Hey all. I know a lot of people here have been on the Arcadia school PHO page, and have loved the daily local cape updates as much as I have. Sadly, Winslow never had their own set of unmasked capes to brag about... until now.
So without further ado, I hereby create the Winslow Cape News thread.
...even if we actually only have one cape to our name.

But that doesn't explain why they called themselves the Panda gang! Even with the whole 'saved by panda dude' backstory!
Like, the name just makes me think the school is controlled by a bunch of hyperactive twelve-year-olds, not that they are following the orders of one of the strongest capes in the city.

Idk what to tell you dude. Other than just don't laugh in their faces, because I'm pretty sure that despite the cute and cuddly name, they can still beat the shit out of you any day of the week, even without Nexus just slapping you down.

If she did, she would have to have worked on how photogenic she is as well. Was looking through my friend's pics and showing off my own, and we noticed that her hair is always perfectly placed, that the light happens to hit juuuuust right when you take a picture or even just look at her, and that anytime she is drinking or eating something, she somehow manages to look good doing it.
Considering I have never seen someone who can eat Winslow's sloppy joe's and look good doing so until today, I call bullshit on all this.

She doesn't get to spend time slapping down enemy capes with the Triumvirate or running her own team from her personal castle/mall/whatever-hell-she-feels-like-it-being-today, noooo, she now gets all the good looking guys going for her too.

Good Afternoon,
It is with great joy that I announce a joint venture between the Oathbound and the Brockton Bay Chamber of Commerce!
Nexus, a valued member of the Brockton Bay community, has recently come into possession of a large amount of land. Having little need of much of the area for herself or her team, she has generously agreed to aid the local economy by opening much of that room for use by commercial interests. The Chamber of Commerce has already secured multiple interested parties in conjunction with the Mayor's office, and we have already gained the PRT's approval for the project.
Multiple vendors have already begun moving into place, and a store run by the local cape and member of the Oathbound, Parian, will be among the first open! Parian's Apparel will feature a wide variety of fashionable clothes and other cloth goods.
But it's not just clothes that you will find here! Everything from dining to gaming will be represented!
And of course, you will be able to tour the inside of the Oathbound's base of operations, and may even have a chance to see a member of the Oathbound or the PRT as they patrol!
We hope that everyone is looking forward to this as much as we are!

Ohhhh, apparently we're getting a Cheesecake Factory in the mall! Oh man, now I have to go! Parian's alone was a pretty big draw, but c'mon, how can I pass up a freaking Cheesecake Factory?

So that's the third restaurant that's planning on moving in. I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit surprised at the interest being shown in this. I know Parahumans are a pretty big draw tourism wise, but still, setting up shop in a hero's base seems a tad risky, since you could always get a crazy villain showing up out of the blue.

Yeah, funny thing about that, Nexus has some sort of 'notice me not' field around her place. Doesn't work on anyone who doesn't plan to be a shitlord or anything, but if you are, you apparently can't find it. Lot of people nowadays just run towards the castle whenever they're in trouble, because it basically screws over whoever is chasing you. It's why a lot of the wannabe gangbangers have been having so much trouble setting up in her neighborhood, even with Nexus sitting back and chilling most of the time. Can't fuck with people who are too close to the castle reliably, which makes it really hard to scare anyone in the area.
