In the aftermath of one particular event that brought the world to its knees, one choice was made by two immortals. That event was wiped out of all memories and reversed.

Centuries later, these two immortals are reincarnated as children of Poseidon.

Chapter 1

Grover thought he was lucky to have found two powerful demigods, a pair of twins. Their smell was confusing, however, it wasn't a problem at the moment.

Dionysus had sent him out for an 'easy mission' to solve a common rumor heard in Maine concerning two demigods. If the young satyr had been quite skeptical at first, he had quickly found out that it was true when he had stumbled upon a pair of twins reducing a monster to dust. It took a few hours to convince the demigods to allow him to lead them to Camp Half-blood. Grover had wanted to contact Chiron or even Dionysus about the two newest demigods, but alas things went south the moment he had approached them.

The only good thing was that the demigods were good fighters. It would explain how they could have survived for so long on the streets.

"How did you get those weapons?" Grover asked as they walked along the road to the nearest city.

"Our mother gifted them to us," Perseus, or rather Percy as he liked to be called, answered him with a wide smile, "she prepared us to the best of her capacity."

"What.. What happened to her?" he hesitantly asked although he knew that it could be a sore topic to the twins.

The preteens exchanged a look. Grover patiently waited as they discussed in silence. The satyr made sure to look around them, but nothing was aloof and to his relief, there was no monster.

"She was killed," Dorea told him, breaking the silence established between the three of them, "it happened years ago. No worries."

It wasn't fine, but Grover didn't press her. The demigods had no reason to trust him. He wondered why they even agreed to let him lead them to Camp Half-blood. Was it perhaps he wasn't so much a threat to them? It couldn't be. The half-bloods truly knew more than they let on, however Grover wasn't going to pry on their secrets.

"Tell us a bit about you, Grover," Percy smiled at him, but something in his tone made him shiver a bit, "it'd be nice."

"You're the first satyr that has approached us."

"Oh… I'm twenty-eight, I'm pretty young compared to most satyrs… Us, satyrs, are keepers. Our job is to bring demigods to camp. I want to get a Searching License because I want to find Pan!"

"A Searching License?" Dorea wondered aloud, genuinely surprised.

"Yes. Without this license, we aren't allowed to go looking for Pan. In two thousand years, no satyr came back alive after all…" Grover trailed off as he thought of his father and his uncle.

The small group walked for hours. Grover relaxed more and more around the demigods that seemed to be easing off. In the early hours of the night, they reached a small town. Dorea suggested stealing a car, but as it would bring too much attention to them, she changed her proposition to buying a car. Grover was a bit concerned about how simple the twins made it. Percy's smile was full of mystery when he asked how they would pay for the car. Dorea's smile didn't give much of an answer when he asked how twelve year old children could drive a car. They rented a room and slept a few hours in peace.

Grover didn't even think of contacting Chiron. Walking for hours with fake shoes was exhausting. He was hyper paranoid because the demigods' smell brought more monsters than normal demigods.

In the morning, they left in the same car they bought. Grover still didn't know how they did it or even how they got their hands on so much money. But then, he realized that the twins could use the mist with ease. Driving the car was suddenly not hard for the two demigods.

It took them a little bit more than seven hours to reach New York. The demigods alternated driving every two hours. They talked and listened to music. There was almost no monster attack to Grover's relief.

"We should go to Camp Half-blood in the morning," the satyr said as they searched for a place to sleep, "I fear we might be attacked if we go now."

"Monsters are much more present in New York," Dorea commented as Percy parked the car near a motel, "no worries."

"Wait, you used to live in New York?" Grover asked, surprised.

"Yeah, but it's far too polluted for us, so mum took us away," Dorea responded with a sneer of disgust upon smelling the thick layer of pollution in the air.

It narrowed down who might be the twins' divine parent. But when it came to the twins, everything was confusing. Their smell, their abilities, and their fighting capacities.

Thanks to the mist, they met no obstacles. The following morning, Grover led them to a place under the protection of the Olympians to put the car in. The twins weren't upset about leaving their temporary home — probably because they were used to moving around — and agreed to leave the keys with the guard of the place. It was usually used for the supplies needed by the camp and other stuff such as the selling of crops.

The satyr led them towards Camp Half-blood. He was glad that the warehouse was not far away from the camp. Although the walk was peaceful, Grover could almost feel the nearby monster lurking in the shadows. The twins were relaxed and not even worried about being attacked.

"Relax, brother," Percy said with a smile, "we're here, right?"

Grover nodded, still anxious. He wanted to succeed in his assignment and proved to the elders that he was a capable satyr. That he deserved his Searching License.

"It's always near camp that things go south. "

The twins just nodded, "No worries, Grover."

Grover decided that he would just worry for them.

Things suddenly went south when the satyr smelled the Minotaur chasing them. He prompted them to walk faster as he looked around them.

"Where is the entrance of the camp?"

"By the tallest pine," the satyr nervously answered.

"I don't see it. Grover, we will fight the monster."

"But…"

"It's already here anyway," Percy added as an exciting smile appeared on his face as he pulled his weapon out, "just stay nearby."

Grover gave up. The twins were too excited when it came to monsters. He knew that they were good fighters, but he couldn't help worrying about their well being. He stood closely to them and watched them as they waited for the monster to appear. He wondered how the twins knew that the monster was so close.

Hooves made the ground shake as they approached at a fast pace their prey. Grover felt fear filling his entire being as the twins prepared themselves to the arrival of the beast. It roared, trustint its nose as it drew close to the location of the demigods. It barely adjusted its position before running into the direction of the motionless half-bloods. The Minotaur was impressive by its height and its strength, it was one of the most powerful monsters. The twins moved at the last moment, but they weren't fleeing. To his own horror, the pair bent their knees and jumped into the air. They fell on the back of the monster. Grinning like goblins in battle, they rode the beast as it continued running towards the nearest tree. Its head hit the trunk and bounced backwards. The twins adjusted their grip on the Pasiphae's son's horns as the latter began to become extremely agitated.

"It's fun!"

No, it's not, Grover thought, regretting being unable to fight monsters. Kill it!

The horns broke by the sheer raw strength of the twins. Grover was filled with fascination as they stumbled off the Minotaur's back. The demigods just grinned as they moved way too fast for Grover's eyes. One twin behind the monster and the other at the front. They ran towards each other with a wide smile, their swords, however, never touched the monster. But to Grover's awe, the Minotaur was killed. It was like they cut the air.

"At least, this time we haven't cut off a tree."

What? The satyr shook his head and approached the pair of demigods. He then prompted them into the direction of the camp.

"How did you do that?" he asked.

Percy just grinned at him, "Have you seen One Piece?"

"What's that?" Grover asked, wondering what was the link between the two.

Dorea gave him a look of disbelief.

"I'm shocked."

"Uh…"

"Does the camp have internet?"

Grover shook his head. The twins were disappointed in his answer. Smelling the strawberries, the young satyr felt excited and almost began to run. He led them through the forest towards a tall pine — he tried to not think of Thalia as much as possible — where there was an arch in stone. The forest grew darker as they reached the entrance of Camp Half-blood.

Camp Half-blood was lovely.

It was his home. Grover led the twelve year old demigods inside the camp towards the Big House, a two-story Victorian house, while answering a few questions.

"Oh, before I forget, I must warn you about the camp director. It's Mr. D. Be polite and don't upset him. There's Chiron too, the director of the activities."

"Does Mr. D stand for something?" Percy asked as they drew near the Big House.

"Uh…"

"The man's aura is powerful. He might be a God," Dorea commented as if she was talking about the weather.

"Like the feet-winged guy," Percy said.

Dorea nodded, "Same level of power."

"Uh…"

Definitely not normal demigods.

The twins asked if the satyr could show them around before meeting the camp director and Chiron. Grover only agreed because it would delay his doom — sometimes he was a bit dramatic. Grover spoke of the camp, of the various activities that the twins could do during the day. He talked of the mess hall and the rules, of Capture the flag, the game played every Friday, of the general rules they must respect, and of the different people. He introduced them to the twelve cabins.

"But there's no cabin for Lady Hestia and Lord Hades? How's fair to them?" Percy wondered aloud.

It wasn't fair at all.

"Oh, that's Lady Hestia. We always offer her our spoils of war," Dorea said, pointing at the small figure tending a fire.

Grover stared. He never noticed the Goddess. Somehow, it made him feel ashamed. Under his breath, he swore he would make it up.

"Mr. Underwood, you know the rules!" the familiar voice of his patron made him jump.

He slowly turned his attention away from the fire. Dionysus stood behind him, his arms crossed against his chest as he stared at the small group or more especially the two newest demigods.
