Here's my more likely idea of how Starline could've survived. It also relies on the idea that someone who got upgraded like Kit was would automatically heal no matter what even after Eggperial City blew up. For all we know you could regenerate from that, since Surge's fast healing is based on the fast healing of the zombots. I prefer the idea he wasn't crushed at all.
