(AN: This takes place one year later after Saburo died.)
Egor reached his apartment, about to unlock it when he felt something. "Monster, human? Love, don't love?" Saika's voice echoed in his head as he saw a shadow approach him. Turning around he saw a tall slender man. The man was pale, dark brown hair a bit messy pulled back in a small ponytail. The man wore a black tshirt over a long sleeved crimson shirt, with black jeans gloves and boots.
Despite the lack of weapons, claws, mask hat and trenchcoat. Egor knew who this man was just by his almost hypnotic blue eyes. "Deadwolv...?" The hitman remained calm, wondering what the killer wanted with him. 'I have not done anything to attract his attention. Doesn't he only hunt Shiroi and human traffickers?' He wondered.
"You're Egor right, and you know Shingen Kishitani?" Wolv spoke in a cold tone. "Depends. What do you want with me and him?" Egor answered with a question. "I need you to deliver a message to Shingen. Tell him his son Shinra is dead. The doc got butchered this morning." Wolv remarked and turned to leave. Egor's eyes widened.
Egor rushed to Shingen's place and let himself in with the spare key. "Egor, what are you doing here?" The gas mask wearing man seemed surprised to see the blond barge into his place unannounced. "I ran into the killer Deadwolv." Egor answered in his usual calm voice.
"Oh? You appear uninjured. So I guess you never did anything to warrent an execution in his eyes." Shingen remarked. "He gave me a message. For you." Egor added, then looked at Shingen with a slight frown. "He told me to tell you. Your son Shinra was 'butchered' this morning." Shingen went silent. Then quickly pulled out his cellphone and dialed Shinra's number. No answer. He then texted Celty. Again. No answer.
"Take me to his apartment. Now." Shingen left with Egor and got into his car. Egor drove him to the underground doctor's apartment. Outside the building was several police cars. A sickening feeling in Shingen's stomach began forming. Sighing he got out, and managed to get to the apartment number Shinra stayed at with Celty.
The door had been broken down. And several policemen there would not let Shingen inside. "Sorry sir. This is an active crime scene. No one allowed inside." - "This is my son's apartment. Where is Shinra Kishitani?" He interrupted the officer.
"Er, I don't have all the details. But it seems the owner of this apartment was killed. You can't go inside though. Not only because you may tamper with the evidence, but, it is pretty messy inside." The officer said softly, understanding no man wishes to hear their son just got slaughtered.
Looking around he saw Celty leaving the garage area with Shooter. Shingen ran over and jumped in the way stopping the headless rider from escaping just yet. "What happened?" Was all he could say.
Celty looked down and began typing on her phone. "I was out doing a job for Orihara. When I got back. The door, was broken down. I, couldn't find Shinra. But, I saw allot of blood...and.." She was unable to finish. "The police think it was Deadwolv. But to my knowledge he only kills certain people. And Shinra isn't anything like the people he usually hunts." She added. "Do you have any idea why he would target Shinra?"
Shingen remained silent. He had a good idea why. He knew Wolv would eventually want revenge. Though he never thought the killer was the type to kill an innocent just to hurt him. Shingen shook his head. Unable to confess Shinra was killed because of him. Celty seemed to be staring at him, as if she knew he was hiding something. She then wrote some more. "I am leaving. Unless it is about my head do not ever talk to me again." She put her phone away and rode off.
Shingen got home and sat down. The gas mask wearing man was shocked. He never would have expected this. Shinra gone. What's more according to the police , most of the body was not recovered. Was this some form of divine retribution? The man had done many questionable things in the past. And may not have been the best father either. Was this his punishment, to lose his only son in such a way?
Once he regained his composure he pulled out his phone and called Izaya. "Orihara! I need you to look into Deadwolv some for me." He said trying his best to not sound upset. "Don't tell me you plan on trying to dissect him again, do you?" Izaya chuckled looking at his computer screen. "No. More like, kill him if possible." Shingen responded.
"Oh my. Rather ambitious goal. What did the killer do to you?" Izaya no longer sounded cheerful. "Shinra is gone." Was all Shingen could say.
"Oh that. Yeah, I heard from one of my contacts. Sorry for your loss. But hunting Wolv is suicide. Besides. You sure he did it? He is a violent killer for sure. But Shinra was not the type he would ever even give a second glance. Let alone kill." Izaya explained looking at a picture of a certain blue eyed woman.
"Considering the mess the police found. Only three people I know of capable of it. One is not even in the city at the moment, The other is Shinra's friend Shizuo. So that only leaves Deadwolv. Besides. Last I saw him. He said he would make me regret touching him." Shingen explained.
"So simply put. Revenge. You think he tore Shinra to shreds to hurt you." Izaya glanced at a pair of broken glasses on his desk.
"Where does Wolv hide when not with the Junkomori family?" Shingen asked. He knew Wolv's true identity by now. But getting close to the killer without Izaya's help would be impossible, unless he wished to start a gang war.
"Shinra was an annoying perverted freak who I often hated. He was a thorn in my side since the day I met him." Izaya said coldly making Shingen's eyes widen. "But even he was smarter than you. Never in a million years would he try and hunt Deadwolv. Nor would he want you to die trying to avenge him. So be smart and just leave Wolv be. If you die or get mutilated that won't bring Shinra back. Nor make his spirit happy. If anything it would only make him angry." Izaya continued. Shingen frowned, realizing the informant may be right.
"Fine. I'll find someone else to help." Shingen hung up. But, even he was now unsure. Would he really still try and kill Deadwolv. Or do as Izaya said and let it be. "I am sorry Shinra..." He said softly, going to bed.
