Third POV
- Unknown Time/Date -
Somewhere in a random city, a brown hair woman is seen hurrying down a street.
*Pit*
*Pit*
*Patter*
Why does it have to start raining now? She groans as the rain starts pouring down on her and the few others that remained outside in the street. As she hurried and turned left around the corner of the street, she collided with someone and fell back on the wet ground. "Ow..." she said.
"Oh, my apologies. I didn't see you there." a male voice rang out as he lent his hand out for her. "No, it's fine. It was my fault for not watching where I was going." she said as she took the stranger's hand, pulling herself up.
The woman took a good look at the stranger and saw that the stranger was holding an umbrella and was wearing Victorian like clothing with a hood and a somewhat long neckerchief.
Y/N POV
After pulling the woman up, seeing that she was getting soaked from the rain I hover my umbrella over her, while ignoring the rain that fell upon me.
"Want me to escort you to the closest shelter from the rain?" I asked. "I would appreciate it." The woman accepted my offer.
I nodded and led her to a shelter that was two blocks across from where we were at. When we got there, she thanked me, and I simply nodded with a smile and turned around to continue my walk through the rain.
"Kranus..." I said to myself. "Yes?" a voice spoke back.
'Who's Kranus...?'
"What am I supposed to do? It's been almost a year, and nothing has happened." I spoke.
"Is that what worries you? No significant event?" Kranus asked. "Yes, that's what I'm worried about, it's been too "quiet". Knowing my luck, I will not be surprised if I was dragged in by something or someone into something." I said while deflating.
"Not only that even after all this time I have no idea what to do right now ever since coming to this world." I said, "Then why not show me more of this normal life?" Kranus asks.
"..." I remained silent at Kranus's request.
'Wait, wait, wait what do I mean by showing him what a normal life is? Who is he and where am I?!'
As the rain falls on this city, I look up to the sky and sigh. I continued on my way.
"Well, I might as well enjoy this "normal" life and show you, Kranus." I told myself.
Then everything around me began to blur and shift very fast.
'?!'
Then my surroundings stop blurring and shifting to see myself back in the same place and area but without the rain.
'I don't remember this city...'
I was out taking my daily walk around the city, till I saw a familiar person and it looked like she was waiting for someone. I've got a feeling that she was looking for me, but I shrug it off and proceed to continue my walk. As I walked closer, she seemed to have spotted me and waved her hand at me before walking towards me.
"I should've trusted my guts..." I thought to myself as she and I stopped before each other.
"Sir, uuumm I would like to know what's your name?" she asked, and I looked at her. "Before I answer your question, how did you know where I was going to be and why were you looking for me?" I asked
"Well, you see, I've a hunch or feeling that I would meet you again around this part of the city..." she said. "Go on." I said with a nod.
"I came to look for you because when you escorted me out of the rain, I got a feeling that you were that type of person who would help if asked..." she said as she looked away from me while twirling her fingers.
'...'
"..." She got me there. "Uhhh..." the woman tries to continue our conversation, but I beat her to it.
"What do you need from me then?" I asked "Huh?" She was baffled at me.
"What do you need to ask of me?" I ask again. "Right, I was hoping to-" before she could finish her sentence, I agreed to help her.
"Very well, I will help." I spoke.
'What...?'
"W-what you didn't hear all that I got to say..." she said.
"I get the gist of what you want, and I'll help." I answered causally. "I-I see..."
'What do I mean help...? Help with what?'
"Are you disappointed?" I asked. "U-uh no I'm grateful that you are willing to help me...it's just that I thought it would take more to convince you..." she said.
I nod understandably at her.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, I'm Y/N." I said with a smile. "Likewise, Y/N. I'm *Static* and I look forward to working with you." she said with a smile.
I raised my brow at the static I heard from her, then I felt everything around me turn dark and I lost consciousness.
*Pit*
'...?'
*Patter*
'Rain?'
I looked up to the dark sky, when I suddenly felt the familiar wetness of the rain falling upon me. I don't know why but I feel exhausted. Like I could drop down anytime. There was something heavy in my hand. I look down to see something I never thought I would see myself doing.
'What the...?"
I was wielding a sword...But then why was I even wielding one in the first place. Then I quickly realized something and looked at my surroundings and I was truly shocked. Bodies, bodies everywhere. I look back at "my sword" then at my own body and see that I am riddled with all kinds of wounds.
'Did I do all of this...?'
I took a closer look at the dead and saw familiar features upon them.
'Sarkaz...'
Then a voice rang out.
"He's over here!" said a familiar voice.
Then I felt my body drop to the wet ground...and lost consciousness once more as voices faded away.
I feel something hard beneath me...
"*a*e *p Do*t*r." a blurred voice rang out.
'What?'
"Wa*e *p" said the blurred voice once again.
'...'
"Doctor, wake up!" a voice yelled out.
The loud voice woke me up spontaneously, causing me to fall backward.
*Thud*
"Ughhh...I'm awake..." I groaned. "You shouldn't stay up so late, Doctor. It's bad for your health." said a feminine voice.
I look up to see a brown hair Cautus looking down upon me.
"Sorry Amiya, but I had to finish that paperwork." I said while soothing the back of my head. "As long as you don't make it a habit, Doctor." Amiya responded.
"I won't." I said as I stood. "Want to go get some breakfast Amiya?" I asked.
"Mmmnn." Amiya nods to my offer. "Let's get going then." I said, walking towards the door with Amiya following from behind.
"What was that dream? Is it some kind of memory? If so, who's Kranus? Who was her? Why do I feel that they are both important..." I thought to myself.
Third POV
As Y/N and Amiya leave the office, A misty figure watches them.
"Starting to remember now, Y/N?" said Kranus. "Until you truly remember, I shall appear to you...Until then..." said Kranus as he fades away.
Author's Note
For those who don't know about Brave Frontier, here's a quick summary: BF is a gacha game that shutdown in 2022 (Rest in Peace) and the story is about the usual fantasy game with a mix of sci fi in it, where the mc is the chosen one who goes on to slaying demons and gods to facing conceptual and cosmic beings with the ability to summon beings and so on from past, present, and future. And yes, the mc does get to travel between worlds and timelines. Anyway with that out of the way, here's a heads up, the story is from Wattpad where I finally decide to bring it over to other website like this. But there will be a difference between them in quality as those old chapters and the new one here.
So, feel free to give suggestion or criticism to me if you think it could improve my writing, story, or whatsoever. Btw, I'm not the best when it comes to lore of other games like Arknights so feel free to point out anything that I miss or misunderstood about the lore/story.
