It wasn't suddenly that evening the young cybertronians were out . Soundwave was currently on his way home from work where he works for security in Kaona . He was tired and all he wanted to do after staring at the cameras all day , was to lie down on the dock and wake up to another sun cycle .
Today he decided he wasn't going to go his permanent route , but to go through the dark alleys . He was never afraid of them , but he also never thought he would find someone there who would grow a spark and want to protect him with his own life .
Soundwave walked through the second to last alley and would have been home , but he heard shuffling behind him and when no one was there just a box . Soundwave went to turn around and continue when the shuffle repeated and he saw the box move . He walked over to it and opened it .
Inside the box was a small femme wrapped in a blue blanket . When he looked her over he saw that she was wearing a blue helmet with pink helmet edges and a dark . Soundwave looked around and no one was around and his conscience wouldn't let him. He picked it up carefully and all it did was make a small movement. Soundwave placed it in the crook of his arm and placed it against the spark where the heat was coming from . With that, he continued on his way with the sleeping femme.
When he got home he put her on the couch and went to get some energon . He took energon for himself and low grade energon for the sparkling femme . When he returned there was no one on the couch , neither the femme nor the blanket . Soundwave immediately started looking around and asking himself where she could have run off so fast . He walked through the whole living room and nothing . When he sat down on the couch he looked in the corner , which was quite dark he saw a blue blanket and something was curled up underneath it .
He walked over there , knelt down and lifted the blanket , now he could see her whole body . Her whole frame was blue , but the reflections on her arms and legs as well as on her helmet were light pink. When he looked closer he also saw little wings , as if her parents were looking but it didn't give any . The seekers never left the sparkling and also their city is on the other side of Cybetron, Vos. These thoughts put even more in the background. Soundwave looked at her face and saw her covering her optics.
Soundwave chuckled , picked her up in his arms and sat down on the couch . Femme laid down in front of him and he gently touched her little hands and uncovered her optics Her optics were gorgeous , they had blue optics and they had pink circles around them . Femme looked at it and smiled .
"So tell me what shall we call you ?" He asked and she shrugged her shoulders as if she understood what he said . "Looking at those eyes and your character . Hmmm. How about Arcee ?" He asked and Arcee giggled .
Soundwave put the energy in front of Arcee . She looked at it and didn't understand what to do. He didn't quite know what to do either he never cared for sparkling. Soundwave picked up his cube and took a sip and motioned for her to repeat it .
Arcee lifted the cube a little , but not much since it was big and heavy for her. She tried again but failed. Sadly she lowered her head so that she was looking at the couch and avoiding eye contact . Soundwave placed a finger under her chin and lifted her gaze to look into his blue optics .
"Don't be sad once you pick it up , now wait I have an idea " he said . He picked up the container and walked to the kitchen putting the larger container down and picking up the smaller one , where he poured the energon and brought it to her "now , try it" .
This time Arcee picked up the container and took a sip. She drank some more and left half the container full . Arcee crawled on all fours to Soundwave . First she sat in his lap, but after a few seconds she rested her head on his stomach and closed her optics.
Soundwave smiled at that and placed a hand on her back, feeling a slight shiver . He thought she was cold so he picked up the blanket and placed it on Arcee . Soundwave sat there for a while longer when he also started to feel again . He carefully took Arcee in his arms so as not to wake her up and walked to his room .
Soundwave laid on his back and Arcee laid on his chest where he had a spark . He put one hand on her back and stroked her with his long thin fingers . He slowly closed the optics , too , when he finally fell asleep .
Soundwave woke up early every morning and went to work the same way . But today he didn't feel much like it , and when he remembered what happened last night , it was decided . After many years of working , without a vacation , today was going to change that .
Soundwave went to pat Arcee on the back , but when he passed he felt nothing . The only thing he stroked was his chest . He quickly opened the scope and looked around . When she looked to the right side of the mooring she saw a scared Arcee who almost started crying with fear . Soundwave let out a sigh that she hadn't missed anywhere .
"Good morning Arcee , don't worry I was just worried if something had happened to you " He said in the softest voice he could come out of such an eternally quiet and as his colleagues say , emotionless macho man . Arcee looked into his optics and crawled over to hug at least a piece of his waist.
Soundwave stayed home all day despite a disgruntled boss. All day he watched Arcee as she was. She was sweet, she liked to be around him and she loved her blanket , which she took everywhere with her. And one big plus for her was that when she got scared she didn't start crying , but just stared silently and frightened at the scene .
Arcee slowly grew up, she started to walk and talk. Also suited a couple of robots from Soundwave work . Arcee didn't go to nursery like normal sparkling. She preferred to stick to Soundwave and always hid so she wouldn't be seen when Soundwave's supervisor came over. Soundwave later started hanging out with former gladiator and then revolutionary Megatronus and made a visor . Arcee didn't understand all of this, she was a fast learner but she was still young and having her adoptive father put on the visor was a shock . Arcee noticed that she started to change as well and then the war started .
She saw the mechs , femmes and fizzies running through the streets screaming . When it all started Arcee was alone in Soundwave's apartment and for the first time since she was born she cried with fear. She was scared and alone . Soundwave was always there to comfort and protect her , but now all there was was the screams of death . When it all died down , Arcee sat in the corner she was sitting in when she arrived at his apartment . She was there shaking and crying and not paying attention to her surroundings .
When Soundwave learned that the area where she lived was being attacked and the robots who didn't join the Decepticons were being killed in the streets . It was then that he realized that he had told Arcee to stay home and not to come out, that he would come back for her. Soundwave ran towards his apartment. He ran through robots both living and dead. When he got to the apartment all he could hear was silent crying. Soundwave took off his visor and walked into the living room and saw her in that corner . She was shaking and crying , that was the first time he heard her cry.
He mentally berated himself for telling her to stay , he should have been by her side , or put her away from this killing . He had to get her away from death. A city on Cybetron has pledged loyalty to Megatron and all young Cybetronians , who can enter the academy will go and be trained to fight the Autobots , but for now it's a neutral city and no one will go there. Soundwave walked up to Arcee and touched her . She looked at him with tearful optics and when he pulled her close he started to cry into his chest . He gently poked her back to soothe her . When she calmed down he looked at her .
"I'm sorry I wasn't here " he paused , it was to say , but for her sake he would do anything "Arcee the war has started and I want to protect you this is hard for me , but for your safety I will do anything . Tomorrow a few well trained soldiers are going to a neutral city where there is no war yet . You will go with them , I have a friend in that city and he will surely take you under his wing " He said and looked at Arcee who he took as a daughter who he could never have .
"But daddy I want you with you please I... I don't want to leave you" she said as more tears welled up in her optics and began to run down her face.
Soundwave wiped her tears away and looked into her optics "Arcee trust it's not easy , but it's better this way , at least I'll know you're safe" He said and hugged her .
The next morning Arcee and Soundwave stood in front of the main square in Kaona and the soldiers who were traveling to the neutral city stood in front of them. Arcee appeared to Soundwave and hugged him . She couldn't see his face since he had a visor again .
Arcee made her way to her unknown city . The city looked like Kaon and Vos mixed together . She got to Soundwave's familiar Slinder and the only thing she could tell just from looking at him was that he was more of a dragged off robot than Soundwave .
The first few weeks she found that he didn't even talk much and was still in his work. And she spent her time staring out the window and looking far out of the city. I wanted very much to go back but I couldn't , she didn't have a way .
A few months went by and Arcee found a room in the house where she could train. There was everything to practice . The first days when she found it she tried to be quiet so Slinder wouldn't notice her . She practiced more and more and found books with different fighting techniques. The last thing she found were weapons, but she preferred not to use them.
She trained longer and longer every day. She never thought he could follow her , she was careful , but even that wasn't enough .
Arcee tried a new kick , but kept getting lost when she got back into her fighting pose . She sighed in frustration "why can't she go , why keep it up I don't know" she growled to herself and jumped in surprise when she heard the voice.
"You need to swing less and put more power not speed into it, that's when she should get back into stance and not fall over "Slinder said as he leaned against the doorframe.
"Excuse me sir for coming here " she said and lowered her gaze as if expecting a reprimand .
"Don't worry Soundwave told me what type you are and I was expecting this room when I thought of her first and now tried mine " He said and watched on .
Arcee tried his advice and didn't fall. She was happy. Eventually Slinder started training with her and helped her . When she was already good at training and fighting Slinder she moved to the next level . When you manage to get your hands on your own weapons. She actually had blasters with shoulder blades .
Arcee woke up to the blast. She quickly moved to the window and saw there were soldiers , killing , shooting and throwing bombs . She quickly ran to Slinder and saw him standing by the computer. Arcee stood there and without looking at her said .
"I'm sending a message to Soundwave that the Autobots have attacked and will be searching and protecting the city in a few minutes" .
Arcee wanted to go closer , but when she went to approach , the place where Slinder was exploded and threw her into a nearby wall and debris fell on her . Within seconds Arcee passed out from the impact.
She started to wake up and heard no explosion only soldiers .
"Well done Wreckers , Roadbuster and Bulkhead search this area if you find any young ones take them to the autobot camp if they tried to talk to them and persuade them to change sides if not , arrest them" Ultra Magnus said and moved to another team .
Arcee went to stand but found that there was a large weight on her , which she could not lift . She waited for when to search through the wreckage when the weight on her body decreased she picked up the rest and fled . She saw them firing at her and returned fire , probably shooting one of them in the shoulder .
She ran through the destroyed city and the searchers were nowhere to be found either. She began to wonder if the message had even gotten to Kaon. When she was far almost in front of the city she stopped when she heard the engines of the seekers and when she looked up there they were and they sent missiles at the city . One of the seekers landed in front of her .
"Who are you autobot or decepticon ?" He shouted and looked like a drone .
"I'm from this town, I was there and destroyed the house I was living in, I'm from Kaon " Arcee said but he probably didn't believe her since he pointed his blaster at her.
"You don't look like that, you look more like an Iaconian. Oh good trick autobot " he said and started shooting at her.
Arcee out of pure defense also shoot and she had better aim than him since she hit him straight in the spark .
She was scared , she didn't know what happened but she was even more surprised , when he told her he looked like an Iaconian . She knew she wasn't Soundwave's daughter , he told her how he did but said he found her in Kaon not Iacon . This put even more questions in her head .
Who is she really?
Who are her real parents ?
And why did they abandon her ?
