A/N: I'm unsure what to put as a title as putting Arc's Gacha or A Knight Gacha feels super cliché and uncreative to me.

I would love it if you guys suggest a suitable title.

Jaune woke up confused of what was in front of him, at first he thought he was still asleep and in a very lucid dream.

But after a few pinch on the cheeks, and slapping his face multiple times. He had no choice but to acknowledge the screen in front of him wasn't a mere fragment of his imagination.

[ You have 1 Roll. ]

[ Would you like to use it? ]

Jaune stared at the screen in front of him, like a dead lemming, nothing will happen if he doesn't do anything, plus he's a bit curious of what this is all about.

"Yes..?" His voice was filled with uncertainty.

And something happened after he issued a command, a digitized version of a gacha machine appeared.

Above the gacha machine was a number 1, he wasn't stupid and knew that it was the number of how many times he could roll.

Now, he was filled with curiosity and pulled the lever to roll, and after a second he got something.

[ Advanced Cooking Knowledge (Uncommon) ]

Just like that, his mind suddenly gained a vast knowledge of cooking, what to do and how it is done.

Jaune was speechless for a bit, before smiling excitedly. "Woah this is awesome!"

Juniper woke up early in the morning, as it is only necessary as she is a mother of 8 children, after leaving her husband in the bed. It was time for her to prepare breakfast for her children.

However, as she got closer to the kitchen, she smelled something absolutely appetizing, which made her curious as to who was cooking early in the morning in their family kitchen.

As soon as she stepped in the kitchen, she saw someone unexpected. From all of the children she expected to wake up this early, the last thing was expecting was her son.

"Jaune..?" Juniper approached her only son with surprise and curiosity.

This was totally unlike him, usually he would be still on his bed sleeping until she or his older sisters woke him up.

Her son noticed her and smiled at her presence, which was a bit surprising considering he was a bit gloomy after her husband refused to train her son to be a huntsman.

Honestly, it made her bitter knowing that her baby boy won't probably be able to follow that dream, as her husband is very against him or anyone from this family to become a Huntsman.

It wasn't like she couldn't understand her husband, after all a Huntsman is the most dangerous occupation in the world and they would die anytime of the day.

She feared that her son would be one of those casualties, that's why she didn't support him in his endeavor.

Either way, she was curious as to why he was suddenly using the kitchen to cook now.

"Oh, good morning mom! I'm almost done making breakfast for all of us, why don't you take a seat at the table?" Her son smiled happily at her.

This is certainly new, either way she decided to humor him and sat at the table and said. "What's with the occasion? Because this definitely isn't your style to cook early in the morning.."

"Oh, nothing. I just wanted to try something new." Her son replied as he was flipping the frying pan like a professional.

How odd, but she kept her silence about it. Because this was definitely better than a gloomy Jaune.

After a few minutes, her daughters started to come out of their respective rooms.

Like her, they were too surprised by Jaune, so they asked her what's up with their brother, which she replied by shaking her head as frankly she has no idea either.

When her son was finally done with his cooking, he then started to place the plates one by one in a formal way, like she often saw in a high-end restaurant.

And to make her even more dumbfounded than she already is, the dishes that her son cooked wasn't an ordinary breakfast like bacon and egg or any other Valean common breakfast.

But a full-blown high end restaurant meal that often would be seen in a movie of some sort.

How?!

And when did her son have a skill like this!

While gaping like a gold-fish, her son sat down and smiled at her and his sister's deeply surprised expression.

"What are you looking at? Dig in while it's hot." He said.

Snapping out of it and she thought. 'No, no it might look appetizing, but maybe it tastes bland..'

Using the spoon to taste the pork soup, and immediately the flavor exploded in her tongue, literally.

And without knowing, she began to eat it robotically, eventually eating all pork soup and only managed to regain her bearings after she finished.

Similar reactions happened to her daughters, heck some of them were moaning.

Looking at her only son who was looking pretty proud and smug of himself.

But right now, that was very far away from what she is thinking right now, looking at the dishes left. Juniper didn't hesitate and tried all of them.

And they were as good if not better than the pork soup she just tried.

After finishing the meal, she couldn't help but look at her son in a new light.

'That's it.. there's no doubt about…my son…my son..is a cooking prodigy!'

Juniper thought without a doubt that her baby boy is a genius at cooking because there's no other way it's possible for him to cook as good as this if he wasn't a genius!

Forget about being a Huntsman, his talent clearly lies in cooking!

As his parents, there's no way she would be willing to waste such talent!

It was decided, she would discuss this with Nicholas, there's no doubt he would agree to this.

After all, isn't this what he wanted?

For Jaune to avoid being a Huntsman.

This is like killing 2 birds in one stone.

With that in mind, she was determined for this to happen.

Looking at his family reaction, he couldn't help but feel proud and excited.

'This is so amazing! I knew how to look like a professional thanks to that weird gacha machine!'

Jaune wasn't sure if that gacha thing was a one-time thing, but he hopes it was not. To finally have a taste of what it's like to have his family acknowledge him.

Suddenly a blue screen pops out once more in front of him.

[ Secret Side Quest - Impress your family with you cooking skills. ]

[ Reward - 1 Gacha Roll. ]

Woah!

Yet another surprise, to think it would also give quests like RPG games!

Jaune was now sure that his weird ability is similar to that of a game.

It is now confirmed that it isn't just a one-time thing and was happy to know that he could get more rolls in random quests.

Although, he had a rough idea how this secret quest works.

Either way, he was very excited about the possibility of what this gacha machine would give him.

Since it literally gave him knowledge that he doesn't have experienced with, there's no doubt in his mind that it would also be capable of giving him knowledge on how to fight.

And hoping to use it to be a huntsman.

Because of the existence of this seemingly supernatural power that he suddenly obtained, it fueled him to become a huntsman more.

At the very least it wasn't a hopeless dream anymore, there's a real chance of achieving it.

Jaune decided to use the roll, hoping that he would get a skill related to fighting and as the digital gacha rolled.

He finally saw what he got.

[ A Schee's Love Letter (Rare) ]

A love letter appeared in his lap, no one from his family saw it as it directly went into his lap.

Jaune stared at the love letter and was really disappointed, however he didn't let it get over it, as he quickly took out what's inside the love letter.

Curious of what's inside it.

The letters were written in an elegant and sophisticated way, he never knew someone could write this perfectly.

And then he started reading the content.

Like the title stated, it is indeed a love letter addressed to him, it was filled with affection, hope and desperation.

It says that she decided to write this because she might regret it if she doesn't, so poured her everything in this very letter and honestly Jaune was moved from it.

Although it confused him, he never met this girl or the fact that the date that this letter was written was decades ago.

There's no way he was this Jaune Arc from the letters since he's 16 and this letter was addressed 2 decades ago.

Finally looking at the sender's name.

"Willow Schee.. wonder who this girl is…" Jaune decided not to think deeply about it, since it doesn't really matter as he's not the Jaune she wrote this for, for a rare rated item it was such a disappointment.

Before he could try and throw it away, he noticed that there was a ring beneath the envelope.

It was stainless steel, it was nothing really special aside from its logo that looks like snowflake and a letter W.S at the back of the ring.

"Huh..a ring..?" Without thinking about it, he put it on his ring finger and it fit perfectly.

Then when he was about to take it off, he couldn't as if it was deeply rooted into his ring finger and he had a feeling it wouldn't come off unless he cut his ring finger off.

After a few minutes of trying, ultimately he gave up trying for now as there's nothing he could do.

Little did he know that this ring was made from a very special material, not to mention the fact that it has a silver of the owner's aura.

Inside the Schee mansion, there was a heavily drunken woman who was lost in touch with reality and completely cut off from the rest of the world.

All of the sudden a ring from her finger suddenly glowed, and the woman's eyes slowly widened at the unexpected reaction of the ring.

"It can't be.."

For the first time in many years, hope blossomed into the woman's chest.
