At the tournament, people were gathered there as the tournament was underway, as the fighters were now signing into the competition under the night sky.

However, as it was, there was another announcement that was going to be made as Fasha was now on her podium. And in contrast to her usual Pink clothing that she usually wears, she was instead, wearing a black funeral robe. Complete with a black veil that is see-through, showing all of her face.

Meanwhile, Goku was wearing a black tuxedo, and matching black pants that was fitting for his frame. As was his fellow males of Fasha's Empire. While the females wore funeral dresses that were black in color.

In fact, some of the audience also wore black colored funeral outfits too. Including Chi-Chi herself, who was also wearing a Funeral outfit similar to Fasha's, even though she still wore her armor underneath.

And the reason why they were wearing such, was because of the aforementioned announcement that Fasha made.

A little friend of hers, who was also a friend of a best friend of hers, passed on of a stroke, caused by a Hematoma. And right when he got healthy as well, after having gotten his surgery.

Which was sad for her, since she known him well, particularly as he already made some Mangas that she also thought was so artsy and beautiful. Not to mention that the stories that he has written in the Mangas, that had her admittedly becoming a fan of, being based off of some Oriental Mythology after all.

Same could be said for Goku as well, since he loved the art and the action in the Manga, and enjoyed reading them, and watched the cartoons. And when he heard the news about his passing, he was as saddened as he once was when he heard of the manner of his Grandpa's passing.

And the same could be said for Chi-Chi too. As she too admired the Manga that she remembered reading with her dad. So hearing about the artist's passing, also left her feeling bummed out and saddened.

Which was why, Chi-Chi, Goku, and Fasha were here at the tournament, feeling Somber as they were giving their funeral to the man behind the mangas he created.

Soon, once the crowd was in place, Fasha was soon speaking out as she began her speech.

"My people, we are gathered here today, to bring our tribute, and love to our friend, that we have unfortunately lost, this month. A Manga artist that we know by his little name, Toriyama." Fasha said, somberly.

"As you may know, he was known for his hits in his Manga entertainment known as Dr. Bump, Braggin Call, and even Dragon Adventures, among others. That ranged from his Comedy, his Martial Arts Action, and even some occasional tragedy in his stories, whether they were great, or whether they were mediocre, the fact remains is that this man, left behind his legacy within these Mangas' Pages, and within the Anime that was made from them. Plus, in my honest opinion, he had yet to create any manga, or show, that is outright awful and the worst thing he has ever created throughout his lifetime.

And his work has proved itself able to let out the emotions that is able to tug at our heartstrings, whether he warmed our hearts, made us laugh our asses off, and even left us shedding tears at the stories that was not only told through the dialogue that is spoken, but also at the art that he has made within the pages, and in the Anime based off of them. And he seemingly loved the people that was around him, along with the business of creating these stories through these Mangas. He loved his job of making these stories come to life in these pages to where he seemingly stole the show in terms of how popular these stories have gotten in his prime. And even while no longer in his prime, he still gave us the entertainment that we have come to enjoy from his manga and Anime, all the way to the end of his lifetime.

Again, whether he made some great works, or some mediocrity, the fact remains is that he is an influential Mangaka, and artist, and his passing is one of the saddest news that has been made for the world to hear. And it is a bitter pill to swallow, to know that the world of the Manga artists has lost one of their own. Among them all, he was the finest artist. May he rest in peace." Fasha said, finishing her speech.

All while the people, Bulma, Yamcha, Puar, and even Oolong being among them, was standing in silence as they all mourned the fallen artist that they also know of, as the creator of the mangas that they too have read. And hearing about his passing, also left them feeling saddened to hear the news.

Goku piped in, wanting to give his own thoughts on Toriyama. Which Fasha decided to grant since she knew that there could be things that Goku was wanting to get off of his chest about the fallen Mangaka.

Soon, he was on the podium himself, while being given a stool courtesy of some of Fasha's guards, for him to stand on to be able to reach the microphone. Which he was testing out.

"Testing. One Two Three." He said into the microphone, hoping it's picking up his voice. Which it is. Before he prepared himself for his talk.

"Hello. As you know, my name is Goku. Prince of mommy's empire." He said, introducing himself while somber. "And I just want to interject in on the tribute to Toriyama, and give my own experience towards his work."

After some breath taking, and some back rubbing from Fasha to relax him, Goku was now ready to speak.

"While Fasha City was growing, and when my mom's empire was getting stronger, we both were educated about Earth when it came to Geographic matters, and money, among others. And while we got educated, we learned about his work, along with the anime that we eventually went around to watching on our off days. But I was the first to see it when I saw it on the Cartoon Channel, on its action Anime block known as CarToonami. And since that day of seeing it, I was hooked." He said.

"I continued to watch episodes of the show every time I was free to do so after my education is done, while Mommy was looking over the building of her future city, and the development. Until one time when she was on her break, when we watched the show together on CarToonami. We enjoyed the episode together, and she did come around to admiring the show, eventually. She said that it was stupid on occasions, particularly with the screaming. Which is true, it was occasionally a stupid show. But it was also a comedy on occasions, which is what Stupidity associates with. Plus, the screaming is called for, since it means they're powering up and getting stronger. But the fact remains, that this show became our favorite show to watch together."

Goku then became somber as he continued while shedding his tears. "So, when the news came out, about his demise, I felt that a part of me died too. After all, his anime was influential to me, and I always enjoyed seeing his shows. So to learn of his death, does leave me feeling saddened to know, that his work, has lost its maker. And things may not be the same without him around. I only wish him the best of luck, and may Kami watch over him in the afterlife." Goku then said, sadly.

Before he was then mourning him a bit for some time, before he smiled even with tears in his eyes. "But no matter what, even though he is gone, his work is still around. And I know that his legacy shall live on for a long time, through them. And hopefully, we may continue to be entertained by the Manga that he has drawn, and the Anime that was made from it, for generations to come, especially when we introduce our own children to the show. And that he could be looking down on us, smiling that we are still grateful for the fact that his work exists because of him."

Chi-Chi couldn't have said it better herself. As she agreed. She does plan on showing their children the show that she loved, in the future. If so that even their descendants could remember the show and its legacy in the next generation. And they could even show their Childrens' children the show as well. If to prove that his work won't be forgotten. And that the world is going to miss him.

"Even as I am crying, I just know that it was a fun time to be a fan of his work. And even as he has passed on, I won't be too sad because he is gone. Instead, I shall smile, because he was here. And because of his work that he made, will remain. He may no longer be here among us. But his work will." He said, smiling as he looked up at the sky. "Yeah. His work will… indeed."

He was now finished with his speech as he was now getting off of the stool. Which was removed by Fasha's servants as she was now back in front of the podium with the microphone.

"Now, without further ado, at this moment, I would like for all of us to stand, and be silent as we mourn this recently departed soul, for a few moments. Until we have tolled the bell ten times. Afterwards, the tournament shall begin tomorrow morning." Fasha then spoke. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The crowd did so, as everyone was now silent as the bell was now sounding.

And done.

Sorry that this is pretty short. But I just thought I'd do a little tribute of my own for the late Akira Toriyama. Sorry if I was pretty late in releasing this.

And to let you know, what Goku said in this is based off of my own first experiences with Dragon Ball Z, as like probably many of you guys, Toonami is where I first saw the Dragon Ball Z show. And I did start to love it. Particularly in the Cell Saga. And heck, I did find entertainment from the Majin Buu saga too, regardless of whatever shortcomings that it suffers from. (Like when is someone else going to get the turn to finish off the villain instead of Goku?) I even felt fond of Fat Buu as I thought he looked adorable.

And now, there's going to be a new show that is in the works, and I have to say, I do look forward to seeing it. For Toriyama, of course.

But yeah, I have to say, I hope that you readers enjoyed this little filler fic that is a tribute to Toriyama. And may he rest in peace.
