Plunder!" he yelled out as a strong gust of wind appeared on the field and went to his Continuous Spell card, destroying it and the Mirage Of Nightmare.

The Mirage of Nightmare went straight towards Frostgirl's graveyard.

Specter: 2700 - 2200 lp

Frostgirl: 700 lp

"Well…. dang it." said Frostgirl as Flame sighed.

"At least he won't draw 4 cards on our turn." said Flame.

"Now, I won't usually play this card, but Master Varis gave us this card for you specifically. I activate Soul Release!" he yelled out as they gasped hearing that. That was the same card Baira used! "WIth this card, I can banish up to 5 cards in your graveyard! The cards I will banish is Dark Sorcery of The Ice Barrier, Nekroz Mirror, Nekroz of Trishula, General Gantala and General Grunrad of The Ice Barrier!"

5 cards appeared above Frostgirl as the five cards went to a purple portal that almost destroyed them just by entering that.

This crippled her deck for many reasons: She almost has no powerful monsters in the graveyard that she could revive from, Dark Sorcery would've helped for more Synchro plays and now she couldn't activate most of her Nekroz plays.

"Now, if you excuse me, time for me to summon Sunseed Genius Loci!" both Flame and Frostgirl groaned just hearing that name as the monster appeared on the field.

"I swear it is like he is in love with that card." said Frostgirl as Flame nodded with that. It was getting stale at this point.

"Well, you could say that I am in love with growing my circuit!" on his side of the field appeared a massive circuit with a grin on his face, "The Summoning Conditions is 1 Plant monster! So I set my Sunvine Maiden in the Link Arrows!" Specter yelled out as the monster flew straight at the top Link Arrow.

"Link The Circuit! I Link Summon! Link-1, Sunvine Gardna!" he yelled out as on the right Link Arrow of Dryades appeared a monster that helped him out on both duels against the people that dared to cross the Knights of Hanoi.

"Wait a minute… 1 Sunseed Genius Loci, 1 Sunavalon Dryades in the Extra Monster Zone and 2 Link Sunvine Monsters… he couldn't be…" Flame widened his eyes as Frostgirl stood in shock.

"This early?!"

"That's right! I will now grow my circuit for the second time, and this one will be for my mother tree!" a massive circuit appeared on the field, but it wasn't in the air, instead, it was under Dryades, "The Summoning Conditions are at least 2 Link monsters, so I set my Link-1 Sunvine Healer, Link-1 Sunvine Gardna and my Link-2 Sunavalon Dryades in the Link Arrows!" he yelled out as then all three of his monsters flew to the Link Arrows.

The entire ground began to shake as Frostgirl almost fell and couldn't pick herself upwards as even Gungnir and Brionac were troubled by the mini earthquake happening in Link Vrains, as that wasn't it as two massive tentacles flew from the ground as Specter grinned. Happy to see his mother.

He began to chant, "The Sacred Tree, the mother tree, show, to protect your loved one from harm and show everyone that harms him true pain! I Link Summon! Connect the worlds, Link-4, Sunavalon Dryatrentiay!" It was a massive tree that made Gungnir and Brionac look like toys, as it was fully developed. The leaves were now that of Sakura flowers, the tree was larger, as there were tentacles all around the newly summoned monster, as the pods were purple and all over the newly summoned monster. From the trunk was a woman that looked at Specter and smiled gently at him. It was on the left Extra Monster zone.

Frostgirl and Flame looked over at the monster that Specter defeated their friend with. The monster that has no equal as it represents Specter's true mother as Specter looked at her with a happy smile on his face.

"Mother…" he said with a smile on his face as he then turned to Frostgirl, "You know, this reminds me of something. Have you ever heard of the legend and myth of Yggdrasil?"

"The what?" she asked as Flame knew where it was from.

"Yggdrasil. It is from Norse Mythology." he said as a book appeared on Specter's hands. "I will be honest, Master Varis and I are more into Roman and Greek Mythologies, but that doesn't mean we don't like to read about different Mythologies and this one is too interesting not to talk about."

He opened the book and revealed the image of Yggdrasil and they noted one thing from it. It was tree, like Dryatrentiay. "In the mythos, Yggdrasil is a massive tree, a Sacred Tree, if you would. It is an ash tree that is the center of the cosmos and is holy. Not to mention… it is the connector of the worlds. Of all 9 Worlds! Those are Asgard, Alfheim, Muspelheim, Jotunheimr, Hel, Niovallir, NIflheim, Vanheim and Midgard, or more commonly known as, Earth."

They were quiet as Specter continued to talk about the legend of Yggdrasil. "Think of Yggdrasil as the Bifrost from Marvel, as Gods use it on the daily. Loki, Thor, Odin and more. Now, you might be asking on why am I talking about this? Well the answer is quite simple." his face turned to Sunavalon Dryatrentiay, "I like to think that my Sunavalon Dryatrentiay, my mother tree, will be the Yggdrasil that the Knights of Hanoi will use!" he yelled as they were confused to hear about that.

"Excuse me?"

"I don't quite follow." they both said.

Specter chuckled. "What I mean… is that you are the only one that knows the pathway of the Cyberse, right? Well, think about this. In the Norse Mythology, there are 9 Realms, but in this, there are 3 Realms! Real Life, Link VRAINS and now… the Cyberse! Right now, the first two realms are almost connected as the missing link is that of the Cyberse Realm! Sunavalon Dryatrentiay will be the one to connect us to the Cyberse! Raining Supreme against the rest of the Cyberse Monsters as we are done of you! Destroying them as thanks to you and Sunavalon Dryatrentiay. After your defeat, we will thank you for your help as we have successfully connected the 3 Realms!" he yelled out as they took several steps backwards.

"Starting with the connection of the 3 Realms, I will grow my circuit for the third time!" a circuit appeared on the field, "The Summoning Conditions is 1 Plant Normal monster, so I set my Sunseed Genius Loci in the Link Arrows!" he yelled as the lone normal monster flew at high speeds.

"Link The Circuit! I Link Summon! Link-1, Sunvine Thrasher!" he yelled out as then the monster that manages to keep coming back was summoned on the field as it will be Niohoggr of the Yggdrasil. It was on the middle of the Dryatrentiay's Link Arrow.

(Sunvine Thrasher: Link - Earth Plant - Attack: 800. Link-1. Link Arrows: Bottom-Middle.)

"Sunvine Thrasher's effect activates! I can target 1 Sunavalon monster on the field and my monster gains 800 attack points for every Link Arrow! My Sunavalon Dryatrentiay has 4 Link Arrows, so he gains 3200 attack points!" yelled out Specter as his Thrasher roared in power.

Sunvine Thrasher: 800 - 4000 attack points

"He has enough attack points that attacking either or doesn't really matter because you will lose the duel even if you do have Damage Off Zone on the field!" yelled Specter as he threw his hand out, "Battle! Sunvine Thrasher attacks your Gungnir, Dragon of The Ice Barrier! Slash of the Mother Tree!" he yelled out as the swordsman charged straight at Gungnir.

"Frostgirl!"

"I got it, Flame! Damage Off Zone has a different effect! I can pay half of my life points and I don't take any battle damage for the rest of this turn!" she yelled out as she glew blue for a moment.

"But your monster will still get destroyed!" Specter yelled out as Sunvine Thrasher continued to charge at the monster in high speeds as Gungnir tried to stop it as he fired a strong beam made out of the strongest ice around, but Sunvine Thrasher slashed the beam as hard as he could and continued to run at it. He then slashed Gungnir's head off.

Frostgirl: 700 - 350 lp

"Don't forget Sunvine Thrasher's effect! I can re summon the destroyed monster to one of Dryatrentiay's Link Arrows!" Specter yelled as the tentacles flew towards the ground and picked up the remains of Gungnir as it looked back and roared at her former master.

"Now, Gungnir, how about you celebrate your new ownership by destroying Brionac! Ice Breath!" from the mouth of the powerful dragon came out wind that was so cold, so shivering, that it made the cold dragon break into pieces as it was turned into ice.

"Brionac!" yelled Frostgirl in shock.

"I think I did a decent job at destroying your field, so I will set 2 cards face down and end my turn." two cards were set vertically behind Sunvine Thrasher and Gungnir, Dragon of The Ice Barrier.

Frostgirl took a deep breath. "Flame… This duel has been going far too long." said Frostgirl as Flame nodded to his friends words.

"I have to agree with you there, however I think that is difficult to do. Even with our current hand." said Flame.

"Are you saying that you are giving up on me?" asked Frostgirl with a smile on her face.

"No, I am not. I am saying that the odds are almost stacked against us and you know that our set card can't do much," said Flame as Frostgirl sighed. She knew that he was right. The set card was her Frozen Domain Leading to The Ice Barrier. It was a good card that basically negates any negation to her cards and she could return a monster to the deck, but there is a downside and that is she has to return an Ice Barrier monster to her hand which is a high risk in a duel like this and can't help her this turn.

"Yeah, sadly, but hey. I still have a hand." she said as Flame nodded with her.

"True, but I think it is time for us to go all out, to summon a monster that I can't wait. You know which one, right?" he asked as she nodded. It was the perfect monster for the job as Specter raised an eyebrow at what they are saying, but will soon see what they are talking about.

"Him? Alright, since you asked so nicely. Let's," she looked at her opponent, "End this duel. Right here and now!" she yelled as then a card appeared on her duel disk as she then took it, "I DRAW!" she yelled as she drew the top card of her deck. She looked at it. She smirked.

"Specter! You are going down this turn! Understand?!" she yelled as she swiped her hand to reveal a card from her hand, "I will start of by playing Final Offguard!" The spell card appeared on the field. "Since you are the only controlling a monster from the Extra Deck and you have higher life points, I can draw 2 cards from my deck!" she yelled as she drew the top 2 cards from her deck.

"Now, I play my Foolish Burial, as I will send my Prior of The Ice Barrier to the graveyard," a card appeared on her duel disk as she then took it and sent it to the graveyard, "Now, I summon my Defender of The Ice Barrier!" she yelled as then a familiar looking Shiba Inu appeared on the field.

(Defender Of The Ice Barrier: Level 3 - Tuner - Water Aqua - Attack: 200. Defense: 1100.)

"Oh that doggy? What are you going to do? Give him treats and make him sit on the floor?" he asked as Frostgirl smiled at him.

"Nope, but trust me, you wished that I did." she swiped her hand to reveal one of her favourite monster that wasn't her Link, Ritual or Synchro monster and it quickly began to become one of her staples of the deck, "Since you control a monster and I control an Ice Barrier monster, I can summon out this bad boy! General Wayne Of The Ice Barrier!"

The monster in question was a man with tan skin with an impressive build. The man wore a helmet that covered his eyes, a long black torn cape that went purple to the bottom, as he wore a samurai like clothing around the bottom of his chest, as the armour he wore was aquatic blue as he wore a small sword that the handle were also brass knuckles.

(General Wayne Of The Ice Barrier: Level 5 - Water Warrior - Attack: 2100. Defense: 400.)

"He has an amazing effect! When he is summoned, it doesn't matter how, we can add 1 Ice Barrier Spell or Trap from our decks!" explained Flame as a card appeared from Frostgirl's deck as she took it.

"Which I will now activate! Go! Freezing Chains Of The Ice Barrier!" she yelled out as the Continuous Spell card materialized on the field as then a massive pillar of ice came crashing down behind Frostgirl as around it were several yellow chains and inside of it was a dragon. The dragon looked hungry for a battle.

"This card, when activated, allows me to special summon 1 Level 4 or lower Ice Barrier monster from my graveyard!" a card appeared from her duel disk as she then took it, "Some come out, Speaker For The Ice Barrier!" on her side of the field appeared Speaker as then Defender ran up to her, happily wagging his tail, getting some head pats from her.

"Three monsters… Level 7, no, you don't have another one… Level 8, no I doubt that, perhaps a Level 12 Synchro monster? Oh who am I kidding… you are summoning that monster." said Specter with malice in his words. "The one that you needed to defeat Baira,"

"The one and only! Let's go Flame!" she yelled as Flame nodded.

"Right! Let's summon out our strongest monster!" he yelled.

Ice appeared around Frostgirl's hands as it was quickly turning into a blizzard as she threw her hand out, "I will now thaw out my circuit!" she threw her hand out as then a massive Circuit appeared above them, "The Summoning Conditions are at least 2 Water Monsters, so I set my Speaker For The Ice Barrier, Defender of The Ice Barrier and General Wayne of the Ice Barrier in the Link Arrows!" she yelled as all of her monsters flew at the Link Arrows.

Frostgirl began to chant, "Come out! The Warrior that is like a King of the mages, as all of the dragons kneel at your own piercing presence! I Link Summon! Link-3, General Edward Of The Ice Barrier!" as then on her Right Extra Monster Zone. The monster appeared as Gungnir screamed in terror of just looking at him.

It was an old man, an old mage that looked like he reached he was in his 60-ies, with gray hair with front hair having a light blue highlight and him having dark blue eyes, as he had scars on his forehead and around his nose, as he had a mustache and a royale beard. He wore a royal styled uniform, as it was light blue with yellow stripes going in a down style, as he wore white gloves and boots and to top it off, he wore a dark cape with fluffy ends with the robe.

Specter was watching this monster as he didn't looked impressed looking at the monster as Sunvine Thrasher was ready to strike him down, Sunavalon Dryatrentiay wrapped her vines around Specter in order to protect him as Gungnir looked terrified being near this monster. Not human, but monster. What he did in the past, he might as well have fought the X-Sabers, Flamvells and Mist Valleys on his own. He was unstoppable.

There was no other reason why even now, out of the Ice Barriers, he was considered The Wizard King, as no one could match him in power. Even the monster in the chains stayed quiet seeing him.

"There he is. The monster that defeated Baira all on his own." Specter said as Flame couldn't stop admiring the powerful monster.

"That's right! He will be the one that will bring the curtain to this duel! When he is Link Summoned, I get to special summon 1 Ice Barrier monster from my graveyard! Come out! Brionac, Dragon Of The Ice Barrier! World End Church!" she yelled out as Edward raised his hand upwards as a massive church appeared as from it Brionac flew from it.

(Brionac, Dragon Of The Ice Barrier: Synchro - Level 6 - Water Sea Serpent - Attack: 2300. Defense: 1400.)

"Normally, I would attack the strongest guy here and that is your Sunvine Thrasher, but, he has more than enough attack points for you to activate your Dryatrentiay, so I think I will move to a different strategy!" she pointed straight at Gungnir, which, when Edward looked at him, they swear they heard the noise that dragons could scream in agony.

"Battle! General Edward attacks! Gungnir, sorry to say this, but you are getting burned!" yelled Flame as Edward nodded as he flew straight towards the air and looked at Gungnir with a glare.

"That is not all! He tributes 1 monster that he points to during the Battle Phase, so I am sorry to say this, Brionac, but we need your help!" Frostgirl yelled as Brionac flew straight towards Edward as the lone mage reached his hand out as he was then absorbed into as Edward grew stronger.

General Edward Of The Ice Barrier: 2500 - 4800 attack points

Specter narrowed his eyes as he did the math. That is just enough for him to lose the duel. He stayed quiet for a moment.

"Time to end this! World End Blizzard!" both of them yelled at the same time as then Edward put his two hands together in palm as he concentrated enough power in his hands as for a second, snow appeared, as then a massive hurricane flew straight towards his monsters that were going at high speeds that went by so fast that it couldn't be registered. Gungnir roared in agony as it exploded.

A massive explosion happened as it basically nuked the surronding area as the church turned into data that protected the two from harm.

A second passed.

And then another.

"We did it, Flame." said Frostgirl.

"We did it!"

"We won!"

"Or did you?"

They widened their eyes as they than saw a Specter standing still without an inch of a scratch on him.

Specter: 2200 lp

Frostgirl: 350 lp

"H-how?" she asked as Specter chuckled.

"Simple. Defense Draw. When I would take battle damage from an attack, I can simply activate this card to negate the damage even if it didn't negate my monster's destruction. Not to mention, I can draw a card from my deck." Specter said as he drew the top card of his deck.

"Our best monster."

"Was negated…" Frostgirl gritted her teeth as she took a card form her hand, "I end my turn as I set this card." a card was set vertically behind General Edward as it then disappeared.

Turn 7. Specter - 2200 lp - 1 card

"My turn, and I will make sure that it will be the last turn of the duel! I draw!" he yelled at the top of his lungs as he drew the top card of his deck. He swiped his hand as he saw two cards that he normally wouldn't play unless it is necessary, but right now? They were perfect for this turn.

"I will begin by playing my mother tree's special effect!" they widened their eyes hearing that, "You see, I can target one card on my side of the field, one Link monster specifically and tribute it," his Sunvine Thrasher disappeared into data, "So I could now destroy one set card you have on the field! I target your left one! Go, my mother tree! My Yggdrasil! Sunavalon Dryatrentiay! Destroy her set card!" he yelled out as then one tentacle went straight towards at one of the set cards.

She grunted, "Not so fast! I activate the effect of Mirror Shade! By paying half of my life points, for the rest of this turn, I don't take damage from your monster!" she yelled as a rainbow barrier appeared around her.

"That won't stop me from destroying your other set card! Go, mother! Destroy her set card!" yelled Specter as the tentacle went straight towards Frostgirl's set card as the card revealed itself to be Frozen Domain Leading to The Ice Barrier which the tentacle went through without any issues.

Specter: 2200 lp

Frostgirl: 350 - 175 lp

"Oh dear, that means that my monster can't deal you damage how sad, I may shed a tear." Specter wiped his eyes like he was crying, but found no tears from it. "Oh well, there is something that I can do. That is activating my set card Sunavalon Protect!" his set card revealed itself as they widened their eyes as they now know what they can and can not do.

"Oh byte."

"Oh byte indeed! As it is just the start! Now… I think it is time for me to activate the Spell card, Link Recovery!" his Spell card materialized in front of him, "With this, I can revive one Link monster from my graveyard! Come out, Sunvine Thrasher!" he yelled as then in the middle of Dryatrentiay's Link Arrow, appeared Sunvine Thrasher.

"Now normally, when I activate this effect, you have to draw a card depending if the Link Arrows and Monsters you have on the field have a different amount, but since that isn't the case, you can't draw a card." Frostgirl frowned. "Don't forget Sunvine Thrasher's effect!"

Sunvine Thrasher: 800 - 4000 attack points

"I swear, it is like that is his real ace monster and not Dryatrentiay." said Flame as she nodded to that.

"Funny, but I think it is finally time. Time to avenge a comrade of mine, Baira, I hope you can see this, as you are going to lose hard against me! Battle! Sunvine Thrasher attacks your General Edward! Slash of The Mother Tree!" he yelled as his Sunvine Thrasher readied his sword at the Wizard King of The Ice Barriers as the man tried to fight back at the monster, but even with a blizzard coming out of his hands…

It wasn't enough as the monster continued to slash away the snow around him as he ran towards the powerful monster as he widened his eyes in shock as Sunvine Thrasher slashed him to pieces.

Both of them yelled, "GENERAL EDWARD!" both of them yelled as their Cyberse monster was turned into dust.

"Unfortunately, my monster can't deal you damage due to the fact you activated that Trap of yours, but that doesn't mean anything, as Sunvine Thrasher's effect activates! When destroying a monster, I can revive the monster I destroyed, so come out, General Edward!" he said as then Dryatrentiay flew her tentacles at the ground as from it, grabbed General Edward as his eyes were now dark red.

(General Edward Of The Ice Barrier: Link - Water Cyberse - Attack: 2500. Link-3. Link Arrows: Middle-Right, Bottom-Left and Bottom-Middle.)

Seeing their ace monster being controlled by Specter, a guy that was the reason why their friend disappeared felt wrong. Horrible to just look at that.

"Now, I will activate the last card in my hand! The Equip Spell, Sunvine Sprouts!" as then a new card appeared on his field. The Image showed Sunavalon Dryanome wrapping her vines around Trickstar Holly Angel, as around her began to glow sprouts as she began to become stronger than before.

"This card is pretty simple, I can target 1 monster on my side of the field that is a Link Monster, like my General Edward, and a couple things happen. First his name is now a Sunvine Monster," said Specter as General Edward glared at the two, "Not to mention, he gains 1000 attack points for every Link Arrow!"

"WHAT?!" yelled Frostgirl in shock.

"That means that…. General Edward's attack points are now 6500!" yelled Flame.

"Correct my little friend!" he yelled as his monster glew red for a long time.

General Edward Of The Ice Barrier: 2500 - 6500 attack points

(A/N: Warning for everyone that is reading this. In this portion, I am going to write something that is going to be dark, so if you don't want to read it, I will put the A/N where you could read it.)

"No way…" said Frostgirl as Specter nodded.

"Yes way, my dear. You see this is what I like to believe." they looked at Specter, "What do I mean by this? Well have you ever heard of the book known as Blue Angel?" he asked as they thought about it.

"Yeah, I have. It is a book that inspired Blue Angel for the name of her avatar. She said in an interview," said Frostgirl.

"Not to mention, the author is Kimiharu Muto, but why are you asking that question?" asked Flame as Specter nodded.

"That's right, you are both correct, as I am a massive fan of the book. Look I even have the Deluxe Version with updated pictures!" Specter said as then the book appeared in Specter's hands, like before with Yggdrasil, "The book is quite interesting and I like to reread from time to time. The story is a simple one, but a one that is timeless."

Specter coughed as he went to talk about the story, "There was once a little angel that is considered to be the most beautiful angel there is, however her personality was different. She was quite selfish and thought that friends were nothing more than an after thought, but when she was alone, she began to cry tears of blue, sad of her loneliness. When she was walking down one day, she was attacked by evil monsters, devils as some may call them."

He continued to flip through a couple of pages, "She was alone and couldn't fight back against those evil monsters, but then a couple of angels swooped in and saved her from those devils as she fought with them. As she was battling against those monsters, she learned the values of kindness and friendship. She changed for the better, as the void of her heart was filled with friends on her side. She cried, not of sadness or loneliness, but out of happiness. The End."

"That book is an inspiration to almost every lonely kid out there, but why did you explain that? Is it though that it resonates with you as well? I don't understand." she said as Specter shook his head.

"Oh no, no, dear, it is quite different. You see the ending where she was saved by her fellow angels and fought the devils was actually the alternate ending." Specter said.

"What?"

"You see, the ending of the original book was so graphic that it was changed due to the angered reactions from parents for scarring the kids," Specter said as he pulled an old copy of Blue Angel. "You see in the old version of the book," he opened it, "The original ending was not that Fairy Tale stuff for kids, but more, of a tragic tale."

"Wh- What are you saying?!" yelled Frostgirl as Specter laughed.

"I am saying that the ending goes dark, where when Blue Angel cried out for help when she was ambushed, nothing happened. She cried out for help, but nobody came." he laughed as they watched in horror, "If you don't believe me. Take a look. You will be shocked." he said as he turned the book around and gave them the book.

They watched in horror as they saw what happened. It was horrific.

This was the original ending, this was something that no kid should ever read.

"This is not even a stretch, most fairy tales end like this in the original ending. Red Riding Hood? The huntsman didn't save her and her grandma in time. The Little Mermaid? She didn't marry the prince, instead she tried to kill him. Goldilocks and the Three Bears? Well, even for fairytales, it is dark." they listened in horror as they looked up at Specter.

Specter brought the book back from Frostgirl and Flame, "What I am trying to say that fairytales are like life. They aren't sunshine and rainbows, they are dark, malicious, something that isn't for the faint of heart. They are made to scare people! Life is like a fairytale! Dark! Deadly!"

Specter took the Deluxe Version of Blue Angel and tore it apart as Frostgirl watched in horror.

The book that she read as a child, the book that made and was made into inspiration to hundreds to kids, including Blue Angel, was now destroyed by him. She breathed in and out. This will be the end of this. She knows it.

"You are… wrong! Specter! Sure, life is anything, but sweet and simple. In life, there are some hurdles, I won't lie to you about that, but life is also worth living! Even if you are in pain, working through it makes you strong, makes it all the worthwhile to continue on. I will… prove it to you! Right here and now!" yelled Frostgirl as Specter laughed.

"Really now? I like to see you try, I end my turn!" he said.

Turn 8. Frostgirl - 175 lp - 0 cards

She breathed in and out.

"Well, we have a Continuous Spell card that we can't activate. No hand, no monsters. Barely any of them have graveyard effects and we barely have life points… Sounds fair." said Flame as she sighed.

"Yeah, you are right, but Flame… Can I be frank with you?" she asked as Flame turned around.

"Sure, go ahead, what is it?" she looked at him as she didn't know what to say next.

"Well, the thing is about my deck. General Edward isn't the strongest. Not by a long shot." Frostgirl said as Flame tilted his head in confusion.

"What do you mean?" he asked as Frostgirl pointed to the pillar behind them.

"You see that dragon in ice? The dragon that is covered in chains?" she asked as Flame nodded in confusion as he kept watching her in interest. "That is my strongest monster, but… I don't know if I should summon it."

Flame was silent as he nodded, "Ah, I see why. You are afraid of the potential and what it could cause, am I correct?" she nodded.

"Yeah on the spot." she said.

"Well, that is nothing to be ashamed about, Frostgirl. He looks strong and from the looks of it, he could cause a blizzard just by flying, but I am here for you. If you need any validation, just know that I am here for you if you need anything. If you don't think you can control it, then I will go out. Just do what you think is necessary." he said as Frostgirl smiled.

"Thanks, Flame." she said as she took a deep breath. A card appeared on her duel disk as she then placed her fingers on it. She breathed in and out, "MY TURN! I DRAW!" she yelled as she then looked at the card, very slowly, like time stopped for her.

She smiled.

"I will begin by banishing from my graveyard my Speaker For The Ice Barrier," a card appeared from her duel disk as she then took it as it quickly then disappeared into data. "So I can special summon an Ice Barrier Token on my side of the field!"

As then a massive snowflake appeared on the field that had gold lining around it.

(Ice Barrier Token: Level 1 - Water Aqua - Attack: 0. Defense: 0.)

"Since I control an Ice Barrier monster on my side of the field, I can summon this new guy from my hand! Come out, the first time you will be summoned!" she swiped her hand as then the only monster in her hand, "Georgius, Swordsman Of The Ice Barrier!" as then on her side of the field appeared a new monster that even shocked General Edward.

It was a male with tan skin, that had a massive white hair that was puffy as there were fur around his shoulders, as he had bird like white wings, the monster then had blue and brown armour that went around his body, as his feet were like that of a bird, as he had blue feathers, he was duel wielding swords on both hands. He looked like a mix of an Ice Barrier and a Blackwing monster.

(Georgius, Swordsman Of The Ice Barrier: Level 6 - Tuner - Ice Winged Beast - Attack: 2000. Defense: 1200.)

"Ahh, I see so they are from the new set of cards you had. How interesting." said Specter as he placed his hand under his chin.

"There is something else you should note of! Here is the effect of Georgius! When he is Summoned, it doesn't matter how, we can special summon 1 Ice Barrier monster from our hand or graveyard! Frostgirl, take it away!" yelled Flame as a card appeared on Frostgirl's duel disk as she took it.

"With pleasure, Flame! Come out, Prior Of The Ice Barrier!" as then on her side of the field appeared an old man, but not on the level that is at Edward, as the man wore a blue robe with yellow lining, as he had a long brown beard as he wore a long sleeved white uniform with a staff made out of ice.

(Prior Of The Ice Barrier: Level 2 - Water Aqua - Attack: 1000. Defense: 400.)

"Flame… it is time." she said as Flame nodded.

"Right. Remember. I am here with you. No matter what." he said as Frostgirl smiled at him as then the entire world greyed out.

"Thanks, Flame. NOW!" she yelled as Prior, Georgius and even the Ice Barrier Token went to the massive pillar of ice as they did hand signs as then the yellow chains disappeared, "I tune my Level 6 Georgius, Swordsman of The Ice Barrier with my Level 2 Prior Of The Ice Barrier and my Level 1 Ice Barrier Token!" she yelled out as all of them turned into rings as she was struck by blue lightning.

Georgius turned into 6 green rings that went around each other as Prior turned into 2 orange rings that went around each other as the token turned into 1 orange ring as then they went into the pillar as from it, the dragon opened one eye.

6 + 2 + 1 = 9!

Frostgirl then began to chant, "One with the wind, one with the snow, a heart that is frozen in absolute zero! Now, become the snow that drives the harshest blizzard! I Synchro Summon! Arrive, Level 9, Trishula, Dragon Of The Ice Barrier!" she roared out as then from the pillar emerged a dragon that from its very own unsealing, created a powerful blizzard that made the city, or at least, what was left of it, into a desert. The monster roared with so much power that even made Edward take a step backwards as he looked at the monster he had the hardest time sealing.

The monster flew towards Frostgirl as it lowered their head at her, knowing that she would be safe as a thank you for being unsealed. Trishula's entire skin was that of tough armour made out of blue eyes ice. The wings were frozen shut, but were colder than absolute zero, The monster had glowing red eyes and an orange gem on its head. The monster had two arms and alongside it, were 2 additional heads that were like that of a snake, as the tail went along with them as it was sharp as a blade.

(Trishula, Dragon Of The Ice Barrier: Synchro - Level 9 - Water Dragon - Attack: 2700. Defense: 2000.)

Specter, for the first time, stood in shock watching this new powerful monster as even the strongest monster, Edward, was sweating as his own mother was afraid of just looking at him. Frostgirl and Flame watched in awe of their newest ace monster and their strongest as well.

Varis was watching this duel the entire time as Kiyoshi narrowed his eyes looking at the new monster as he heard from the legends of the Duel Terminal that this was the strongest monster that the Ice Barriers have ever sealed as they used it as a last resort against the Worms.

"So this is it… our strongest monster. How amazing." she said as Flame nodded. Both of them looked at each other as they then pointed straight towards Specter, "This is the end!"

"I hardly think that."

"You will hardly believe this! You see, this monster has an effect that bypasses your Sunavalon Protect because it doesn't destroy nor target!" he yelled as Specter raised an eyebrow.

"That's right! When Trishula is Synchro Summoned, he can banish up to 1 card from you! One from the hand, one from the graveyard and the other from your field!" Specter gasped from the power of this Synchro Monster, "GO! ABSOLUTE ZERO!" she yelled out as then from the mouth of the powerful Synchro monster, shot out a beam that went straight towards Specter's graveyard, one specifically that is his Sunavalon Dryas.

But he didn't mind that.

No.

He minded when he saw from the massive head of Trishula shot out a powerful beam of pure blue energy that managed to be even colder than the absolute zero as from the dragon, it was shot straight towards at Sunavalon Dryatrentiay. Specter's mother.

"NO!" yelled Specter in anguish as he then saw the very own thing, the very own person that he loved to death, being subjected to the deadliest senses of coldness ever seen, as he could even hear her cry out in anguish, "MOTHER! NO!" he yelled. He then dropped his head.

As then, without a Sunavalon Monster on the field, Sunvine Sprouts alongside General Edward, who for once thanked Trishula for saving him, Sunavalon Protect and Sunvine Thrasher explode into data.

Specter was all alone. He was like a spectre again, a ghost in the real world.

"I am sorry to tell you this, Specter. But this game, this duel is over!" roared Frostgirl with a determined look on his face. "BATTLE! TRISHULA, DRAGON OF THE ICE BARRIER!" she and Flame pointed at Specter who was looking down, not even facing them, "END THIS! ABSOLUTE ZERO!"

The three heads of Trishula began charging, the left one looked to show more danger, the right one with more power, but the middle concentrated enough power to destroy his enemy. Trishula will make sure his mistress wins at all cost. They all fired the beam of absolute zero straight towards Specter, who looked defeated already as the entire avatar was engulfed in the blizzard.

Frostgirl: 175 lp

FROSTGIRL: WINNER!

She breathed in and out. "Flame. It is over."

"Finally." he said.

They looked over to see the result of the last attack and they saw Specter being covered in ice and snow all around his body as he was in the Artic as he had his head dropped and downwards. Trishula, Dragon Of The Ice Barrier roared as he disappeared into data.

Once they took a step to see if he was alright, but then they stopped as they heard one thing.

His laughter.

At first it was calm.

But it then grew into a tidal wave as it grew psychotic by the second.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Specter laughed like nothing before as he turned to Frostgirl and Flame, "YOU FOOLS! THANK YOU FOR HELPING US OUT!"

"What are you talking about?" asked Flame.

"Oh, I am talking about many things." he laughed as even his own mother tree being destroyed didn't stop him, "The first is helping Master Varis gain even more information about your decks and how to stop them. The second thing is that you gave us more data than before as the process took us quicker!" They looked around them as the now desert looked gave out more data than before.

"And the last and more important thing… is that I managed to stall you for more than I needed to." they gasped as they looked above at what they heard from him as they then saw something shocking.

The Tower Of Hanoi had two completed rings around it. Which means that they have wasted a total of 2 hours, which means that 4 hours were left.

"No way." she said.

"Admittedly, I am massively saddened that I had to see my mother tree being destroyed, but anything and I mean anything that will give an advantage to Master Varis is a plus and everything will be excused!" he yelled as he laughed more and more as he quickly turned into data.

"We have to run! Now!" yelled Frostgirl as she began running towards the Tower Of Hanoi as Specter looked at them running away.

"Good luck on facing him! Not that he needs it, because he will be the one that will save humanity itself!" he began to laugh more and more as he began walking away from them as he looked at the sky. "Good luck to you too, Master Varis." he said as he then turned into data.

With Varis and Kiyoshi

"It appears that Specter has lost the game." said Kiyoshi as he narrowed his eyes at what happened in the last few moments as they saw him turn into data. He turned to his son, who was quiet. He narrowed his eyes at him.

Now, Kiyoshi knows his son and even though he wasn't much of a talker, he knew that him being this silent is something that should be ringing bells all around the place as he basically saw his brother, the person he grew up with that was like a brother to him, turn into data as he lost the duel brutally. Even seeing his mother tree being destroyed in front of him.

"Varis." the Leader Of The Knights of Hanoi turned to his father when he said that. "I know what you are thinking, and all I want to say is that… good luck on your endeavors" he said as Varis nodded.

Varis was now the last one standing of the Hanoi. The other Knights of Hanoi were down and turned into data, the Three Commanders, Genome, Baira and Faust were defeated and now his right hand man, Specter, was defeated in a duel like this.

"I will father. I will make sure that the ones that dared to cross the Hanoi to pay." he said in a venomous voice. He then turned around, "However, I need to pay respects to my comrades, father. So give me time to get ready for my duel against those three." he said as he walked around to a room where he was way too familiar with.

Kiyoshi nodded. "Understood, I will keep watching them as you pay respects." he said as he continued to stare at the footage. "Ryoken, I trust you to save humanity. So please… defeat them:" he thought to his son.

As this war has only just begun.

Done! Boy that was a fast one, huh? Only 5 days since the last update, that was a pretty fast, I am quite proud of what I did. What did you guys thought of it? I thought it was pretty decent. Now to get some things down.

I am around Episode 270 of Bleach where Ichigo is fighting Ulquiorra in his Resurreccion Segundo Etapa form and it is heat. I did decide to reference a ton of things. Black Clover with Edward, the mention of Mahoraga, the talk about Norse Mythology of Yggdrasil which I thought was interesting even though I am not that into mythology in general, the chant of Trishula being that from Pokemon Unbound and finally the idea of Duel Terminal being canon in Yugioh VRAINS as a myth. Does that mean the World Legacy, Revendread, Shiranui and Buster Blader Lore are canon in this fic? Pretty much yeah.

Now for the duel. I basically made it a reverse mirror to the canon where the Playmaker duel is where Specter won the duel while the Blue Angel duel was where he lost at as I thought it was interesting to do that and I hopefully did a pretty decent job at. Also, Trishula is finally here! Why? Because Trishula is a special monster that the own archetype has trouble summoning as it is one of the most powerful Synchro monsters ever printed and for good reason and I always enjoyed when something powerful is kept as a reserve and not something to summon in the first duel or so. Hopefully you enjoyed the duel.

The Duel in canon? It was pretty good. I did like the banter between Ai and Playmaker and how Akira sacrificed himself. Specter's backstory was shown there, while the Blue Angel Book (Whom I changed to fit more of a Fairy Tale as a dark idea that I hopefully did well) appeared here. I didn't like that he used to cheat in here to get the win, but it does show that Playmaker is caring enough to throw the game. I did like that he used Excode Talker to win, idk, I always enjoyed the Code Talkers, so seeing something not used for combos is nice to see.

Now, it is time to say goodbye as I will now write for GX and Black Clover, but I have an important thing to say. After I am done with Chapter 44 of GX Rewrite and the Dungeon Arc of Black Clover, I am telling you this. You guys are getting a 4 Chapter Special. What I mean is that there are 4 chapters left, so why bother waiting couple of months to finish this, but please. Be patient.

The Equipped monster gains the total number of attack points of a Sunavalon monster it points to x 1000 for every Link Arrow. If there is no Sunavalon monster on the field, destroy this card and the equipped monster
