Chrissie Watts The Cold Blooded Killer:
Chrissie Watts along with Zoe Slater, and Sam Hunter had together plotted their revenge against Chrissie's husband Den Watts. Chrissie wanted revenge as she'd had enough of Den's lies and adultery. Zoe wanted revenge as Den was forcing her to fake a pregnancy and then had to sleep with him. Sam wanted revenge as she'd lost her pub to Den in a corrupt scheme that both Den and Chrissie were involved in. Chrissie had planned to intimidate Den in signing the pub over to her. The three women confronted him in the Queen Vic but Den took it in his stride and openly spoke about his sins, he was unaware that his daughter Sharon was hiding at the other side of the pub and had overheard her father's confessions. She appeared in front of him.
"Princess!" he gasped.
"Hello dad!" said Sharon.
Sharon had berated Chrissie for tricking her into coming back to Walford with the lie that her father was ill. She stormed out of the pub and Den went after her. Chrissie knew that Sharon was the one person that Den truly loved and knew that Den loosing the love of his favourite child would destroy him.
Den walked back into the Vic and faced Chrissie.
"Sharon gone?" she asked.
Den remained silent.
"Now you know what it feels like to loose the person that you love! Now you know what its like to be me!" Chrissie shouted.
Unable to control his rage Den charged at Chrissie and attacked her by hitting her head against a fruit machine. Quickly Zoe picked up the nearest object she could find and hit Den over the head with it and he fell to the ground.
"I've killed him! "I've killed him Sam!" Zoe cried
Zoe dropped the object.
"You've killed my husband!" said Chrissie.
"My bracelet I've got to find it!" stammered Zoe as she went down on hands and knees to search for it.
"Don't worry its a piece of tat!" Sam replied.
"Den get up!" Sam pleaded.
Perceiving that Den was dead Zoe turned to Chrissie.
"Chrissie, what we do?" Zoe asked.
Chrissie remained silent trying to get her head around of what had just occurred.
"Chrissie!" Zoe screamed.
Chrissie shook head and instructed Sam to lock the doors at the back of the pub, and for Zoe to turn all of the lights off and frantically told them to be quick about it.
A smug Chrissie looked at Den.
"I might not of been the first woman in your life Den but I won't be the last!" she said like she'd won.
Suddenly Den grabbed Chrissie';s leg.
"You'll never get me out of the Vic!" he hissed.
Chrissie quickly grabbed the doorstop and delivered a fatal blow to Den's head unaware that Sam had just witnessed what she'd done.
Zoe came back followed by Sam.
"Chrissie, I didn't mean to kill him! I thought he was going to kill you!" Zoe explained.
"He was already dead when he hit the ground!" Chrissie said reassuringly.
She then tod Sam and Zoe that if they're interviewed by police about what happened to Den they would have to get their stories straight. Sam and Zoe nodded in agreement.
The three of them buried Den in a hole in the pub's cellar the next morning the hole was filled with cement.
Despite knowing that Zoe was innocent Chrissie allowed her to believe that she'd murdered Den. Consequently a power struggle broke out between Chrissie and Sam, Sam who wanted her back in return that she'll keep quiet about Chrissie murdering Den. Both Chrissie and Sam were trying to control Zoe.
In the meantime, Chrissie publicly accounts for Den's sudden disappearance by declaring that he's run off with another women and tried to make her story convincing by throwing his clothes out into the street and engaged in a bogus phone conversation with him in front of a packed pub . She successfully removes Zoe from Albert Square for a time, and began a relationship with Jake Moon.
However, Sam had taken the doorstop which was the murder weapon used by Chrissie to kill Den with and had hidden it in her flat. She then proceeded to blackmail Chrissie that unless the Pub is given back to her, she would inform the police. Chrissie stalls for time, and eventually calls Sam's bluff that she would take her down with her if she goes to the police. Desperate Sam tried to corner Chrissie by telling Zoe the truth of what really happened on the night Den was murdered. Zoe confronts Chrissie before fleeing to Spain and tells her mum Kat Slater what has happened before she leaves Walford.
Dennis and Sharon return to Walford in search of their father. On Dennis and Sharon's wedding day, a drunken Sam enters the Queen Vic and is very frustrated and is armed with a pick axe she smashes up the Vic as well as Den's grave and digs up his body in the hope that Chrissie would be sent down for his death. Unfortunately this backfires and Sam is arrested on suspicion of murdering Den as Den's bloodstains are found under her sink also her story was constantly changing.
Chrissie asks Kat to get her cousin Stacey Slater to give a false alibi that Zoe and Chrissie were with her on the night Den died. Kat agrees as it would mean Zoe was safe from the police.
Sam's mum Peggy Mitchell returns to Walford to free Sam. During Den's funeral Peggy unexpectedly turns up and shouts.
"Chrissie Watts! Murderer!"
She then goes onto say.
"Tell him you're sorry!"
As Chrissie attempts walk away saying.
" I don't have to listen to this!"
Peggy grabs her saying.
"I said tell him!"
and slaps Chrissie who ends up falling into Den's grave and on top of his coffin.
Peggy is dragged away by Jake who tells her that Sam was the one who put Den in that box. Peggy then yells as she leaves.
"Tell Den!"
Chrissie is completely petrified after the incident as the night of Den's murder comes back to haunt her.
Chrissie plans to sell the pub to Johnny Allen and a mystery buyer, and flee the country, although Phil and Grant Mitchell taunt her but she's unfazed as Sharon still supports her. However, Grant finally convinces Sharon to visit Sam in prison. Sharon still believes Chrissie is innocent but finally learns the truth when Chrissie makes innocuous, but telling comment. Realising that Sharon knows Chrissie becomes distraught as she felt that so long as Sharon Den's daughter thought well of herself. Panicking she begins to make mistakes, arguing with Jake outside Johnny's club Chrissie had confessed her role in Den's death and lets information regarding her guilt slip as they argue this is caught on CCTV by Johnny who's delighted in telling Jake that he has a recording.
Chrissie asks Johnny to give her money for the Queen Vic right away and Johnny took advantage of this by saying.
"The only way that you'll get the money is by sleeping with me!"
Chrissie resists and responds by saying.
"I'll not hurt Jake!"
Johnny tells her she will not be receiving the money and he then tells Phil and Grant about the tape.
Chrissie soon discovers that Ian Beale was the mystery buyer for the pub and she and Jake make a quick sale to Ian before fleeing Walford. At the airport they're caught by police along with Sharon, Phil, and Grant.
"You left a false trail Chrissie!" said Sharon.
"Your definitely your father's daughter Sharon!" Chrissie replied.
" I might not have been the first woman in your life, but I won't be the last! That's what you said to dad isn't! Isn't?" Sharon responded.
" Well this might not be the first time this has happened to you…" she shouted and punched Chrissie in the face.
"And I hope it won't be the last!" Sharon yelled.
"That's enough!" roared the male police officer.
The female police officer put Chrissie in handcuffs and said.
" Mrs Chrissie Watts I'm arresting you for the murder of Mr Den Watts you don't have to say anything that will later rely on in court whatever you do say may given as evidence."
Chrissie told the police she would only cooperate in exchange for a meeting with Sharon. This was earned and Chrissie tried to make Sharon realise why she murdered her father, to no avail. Chrissie revealed that she forged Den's signature on the document in which Den handed the pub over to Chrissie the pub which would now legally be belonging to Sharon.
Jake went and visited Chrissie in prison and asked her to marry him. Chrissie discovered that Jake has lost twenty five thousand pounds which was suppose to be her bail money, Chrissie storms out of the visiting room and calls him an idiot. She then begins plotting revenge on Sharon for sending her to prison by trying to force Sharon to testify in court about what Den was really like, wanting to see Sharon crumble at confessing how her father cheated and supposedly and allegedly beat her mother.
After a week in prison she gave up and dismissed her solicitor and decided to plead guilty of murdering Den, and after an emotional farewell to Jake Chrissie walked back into her prison cell with a contented smile as in her eyes she had achieved by getting rid of her husband as he was a liar, and a cheat. Also without the assistance of Zoe and Sam they made sure that Den got whatg was coming to him. Since her release from prison nobody knows the whereabouts of Chrissie and nobody has seen or heard from her since.
