p class="MsoNormal"Hey, guys. It's been awhile since I've posted anything on FF. Things in my personal life took up my time and writer's block was as heavy as ever. Don't worry for I'm okay. After binging on Regular Show did I have an idea. This is my first fic in the series and this is mainly a Rigleen story. Feel free to leave some feedback. It means a lot. WAnyway, Regular Show belongs to Cartoon Network and JG Quintel. Let's get It./p
p class="MsoNormal"========/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanRigby invited Eileen to Lookout Mountain in order to enjoy the full moon and in the raccoon's case, open up on what the future holds for them. Things had changed since they've returned from space saving the universe. Mordecai was away to art school to continue his degree and better himself, Muscle Man and Starla were planning on having kids, Benson as usual focused on managing the park along with Skips and Fives is going steady with Celia. However, Pops sacrificed himself by obliterating himself and Anti-Pops into the sun permanently stopping the 14 billion year reset of the Uniberse. To say that things weren't going to be the same with Pops gone was an understatement./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanEileen saw the look On Rigby's face exhibiting reflection on what to do now. Pops was like a family member and the glue that brought the Park crew together. The raccoon had changed a Lot and came a Long way from being a slobby slacker to a good and mature person. Eileen can tell from night and day how the raccoon had changed for the better. But now, she sees him stewing as she puts it about what was bothering him. The mole decided to break the silence with her tender voice filled with concern. br /"Rigby, the moon's beautiful tonight. You seemed to be stewing about something.", Eileen said as Rigby shook his head not wanting to worry the mole. br /"No. It's nothing. Just enjoying the full moon and the simple things in Life ever since we came back from saving the universe and all.", the raccoon answered nonchalantly but the mole wasn't convinced. Eileen sighed knowing how her boyfriend is but she had to be sure what was wrong. She could Pic up his sad and pondering mood./p
p class="MsoNormal""I can tell that you're stewing, Rigby. Whatever you are Pondering about, I'll listen.", the mole girl encouraged. The raccoon looked into Eileen's eyes behind those glasses before he decided to speak on why they were here in Lookout Mountain./p
p class="MsoNormal""It's just…how things are changing for us. My brother from another mother is going to art school to pursue his dream, Muscle Man and Starla is starting a family soon, Benson and Skips are holding the fort down as usual and Fives is doing great for himself and Celia.", Rigby said as Eileen raised an eyebrow with a frown. br /"Aren't you happy for them though?"/p
p class="MsoNormal""Yeah. Don't get me wrong. I'm glad that we're all moving on with our lives. It's just…", Rigby stopped for a moment as he drooped and slumped trying to bring out the rest of the sentence. Eileen had a hunch but decided to give the raccoon some time to collect himself. After a several seconds did he continue. br /"It's just that Pops isn't here to see us grow up especially to Mordecai and I. Sure he saved the world but things will never be the same without him.", Rigby confessed. Eileen nodded in understanding remembering that day. br /"I know what you mean. He was close to us. Like a family.", Eileen said as Rigby agreed wholeheartedly. br /"Yeah. The park crew are more than just colleagues we see every day, they're definitely family. Pops was the heart of the group. In fact, it was him that convinced his father and Benson to hire us. Mordecai and myself were true slackers and no one even bothered to hire us at the time and the lovable guy took us in and the rest is history.", Rigby said explaining the short origin of how Pops was exactly the one who went out of his way to recommend them a Job./p
p class="MsoNormal""Wow. I never knew Pops did that. That was sweet of him to do that.", the mole said in shock of what Rigby said of how he and Mordecai came to the Park in the first Place. br /"It wasn't easy at first. Mr. Mellard and Benson looked at our track records of work and obviously it wasn't good. With days to prove ourselves and Pops' convincing did we finally get our jobs. Of course, we were slackers causing all kinds Of trouble Pissing off Benson to begin with. Skips is chill and laidback putting up with our bullshit."/p
p class="MsoNormal""Ahem. Language.", Eileen cleared her throat not liking Rigby to say bad words. The raccoon sheepishly rubbed the back of his head./p
p class="MsoNormal""Oops. Sorry. Pops really did have the patiencespan style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanand mercy even after all the screwups. I was a jerk and immature. There's no lie about that. It's like he gave us a chance giving us the benrfit of the doubt. We've been through so many ups and downs together. I miss him.", the raccoon solemnly told Eileen who gave him a much needed embrace sharing a sad smile./p
p class="MsoNormal""I miss him too. We all do. It was sad to see his dad mourn after finding out what had happened to Pops. No parent should ever have to bury their child but unfortunately it happens.", the mole told the raccoon sharing her sentiment. Rigby had to admit that Eileen was right for the park owner loved the lollipop man like a son. After all, Mr. Melard raised him as his Own over the years and did what he could to give Pops a normal and better life although he knew what the inevitable will come one day./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanRigby and Eileen figured out the truth during their tenure as space rangers that Melard may be a grumpy old rich man. But those that knew him best see way deeper. The day Benson and company shot up to space 3 years ago shook Melard to the core. Having to helplessly see his only son one final time was the worst thing the elderly businessman had to witness. Though he knew Pops was in great hands with the group, it didn't shake off the sadness./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanThe raccoon and the mole sat there in silence thinking about their friend for a while looking up at the stars. The stars seemed beautiful way up in the black abyss of space which is a remnant of their time in the galaxy. Like Pops, the stars are filled with wonder and mystery for those who wish to discover it for themselves. Eileen turned to Rigby with a smile On her face still embracing the raccoon who returned the smile back. br /"I could never get enough of seeing the stars. It's like they are always watching over us. So many of them. I always like to look at them after my day at work and college. It helps me think clearly.", the mole girl told Rigby of her fascination of the celestial bodies. br /"Ya know? Throughout our adventures in space, I have to admit that I enjoyed seeing the stars too. Especially with you at the observatory. I sometimes come there to think like how I do at Lookout Mountain after returning from space.", Rigby confessed. Eileen blushed remembering the times they spent alone gazing at constellations and galaxies after Rigby finished the tasks that either Colonel Rawls or Benson had him do. Eileen pecked Rigby on the cheek before asking him something related to what made him stew./p
p class="MsoNormal""Awww. That's so sweet you've remembered. It was always refreshing to do after all the zany adventures we had up there. The stars is like a symbol of something to strive on where to go in Life. Polaris is always the go to. But also where to go in life. If I may ask, what do you usually think about while looking at the stars while in space or here in Lookout Mountain?", the mole asked curious of her boyfriend's thoughts. The raccoon wasn't as apprehensive but is nervous blushing. Eileen had a playful smile On her face knowing what he was thinking but decided to let him explain./p
p class="MsoNormal""I sometimes visit the observatory at the base thinking about the future.", Rigby said. br /"Future?", Eileen intrigued wanted to know more of what Rigby was thinking about. br /"During Our time in space, I've changed a Lot for the better. I've graduated high school, held a steady job and managed to keep the most important woman in my life despite my flaws.", Rigby said as Eileen blushed redder than a tomato. The raccoon continued on his realization. br /"I wasn't sure and in fact, I was pretty scared like the rest of us. We didn't know if we would ever get back home alive or otherwise. Let alone being stuck here forever. Seeing Pops cheerful and filled with positivity boosted some of our morale. It inspired me to keep on keeping on not just for me but for everyone that had and still does have my back.", the raccoon remarked causing the mole to feel proud of her boyfriend. br /"I respect that. I have to admit that you've really changed. I have to be honest that you were a jerk always getting into trouble and being irresponsible. But over time did you've become a better person while being yourself. And that's why I've fell in love with you in the first place despite your flaws.", Eileen confessed. Rigby nodded with a genuine smile. br /"Yeah. I really did come a long way, huh?", Rigby remarked as Eileen agreed. She then had a nervous look on her face. Rigby spotted this and had to check on her./p
p class="MsoNormal""Eileen, is everything okay? You can tell me.", Rigby encouraged. The mole sighed and collected herself before admitting to the raccoon. br /"Do you remember when you wanted me to dump you so you could bring Mordecai back from Dumptown?", the mole asked as Rigby nodded but was puzzled at the same time. br /"Y-yeah. What caused it to come up?", Rigby wondered why Eileen brought up the day they had to do the fake break-up in Rigby's plan. Eileen bit the bottom of her lip not knowing how to get whatever is on her chest. She looked into Rigby's eyes and decided to confess./p
p class="MsoNormal""It's just that I was in the wrong for getting a little snappy with you when you were getting ready to get Mordecai back after hearing Benson tell you how to get to Dumptown and his experience there. When it was time for you to execute your plan, something snapped inside of me when you wanted me to dump you.", Eileen confessed to Rigby. Rigby thought for a moment and gasped in realization. br /"Oh yeah. I remember. You told me three weeks prior to Mordecai going missing that you wanted to try out Ethiopian food at a restaurant you were telling me about. Then obviously after CJ dumped him did we played a video game placing a bet on who picks the restaurant. I won and chose Wing Kingdom instead. Guess that's why you'd told me to get out and not call you again.", the raccoon said realizing what went down. Eileen had a sad smile with guilt. br /"Yes. I went too far and didn't see your reason for wanting to do this. At the time, I had stuff built up inside and before you were improving yourself for us did I became annoyed sometimes with your antics. I wanted you to be considerate of what I wanted to do with my interests. Try something new, ya know?", the mole explained her reasoning. Rigby wasn't mad or anything but he was surprised that his girlfriend held that guilt deep down for so long./p
p class="MsoNormal""Eileen, I-I never knew. I didn't mean to make you feel like this. At the time, I'm not use to change and that means trying something new. Wing Kingdom and sometimes Cheezers are places I was use to going with my friends especially with Mordecai. They were the places that help us ttake our minds off of the daily grind for a while. Look, you had every right to keep it 100 with me when you've listed off the things I needed to improve on. It was a kick in the keister that I needed.", Rigby said with a smile. Eileen was surprised but spoke up. br /"Yeah. It was almost for reals as you put it. But after thinking things through did I realize that I was wrong. You did the right thing to bring back Mordecai from Dumptown. If you hadn't done it then he would've been trapped there forever. You have a great trait of being there for somebody when they need it the most. It was stupid of me to act like that beforehand.", Eileen explained but Rigby already forgave her. br /"I couldn't leave Mordecai there to waste his life away. When I was at Dumptown, it was a depressing place. More than you could imagine. Many guys were heartbroken to the point they've lost touch with reality and time wasting it all away. Mordecai was a nervous wreck since CJ dumped him and when I've found him, I was scared and shocked beyond belief. Mordecai and I both got reality checks to get our lives right and Dumptown and your honesty helped me realize that. So thank you.", Rigby said gratefully as Eileen blushed with a smile. She knew Rigby wouldn't put that against her./p
p class="MsoNormal""I appreciate that, Rigby. But is that all you've been thinking about lately?", the mole asked inquisitively. Rigby nodded his head. br /"Yeah. For months, I try to manage working at the park more seriously. But seeing all our friends move up in the world made me sad but I had to hold that in for everyone else. Pops was everyone's friend that inspired them too. He was there for my important chapters in my adult life. But now that he's gone, we're going to have to build our Lives without him. It seems so wrong. I didn't even tell this to Mordecai for he was excited to get back to art school and pursue his dream. I didn't want to ruin the mood for him. In fact, I didn't bother at all to tell anyone." It's like graduating high school and becoming space rangers is not enough to make Pops or anyone notice how far I've came. I come to Lookout Mountain to reflect on what the future has in store for me now that Pops is gone and everyone else is moving on with their lives. Sometimes it hurts.", Rigby poured out everything that was bothering him. Eileen saw the guilt, shame and worry on his face. She didn't like seeing him upset nor in pain. She gently held Rigby's head up to look into her eyes hoping to help give him the encouragement that he needed. br /"Rigby, look at me. Don't ever feel like you've hadn't done enough for us to know that you've changed for the better. It's never wrong for us to move on without him. Don't fight this let alone blame yourself. Pops wouldn't want you to feel like this.", Eileen tried reasoning with Rigby as the raccoon shed a few tears./p
p class="MsoNormal""I've been holding this for so long since we've came back on Earth. I couldn't help but fel like this with seeing us moving on and building memories. I really miss him. He's the reason Mordecai and I got a second chance to hold a steady job and to make it.", Rigby said still having some guilt. Eileen had a comforting smile on her face hugging the raccoon as he lets out his sadness and guilt. The mole and raccoon were like this until they broke apart. Eileen showed Rigby the starlit sky making an effort for Rigby to understand the big picture. br /"Rigby, it's okay not to feel Okay. We all miss Pops and he was a great person who is willing to fight for his friends. I felt the same way as you are now but I remembered that he wouldn't want us to be sad and he's up there watching us build our Lives. You're not alone for we still believe you're a great person as much as Pops is. You've been there for me when I was stewing about something andspan style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanwe overcame many obstacles getting stronger together. That's something Pops is proud of you for and from me as well.", Eileen smiled as Rigby now has hope deep within him. The raccoon remembered something during Pops' final moments. br /"You know. You're right. He wouldn't want me to feel like this at all. It's all coming back to me now. Before he died, he told Mordecai and I that we need to take care of each other. And he's right. Now that he's gone, all we got to rremember him by is his example. And Ispan style="mso-spacerun: yes;" /spanguess that's really enough to give us a reason to keep On keeping on. Oh and Eileen.", Rigby noted as Eileen was anticipating what was next. The raccoon slowly took off the mole's glasses to look at her pretty eyes. Rigby guided Eileen's face to his mouth executing a long deep kiss in which the mole picked up on and locked lips with each Other. It was beautiful under the starry night./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanLookout Mountain for both of them brought back memories especially on prom night. The mountain capped off a magical moment for both the mole and raccoon. Obviously, Sherm aka Rigby's dad crashed the tender moment over a stupid ass car. Speaking of which, both he and Rigby patched things up after so many years of Rigby feeling ignored and gained newfound respect. The mountain now in the present will be more special for Eileen wouldn't see what was happening next. They broke apart the kiss with Eileen feeling like she was walking on air./p
p class="MsoNormal""One more thing.", Rigby said as he was deep down anticipating his one shining moment. He pulled out a small black box before he placed the glasses back on her face. He told her to keep her eyes shut beforehand. He got on one knee opening the box up revealing the item he saved for such an occasion. He slipped it on Eileen's ring finger in wwhich it fits perfectly. The raccoon smiled at his handiwork before he gulped knowing this is it. Go big or go home./p
p class="MsoNormal""You can open your eyes now.", the raccoon said as Eileen did as Instructed. She gasped as the item on her finger was a ring with a jasper band and a beautiful jewel in the center. She put two and two together seeing Rigby in a proposing Position. br /"Rigby. Oh my! Is that what I think it is?"/p
p class="MsoNormal""Yes. It's the jasper geode turned into a ring. It's the same one we found in the cave before I graduated high school. I kept it as a reminder to be true to myself and also for you as well. NO worries for Skips crafted this for me at no extra charge.", Rigby said as Eileen's eyes were in shock that the raccoon kept that for so Long and more importantly attempting to go to the next level of both his and the mole's lives. The mole didn't know what to say as Rigby continued. br /"Eileen, you're the first and only girl that ever gave me a chance despite what I've put you through in the past. We've been through ups and downs making memories so rad. I'm such a sap but you make me so happy that you're in my life like many others had in mine. I improved for myself, you and for those that care about us since day one. What I'm trying to say is that I want to spend one grand adventure meaning the rest of my life with you taking on the world and whatever it throws at us together. Eileen, will you marry me?", Rigby confessed as he saw the mole's eyes well up with tears. The raccoon was nervous hoping it wasn't the wrong time but to his joy, he got the answer he was looking for. The mole pulled him into an embrace. br /"Yes! Yes! I will marry you! I've been waiting for you to say that for some time after we've landed on Earth. My prayers have been answered.", the mole said in Joy as Rigby cheered loudly. br /"WHOOOOOOOOOAAA!"/p
p class="MsoNormal""Ah, shaaadup! Ya moron!", the nearby men rudely interrupted the tender moment. However, that was the moment they knew they've effed up. Eileen whipped around at them with an angry glare and unleashed something. br /"Rigby, cover your ears.", she said sweetly as Rigby did as he was told. The mole then made a loud—/p
p class="MsoNormal"RAAAAWR-RAO-RAAAAOW/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanEileen roared in comic fashion causing the drunks to run away in fear for their lives. Rigby's eyes grew as saucers watching the event unfold before him. Eileen then had a sweet smile on her face with the raccoon shaking off his stupor. br /"Note to self, never ever try to Piss you off like that for as long as I live.", Rigby gulped with the mole giggling. br /"Oops. I don't know my own strength sometimes. Anyway, where were we?", Eileen said flirtatiously prompting them to kiss as the full moon was Still in effect. After making out for a while, they came up for air as Rigby had a genuine smile on his face with an epiphany. br /"Eileen, I have just the thing to commemorate Pops' sacrifice on Memorial Day at the park. There's a song I've think suits Pops well. Trust me. It's nothing silly but I would need Mordecai to come by since his break is just around the four day weekend.", Rigby said having an idea to express how he is grateful for what has transpired. Eileen tilted her head with a curious look that made her even cuter in Rigby's eyes. br /"Hmm. And what song could it bee?", she asked with Rigby smiling. br /"You'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, I'll have to Pull some strings.", Rigby suggested. Before the couple left for home, the raccoon looked up at the sky and smiled. br /"Pops. Thank you, man. You really did put on a jolly good show. Now it's time for me to do the same.", Rigby said before leaving Lookout Mountain with his now fiancée. Once they returned home, Rigby went to work on setting up the plan in motion./p
p class="MsoNormal"======Four days later=========/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanAll of the park crew and those that knew them best were at the stage where a statue of Pops was sitting behind. The Memorial Day celebration at the park was such a success to the public but for this occasion was this closed off o only Pops' friends and family. Present was Benson, Mr. Melard, Muscle Man and Starla with their children, Fives and Celia with their son, Sad Zax, Skips, Pam, Techmo, The Guardians, Death, Eileen, Margaret, Cj surprisingly, Mordecai and plenty others who knew the crew over their adventures including Sure Shot and company. It was dusk as everyone was awaiting what will transpire./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanMordecai went to Rigby fistbumping before sharing a heart to heart. Rigby told the guys at the park beforehand that he and Eileen are engaged. The blue jay smiled at his best friend congratulating him. br /"Congrats, man. I'm happy for you and Eileen. Who to think that it's only me, Skips and Benson yet to marry.", Mordecai noted holding a guitar. Rigby chuckled at his friend's realization. br /"Yeah, dude. I figured. So how's art school doing for you so far?" And thanks, dude.", the raccoon asked. br /"It's going great so far. I'm currently doing some abstract art in my spare time. It's coming along nicely."br /"Is it on a person?"/p
p class="MsoNormal""Yeah. I'm doing a project on you, Margaret and CJ.", Mordecai said with Rigby's eyes widened with excitement. br /"Yo! An art of moi? That's awesome, man! Looking forward to seeing it. Wait a sec. Does CJ know about this? We hadn't heard from her in a while.", Rigby wondered raising an eyebrow./p
p class="MsoNormal""Yeah. CJ and I are cool now though we're not dating. It's water under the bridge at this point. Anyway, how's Benson and the others doing?", Mordecai asked. br /"They're doing good. Working at the park is Okay but it isn't the same without you, dude.", Rigby noted honestly. br /"It was good times of the both of us getting chewed out by Benson with every chance he gets. Sipppin' on hot coffee afterwards. The one near college isn't as good as the one here near the park though.", the blue jay noted. br /"Yeah. I feel you. Oh and to be honest with you, I was scared of the future and what would hold for us after our tour Of duty in space. It has been bothering me sometimes.", Rigby said explaining what he told Eileen few days ago. Mordecai was surprised at this and he put a hand on Rigby's shoulder of assurance. br /"Dude, you held that for that long? You shouldn't have bottled that up, man. I would help you if something like this bothered you. No time away at college's gonna stop me from helping my bro. But I'm glad you're feeling better. Speaking of which, what song did you come up with for a proper tribute to Pops?", Mordecai wondered as Rigby whispered it to him. The blue jay turned to the raccoon with a genuine smile on his beak. br /"Dude, that's a perfect song. It definitely fits what Pops stood for."br /"I knew you'd like it. For old cart's sake, Mordecai and the Rigbys one last time?", Rigby asked as his best friend nodded before they did their signature "Hmm-Hmmm-Hmm" catchphrase carrying their guitars. Skips decided to do the keyboard, Benson on drums, Muscle Man and Fives on synthesizer and bass found the two. br /"Hey, guys. It's time.", Skips nnoted. br /"Yeah, bro! It's showtime! Woooooo!", Muscle Man cheered. br /"Yeah, guys. Time to put on a jolly good show! For Pops!", Benson encouraged not in much of a foul mood like he was years ago./p
p class="MsoNormal""For Pops!", the guys said as they all went on stage. The boys were looking at everyone in attendance. They spotted Mr. Melard looking somberly eyeing the statue of his son. He held his composure for everyone but he wasn't the same since Pops passed away. Eileen, CJ, Margaret, Rigby's brother Don and their parents were sitting in front. Jim Blondski and the gang from high school now in college cheered for the guys. After a while, the crowd died down as Rigby decided to speak on behalf of the group. br /"First, I would like to say thank you everyone for coming. I means a lot to us and our friend who is no longer with us.", Rigby said solemnly. The crowd was saddened remembering the funeral from several months ago. However, the raccoon kept it together and continued. br /"Memorial Day is all about remembering those who gave their lives in the fight for something better and for what they've believe in. Pops fought for both reasons. It's hard to believe for those who were left behind on Earth 3 years ago but the uniberse was in danger of collapsing. Pops fought and won the battle but sometimes victories can end up being pyrrhic. It was hard to move on for us that knew him best.", Rigby explained as others didn't judge him or thought he was crazy. Mr. Melard had that feeling of being unable to move on and what to do next in his life. Rigby pressed on finishing his speech. br /"We ask ourselves of what do we do when someone we love is gone? It's hard to say for everyone is different of tackling the problem. But what I can say is that even though he's not with us anymore, left something behind and that is his example. And that example is to take care of each other. That was his final wish and I will carry on that wish along with everyone of us doing the same. Which is why I wanted to start with this song I've came across that fit Pops perfectly.. That song helped me through tough times and others too. So I want to show you rather than I tell you.", Rigby said before the guys prepared their Instruments. The lights shined on them signaling them to put on a jolly good show./p
p class="MsoNormal"=====Forever He Will Be My Hero- Theme Of Captain Falcon from F-Zero GX=====/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanThe instruments played perfectly to the song as Rigby and Mordecai were ready to sing their piece. Eileen watched as her fiancée begin to sing. br /Rigby: In this world, you got to be strong./p
p class="MsoNormal"Mordecai: You got to fight to keep your spirit alive. br /Mr. Melard looked surprised at the lyrics with everyone amazed. The other park workers were deep down touched of what Rigby did as the two knuckleheads continued./p
p class="MsoNormal"Both: And you might feel like there is nothing left to go for and fight for. But the fight keeps us ready and on guard./p
p class="MsoNormal"Rigby: Even I can feel the power. Wen I think of him, I see no fear. br /Both: Feel no Pain! Forever he will be my hero!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Mordecai: Better believe he knows the way!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Rigby: And not just only tonight. br /Both: And now that I'm not just a dreamer./p
p class="MsoNormal"Mordecai: And I know what I got what he's got!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Both: And not just only tonight!/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanA montage of all the adventures Pops and the gang had been on Earth and in space. Each showed them going through good and bad times from hanging out at Wing Kingdom, wrestling as Huge Head, going on various antics and space adventures including fighting Anti-Pops and his army./p
p class="MsoNormal"Both: I have the power, I will fight to the end. I will fight to the end!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Rigby: Even I can feel the power. When I think of him I see no fear!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Both: Feel no pain! Forever he will be my hero!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Mordecai: Better believe he knows the way! br /Rigby: And not just only tonight./p
p class="MsoNormal"Both: And now that I'm not Just a dreamer!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Mordecai: And I know what I got what he's got! br /Both: And not Just only tonight!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Mordecai: Forever he will be my hero!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Rigby: Forever he will be my hero!br /Mordecai: And now that I'm not just a dreamer!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Rigby: And now that I'm not just a dreamer./p
p class="MsoNormal"Mordecai: Forever he will be my hero!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Rigby: Forever he will be my hero!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Mordecai: And now that I'm not just a dreamer!/p
p class="MsoNormal"Rigby: And now that I'm not just a dreamer. br /"Mordecai then finished the final part of the lyrics as the crowd felt touched by what Mordecai and Rigby did for a tribute to Pops. In fact, Mr. Melard sheds tears of joy and realization that his son is watching down on them smiling with the same tears of happiness. Benson and Muscle Man struggled to hold their composure not by rage but by crying feeling a mixture of missing Pops and the fact that they are still here. Eileen, CJ and Margaret wiped their eyes of tears and even Sure Shot had to hold in some tears. br /"Dude, man The feels! I promise I wouldn't cry. Oh forget it!", Sure Shot cried his eyes out as Mordecai finished up. br /"Mordecai: Forever he will be my hero. And now that I'm not just a dreamer. Forever he will be my hero. And now that I'm not just a dreamer./p
p class="MsoNormal"-/p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanThe song ended on a good note with the crowd stunned not knowing what to say after what they've heard. The band stood proudly as Rigby and Mordecai silently looked at each other satisfied of what they've accomplished. They then heard applause from the audience as the band had no words to share but Looks of appreciation and a newfound vigor to move forward not for themselves anymore but for Pops as well./p
p class="MsoNormal"span style="mso-tab-count: 1;" /spanMr. Melard finally found some closure and was ready to move on to the next chapter of his life believing that one day he will see his son again. One-by-one, they all left the park as they carry on Pops' wish. Don and Rigby's parents were proud of the raccoon for growing up and engaged to Eileen. CJ smiled at Mordecai Knowing deep down he'd also changed since being in outer space hinting at giving things another chance someday. Overall, all has left as Mordecai had to drive back to college with CJ leaving Eileen and Rigby alone for a moment as they gazed at each other's eyes. The mole saw growth within the raccoon after doing a nice thing for their lollipop friend in his memory./p
p class="MsoNormal""That was so kind of you to do for Pops and Mr. Melard. I knew you had changed for the better. For that, you're also my hero. p class="MsoNormal"A/N: And that's the one shot, folks. This is my first Regular Show fic and watching Pops die at the end of the series was quite a tearjerker for me. And the fact the Halloween and Christmas episodes of Season 8 are Pops' last time alive with his friends makes it even more sad. The next one-shot features Rigby and Eileen getting hitched or maybe Rigby meeting his soon to be in-laws. Find out next time but as always, LilMancub out and I'll see y'all in the next one./p
