Izaya sat at his desk watching the chatroom logs. His crimson tinted eyes scanned the screen for any signs of Onryo or Wolv. Those two amused him the most. He knew now Onryo was not only a legitimate ghost, but the ghost of Masaomi Kida. And he knew Wolv was Deadwolv, the one who killed Kida. So, watching the two interact was quite entertaining for the informant. Almost like some comedy. Since oddly enough the two seemed to almost get along online and even joke with each other on occasion. Indeed, a dark comedy those two were.
Suddenly he heard a loud banging at his door. "Such a brute Shizu Chan can be." He sighed knowing it had to be Shizuo at the door. The door broke open and Shizuo stormed inside. "Izaya you bastard. I know you're here. I can smell you!" Shizuo growled, looking around for Izaya. "To what do I owe the pleasure of having you here Shizu Chan?" Izaya smirked.
"Celty is leaving the city." - "Of course. Until she finds her head staying here will only cause her pain since Shinra's death. Too bad she wasn't able to save him." Izaya shrugged looking back at his computer. "Yeah. About that flea. She said the only reason she wasn't home when it happened is you called her over for a job. But when she got here you were gone." Shizuo glared. "Something unexpected happened, l had to cancel last minute is all." Izaya smiled nervously.
That's when Shizuo saw it. Sitting on Izaya's desk was a pair of glasses. Shinra's glasses. They were cracked and one of the lenses had a stained blood splatter on it. Shizuo's eyes narrowed as he gritted his teeth. "You bastard." He said in almost a whisper. Izaya noticed what Shizuo was looking at. "Oh that. " Shizuo rushed at the informant and tried to punch him. But Izaya dodged. "Now Shizu Chan. We are still on a truce after all, right?" Izaya laughed. "Truce over you backstabbing monster!" Shizuo yelled at him managing to grab him by his throat.
"Before you do anything you might regret. Check my bedroom. You might be surprised by what is in there." Izaya said remaining oddly calm. Shizuo kept his grip firm on Izaya and dragged him to the room to see what Izaya was talking about.
At first, he saw nothing. Until he looked at the bed. Laying in the bed was someone under the blankets. Shizuo approached the bed slowly and pulled the covers back.
"What the hell?!" Shizuo nearly fell back in shock. Laying in bed asleep was Shinra Kishitani. The doctor was as pale as a dead body, but still alive somehow. "Deadwolv showed up the morning it happened carrying Shinra. He demanded I save him, and since I ain't a doctor and Shinra was seconds from dying. I think even you are smart enough to know how I saved Shinra." Izaya explained.
So that is why he looked dead..."Wait. Why would Wolv order you to save Shinra when Wolv was the one who killed him?" Shizuo looked at Izaya. "Simple. Wolv didn't do it. Shinra pissed off the surviving members of the old Shiroi gang. Realizing he was doomed he called Wolv for help. But Wolv arrived too late. Wolv killed one of the attackers. Enfact if police were to run a DNA test on the remains they found. They won't match Shinra. Wolv then brought a half dead Shinta to me and said if I didn't save him, he would 'shove a stake into me and pour holy water all over my pretty face. '" Izaya explained.
"Celty needs to know. " Shizuo said after a few moments of silence. "Tried contacting her last night but she hung up. And won't read my texts. Izaya looked at Shinra. "As for him. He hasn't fully adjusted yet. His body is still pretty weak. That's why he is sleeping here right now." He added. Shizuo frowned. On one hand it was good to know Shinra wasn't dead. But on the other, knowing Shinra has now lost his humanity worried the blond. Not to mention, once Celty learns. How will she handle it?
