Motivation Talk for the Big Festival
Cementoss just left the Class 1-A with Modern Literature being over and lunch has begun, the students start talking about the Sports Festival and how excited they are for it.
"Man! Oh man, I'm so pumped for these games!" Eijiro excited.
"We put on a good show, and we're basically on the road to being pros!" Hanta said smiling.
"Yeah, this is why I'm even here in the first place." Rikido revealed as he pound his fist into his hand.
"We get so few chances. We have to make the most of this." Fumikage advised.
"Oh man, Ojiro, I'm getting kind of nervous about the festival!" Toru squealed standing in front of the tail boy.
"I have to come up with a way to get noticed! Maybe with a cheer!" Toru suggested on that.
"Uh, sure… Maybe you should be looking at a shinier costume or something? Otherwise, you're gonna have to try really hard." Mashirao advised, worried for the invisible girl.
"I think she can do it, making herself seen in a way that only she can." Shoto believed.
"Aw, thank you for that, Todoroki." Toru blushed.
"(Still not sure how you'll do it though.)" Mashirao thought hoped everything will be fine for her.
"My, what's a boy to do? I stand out even when I'm standing still. That means the scouts won't be able to take their eyes off me!" Yuga bragged at Koji who was very shy to respond to this.
"Don't you agree?" Yuga asked, leaning closer to Koji who just nod nervously.
"You're so lucky, Shoji. People are bound to notice your unique Quirk." Denki pointed out how cool Mezo is.
"Sure, but what matters is that I show them how useful I can be." Mezo stated.
"No doubt, you'll make a scene too." Kyoka mocked, imaging Denki's stupid face of using his Quirk too much.
"Oh yeah, I'm gonna make the most epic killer scene anyone can possibly imagined and will be shocked in more ways than one!" Denki smirked, not letting Kyoka's insults get to him.
"(Guess Leo's words really helped pump him up. Maybe the handsome dragon can be cool.)" Kyoka thought surprised.
"(Wait, when did I start thinking of him as handsome?)" Kyoka thought confused at herself.
"Looks like this festival is gonna be your chance to show off, Katsuki." Luna said.
"Those pros are going to find out the hard way why I'm the top dog!" Katsuki smirked with tiny explosions from his hand.
"Wow! This is gonna be nuts with everyone so excited." Izuku noticed how everyone is being right now.
"Well yeah, of course, we are. We enrolled at this school with the sole aim to become heroes. So naturally, we're all getting fired up." Tenya said while moving his arms and hips.
"Wow, Iida. Those are some interesting moves. Ribbit." Tsuyu commented.
"Aren't you excited, Izuku? I figured you wanna make yourself known to the public soon." Leo said to his strange destined partner.
"Well yeah, of course, I am! And also nervous." Izuku admitted.
"Deku! Iida! Leo! Luna" Ochaco talked in a deep tone.
Izuku and Tenya and the Fudo twins turn to their friend only to become shock of how suddenly Ochaco look very fierce like a predator animal or a mighty warrior on the battlefield out for some blood.
"Let's do our best in the sports festival." Ochaco said deep again.
"Ochaco, what happened to your face?" Izuku asked, feeling a bit scared.
"Seriously, what's up? You're normally, like, the most laid-back girl ever." Mina asked, wondering what has gotten into this girl.
"It's almost like she's being possess by a spirit of extreme sports and wants to win no matter what." Luna surprised and a bit scared at the same time.
Minoru was about to say something perverted and gross, so Tsuyu slapped him on the face with her tongue to stop that from happening.
"Ochaco, did you watch a violent horror movie?" Tsuyu asked.
"Everyone! I'm gonn do my best!" Ochaco shouted with her fist in the air and determination, this got the four classmates to cheer "Yeah" for her.
Then Ochaco turn to the other classmates with the same fierce look.
"I said, I'm gonna do my best!" Ochaco shouted which got the boys to nervously raise their fists too.
"You okay? You kind look like you're losin' it." Eijiro asked concern.
"Okay Ochaco, now you're really having me concern about your mental health. Should we go see Recovery Girl?" Luna asked, to make sure her friend is alright in the head.
"Just whack her with a frying pan." Katsuki offered a little advised.
"We are not pulling a cartoon move on her!" Luna immediately turned down the idea.
"(Now that I think about it. There's something I've been meaning to ask her.)" Izuku thought believed this would be a good time to ask her.
Izuku, Tenya, Ochaco, Leo, Luna, Kyoka and Tsuyu walk together for the cafeteria as the Deku dragon boy decided to ask Ochaco this question.
"Hey, Ochaco?" Izuku said.
"What's up?" Ochaco responded.
"Why did you decide to come to UA? What made you wanna be a pro hero?" Izuku asked the question. This causes Ochaco to flinch a bit and her cheeks blush a tiny bit.
"Is it something embarrassing that you're blushing?" Tsuyu asked.
"Or maybe it's more of the top-secret thing." Mina guessed.
"No, no, it's nothing like that! It's because…" Ochaco felt a little worry about telling her friends this, but decided to tell them since they are her friends.
"For the money." Ochaco revealed.
Well, that answer was quite a surprise for the group of friends as they stare at her for a moment until one of them spoke.
"Huh, didn't see that coming." Kyoka commented.
"F… For the money? You wanna be a hero so you can get rich?" Izuku surprised to hear that coming from such a nice girl like Ochaco.
"If we're cutting to the chase, then yeah." Ochaco said, rubbing the back of her head.
"Sounds like someone's being greedy." Tsuyu commented bluntly.
"Hey now, I'm sure there's a good reason for that." Leo hoped there is.
"I'm sorry about that! You three have such admirable motivations. I hope you don't think less of me now." Ochaco felt ashamed of having good friends while being greedy for some cash.
"It's fine. We don't think like that to you." Tsuyu assured.
"Everyone needs to think about taking care of themselves when it comes to their daily lives." Luna stated.
"They are correct. Your goal is to support your wellbeing which is a perfectly admirable ambition to have." Tenya pointed out that some have to look out for themselves.
"Yeah, it just kind of surprising." Izuku nodded.
"Maybe you should tell us why exactly you want money more when becoming a hero." Leo suggested.
"Yeah girl, give us the details." Mina said.
"Well, you see, my family owns a construction company, but we haven't gotten any work lately, so we're flat broke. Anyway, this isn't really something I usually tell other people, but…" Ochaco explained the reason for her goal.
"Construction, eh?" Tenya does some thinking on this.
"If she got licensed, I bet she could use her Quirk to bring costs down a lot." Izuku figured that out.
"And they could sell their heavy-lifting equipment. She could float everything." Tenya added this.
"That can even help solve the money issue with your parents and the company." Luna added.
"I know, right? I've been telling Dad that since I was a kid!" Ochaco said, glad to see her friends agreeing with her, but then she looks sad.
"I'm getting a feeling there's a "But" in this story." Leo said.
"But…" Ochaco started to explain what her dad said back then.
(Flashback)
"You want to work for us?" Ochaco's dad asked surprise.
"When I grow up all big and strong, I'll help you and Mommy out any way that I can." Little Ochaco expressed her goal for her parents with tears on the verge of coming down.
Ochaco's dad smile that his daughter wants to help them that much.
"I really appreciate the thought, Ochaco. But as your dad, I'd be even happier if you achieved your dream. That's the way to make us happy and if you do make money, you can take us to Hawaii or something!" Ochaco's Dad smiled.
"Daddy…" Ochaco clutched onto her skirt.
(Flashback End)
After hearing that story, Leo and Luna look at each other thinking how their parents would also want them to be happy living out their own lives like their big brother is doing.
"Your parents sound pretty concern for you then themselves." Mina commented.
"I'm gonna become a hero. I'll sign with a good agency and make plenty of money. Then I'll be able to let my parents have an easy life!" Ochaco determined to see this goal through to the end.
This causes the group of friends to gasp upon hearing how Ochaco wants to become a hero for money, yet the money isn't for herself, it's for her parents to have a better life than the struggling ones they have to go through. And they can see the fire in her eyes.
"Oh, beautiful! How noble! Bravo! Bravo! Bravo!" Tenya clapped his hands, mood by Ochaco's noble goal.
"You have the most noble heart I have ever seen!" Luna complimented.
"Ochaco, you truly are a good person." Tsuyu smiled making Ochaco blush a bit.
"Such a sweetie pie!" Mina giggled.
"Don't worry, if you're having trouble with getting to that goal than you have us to help you. And I'm sure Izuku wouldn't mind helping you out as well." Leo said, acting as a little wingman for a tease.
"(She's not here because of some hero fantasy. She's more grounded than any of us.)" Izuku thought amazed of how amazing Ochaco of caring for others.
"My, my, it looks like there is a party going on here." Akiza said, walking up to the group along with Mei.
"Aikza, and Mei too!" Leo shocked.
"I was on my way to the cafeteria to meet up with you guys and then I ran into Akiza here." Mei explained.
"And quick literally too, it was like she was a race car." Akiza giggled.
"It looks like you guys were just having a good talk." Akiza noticed how the air feels around them.
"You could say that." Leo chuckled.
"So, shall we head out?" Akiza asked, everyone nodded and were about to head out for the cafeteria.
But a certain heroic man suddenly entered the scene.
"Young Midoriya and Young Leo are here!" All Might announced, arriving in the scene surprising the students.
"All Might?!" Akiza gasped.
"Whoa, All Might! What are you doing here?" Izuku asked.
"Lunch! Ya wanna eat with me?" All Might asked, holding up his box lunch.
"That's adorable!" Ochaco gasped at the scene.
"I think it's more thoughtful than adorable, but this is more unexpected too." Luna pointed out.
"No way, the Number 1 Hero wants to eat lunch with Leo! That is so amazing!" Mei squealed and quickly took out a few rolled up papers of blueprints.
"Here! Show these to All Might, there are designs of a former support gear he used to wear." Mei handed them to Leo.
"Huh? But we were about to have lunch together!" Leo pointed out, not wanting to leave his girlfriend hanging like that.
"Don't worry, there will be other lunches we can do together. I mean, come on, when is there going to be another opportunity for you and freckles here to have lunch with THE All Might?" Mei gestured to the hero man.
"Well, if you're really sure, then I guess it's okay." Leo smiled and shared a kiss with her.
"Aw!" Mina and Akiza felt that being so adorable between Leo and Mei, Kyoka thought a bit different while Tsuyu just stares at them. Yet, for some reason, they feel a bit jealous.
(Cafeteria)
As usual, the cafeteria is packed with students from the Hero course and other courses too, Luna and the others are waiting in line while talking about a certain subject.
"I wonder what he wanted with Deku and Leo" Ochaco asked, feeling very curious about the Number 1 Hero wanted to have a lunch date with Izuku and Leo.
"Has All Might taken an interest with those two?" Akiza asked her underclassmen curiously.
"Not that we know of, maybe he wants to know more about their combined power." Mina mentioned.
"Combined power?" Akiza puzzled on that.
"We'll tell you about it later." Luna said.
"I heard that when All Might was attacked by villains during the USJ incident, both Midoriya and Leo jumped in to help him. Perhaps that might be it." Tenya recalled what he heard from some police and the students who were there at the time.
"Oh, yeah!" Ochaco remembered that time too.
"I do recall that. Those two moved so fast, the speed was like when All Might was moving." Tsuyu remembered that moment.
"Okay, now I want to know more about it." Akiza amazed.
"I think it might be because of how similar Midoriya's Quirk is to All Might's Quirk." Tsuyu pointed out, also remembering that talk they had on that bus before USJ.
"Izuku, I can understand, but I'm not sure why All Might would be interested in my brother." Luna said, drawing a blank here.
"Oh, maybe he wants to see more on what Leo con do with his Quirk." Mei guessed.
"Besides the blueprints you have him to show to All Might." Luna mentioned.
"In any case, I think having lunch with All Might could be a nice day for them." Mina commented.
Shoto who is a few feet in front of the group within the line overheard the conversation with how All Might is having lunch with Izuku and Leo right now.
"(All Might with Midoriya and Leo, huh?)" Shoto thought wondered what could be going on with them.
"Oh look, Todoroki! They're serving oreos for snacks!" Toru squealed.
(Teachers' Lounge)
"Only 50 minutes?!" Leo and Izuku were shocked to hear what All Might said.
"Yeah, that's about how long I can use my power now. I overdid it too many times." Toshinori said while making some tea.
"That Nomu was a real tough customer. He took a lot out of me. At this point, I can barely even look like All Might for an hour and a half." Toshinori explained.
"Oh man, that's really rough for you." Leo said.
"I'm really sorry that happened to you." Izuku apologized, and the Toshinori suddenly laughs while blood was coming out of his mouth.
"Man, you and I really are alike. There's no need to apologize." Toshinori said.
"Here, a cup of tea for you, Young Midoriya." Toshinori placed a cup on the table close to Izuku.
"Thank you." Izuku thanked while Leo begins eating his lunchbox.
"The reason I brought you two here is to talk about the festival. Young Midoriya, I wanna know how your control over One for All going along?" Toshinori asked.
"It's going great, doing it at a lower precent is really helpful and I think I'm ready to up from the 5%." Izuku answered.
"It still surprised me that you got this freaky superpower from THE All Might, what was the transfer like?" Leo asked.
"It was gross, didn't think I had to eat a strand of hair." Izuku grossed out from the memory.
"I think it's time we tell you about the Quirk I gave to Young Midoriya." Toshinori said as he and Izuku nodded at each other.
They started telling each other the story about the true nature of All Might's Quirk named One for All, the power that was passed down from user to user up to nine times with Izuku being the ninth holder, everything they can tell Leo since he is now involved in this secret.
"Whoa… Just whoa!" Leo said.
"I hope you understand how important this is since we're telling you this and to keep it a secret from everyone. Even from your own family." Toshinori said.
"Yeah, I think I understand how important this is. So, I promise to keep this a secret for you guys." Leo promised strongly.
Toshinori and Izuku look at each other, feeling they have made the right decision on letting him in the secret of One for All and happy to have Leo with them.

Everyone got to learn about Ochaco's reason for wanting to become a hero and now Leo has been given the full story about One for All and how it was transferred into Izuku. Now with all that out of the way, Toshinori is about to give them a little pep-talk about the Sports Festival.
